—> SHIP REQUESTS…
—> WHAT TO INCLUDE…
Gender preference for your ship.
The fandom you’d like a ship for.
A bit about yourself - personality, hobbies and interests especially.
Physical appearance isn’t necessary, but feel free to mention height/unique features if you feel it’s relevant!
Regular writing rules apply - please try not to mention anything in your request that doesn’t adhere to these.
—> RULES…
Please refrain from mentioning anything triggering/sensitive in your requests. These will not be responded to out of consideration for my followers.
Try not to make it super vague or super detailed. If you just go with the pointers here, you should be fine!
If you request a fandom from my ‘platonic only’ section, the ship will be written platonically.
—> EXAMPLE…
Request: Hi! I’d like to request a Ted Lasso ship. I’m pretty quiet and shy but can be very talkative when I’m comfortable around someone. I love to visit museums and spend time reading in cafes, and much prefer a quiet night in over a night on the town. I love History and am currently studying it. I’m pretty short and I like to think that I have really pretty eyes :) I have no gender preference!
Response: I ship you with Sam Obisanya!
Sam is more than happy to spend a quiet night in with you, though he does love dragging you to the silent discos some museums do.
He’s so patient when you’re shy at first and is honestly slightly the same. When you both open up, you can happily talk about anything for hours to each other.
He loves to listen to you ramble about your studies and finds it so cool that you know so much.
Sam is definitely the type to ask you about everything when you go on museum dates. He teases you with the classic ‘rubbish historian’ jest when you say you don’t know.
Overall, he is just so lovely and patient with you.

“C’mon babes, it’ll be fun!” Keeley said, grinning at you.
“Besides, Colin will be there.” Rebecca added, smirking at you, as she put her feet up onto her lounge.
Keeley grinned. “Karaoke is the best place for budding romances.”
You sighed. “Fine, but there’s no way I’m singing.”
Keeley squealed, grinning at you. “If you need help choosing what to wear, let me know.”
You snorted. “Yeah right.”
You worked as an assistant for Keeley at AFC Richmond, and she and Rebecca loved to rope you into their outrageous plots to get you and Colin Hughes, - who you may or not have a small crush on - together.

You laughed as Isaac finished his attempt at singing Whitney Houston.
“Ay, Colin bruv, you should sing next.” He said, grinning at the Welsh boy.
“You should too, y/n!” Keeley said, winking at you.
You frowned, “Oh no way in hell am i - ”
Rebecca grinned. “If you sing now, I’ll do it next.”
You grumbled, but got into the stage.
“Do you have a song you want to do y/n?” Colin said, looking at you.
You thought for a moment. “Uhh… oh I know!”
Quickly, you put on the song, and began singing.
"𝘪'𝘮 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦"

You blushed, and started dancing, pulling him with you.

Together, you sang.

Together, you danced.

When you first heard the news, you couldn’t believe it. You couldn’t believe that they could do such a thing. Not to the team, not to you. That was the reason you were stomping up the stair, the clinking of your heels echoing against the walls, as you reached Rebecca’s office.
You didn’t knock, you didn’t wait for them to welcome you in. They knew you were coming. Especially after the email they had sent out. The email had been sent only to the “necessary” people that needed to be involved, and you, being the social media manager for the club, received it. It was probably a way for them to warn you to start preparing the content for the announcement. But you obviously didn’t take it well. They knew about your history, they knew how things had gone down. They had to be expecting you.
“How could you?” Your loud, clear voice, full of anger and disappointment filled the room.
“Good morning, Y/N!” Ted’s cheerful greeting made you want to scream. “To what do we owe the pleasure?” The sarcasm was obvious.
“How could you? After what he did to the team? After what he said about you?” Your tone was loud, so much so that you were sure people from downstairs could clearly hear every single one of your words. “How could you?” You choked on your last words, and as you finally met Rebecca’s gaze, you could feel the familiar sting of the tears that threatened to fall, spill, pour.
The woman sighed, getting up from her chair to make her way around the big desk. “Listen, love, he’s a great player. When Ted told me about their talk, I knew we had to get him back.” She explained, walking over to her. “We cannot let our feelings get in the way of the team’s success.”
You shook your head, taking a step back. “I never thought you would become this cynical.”
“I’m not cynical, just rational.”
“It’s all the same thing. He’s a prick. And pricks don’t change.” You were furious. “And it’s not just my feelings, but the team’s feelings. But you obviously don’t remember how he used to treat everyone.” You lingered on that last word, looking briefly at each of them, before turning around and making your way out of the office and down the stairs. “No one understands.” You whisper, your fists so tight you started to feel that burning sensation of your nails leaving marks on your palms.
Keeping your head low, trying to hide the tears streaming down your face, you made your way to the changing room. You knew you couldn’t say anything to any of the boys yet, but still, you needed some comfort. You needed Sam.
You quickly reached the locker room and knocked, waiting for them to give you a sign to let you know you could come in. And, as soon as you opened the door, you ran straight to Sam, immediately burying your face in his chest.
“Hey, Y/N/N. What is going on?” His thick Nigerian accent immediately bringing comfort to you. “Did something happen?” He asked as he tried to pull away slightly, trying to understand what was happening.
“Just… hug me… please.” You pled, the voice muffled by his jersey. And he did. He wrapped his arms around you, softly placing a kiss on top of your head, before laying his chin in the same spot. You’re immediately comforted by the warmth of your best friend’s embrace. However, you didn’t fail to notice how the familiar chatter of the changing room had started to slowly simmer down until it ultimately came to a halt. A sense of pain and anxiety washed over you at once, and your head started again to fill with the same questions you had asked Rebecca and Ted. Why? Why him? Why now? How could they?
But soon, your stream of thoughts was interrupted by Isaac’s voice. “Who do we have to kill?” You didn’t need to raise your head from Sam’s chest to know that the feeling was shared by most if not all the team’s players.
“No one. Yet.” You mumbled, sniffling. “It’s complicated.” You added as you finally pulled away from Sam, yet still remaining extremely close to him, as if his presence was the only thing keeping you sane and calm at that moment.
“When the moment comes, just call, okay?” You gave a quick nod to the team captain, accompanied by a shy smile. To any casual passer-by, the comment may have seemed sarcastic, the usual banter between friends that care about each other. But the team knew that that was not sarcastic at all and that Isaac would indeed, without a shadow of a doubt, kill someone for you.
You couldn’t exactly remember when, but somewhere down the line, the team had become your chosen family. However, you could clearly remember how that process had started.
