1. When and how did you start getting interested in photography?

I started photography in 2013 but more seriously in 2014 after an injury that immobilized me for several weeks. So I took advantage of this time to learn shooting modes, manual shooting, photography vocabulary and techniques. I was first very methodical in learning how to use the camera and then I took a lot of time to discover and learn the composition. I quickly turned to street photography, first in black and white and then in color. I evolved and improved my equipment and my technique and independently, without training or lessons.

2. If you had to describe yourself as a photographer in one sentence, what would that sentence be?

I would use the well-known sentence of Henri Cartier Bresson:

“To photograph is to put the head, the eye and the heart on the same line of sight.”

3. Is there anything you learned during your photography journey that you wish you had known when you were just starting out?

It’s not the material that makes the picture. Of course the need for quality is often linked to the price that we put in a camera. However, this is not a sufficient rule. I took beautiful photos with an entry-level camera or my smartphone that I will not do again with my current camera which is more expensive. You have to find a camera that suits your practice and adapts to your lifestyle.

4. What inspires you?

I really like street photography in general, but more specifically some street photographers who focus on capturing portraits of offbeat people. I really like characters that are a little out of time in everyday street scenes. I am also very inspired by the vintage atmosphere reminiscent of the films of the time, the night street photos which I still do not do enough and also the style of the street photographers who work in Asian atmospheres like Japan.

5. How would you describe your photography?

My photography is “local” street photography. It is local because it is not in New York, Paris or London that I practice it like the great photographers but rather the towns and villages of my region of Brittany in FRANCE. This gives a more rustic photograph but with urban codes. I’m obsessed with people’s posture. Respecting image rights, I want people to be able to imagine people without seeing their faces.

Technically, I photograph discreetly but without hiding. I value my subjects without trapping them. I immortalize them only to respect them. I never go out without my camera bag !

This is a Etsy Poland handmade Zodick plush and it is pretty good for the first ever plush of the character.

I just wish it had a tiny devil tail like in the game and this plush looks like a vintage UFO catcher plush you would see in Japan if the creator was still alive and his game got that Xbox port.

Similar to this style of plush.

This plush reminded me of a old PC game beanbag plush from the game Creatures 2 called a Norndoll that a few copies had included with it.

It had droopy ears and looked stitch like before that movie was a thing while having sewn eyes with a tail.

I sold it a long time ago and it didn't have a tush tag so I randomly found it on google images and it was a surprise to me.

The Norn plush I used to have was the purple one which is still rare but was a common color and was the same size as the small giggle monster plush with one eye.

The plush was lightly stuffed and couldn't stand up by itself kind of like a understuffed beanie baby similar to the plush I got from K&K games or K&K sales that felt similar to this plush.

This is my guess on what this Zodick plush feels like and if it was $50 I might buy it.

This plush looks good but I would rather wait for it to be on sale or Etsy has a coupon code to bring down the price a little.

Maybe check if I can get a plush as big as the John Doe one that looks more Zodick like with his tail attached and mouth open then it would be worth the price.

The infamous Date Soma, Captain of the Uminyudo pirate ship, the capital ship of the Funayurei pirate fleet famed as one of the five largest pirate fleets and the worst one to come across, is most well-known for his tenacity, the imposing aura every survivor remembers him by and the rare swordsmanship only recognized in some northern parts of the land of the rising sun as part of the emishi that had been shunned from Japan by the imperial authorities' legacy. Never has there been a single enemy lucky enough to escape the Funayurei after choosing to stand against Soma regardless of whether they were pirate ships or royal fleets, and only those he has personally granted freedom to can rest easy at night without keeping an eye open.

In spite of his reputation as a ruthless pirate however, Soma takes great care of the pirates under his wing and often grants the innocent a choice rather than immediately sinking them to the bottom of the sea. This kinder side towards his own men, paired with his strategies, resilience and greatly amassed power, is the main reason why many continue to obey him, as well as why many prefer to steer clear from the places he's known to be at, much too afraid of accidentally directing his wrath towards them. In the same vein, Soma upholds his pirate code down to the letter, never once having violated it.

