Hmm… now that would be the most emotion of one not a used to one by Souji -- and how jumpy and flustered he seems… or so his looks gave that hint and voice still. "Are you ready now?" Having already fully reload his guns and weapons all good and ready. Sure they're safe still for now, but they really should head back and this area is still near where it can be dangerous. It might not be much, but maybe that simple bracelet would be of some help for the other.
He blinked. "E-eh?? Yeah... I'm ready let's head further out... they should've been here already I thought... Ne, Emi where is the extraction team?"
"Looking it up right now, looks like they've been diverted 15 miles to the west... it should be easy to get to from where you are... you'd think they'd let us know first what the hell's going on over there?"
He rolled his eyes, jumping in and starting the car again. "Alright... we're on our way, no blowing anything up before we get there, dammit..." He grimaced.
"$100 says they didn't think we'd make it," he grumbled to Leon as they made their way. "I'm gonna skin someone."

Creative collaboration with machines is a topic that intrigues me, as a fashion designer in search for new creative expressions inspired by musings on the digital-analogue dichotomy.
Vanessa Chang is a senior lecturer in Visual and Critical Studies at California College of the Arts , as well as a lead curator with CODEAME Art + Tech. She has written for journals such as Wired, Slate and Journal of Visual Culture. Chang provides an overview and insight into the discourse on Artificial Intelligence, technology in general as it relates to the creative arts. Citing a recent art auction claiming pure AI authorship, sold at staggering figures, Chang points to the misleading press and publicity over the extent of human input, to the extent that human labour is completely discounted for a gimmicky commercial intent, that sadly consumers are prepared to swallow. The work was based on years of coding work placed on OpenSource, by a 19-year old artist and programmer Robbie Barrat, and there was an outcry from the AI community over the incorrect assertion that a machine had been the sole author of the artwork. Here Chang raises an important observation of the intrigue man has had over the machine and its ability to be creative, an action we assume to be the sole domain of human intelligence, of individual free will.
Taking a historical perspective, Chang familiarizes us with multiple occasions where man has expressed this mixed fascination, belief and fear. When photography began, the same narrative arose where it was feared humans would be overtaken by the machine and the photographic artwork was inauthentic. Chang asserts perceptively that in fact what was happening at the time was a complex system of interplay between human and mechanical actors, and yet in the same way the “fake news” story of human absence is as prevalent now as it was back then.
Chang continues to examine the idea of automated art in music history, with 20th Century ragtime pianos, where the performances of famous players were programmed into mechanized pianos that could play without the humans themselves being present. Chang further cites criticism of the day that questioned the ability of mechanized parts to substitute the human soul.
Chang elucidates the kinds of thinking and discourse around technology and human creativity, breaking the black and white dichotomy and offering us a new nuanced view of how technology can not only reflect the mark of human creativity in its invention, but its powers and capabilities can work in tandem with humans within the artistic or design process,
Considering the narrative of omnipotent AI still persists to this day, articles like these are important to highlight the real human creative ingenuity and skill behind so-called machine works, and the “slowness” of processes sing technology, that there is craftsmanship involved. 
In terms of a narrative for my own fashion practice, and as an aspiration, being open to creative potential with machines is important, as they can show us new ways of interacting and seeing, but there is a limit in that the human needs to be recognizable and present. An automated piano without a player, or a robot which has memorized a limited repertoire of human movements, no matter how spontaneous they were at the time, even if the movements are put through new algorithms for new generative art, the resulting artefacts are limited in their ability to convey true human depth of emotional engagement in the moment, and thus out ability to connect to the work is hampered. 
As a creator, it almost goes without saying that my own emotional engagement within the design process itself is necessary for the work to be meaningful. Whether that includes machine/digital technology a good product must make a lasting, meaningful connection. It is the measure of human input, through technology than holds value. After all we’re only human.