You had started working for AFC Richmond around the same time that Ted and Coach Beard did. You didn’t care much for football or sports in general, but you had just recently graduated from university and had found this work through Keeley. You and her had met at your cousin’s going away party a few years before, when he had decided to move to Greece to become an archaeologist. You had immediately bonded over who can even remember what, and remained close friends ever since. So, when she heard that the position had just opened up, she immediately sent your CV to Rebecca, without warning you first. You found out about the job only when you received a call from a certain Mr Higgins, who told you that they had read your curriculum and found it really interesting. And so, you ended up moving to Richmond-upon-Thames and started working for the club.
It didn’t take you long to get to know the team and become friends with them. Obviously, you had your prejudices against footballers, who you thought were self-centred egomaniacs – and you weren’t completely wrong about that – but, to your surprise, most of them turned out to be great people. You quickly became very close with Sam; Roy tolerated you; Isaac and Colin were always kind to you. Even Jamie Tartt, the prick of the team, would usually drop his dickhead persona when he was with you. And that was how you two ended up together. For the first month or so, you would notice his constant flirting, but you never really gave it too much thought. You had read about him in the tabloids, and you knew how he was famous for having a different girl every week. You weren’t that oblivious, you knew he was fit. But, every time he would flirt with you, you would play along for a while, before brushing it off and going back to your business. I’m just his latest challenge, he will move on sooner or later, you thought. Until, roughly a month and a half after you had started working there: he started waiting for you outside the clubhouse, asking you if you needed a ride home. Which then turned into him asking you to grab a coffee with him one day before practice. Then it was dinners. Movie nights at his place. Stolen glances in the hallways of the clubhouse. Sneaking in the boot room to secretly make out. And sooner than you could realise, you were sleeping over at his place most of the time.
You asked him to keep things private for a while. It wasn’t that you were ashamed of him. You just needed to be sure about him. So, you kept sneaking around. Avoiding each other as much as possible, too worried that the team might just figure it out. Let me show you off, Jamie would whisper into your ear, in-between wet kisses, as he stood behind you in the kitchen in the morning, wrapping his arms around your waists. Let me take you out to a restaurant, on a proper date, he insisted. But you kept declining his offers. Not yet, baby, you would reply, as you slowly melted under his touch, I need a little more time, you said as you turned around in his arms. And the conversation would die there, with Jamie immediately picking you up and placing you on top of the kitchen counter, his lips trailing their way down your neck, your collarbone, your chest, down, down, until your vision turned hazy and you had to grip onto the marble countertop with all the strength you had in your body, too afraid you might fall off of it, as his lips met finally met your core.
You were able to keep your relationship private longer than you had expected. It was after almost 4 weeks that Nate eventually walked in on you two in the boot room. You weren’t doing anything too private, you were merely making out. But Nate being Nate, froze on his feet as he saw you two holding onto each other, too stunned to move. I was… I needed to… sorry… I didn’t…. As usual, he was too embarrassed to form a complete sentence, so he simply left the room. You two looked at each other and knew that it was only a matter of time before your secret would be out. And you were right. The secret didn’t last the entire day, and when it was time to go home after practice, you were met by a horde of football players, asking you when it had started, how long had that been going on, if you two were official, and so on.
Somehow, but still not completely unexpectedly, the news reached the press in less than a day. The next morning, as you lied in bed with Jamie’s head on your chest, you were woken up by the constant buzzing of your phone. Check this article from The Sun, said a message from your high school friend, with a link attached to it. Is it true? Asked your mother. Congratulations! read the message from your aunt from whom you hadn’t heard in ages. And the messages kept coming. Yes, it was true. You were now in a relationship. Yes, your boyfriend was a famous footballer. Yes, you knew about his fame. Still, you didn’t care. Because, when Jamie was with you, he wasn’t Jamie Tartt, star striker for AFC Richmond, but just Jamie. And you loved just Jamie. He was sweet, he was passionate, he was kind, he always made sure you were feeling well, he brought you flowers once a week, he left some coffee for you in the pot in the mornings, he always made sure you were sexually satisfied – something he was really proud of.
Sadly, you hadn’t realised that, with going public, also came the hate from his fans, who thought that you would be too distracting for their beloved favourite player, and from the girls, the actresses, the top models, the reality tv stars, who had hoped to one day end up with him and whose dream you had shattered overnight. You pulled through it, and that was also thanks to Jamie, who never missed the chance to remind you how much he loved you and cared for you.
However, two months after going public, things started to change. You couldn’t understand why if it was something that you had done or said, but he started to become distant, cold. He would invite you less and less over to his place, and when he did, it was mainly to have sex, to ‘release the tension from practice’. And whenever the team lost, the sex would be rough. He was always on his phone, texting, dming, emailing. A part of you knew it was girls he was talking to, but you couldn’t bring yourself to confront him about it, so you just said nothing and held on. He soon stopped asking you how you were, telling you how much he loved you. You tried asking him what was going on, but he would always deny everything, saying that you were imagining things, that you were just paranoid, and that everything was fine. Fine. Oh, how you came to hate that word. You asked him how he was. Fine. You asked him if he wanted to spend the night together. Fine. You asked him if he wanted to drive to the clubhouse together. Fine. Fine. Fine. Fine. You hated fine. In Jamie’s language, fine meant if you really have to, or I would rather you left me alone, or I don’t really care. You hated it. And you hated what your relationship had become. But still, something stopped you from leaving him, maybe the hope that soon things would go back to normal, that soon he would go back to being just Jamie.
But that never happened.
And things only got worse when Ted decided to take him out during a match. You knew that Ted was doing it to teach him a lesson, and he was right to want to do so. But as you watched your boyfriend leave the pitch, you knew things would only get worse. So, you stopped constantly looking for him. You stopped texting him every day. You only met when he asked you.
It was in that period that you grew closer to Sam. You could distinctly remember the day he walked into your office to ask you for a few suggestions on how to make his Instagram page more appealing. Instead walked in on you sitting on the floor, with your back against the wall and your hands in your hair. You didn’t even have the strength to pretend things were okay, so you simply looked up, black lines scarring your cheeks, and met his eyes. “Sorry, Sam, it’s… not a great moment.” You struggled to get the words out.
But Sam didn’t say anything. Instead, he closed the door behind him, made his way across the room and took a seat on the floor next to you. “Is it Jamie?” He asked with his thick Nigerian accent that you would grow to love and even find familiar. You nodded silently. “Do you want to talk about it?” You shook your head. “Do we just sit in silence?” A nod. A beat. Then your head slowly fell to the side, until it found its resting place on his shoulder.
You don’t exactly know how long you stayed there, on the floor, in silence. It could have been a few minutes or entire hours. In either case, Sam stayed there, and didn’t leave your side. He never once took out his phone to check his messages, even though you could feel it buzzing in his pocket. He only changed position once, to move his arm and wrap it around your shoulders. That was the first time you had spent that much time in silence with someone without feeling the need to fill it with superficial chatter.