Most of Soma's time is spent on the Uminyudo, at times boarding other ships of the Funayurei as well depending on the circumstances, but it's not an incredibly rare sight to come across him at various taverns either. When setting foot on land, it's always with the intent to either acquire (better) alcohol or to sell rarities he's come across at sea for exorbitant prices, but unlike many pirates, the Uminyudo and the Funayurei never attack ports nor cities where civilians can be found. As such, the general public's opinion on the Uminyudo remains rather unclear - with some wishing for him to be caught and killed, and others offering to cover for him if need be.

The Uminyudo pirates and the Funayurei fleet

Named after the Umibozu yokai from Soma's birth region of Tohoku, the Uminyudo primary ship as well as its allied forces conform to the myths of japanese folklore that stem from Umibozu and its creation of Funayurei.

The Uminyudo pirates are rumored to only attack sailors when the sea is unusually calm, most often on nights with a clear moon, and as such "the calm before the storm" has become a collective fear of all those who set out to the sea without baring a pirate flag. The Uminyudo under Soma's leadership may choose to spare the sailors willing to hand over all of their ships' goods, but the naval ship they are a part of will always either be destroyed or made their own in his wake, allowing the sailors' escape to only ever be made on smaller or makeshift boats. That being said, there have been instances (though few in number) in which sailors have chosen to become pirates under Soma's leadership rather than risk their lives to reach the mainland on their own.

In comparison, the Uminyudo's treatment of other pirates depends on several factors - from the number of pirates onboard, to their infamy, and to the state of their ship/s. For similarly large pirate groups, there is generally little mercy to be shown, and the Uminyudo endeavors to sink every massive pirate ship until theirs is the last to remain, therefore also perceiving each pirate fleet as an enemy. When it comes to smaller pirate groups, though... the Funayurei pirate fleet has gained its name after sinking hundreds of pirate ships and granting them the privilege of making a choice: to either sink and die as proud pirates under their own flags, or to discard their former identities and join Soma's fleet. With the fleet being comprised solely of defeated pirate groups that chose to obey the Uminyudo, they are considered "ghosts of pirates who have died at sea, seeking to bring others down with them", hence receiving the japanese folklore name of Funayurei.

As opposed to the tactics used against sailors, the Uminyudo and Funayurei tend to use the weather to their advantage when faced against fellow pirates, creeping in on them during foggy, rainy or stormy conditions and taking them by surprise, typically already dealing cannon blows before the enemy can become aware of their presence. As such, many lesser ships have started sinking before they could even tell that there is an enemy nearby, and many have sank as a result of cannon fire paired with rough waves.

Though there have been cases of other pirates or naval fleets successfully sinking Funayurei ships, the worst of their losses have always resulted from accidentally encroaching on siren territory after being tossed wayward by the rough seas during storms. Unable to make contact with other ships from the fleet and being beckoned to sail even closer to the sirens after listening to their mesmerizing songs, many pirates from the Funayurei have found their final resting place deep within the waters, leaving only their empty ships behind as warning. The Uminyudo (and thus Soma) has never personally experienced the call of a siren nor has it ever seen any, but it has found plenty of its allied ships laying in the middle of nowhere with no soul left on board to tell him their tales. After years as a ship captain and then as a fleet commander, the first siren Soma has laid his eyes on, is Seiroku.

Today I woke up with just enough time to go and grab a protein drink and a pastry before catching my bus to Maastricht. Despite the fact that I seem to be continually at the grocery store, I currently have no food besides a few dry ingredients that cannot be made into a full meal. Or what do I know, maybe plain cous cous would be ideal.

The whole vibe of waking up in a rush and chugging a chocolate protein shake on a bus feels very last semester coded and I paid the price for it. By the time I got off at my stop I was feeling very sick and unhappy. I wish I didn't get car(bus?)sick so easily.

The walk was nice though, very classic early spring day. Not quite enough to completely lose the jacket, but I left it unzipped. There's lots of flowers blooming, but my favorite are the fruit trees. There's a huge one right on my walk to the uni that has flooded the entire street with pink petals, if I could I would've stopped and sat there for awhile. I should be a little more spoiled growing up with cherry blossom season coinciding with my birthday every year in Japan, but I love fruit tree blossoms no matter where I am. I always secretly feel like they're a gift for me, a marker of better times ahead. Genuinely, I think Spring is the best time to be born.

