Decided to make a Code Lyoko OC!! Here she is: Klara Pepr. Yes, I based her on Splatoon BC why not :3 She's shy, likes drawing, animating, photography and Military activities (Though she keeps that last one a secret)

Here’s the script for Genies in Lyoko.

One day, Steven and I were talking to the genie team about our favorite show, Code Lyoko. The genie team were very impressed, when all of a sudden, strange things began to occur. One example was a public bus was driving too fast out of control to the petrochemical plant! And at the very moment, 2 genies were reported seen in an old factory in France. So we all went to see. When we arrived, we met a boy named Jeremy. He said he’s heard of the genie team and says they can help his friends stop XANA, who was responsible for the strange things occurring. So, he chose 10 of the genies to go to Lyoko. They each took turns being scanned in the scanner and they were virtualized into the ice sector. They found Ulrich and battled the Krabs. Then they went through a way tower that took them to the desert sector, where they found Odd and saved him from the Kankrelats. Next, they went through another way tower that took them to the mountain sector, where they found Yumi and saved her from the hornets. Next, Jeremy typed in the code Scipio and that made the transporter appear take them to Sector 5, where they had to rescue Aelita from the creepers. She’s the only one who can deactivate an activated tower. When XANA activates a tower on Lyoko, he can launch an attack on the real world. Yumi, Odd and Ulrich got on their vehicles and Aelita used her wings and they, along with the genie team entered the tunnel that took them to the forest sector, where the activated tower is located. But they had to fight some tarantulas that were in the way. After the tarantulas were beaten, they saw the activated tower. But they got an unexpected surprise. There was William! he needed rescuing too! A Scyphozoa has linked its tentacles to William’s back, taking control of him! They worked hard and then Yumi tossed her fan and cut the tentacles off of his back. William was very relieved they came to save him. And while he and the others battled XANA’s creatures, Aelita went into the activated tower and entered the code Lyoko. Soon, the genie team and the Lyoko warriors were devirtualized and sent back to earth. Then we watched and waited for Yumi & Aelita to come out of the scanners too. And when the scanner doors opened, we all gasped in amazement! Aelita & Yumi were wearing genie outfits! They were the new genies! Everyone was very happy. But none were more happy than me & Steven. It was the best day of our lives that the genie team met the Lyoko warriors and they promised to lend a hand if XANA ever launches another attack. And so, we all went back home so Aelita & Yumi can tell the genie team all about their amazing stories. The end.

Wow, it really does feel like 2007 again. XD This boy's kimono was such a pain to draw and color... Thank goodness for tracing. lol You'd think after watching this cartoon so many times, I'd memorize his kimono patterns but nope. I didn't include his sword because I was tried of drawing. lmao

At last, I’m back with the last of the Layers of Lyoko series: the Desert Sector. Anyone missed me? *grins*

So let’s start with the middle layer: the Dunes. With shifting sands and harsh winds, this is probably the most difficult middle layer to navigate. But once again, it’s the only layer from which you can enter the towers. At the very least, most monsters have a difficult time navigating it as well, with only the bigger monsters with longer legs being able to withstand the winds.

The upper layer is the Mirage. It’s not a layer virtualized humans can enter, at least not without special access codes. In this layer, larger versions of normal monsters can appear and attack you. However, you cannot attack them; you have to defeat them in a different way. These bigger monsters cannot move aside from attacking you, but you can move towards them, and then, just like a real mirage, they will disappear once you get close enough. Theoretically, with the access code, Jeremy could also materialize the Lyoko warriors here to launch larger-scale attacks on the monsters, but once the monsters get too close to the warrior in question, the warrior will get devirtualized as well. And anyway, Jeremy is still working on figuring this access code out.

The bottom layer is the Tombs. It’s a labyrinth of dusty underground hallways. There’s only a select few entrances from which you can enter this layer from the Dunes, so if you go here, a coordinator has to be present to tell you where to enter and exit so you don’t have to travel a large distance in the Dunes to get to your goal. On the other hand, large monsters cannot appear here, and it’s easy to play a game of squash with the smaller monsters, destroying them by just kicking them against the walls and watching them bounce.

That’s the last of this series, but I’m probably not done with writing about Lyoko in a hypothetical reboot yet. I’ve already written about the Cookie Store, and I’ve been thinking about writing a series of four one-shots of Aelita exploring the sectors while she’s still stuck in Lyoko. Not sure when I’ll get to that though.

Code Lyoko (2003-2007) / Code Lyoko Evolution (2013) - 3D Environments

After the sceneries from Earth, I couldn’t possibly not do a gifset about Lyoko, the virtual world from my favourite childhood cartoon. Once again, wether you liked Evolution or not, I found the work on the 3D parts really interesting. It was like coming back to the wonderfully detailed and a bit eerie backgrounds from season 1 while keeping a more simple and uniform tone to give the show an identity, as they did starting with season 2. Would’ve loved to see the Forest and Ice Sectors in HD though.

Possible Fridge Brilliance - Code Lyoko

In Franz Hopper, when XANA is talking to Jeremie after having messed with the Materialization program, having effectively stranded Odd, Ulrich and Yumi in Sector 5 with a horde of Creepers and (apparently) materialized Aelita in the Desert Sector to be drained by the Schypazoa, XANA chooses to tell Jeremie "admit you're defeated" instead of getting rid of him too, given how he (to his knowledge) won.

But then it hit me why XANA engaged in this Bond Villain-esque moment: because by this point Jeremie had done plenty to XANA that made consider the blonde nerd a rival or even arch-eneny amongst the Lyoko Warriors:

Stopped XANA (who was disguised as him) from being able to permanently get rid of the other Lyoko Warriors in the simulation bubble and ultimately defying his expectations in Ghost Channel.