From that day forward, you and Sam were inseparable. There was something about him that simply brought you comfort, a comfort that not even Jamie had been able to give you. Whenever you weren’t sleeping over at Jamie’s, he would come to pick you up and drive you to work. He would drive you home in the evenings, making sure you were all the way inside your house, before sprinting off the road to go home himself. You would start having lunch together, usually joined by some of the other guys – in all of this, most of the time Jamie was nowhere to be found. And whenever your boyfriend acted like a dick with you in front of everyone, he would speak up. Are you his boyfriend now, Sammy? Jamie would mock him, using your nickname for him. I don’t think so. She’s me girl, so I’ll talk to her how I want, a’ight? He would puff out his chest, trying to look bigger and intimidating.
That evening, after practice was over, Jamie sprinted off to who knows where or to who knows who, leaving you there, alone. And, as per usual, Sam would come to the rescue, offering you a lift home.
“Why are you still with him?” Sam asked you as he stopped in front of your house. “You deserve better, not an asshole like him.”
You shook your head. “He’s not like that when it’s just the two of us.” You would always find a way to make excuses for him.
“I don’t care how he is when he’s alone with you, Y/N! If he really loves you, he should treat you well in public as well!” You had never really heard Sam raising his voice before, and it would have been a lie if you had said that you were not intimidated. But, despite everything, you could feel the care and preoccupation in his voice. “You deserve someone that truly cares for you, and that isn’t afraid to show it!” You knew he was right. Yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to say something, to break up with him.
But you never had to.
It was maybe a week after your discussion with Sam when you showed up unannounced at his place. It was cold outside, and you were only wearing a thick jumper. You stood there, in front of his door for at least three whole minutes, before finally knocking on his door. You knocked instead of ringing the bell so that if he was already asleep, you wouldn’t wake him. But he had heard it, and less than 10 seconds later, he was opening the door.
“Y/N, what are you-” He didn’t even finish his question. He took one look at you and knew exactly what had happened. He took your hand gently in his, and immediately pulled you inside, guiding you to the living room. “Wait here a moment.” He said, making you seat on the couch, before running off in search of a blanket. “Okay, wrap yourself in this while I put the kettle on.” He opened the blanket and put it around your shoulders.
“Stay here, please.” You whispered, grabbing him by the wrist before he could move away again.
“But you’re shivering.”
“Just… please.”
As soon as he met your eyes once again, he felt his heart drop to his stomach. He had seen you in distress before, he had comforted you multiple times after your fights with Jamie. But this time he didn’t even need for you to tell him what had happened, he already knew. He took a seat next to you, fixing the blanket so that it was properly covering your entire body, before pulling you to his chest.
“He said that I was too much work.” The words left your mouth watery. “That I asked too much of him. And that, since he was going back to Man City, it was better to call it quits.” You whispered. You could feel Sam’s body tense, the air blowing through his nose. You knew he wanted to say a lot of things. He wanted to tell you that he was a dickhead, that he never realised what he had in front of him, that he had just lost the best woman he could ever find, that he was a moron, a jerk, an idiot, a fool. But he didn’t. He remained silent. And he did the best he could to comfort you. He stroke your hair and your back, he rocked you and hummed to you, until you fell asleep.
After that night, it didn’t take long for the rest of the team to find out what had happened, and how it had happened. Every single one of the boys sent you a text, saying, each in their own way, that they were sorry, that Jamie was a dick, and that they were there for you if you needed them. And you were glad to know so many people cared for you, people that up until a few months ago didn’t even know you and that you would have never expected in your life to end up being friends with. They all stopped and hugged you when they met you in the corridor for the first time after it had happened. But some of them surprised you.
You hadn’t been able to sleep for the last few nights, which was made obvious to everyone by the way you dragged your feet against the floor whenever you walked around the clubhouse, your legs too heavy for your exhausted body to properly move. You had also stopped taking care of yourself. Yes, you showered and brushed your teeth because you hated not being presentable for work. But you had stopped brushing your hair every morning and every night, like your grandmother had thought you when you were little. And you had stopped wearing make-up. Not that you would normally put on a full face every day, but you stopped using mascara because it made your eyes burn whenever you cried, and the light concealer you used under your eyes to make yourself look fresher, more awake. And now your puffy red eyes and dark circles were there, on display, for everyone to see, a reminder of how you were feeling.
That morning you had opted for a very comfortable pair of sweatpants and a warm AFC Richmond hoodie. Using supportiveness as a way to hide your depression. Smart, you thought. Sad. You were sitting in your office, alone, working on the new social media campaign, when suddenly you heard someone knock on your door. “Come in.” You said flatly. As the door opened, you looked up from your laptop, only to see Sam walk in, followed by Isaac, Colin and Dani. “How can I help you, boys?” You forced a smile on your face.
“Want to watch a movie with us tonight?” Asked Isaac, taking the lead. You looked at the quartet in front of you, unsure of what to say. “We can watch whatever sad movie you prefer, and Dani can bring some Mezcal.”
“Boys, I-” You started, but you were instantly cut off.
“Uh-uh!” The Welsh stepped forward. “We don’t want to hear any I’d rather be alone or I don’t want to be a bother bullshit, okay? We want to do this.”
“Yes, we only asked to be nice, but if you say no, we will just kidnap you and force you to do it.” Said Sam, a soft, warm smile on his face, as he leaned over your desk.
“Por favor, Y/N” Dani pled, showing you his big, brown puppy eyes.
“Fine!” You gave in. “On one condition: we order Chinese.”
They all look at each other, before bursting out laughing.
A/N: if you read all the way through, thank you ! feel free to leave a feedback/comment. i would love to know what you think about it and if you would be interested in reading more of this story. let me know if you would like to be put in a taglist for this fic! love you <3

okay just imagine being friends with colin and jamie being like slightly jealous
okay so i’m thinking about doing like a psych major!reader who shadows Dr Sharon at the football club for experience and ends up having a thing with Jamie... like Jamie asks for her to tutor him on psych knowledge and being a better person and ofc they lowkey fall for each other but don’t know it...