At the uni, I found my supervisor's office empty so I decided to sit in the break room and wait to be retrieved. A part of me was nervous because my tablet seems to be stuck in British time for only some things (?) One of which includes the times it reports my notifications for calender events. I was a bit paranoid that what I had assumed that the time it was telling me was correct (1 hour earlier than the normal time) and that I had incorrectly assumed it was reporting incorrectly. I fully considered going upstairs to the eeg lab to check if they were in there, but I was pretty sure we didn't have a participant today.

In the break room I checked my email for any "hey where are yous" or "we're canceling today" but I couldn't find any. Instead, I found an email from the PhD student leading the conference in Italy this summer sending me what I needed to apply for a volunteer position. I worked on that for a little bit, and I listened as some other master's students came in and started talking to eachother. Something that makes me feel kinda sad is how I haven't really made any friends in my master's. A combination of living in Aachen, not taking the electives, and sacrificing social invitations because I was overwhelmed with my workload has led to only a handful of school aquantinces. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the friends I've made but I just don't feel that connected with my university. That really sucks.

I did see German Sri Lankan and got to tell her I had my phone stolen in case she had tried to text. I also finally got the information about her gynecologist that I had promised to give to German American. She offered to have us go back together, which would have been perfect except for the fact that after an hour and a half of waiting I finally found the email of my supervisor canceling our meeting. I fucking hate the outlook inbox. I don't know how you can design something that does literally the opposite of everything you'd want it to do. I'm 100% a Gmail girlie. So, I sent German Sri Lankan a message on snapchat (the only messaging I can currently use) telling her I would be leaving early and got out of there.

I was now tired, hungry, uncomfortable, and annoyed. As I walked back I grabbed my pastry to eat and discovered I had made a horrible mistake. I thought I had grabbed spinach and feta, instead it was filled with some sort of bland, creamy cheese. It did not taste good at all. How does the Aldi have a better bakery selection than the Rewe?? Some things I will never understand. I also haven't mentioned that my outfit just wasn't hitting today, so I really just didn't feel cute.

When I got back to the apartment, I collapsed face first onto the sofa. I took a little half awake nap to banish the last remains of nausea from my system, and got up just in time to catch German American and authentic australian coming back in from enjoying the lovely day outside. We all had a really nice conversation that eventually turned to a discussion around cameras. That was when German American started showing me some photos she had taken with her film camera on a trip to Singapore and I made an insane discovery.

In one of her photos, I saw someone I recognized. A boy that I had gone to daycare with in Singapore, who I had last visited in 2017. Come to find out, the town where his family lives is the town where German American was born and lived in until she was 8. They were neighbors and are still close family friends. After freaking out for a bit, we called his mom and shared the discovery. The call lasted for a long, long time. She remembered my birthday and some things that even I had forgotten about, which was a pleasent suprise. Something I found interesting was that his mom brought up how unhappy I had been around my mom the last time we visited them, and how much happier I seemed now. Which, yes, but crazy that it was noticeable enough for her to say it to me. I kept trying to figure out how she felt about my mom, it was a little hard to pin down. We ended up calling my mom too and they talked for a little bit, but still, crazy coincidence.

After all of that, I finally got to go grocery shopping. For dinner I made myself a giant pot of udon which was exactly what I needed. Then came the best part of today, authentic australian asked for a haircut.

We set him up in the hallway, and I grabbed my hair clips and hair scissors to compliment the thinning sheers authentic australian had bought for the occasion. He just wanted it to be thinned, but he said he wouldn't mind the ends being trimmed as well, so we got to work. Turns out the random trims I've given myself over the years has meant I've absorbed a lot more hair cutting techniques than I've realized. Not that it's super difficult to mess up on someone who has truly an insane amount of wavy hair.

German-american worked on one side and I the other, eventually stopping when we reached the top to make sure it stayed even. I even ended up cutting him little curtain bangs which was nerve wracking to do. After all our meticulous sectioning he still wanted more volume taken off so we just kinda hacked away at the back with thinning scissors. Finally, we had removed an acceptable amount of hair. His ends had been really dry though, so I asked him if he would let me put a conditioner in it too. We kept telling him this is what he was missing by not having any sisters.