Materialized Aelita with Code: Earth and had XANA not taken steps to make it that pulling the juice would've also done in Aelita as well, would've meant the end for XANA.

Created the Marabounta, which even if it did go sideways, legitimately had XANA freaked out for a couple of moments and posed a threat to the mad A.I.

Showed he gained the knowledge on how to activate towers and possess people like XANA does in Tip-Top Shape, even if the possessing part did get turned by XANA into something that would've killed the Jeremified Odd by draining him of his energy.

Given all that happened by then, XANA definitely wanted to rub it in to the guy who proved he wasn't infallible. Especially given how XANA can be a real sadist when given the chance to, as other previous examples throughout the show demonstrate.

A Short, Part-Crack Part Serious Rant

So in Code Lyoko you’ve got Ulrich, who is majorly crushing on Yumi. You’ve got William, who is also majorly crushing on Yumi. And you’ve got Yumi, who is majorly crushing on Ulrich. Looking at their relationship through adult eyes instead of a child’s nostalgia filter, I find myself...kinda hating it. I groan at the love triangle with the obvious answer (hint: not William) and yell at every aborted confession, not out of a shipper’s broken heart but out of sheer disbelief and anger that this is STILL dragging on. Ulrich and Yumi’s “Will They or Won’t They” is so full of miscommunication and dodging the issue I question whether they would even function as a couple, and hate the writers for beating on this dead horse for three seasons. And then I get to Episode 58, where all I can say is... What the hell, Ulrich? You know, it’s bad enough that every time Yumi so much as talks to William, you bristle jealously. Bad enough that instead of talking to her about it, you decide to get back at her by making HER jealous, even if she has shown absolutely no inkling of romantic interest in William thus far. Bad enough you drag Sissi into your passive-aggressive wounded male pride shtick; sure she’s kind of a bitch, but she genuinely likes you and deserves better than to be a tool to hurt the person you REALLY like. And can I say that last part is HUGELY unflattering? Because it is. Still, I could pretend it was just because of the love triangle bs and you might grow out of it when you got older. But then you see Johnny, a kid who can’t be older than ten, crushing on Yumi, and turn that jealous fury onto him. Johnny who clearly admires you and trusts you with his feelings and asks for advice, and you deliberately pick the one that’ll HUMILIATE HIM and irritate Yumi. And at that point I realized no, this is just a part of you. For all my pained grimaces, I can at least comprehend why you would feel threatened by William—he’s older, taller, more skilled, and better looking. But HERE, you go out of your way to try and hurt a little kid who has a little kid crush and probably not a single chance with Yumi, just because YOU can’t stand the idea of anyone with a Y-chromosome looking at her. Hell, I’m surprised you’re alright with her talking to Odd or Jeremie at this point. And need I remind you Yumi has asked to be just friends because you need to focus on fighting XANA? Yet she still admitted the feelings were there. She turned you down, but in a way that leaves open the chance for more in the future, and yet you act both bitter about her rejection and entitled to her affections. You stalk her when she hangs out with William, you drive away any guy who blinks in her direction, you refuse to communicate, and you enact horrible jealousy gambits that leave her confused and hurt. Yumi is just as guilty of you at shying away from confessing for three seasons, but YOU, Ulrich Stern, are the source of every major problem in your relationship. ...To say nothing of how your dumb little competition with Odd distracted you both from the mission, allowing XANA to possess Aelita and destroy the desert sector, removing one more tool in your ability to fight him. AND YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM IT. By the end of the episode you are still trying to keep score and compete. It’s irritating from Odd too, but Odd didn’t pull the other crap you did this episode.

Here's some scenes from Genies in Lyoko. After they were virtualized into Lyoko, the genie team was ready to save the Lyoko Warriors. First they arrived in the ice sector, where they were virtualized. They had to save Ulrich from some Krabs. After that, they went through a way tower to get to the desert sector to rescue Odd from some Kankrelats. Then, they went through another way tower to get to the mountain sector to rescue Yumi from some Hornets. Then Jeremy typed in the code Scipio to make the transport orb appear and take them to Sector 5 to rescue Aelita from some Creepers. After that, they left Sector 5 to go to the forest sector to rescue William and deactivate the activated tower, but there were some Tarantulas in the way of the path. Will they beat them?

*Coco’s data showed he was something far more greater now. A true monster with the ability to change minor things around him. He drew out his sword and claw looked at the ready.* Coco: Ya want my head? *He chuckled with a dark way.* come and take it!

*He charged forward for the small ones first ones on the ground. He guessed they are the weakest and sent out a long arcing slash. Such a slash was powerful alright and looked to be in a better form then Ulrich Stern’s attack. He looked to be trained in sword combat. He slashed down all around him and roared upward and mouth mask opened what released a blaze of fire like a dragon’s breath.* Coco: Oh, you are unlucky that I a lot of pent up hatred!

*Coco was has been leaping around world after world escaping form this Odd hunter for so long. He made one more jump and ended up in so odd lab. To the artificial program, XANA, he had a odd force of piwr around him, something worthy of taking. He was panting and looked to be weak. He was dressed in a red flannel shirt, a brown duster coat that seemed a bit big on him, jeans, and wore wooden sandals. His skin was brown, tanned bit, white hair that was shaggy, and mismatch eyes of green and inidgo purple.*

*Had had a sword hidden under his coat behind his back and looked to be a tired. He was looking around the computer room with a weak gaze.* Coco: Where did I land?