ANYWAYS AROUND THAT PLOT LINE... the reader and Colin end up as bffs (lowkey spoilers for Colin’s info in s3?).. also my bestie is @sokkigarden and i love and appreciate her support
okay, so reader is shadowing Dr Sharon and Colin is so nice that he consents to her sitting in on the session since Dani was a bit too traumatised to have any silent observers
she doesn’t speak and tries not to make too much eye contact but when they do lock eyes, she gives him a soft smile, and he returns it
after the session, now only 3 people know Colin’s gay... him, her, and Dr Sharon. when she catches his eye at the end of the session, she does a little lock and key motion to her lips as if to say ‘my lips are sealed, promise’ with a soft smile, and he smiles and nods
the reader is usually extroverted and chatty but remains professional - not really interacting with the boys unless necessary (obvi Ted won’t have any of it, but that’s a diff point) so Colin isn’t too fussed about her...plus, she seems genuinely nice
in the next couple of weeks, the reader bumps into Colin in the hallway and goes, “oh!! Colin, I was out on the weekend and saw this and thought of you, so um, here :))” and nervously passes him a small pocketbook of affirmations since Dr Sharon instructed him to reaffirm “I am a strong and capable man”
he grins and thanks her, and then BOOM, they’re now good friends. he offers to drop her home when her Uber cancels, and they blast Taylor Swift and rap to Drake
now fast forward a while when Jamie asks the reader to tutor him in psych/therapy, and it is a funny exchange:
Jamie: you’re uh, good at this psych shit huh?
Reader: uhh, you mean the 4+ years I’ve dedicated to this degree? Yea, I kinda hope I’m good at this psych shit
Jamie: can you help me do better at therapy?
Reader: um,, therapy is more of a personal thing.. you kinda do better yourself
Jamie: oh, then what do you do :/
Reader: -_-
Jamie:  no no, I didn't mean it like that, fuck sorry
Reader: I can tell you about tools and theories that can HELP YOU help yourself
Jamie: yea yea.. that. let's do that, I want that
Reader: this isn't a drive thru, Tartt, you can't just ask like it's a dollar menu
anyways,, she agrees bc experience yea totally it’s the resume experience and not cause he has a cute thinking face and emotional intelligence is hot or anything like that
so they’re like a month in with this whole ‘tutoring’ thing and she’s at his place and he notices a childish bracelet on her wrist.. he seems to notice a lot about her but he tells himself it’s cause he’s getting more self-awareness (lmao dumbass, SELF-awareness has nothing to do with HER hair, eyes, and new accessories but sure)
okay the next day in the locker room, he sees Colin w the same bracelet??? so he asks and Colin’s all like, “it’s a friendship bracelet, boyo!” and Jamie just kinda nods not replying before they head out onto the pitch
next time he and the reader are tutoring he asks why she and Colin are wearing the same bracelet thingy...she tells him it’s a friendship thingy and she made it for the both of them.... Jamie just kinda stares and goes ‘where’s mine.’
she blinks at him and tilts her head, “are we friends?” and his mouth falls open “we’re fuckin not???” he questions, slightly offended. and she’s all like “no no, ofc we are... but maybe just not friendship bracelet level friends”
Jamie fights back a pout, but there’s a crease in the middle of his brows and she wants to lean forward to flatten it with her thumb but fights the urge
there’s silence for a moment...
“when you upgradin meh?”

an: HELLOOOOOO!!! im excited to write this, I'm so late to the Ted Lasso wagon, but here I am. I got the idea for this story when I was sat on my couch looking through Pinterest and then I made a board for it. This has also taken me a few days to crank out because I've second guessed the plot a couple of times but anyway, I'm watching Cody and Noel's Love Island series and its reminding me of that one episode in season 2. LMAO, enjoy <3!!!!
┊ ┊ ┊ ┊
Breathing in deeply, you closed your notebook. Looking up at your professor, you gently rapped your manicured nails upon your desk and eagerly waited to see which football club you were going to be assigned to. The hope in your chest wanted to get your hometown's very own club, having a plausible excuse to visit your home, without your parents getting under your skin..
"Y/N L/N," Professor Loughty called out your name, you quickly stood from your desk and grabbed your belongings. "Yes, sir?" you asked, an eager glimmer in your eyes. "you're gonna be in charge of AFC Richmond, I've emailed Miss Welton and have gotten the approval for you to leave right after I dismiss you, there should be a cab right outside for you. you're going to have to find which one is yours."
With a solemn nod, you breathed in, "is there any way that I could have Manchester City, perchance?" all Professor Loughty replied with a shake of his head, "sorry, Miss L/N, all final decisions have been made."
"Alright, thank you, professor." you nodded again.
"You are dismissed."
Making your way out of the classroom, you sighed disappointedly. All you really wanted was to spend time with your sister, Libby. Your built-in best friend, the person who you call often to just ramble, vent, or see how life on the other side is.
A chime of your phone pulled you out of your thoughts.
any updates?
Libby. So much for getting pulled out of your thoughts.
yeah, got Richmond :/ BUT I promise I'll make it up to you. I'll visit soon.
:( okayyy I love youu
"Y/N!" pocketing your phone, your attention was now averted from your patronising thoughts to that of your best friend. "Bee! Hey." you smiled and waited for your friend to fully approach you.
"Who'd ya end up gettin'?" the Irish girl asked in her usual chipper tone.
"Richmond, I wanted Man City."
She scrunched her nose. "Mmm, ain't that the team with that American coach?" Bee added with a raise of her eyebrows.
"Think so, so I guess it's not all bad.. could be interesting.." You spoke with a shrug which only earned you a light chuckle from the brunette. "Well, I'd certainly hope so. you have to be around him and the team for how long?"
"'Til the end of the semester."
Bee nodded at your reply. "sounds miserable."
"Oh, piss off. Don't you have to write an album by the end of the semester?" you clapped back, causing Bee to only snicker with a shrug.
"Yeah, but that's easy."
"Right, as if you haven't been in a song writing block for the past month or so." freezing in her place, Bee shook her head and glared playfully at the other.
"Exactly. Anyway, I've gotta get going, gotta get my essentials." you said to Bee, embracing her in a hug. "See y'tomorrow?"
The taller girl nodded and walked away with a wave. "See ya, nugget."
You shook her head, that nickname was never going to go away. Walking your merry way over to the line of cabs, you nervously talked to the first cabbie. "Um, which one is the one for Y/N L/N?" you asked and gripped your books close as if they were some sort of security blanket. The man behind the wheel grunted and pointed to the one behind him.
"Should be that one down there, yeah." he replied and basically shooed the girl away. with a breath, you found the cab you were supposedly assigned and sat in the backseat.
"Was ordered to head to your place, where to miss?" The driver asked with a kind smile in which you replied with your address.
┊ ┊ ┊ ┊
Unlocking your door quickly, you ran into your living room and grabbed your bag full of all the necessities you needed for the months ahead of you; camera, clip in microphones, etcetera. Richmond was only 30 minutes away, which, in hindsight, was better than having to travel four hours per weekend.