This is where the rest of the night's insanity began.

I spritzed his hair to make it damp enough, but it was still so thick that it was taking awhile. I gave german-american the spray bottle so that she could take over on the side I wasn't standing on. This quickly snowballed into authentic australian recieving an impromptu shower. As I took photos of him holding the ball of hair we had removed from his head, she kept spraying him directly in the face. He just kept saying he couldn't be mad at her because she had been so nice to him this week (waiting at the hospital with him for 5 hours, making the quiche, cutting his hair). She took that as a go ahead to absolutely drench him.

Eventually this became her chasing him and trying to catch him off guard, but it was genuinely the funniest thing I had seen all week. Peak sibling behaviour. I also absolutely helped her do it all as well. At one point she was pushing against his door and trying to spray inside while he kept trying to shut it. A moment that is burned into my brain is when he stuck his hand out in a flat, defensive palm and she responded with a single squirt to the middle of his hand. The entire time jazz (see above) was playing in the background. Incredible night.

Authentic australian did eventually take and hide the spray bottle, but I know where it is. This is not over. Now they're both a little jumpy around each other.

Hello! Recently, I’ve managed to get my hands on the Joker Games novels! If you don’t mind, could I ask about the identity of the D-Agency spy in the “French Indochina Strategy” chapter? I couldn’t guess who he was since there was not much information about his appearance. Thanks a lot!^^

From what I know the D Agency spy involved in that mission takes the identity of Gao (ガオ), an half Chinese half Thai local merchant (地元の商人 Jimoto no shōnin) in French Indochina.

As the story was never transposed into animation we can’t tell who of the “Joker Game” anime spies is playing the role of Gao for the simple fact that the novel world and the anime world are kind of like two parallel universes, the novel world having a lot more spies but missing some of our beloved ones (an let me not be started on how the stage version messed up continuity even more).

However, should we want to try to theorize a potential inclusion of “French Indochina Strategy” into the anime world, we can speculate the role of Gao would be taken by one of the D Agency spies who were free at the time... if there was one.

So let’s check if this is possible.

According to what I was told “French Indochina Strategy” takes place in 1940 between July and September.

Where were our beloved D Agency spies in that period?

Well, according to the timeline I made:

Odagiri resigned from D Agency on 11 April 1939 and he’s assigned to be a First Lieutenant (previously he was a Second Lieutenant) in Kwantung, Manchuria. [XX Double Cross]

Although I headcanon Sakuma left after him, very likely Sakuma left for the battlefront before Odagiri (and, in fact he doesn’t show up through the whole episode)... and okay, Sakuma is not a spy but I love him so I want to point out is whereabouts. [Joker Game]

Hatano is in France from 15 June 1939 to Summer 1940. [Miscalculation] He moves back to Japan where, always in summer, he impersonates, along with Tazaki, a Military Police man when Price  is arrested [Pursuit]. In fall, along with Kaminaga, he’s among the D Agency men who beat up the Wind Agency men who go at Shirahata’s house. [Double Joker]

Fukumoto learns that classified info was being leaked from the Japanese army in Shangai in July 1939. It’s reasonable to assume this means he was assigned to that case and moved to Shangai. The whole thing will end in July 1941 with Oikawa’s death. [City of temptation]

Amari is on the Tokimaru which started its travel on 21 June 1940. At the end of said travel he’ll leave D Agency and move to Honolulu to raise Emma with Frate. [Code name: Cerberus]

Miyoshi, between August and September 1939 moves to Berlin to study art, consequently becomes an art dealer and dies there on 13 December 1940. [Coffin]

Jitsui starts living in the Shirahata household between August and September 1939. His mission there ends in the fall of 1940. [Double Joker]

Tazaki is in Manchukuo from July 23 to 25, 1939 [Asia Express]. We know he is in Japan in summer, as he impersonates, along with Tazaki, a Military Police man when Price is arrested. [Pursuit]

Kaminaga arrives in London in the middle of October 1939, is kept under surveillance by the SIS and, ultimately captured by them. He escapes on November 16 after having been held captive for a week [Robinson]. The next we know is in fall 1940 he’s at Shirahata’s home (likely in October since we saw Gamo reporting to Kazato on 30 September) disposing of the Wind Agency members along with Hatano. [Double Joker]

So, in theory, the only spy among the ones introduced in the anime who could have had free time to go in French Indochina in between July and September is Kaminaga, the other spies being busy in that period.