With no second thought, you grabbed your water bottle and slung your bag over your shoulder. Taking one last look around, you let out a satisfied huff and headed back outside to the car.
"Alright, Miss L/N, we're headed to Richmond. s'about a 30 minute drive from here." the cabbie, who you learned that his name was Franklin, 'frank for short,' is what he told you, said. He was a nice old man, probably in his early sixties. He was good at keeping up the small talk, asking you about what it is that you’re going to be doing with Richmond. Telling you that before he was a cab driver he was a guitarist in a band, a small one at that. You both bonded over music, You telling him that your best friend is a singer and that sometimes Bee'll get you together to mess around because you have been playing the guitar since you were little but never really pursued anything musically because it wasn't of interest.
Eventually Frank had pulled into Nelson Road, the drive seemed a lot faster than it really was because of how easy it was to talk.
"Thank you, Frank. I'll see you at 5, right?" You asked and the older man nodded. "Have a good rest of your day." You saluted him and walked up to the doors of the stadium. Slinging your bag over your shoulder, you entered the building.
Absentmindedly walking down the corridors, you looked around at the walls and folded your arms across your chest looking at the trophy wall; all the history and old photos of Richmond littered within it.
"Excuse me?" a voice spoke from behind you, startling you slightly. You were met with a grin from a lanky looking boy. "Are you lost?" he asked and you only shrugged.
"Guess you could say that." you chuckled awkwardly and lifted your shoulders. "Um, I'm looking for Miss Welton's office. Got lost in thought though."
"Ohhhh, are you Y/N L/N?" the boy asked with a head tilt. In which you responded with a nod. "I can show ya where to go, follow me." he moved slightly before the other nodded and followed behind him.
"Are you the.." you started, "kit... man?" knitting your eyebrows together and stuffing your hands into your jacket's pockets.
"Yeah, I am." he nodded and grinned and stopped at the door to Rebecca's office. "Well, this is it. I'm Will by the way." he said and stuck out his hand for you to shake. You took his hand thankfully.
"Thank you, Will. It was nice to meet you. I'll see you around, yeah?" You waved him goodbye and gently knocked on the slightly open door.
"Come in," a voice shouted, the nerves finally kicking in. Pushing the door open, you were greeted with a warm smile from probably the most beautiful woman you had ever seen. "Hello."
"Errr, hi." you awkwardly smiled, "I'm--"
"Y/N, I've been expecting you." Miss Welton cut the other off, that smile that she held never fading. "Come, sit." she gestured to the chair opposite from her desk. You nodded and set your bag on the floor.
"Okay, um, hi." an awkward smile wavered over the girl's features. Rebecca leaned into her desk, automatically drawn to the way you were acting; that shell she knew she needed to crack.
"Promise I don't bite." the blonde jested which caused you to somewhat get comfortable. "Anyway, we're excited to have you. the boys have been raving about having a cinematographer here to film their every move."
"Thank you for the opportunity, Miss Welton."
"Call me Rebecca."
"Okay.. thank you for the opportunity, Rebecca." you corrected yourself which earned an approving nod and smile from the other. "I'll be here every other day after the school day, during the weekends, and during every game. Even travelling ones, I got the okay from my professors when we learned that this assignment existed."
Rebecca nodded, knowing said information but not wanting to interrupt the girl. "You don't have to start right away, if you want I can introduce you to the boys and everyone else."
With a nod, you pushed herself up off the chair and reached for your bag. "you can leave that in here, we’ll be coming back in here to discuss everything needed.”
┊ ┊ ┊ ┊
"This is where the boys have physio, you shouldn't have to come here." The pair chuckled and then Rebecca stopped by a blue door where chatter could be heard inside. "and this is the kit room, where the boys change and where the coaches offices are."
“It smells like sweaty ass in here, just warning you.” the blonde jested, causing you to scrunch her nose. "Shall we?" she asked and you nodded. With a gentle knock on the door Rebecca peeked in. "Everyone decent?" she asked, to which all the boys replied in unison with a 'yes'. smiling contently, the taller lady pushed the door open and pushed you in front of her.
"OI." she announced, "everyone this is, Y/N L/N, our cinematographer from the University of London." everyone cheered happily, most just yelling what sounded like mixes of 'LETS GOOOO', 'FUCK YEAH', and 'WICKED'.
At the sound of a familiar name being called, Jamie looked up and went wide eyed. Holy fuck.
Quickly standing up from where he was sitting, you both made eye contact. Brows knitted together, your eyes looked above his head, the words, ‘TARTT’ in big bold letters made you realise that your suspicions were correct. “No way, Jamie?” you asked and breathed out.
The entirety of the room suddenly went quiet, or so it seemed. You apprehensively walked toward him, Rebecca watching you with a look of confusion. Maybe you were just a fan that he’s seen from time to time? No, that wasn’t the case and she knew it the moment you guys both stared at each other with some form of intensity from you and an apologetic look from him. You looked like you wanted to walk over to him and smack him across his face and he looked like he wanted to wrap his arms around you and tell you how sorry he was.
“I–” Jamie started and made his way closer to you, you dryly chuckled.
“No, I just got here, we can talk later.”
He nodded at your cross response and backed away. You introduced yourself and learned everyone’s names, the coaches were in their office in some sort of meeting and Rebecca told you that you’d be able to meet them later.
┊ ┊ ┊ ┊
Back up in Rebecca’s office, you both went over how you were planning on filming. Going over recording some of the boys separately in their element, interviews, etcetera. You also learned that Rebecca was really easy to talk to, like a best friend.
“Alright, Y/N, I must ask,” Rebecca started, handing you a cup of tea. “Back in the locker room, what was that with you and Jamie?” taking the cup and bringing it to your lips, you sighed.
“We go way back, we met back in primary school and we were attached at the hip up until high school. There were moments when our close friends suspected we were a couple.” You trailed off, “but once we graduated everything just kind of.. Fell off, we both went our separate ways. I tried to get back into contact with him but he would say that he was busy or he’d just flat out ignore me.” you looked over at Rebecca to see her eyebrows raised.
“Sorry, that’s kinda personal innit? Haven’t known each other much.” you said and she just shrugged.
“It’s alright, we’re gonna be getting rather close these next few months, it's a good start for now.” she responded to you, the worry that was on your face was slowly replaced by a warm smile.
“Guess you’re right.”
“‘Course I am, Y/N. ‘Course I am.”
You chuckled and shook your head, taking another sip of your tea. “On another note, I’m quite excited for all of this. Richmond is already so .. nice. I felt welcome the moment I walked in.”
“It does that to you, wait until you meet Ted though, you’ll feel even more welcome.”
As if on cue, there was a gentle knock on the door followed by a man with a moustache walking inside with a beaming grin, “well, howdy y’all.” he greeted. You smiled up at him and stood from your seat, placing your halfway finished mug down on the coffee table.
“Y/N, this is Ted.” Rebecca said. You stuck your hand out for him to shake.
“Nice to meet you, Ted.” You said and he only beamed at you.
“Welcome to the family, Y/N/N.” he replied, your eyes went wide at the sudden nickname. “Its okay if I call you that right? Only seems right with your name.” He chuckled and you nodded.
“Only if I get to call you ‘Teddy’ or somethin’. What's Ted short for anyway?” You asked him, the shift in your demeanour from earlier was like you’ve been here for weeks. “Theodore.” Rebecca chimed in and you grinned over at her and crossed your arms over your torso. “Hmm, then ‘Theo’ will have to do.”
Ted, or Theo smiled from ear to ear. “Glad to hear it, I’ll see y’around.”
You waved the man goodbye and sighed happily. Rebecca stood up from her spot on the sofa and brushed her dress out. “Alright, so, now that we’ve gone over everything, is there anything that you need before you head out for the rest of the day?” she asked you and you shook your head to look down at your watch.
“Nah, I think I’m good.” You said and walked over to where your bag was. “Didn’t even need this today, came over prepared.” chuckling lightly, you leaned down to pick it up.
“Thank you again for being so warm and welcome,” you looked at Rebecca and held your hand out for her to shake it. She took your hand happily, “I’ll see you next week then, to start your work process?” she asked you and you nodded.
“Mhm, yep, and I’ll have everything we went over.” you smiled at her and then bid her farewell.
Walking out of her office and down the stairs you were met with a waiting Jamie, his phone in his hands in a way to distract him. When he heard your footsteps hitting the stairs, he pocketed his device and looked up at you.
“You waited for me.” you said with a raised brow and he nodded.
“Yeah..” he started and you stood in front of him. “I just wanted to .. dunno, apologise?”
“For what? Leaving me alone to think you forgot about me for six years? D’you think I’m just gonna walk right into your arms and accept your apology?” you spat and he took it in. you looked like a wounded puppy and he just wanted to fling forward and hold you. To tell you that everything was gonna be alright and that he wouldn’t dream of doing that to you again.
“Right, right. Yeah, m’sorry ‘bout that.” he looked down at his trainers and nervously gripped his body bag’s strap. “D’ya think we could.. Dunno, go for a walk and talk ‘bout it all?” he asked you, a plea in his eyes.
“I can’t. I have to go back to London, my cabbie is waiting for me.” you replied and rocked on your heels.
“What about when you come back?”
“Dunno, I don’t think I wanna hear some bullshit excuse as to why you left me in the dust.”
“Please, Y/N.” he pleaded, “we don’t even have to talk for long. If you decide that you don’t want anything to do with me or listen then you can walk away.”
You sighed in defeat, “fine.”
He nodded, trying to hide the victorious smile on his lips but failing.
“Wipe that smug grin off your ugly mug before I do it for you.”
“Aye aye.” Jamie responded, that was the Y/N he knew all those years back, and you walked away with a sigh and a shake of your head.
God this was so fucking weird.
┊ ┊ ┊ ┊
Once the next week rolled around, you told Bee how you bumped into Jamie, whom you might’ve told her about once or twice.. Or a few times whilst drunk. Telling her stories about how you were, “sooooooo mad at him for ghosting me like that. I loved him ssooooo much and he goes and does that.”
At 10am, Frank pulled into the car park of Nelson Road and you bid him farewell when gathering your belongings. You walked inside, instantly greeted with that family-like haze. A smile wafted on your features, nodding in acknowledgement at whomever passed by.
“Good morning, Y/N/N!” Ted said when you walked by him on your way up to Rebecca’s office. “Mornin, Theo.” you smiled at him and gave him a high five.
The rest of the morning went pretty well – You and blondie, new nickname (Ted approved),  going over what you guys went over on your first day, you setting up everything you needed, using one of the meeting rooms as a place to have special interviews for the boys when the time came and making a makeshift desk of one of the tables for when you needed to edit or when you when you weren’t filming.
When lunch time approached, Rebecca asked if you wanted to join her, but you told her that you wanted to make sure that everything was working properly because once everyone was back from the lunch break you were going to record the first of many parts of the boys’ training. She gave you a thumbs up and you were on your merry way to set up a camera outside.
“Headed outside?” a familiar Mancunian accent asked you, you stopped in your tracks and turned toward the voice.
“Mhm, yep.” You said, your change in demeanour going from steadfast wanting to get the hell out.
“Need help?” he asked you, a pleading look in his eyes. You looked down at the gadgets you had in your hands. Setting said things up on your own would not be easy, especially when you don’t have a whole crew to help you with lighting and every other necessity that came with filming.
With a defeated sigh, there was really no point in doing it on your own when the other offered help, you looked at him. “That would.. Be nice,” you started, trailing off, “but aren’t you supposed to be at lunch with the guys or somethin’? Don’t wanna be a bother or anythin’, I’m sure I can manage on my own.”
“Nah, s’no problem. Promise.” he placed his hand on his chest, “Not really hungry anyhow.” he nodded and stepped in front of you to open the door out to the pitch.
“Thanks.” You said and smiled at him thankfully. He nodded and you looked around.
“Hmm, hey, Jamie?” you asked, and he turned to you with his eyebrows up. “Where d’ya reckon would be the best spot to film?”
He pointed to a spot beside where he said that Ted and Beard usually stand and watch, “You can practically see everything from here, but you might have to change directions of the camera every now and then.”
You shrugged and leaned down to unpack your best camera for the outdoors, “that’s fine, its my job anyway.” you set up your tripod and turned your camera on. Looking into the lens, you adjusted the lighting.
“So, Y/N..” Jamie said and stood in front of your camera with some sort of lopsided grin, “D’ya think we could do that talk right now?”
You looked up and huffed, “dunno, are you gonna get out of my way?” he shrugged and moved from the focus. “What is there to really talk about anyway? You ghosted me for years. You didn’t even wish me a happy birthday, or send christmas cards.” With one final twist of your lens you stepped away and looked at Jamie who scratched his neck.
“Yeah, don’t really have an excuse for that. Other than being a professional footballer ‘n all.”
“Yeah, but you still could’ve said something, that's not really a valid excuse.” you replied and gave him a stern look. “Remember what I said about bullshit excuses, Tartt?”
“Wait, no,” he looked at you with a panicked look. “There's really nothin’ that excuses me actions, but please know that I am sorry. I haven’t forgotten about you all these years, y’know.”