However, since D Angecy continued to train spies, you can even see him as a completely new spy, trained after our beloved 8 spies left the agency.

You changed back into your clothes before walking out to the cashier and handing her the clothes, taking out your credit card and getting your total.

You put the card in the machine and put in the code, taking the bagged clothing after paying and wishing the cashier a good day, which she responded with a stuttered “You too!”. Walking out of the store into the mall you ignored your personal bodyguard that your dad hired in favor of walking towards the exit, the bodyguard following. “Young master, your father requires you.” You groaned as you walked out of the mall, “What does he want now?” Seeing the car you took you sped up, “Confidential.” Was all he said, “It’s about school, isn’t it?” “Yes,” “God damn it.”

Shit, I look so out of place.’ You felt the stares of some people, but was ignored for the most part. “(L/N)!” You turned around to see a girl from your class, “Will you dance with me?” She bowed a little, flustered. “Oh, no, sorry,” You gave her a smile, “I don’t dance,” She straightened up, “Oh, okay! Sorry for bothering you,” She walked away.

You sat alone at a table, away from most people with an exception of the loners. “Would you like to dance?,” You looked up to see a couple more kids from your class, “I was going to ask!” You stared at the two kids as they argued before feeling a tug on your arm, suddenly pulled to your feet and away from the bickering teenagers. “Bokuto?! What are you doing?” He pulled you to the dance floor and you both stood there, Bokuto with a flustered face and you with a confused one. “Um, hi.” He meekly said as he looked away from you, face getting more red. You chuckled before grabbing his arm and putting it on your shoulder, “Guess I’m dancing with you, huh?”

A smile went across Bokuto’s face, “Y-yeah,” he stuttered, “My jealous little baby?” The smile went away as he suddenly hugged you close, “Shut up!” He whined, “I just wanted to be with you…” You laughed and kissed him.

TCGF Donghua Masterpost: How to Watch Legally!~

✨First things to know:✨

There are two places to watch: the official Bilibili App/Website, or Bilibili's YouTube Channel.

Episodes are going to be simulcast, with hard-coded English subtitles on launch!

Both are paid services, if you want to watch on-release as it airs. Price varies per region.

You can also watch for free on YouTube two weeks after an episode airs live. You will not be able to watch for free on Bilibili except for ep1.

The YouTube channel will only have free episodes for a limited time, so if you are watching for free, do not dally! They will be locked behind a paid sub after some time, too.

IMPORTANT: The TGCF donghua on YouTube is region-locked. (Unavailable countries: North/Central/South America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia.) But if you are affected, you can use a VPN. Just pay for the sub and then use VPN.

ALTERNATIVELY: Everyone can watch on the Bilibili website, as it has no region locks! You can pay on the website via PayPal!

The Bilibili app itself is region-locked, but Android users can easily use an APK (and pay with GooglePay) to circumvent this. iOS users are best off sticking to the website only, but some counties may allow the app to be downloaded (just check first).

You will need a Bilibili account if you're going to use the Bilibili App/Website. But it's not difficult to make (guide will be linked below), and if you have one for the TGCF manhua, you can just use that one.

My July toy haul finally arrived, plus a Penny’s Box Antu doll, because she arrived recently as well. I got the bunny/rabbit one, which was one of the few I wanted the most. I love these little dolls, they are very well made, and well-priced as well. I wish I could get a few more but, the times are making it a real struggle to just pull the trigger, plus these are trading figures making it a bit of a pain if you get doubles (I wish I could afford a full box, but that would mean a certain double of the bunny). I hope to be able to get one of the boys as well. The current shipping costs are making me hesitate a bit; due to Giyu’s box size, shipping this time was a bit of a low blow, that I wasn’t expecting this time around... I don’t know when/if I’ll recover. T___T;;