“Then why the fuck did you stay silent for so many years? I gave up trying to reach out to you after my twenty - first birthday. Tried seein’ if you wanted to come celebrate and maybe catch up and you NEVER responded.” you placed your hands on your hips and you could see the guilt written all over his face.
“Yeah.” you responded, “but I’m an adult and I ended up forgiving and forgetting until the universe decided to have us cross paths again.” you half jested, Jamie’s lips curling upward just a tinge. “How about I make you a deal?”
He quirked his brows up and you responded with a sigh. “I will forgive you.” you said and watched as his face changed from curious to excited. “If,” you paused, only egging him on, “you promise that it won't happen again, even after this project is done and over with.”
Looking at him expectedly, the brunet stepped forward and engulfed you in a bone crushing hug, the only kind he’d give you after something good happened or after you had a meltdown in front of him. “Cross me heart, Y/N.”
You smiled against his shoulder and hugged him back briefly, only to pull away and stick out your pinky. “Pinky promise me, James.” you said, the full name throwing him off slightly. He intertwined your fingers and you both leaned down to press kisses to your thumbs, sealing the deal.
“Pinky promise.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Being at Nelson Road stadium was strange. Well, you’ve been here before, but that was nearly two years ago right when you started dating Derek. He essentially banned you from ever seeing Richmond and Colin play as he was a part of West Ham. Any effort to defy his demands disguised as wishes were met with arguments and sometimes, bruises. Right. The purple marks on your wrist. Until now, they were hidden by the sleeves of your bodysuit. And as you looked in the bathroom mirror, wearing an extra pair of A.F.C Richmond sweats and your tank top, the bruises really stood out.
Just shake it off, hide it
You searched through your bag for hopefully an extra tube of concealer but came up short.
Shit
Taking a deep breath, you make your way towards the changing room. Before entering, you cross your arms, shoving your wrist between your arm and left side in an attempt to hide the marks. The player you recognized as Dani held the door open for you, letting you know Colin was being checked out by a physio. Deciding to wait for Colin there, you head into their sacred ground. The empty room was comforting, there was no one to hide anything from. You set your stuff down on an empty bench before sitting down, letting out a sigh.  You hold your bruised wrist gently, not hearing the soft footsteps approaching from the coach's office.
“You alright there love?”
You stand quickly and hide your hands behind your back. The swift movement caused your bag to fall to the ground, some of your belongings scattering out.
“Shit, sorry.”
The two of you clean the mess up before standing again. You try your hardest to not use your bruised hand and to your luck, he hasn’t noticed.
“Didn’t mean to scare you, just saw you staring off into space.”
You smile up at him.
“I’m Jamie.”
“(Y/N).”
And for a second, you forgot about your bruised wrist. So when Jamie offered his hand, you shook it. He caught your wince and went to apologize if he had squeezed too tightly (he hadn’t) when he noticed the blooming violet. You were about to pull your hand away when Jamie carefully took your hand in his and studied it.  He takes a quick glance at your face before looking back down at your hand.
“Who did this to you?”
“Oh I just fell-”
“You don’t get these kinds of bruises by falling. Who did this?”
You pull your hand out of Jamie’s and retract into yourself, not wanting to admit the wrongdoings you allowed to happen to you. Jamie, starting to put two and two together in his head, asked one more time.
“Darling, did he do this to you?”
With the way you slightly froze, Jamie felt his heart break a little for the girl he barely knew. You sit back down, pulling your knees up and resting your chin atop them. Jamie sighs, taking a seat right next to you. There’s a faraway look in your eye and it stays silent for a few minutes. He twiddles his thumbs and hunches forward.
“It’s not your fault.”
You spare a look out of the corner of your eye.
“It feels like it is, but it isn’t. You try your best, even when your brain keeps shitting on you over and over again.”
He tries to hide it, but you see him wipe what you assume to be a stray tear from his face. He stands up and holds his hand out to you.
“You just gotta get up and tell yourself you’re better than them. And looking where we’re standing right now, I think we’re doing alright.”
You laugh, carefully wiping at your own eyes, and allow him to pull you to your feet. The moment is cut short as both of you hear Colin making his way down the hall. You look at Jamie in panic before scrambling to look for a sweater or long-sleeve of any kind.
“He can’t know. Colin can’t know.”
“Darling, I think you need to take a breath.”
You grab Jamie’s arms and shake him slightly, repeating yourself. As Colin wishes whoever he was walking with a good night, Jamie hurriedly unzipped his jacket and handed it to you. Colin enters the room surprised to see you and Jamie alone, more so about you shrugging on a Richmond sweater that wasn’t his. His curiosity is cut short as you grab your bag and fuss over his well-being once again. Jamie turns to gather his own belongings but before he can, you wrap your arms around him whispering a soft thank you. He stutters out a response and watches you help Colin avoid stepping too hard on his wrapped ankle. In the hallway, Colin asks about what he walked into. All you respond with?
“Nothing just got an idea is all.”
~
Writing lyrics to a song is a beauty within itself, but imagining the life behind it was nothing short of magical. It was the one thing you had control over when you were with Derek. Creating these worlds and characters, big and small, was what you lived for. Your small audience from back then were in love with your ideas and the way you thought. The music videos you directed for “cardigan” and “willow” were loved and cherished by your fans. And now, it was time for something more.
So here you were pacing around Colin’s flat, humming a tune and muttering words to yourself. You huff and fall back onto the couch. You hear footsteps and the front door open. You peer over the couch to see some of the team file in dressed to the nines for a benefit happening in a few hours. Laying back onto the couch, you cover your face with your hands with a groan, writer's block settling in. You hear someone ask if you’re coming with them.
“Am I going where?”
“The benefit I was telling you about earlier? Before you started to pace like a mad woman thinking she was going to be caught for murder.”
“Ha ha, very funny Colin. No, I’m not going.”
The Richmond players groan and protest your statement. You argue about not being invited to which they respond that you could be Colin’s plus one. You say you have nothing to wear and not a second later one of them is calling Keeley up to bring some outfits. You stutter, trying to say how nearly impossible it would be to find a dress and shoes that would fit you and your taste. Colin takes the phone and gives Keeley notes on what to bring. You stare at the boys in disbelief as they stand proud of themselves.
“Unbelievable you lot are.”
When Keeley arrives, she drags you to the spare room you’re staying in and lays out the dresses she brought. As you push through trying on the outfits she brought, you both can see none of them fit your personality.
“Thanks for trying Keeley, but I don’t think any of these are going to work.”
“I was afraid that might happen. I have one last thing. You up for it?”
You answer with a “Why not”. At least Colin would know you tried. However, Keeley has different plans as she practically bounces back into the room with another dress bag. She excitedly hands it over to you and leaves the room. Opening the bag, you gasp at the garment and before you know it Keeley is squealing over you and brushing makeup onto your face and styling your hair. Upon looking in the mirror, you shower Keeley with compliments on the finished look but question if your outfit choice is appropriate to wear to a benefit meant to raise money for children’s hospitals. All you get from her is a “Don’t worry love, they eat this shit up. Just own it”.
Slipping on the black heels she left for you, you head back to the living room. The clicking of your heels quiets the conversation, but as soon as you step back into the living room you are met with stunned stares and slackened jaws.
“I fuckin knew it! God I love you and your legs.” Keeley goes on to rapidly explain that she absolutely could not picture you in any of the dresses she was looking through. You had to hand it to her though, because if there was anything to say about Keeley Jones, it was that she had taste and a magnificent understanding of everyone else’s. She had found this body suit with a bejeweled chainlink skirt. The jewels glittered in the light, your eyeshadow sparkling in the same color.
“Doesn’t she look fantastic?”
At Keeley’s question, the boys had straightened up and gave respectful compliments to deter from their previous stares. The only thing left to do was get into the limo and leave. Anxiety built on the way there. Sure you had done events such as these before, but you weren’t in the spotlight or hot water as much as you are now. You wouldn’t walk the red carpet for pictures half the time due to Derek’s insistence on “getting good photos for my portfolio”, whatever that meant. Reality hit as the car slowed to a stop. You hear shouts and orders as the boys slowly file out. Colin had a beaming smile, ready to spend the night partying with his lads but it slightly faded as he saw your panicked face. He slid his way along the seats until he sat right next to you.
“The last time I was at one of these, I was told I couldn’t be on the red carpet. Only people that mattered.”
Colin grimaced at the statement. “Well, I seem to remember a bunch of girls screaming and singing near the pitch for you. Crying even. You matter to a lot of people and if anyone tries to tell you any different, you have a team of Greyhounds ready to attack anyone who does.”
You let out a small laugh, not even bothering to correct Colin’s mistake about the dog breed. He held out his hand for you to help you out of the car. As soon as you stood up, you heard cheers from fans and shouting from photographers. Many asked for pictures of Colin and the both of you together until you neared where the rest of the Greyhounds waited for a group photo. Colin, having the beautiful face he has, is called back for more.
You hear a small voice call out a courtesy title followed by your last name. You turn to find a younger woman no older than twenty in the crowd of older men and women. You see the camera in her hands and step closer to her.
“What can I do for you sweetheart?”
“I’m sorry to bother you, but would you mind if I got a few photos of you? I haven’t...been able to get any.”
You look around and see how the other photographers push each other for a better view at the barrier. You smile at her before asking if she needs anything specific.
“Just be you!” You laugh at the statement and hear the camera shutter. As you pose and smile for her, you notice other photographers starting to notice her bright idea of photographing you. They start to clamber and gather, the lovely girl starting to get squished. You shout at them and instead of gaining their attention, you get Colin’s and the rest of the team. They start to gather around you, confused but ready to defend you. You steady the younger woman, both hands holding onto her arms. The sounds of camera firing fill the air as you reassure her, but you can still see uncertainty and panic in her eyes.
“Colin?” With one glance, he understands what you’re asking. Security opens the barrier to allow your photography acquaintance through.
“Let’s get you those pictures, yeah?”
~
And that’s how you find yourself sitting at a table three drinks deep with Colin, Will, and Dani. The three started to worship your kindness for the “smaller” people in a crowd and decided to immediately drink in celebration, and whatever they brought back to you was strong. Giggles emanated from your table as you all laughed at each other's stupid jokes.
“You used to make fun of my accent all the time! I bet you still do!”
“Did not Colin, you liar!” The three boys started chanting your name in an effort to get you to mock an accent. You rolled your eyes but stopped as they landed on Jamie Tartt. A waiter came by and dropped off the shots Dani had ordered for the four of you. You take it, shaking off the taste before imitating a Mancunian accent, a rather dramatic one at that.
“I’m the island's top scor-er, sexually. I’m not just a los-er, I’m the los-er.”
They lost their shit.
“Nah, no I’m just playing a game. Do you know what I mean, find the fittest girl there ‘ave sex in the toilet and ask ‘er to marry ‘er. Strat-e-gy.”
Will falls on the floor, Colin and Dani silently laugh and wheeze, and you snort at their reactions.
“What the fuck is going on ‘ere?”
The four of you look to see Jamie standing in confusion with a drink in his hand. You see the boy's eyes fall on you. With a straight face, you say, “It’s just poopeh.”
A chain reaction of laughing sets off, Jamie still standing in confusion. You open your eyes as you sense someone next to you. Jamie pulled up a chair between you and Colin. The air feels different, more electric now as he sits next to you. He takes a sip of what you assume to be whiskey on ice before pausing.
“Hold on, were you all makin fun of meh?”
Your three companions immediately point at you like schoolchildren. You try to sputter an excuse but Jamie turns to you with an offended look on his face. Your voice dies down as your eyes meet. You don’t know if it’s the lighting, your inebriated state, or just Jamie, but god was he gorgeous. You sheepishly smile at him and he returns it with one of his own. Your little moment is interrupted as a waitress stops by the table to ask if you needed anything else, but upon doing so, she spots Jamie. She flirts with him shamelessly much to your discontent. Setting your arm on the table, you turn to Will who was already staring at you with a strange look on his face. You want to question why he’s still on the floor, but a hand touching yours makes your body still.
“You want anything darlin?”
You honestly don’t know what came over you ever since Jamie decided to sit down right next to you. You’re able to mutter out an answer but notice the waitress looking at you with squinty eyes and a frown. Glancing back at Will, you take note of the way he stares off into space. Waving your hand in front of his face, he gives you a lazy smile. You hold your hands out to pull him up. However, Will decided to jump up too fast and ended up falling into your lap. You catch him before he can fall over which ends up with him sitting in your lap. Your snickers capture the attention of the other boys.
“What in the fuck are you two doing?”
You cover Will’s ears, “Don’t use crude language in front of my son.” It’s all fun and games as Will wraps his arms around your neck to stabilize himself and keep the joke going. But it’s never a party until something goes wrong.
“I never pictured you being a cougar, but you know what they say.”
Derek and Jasmine stand before the table. Jasmine seems uncomfortable as she presses herself into Derek’s side, but she moves to do nothing. The music hides any loud comments from the other tables, but the boys hear every word.
“No, I don’t know what they say, Derek.”
“Ouch, feisty. Had a little too much to drink there didn’t you?” The sarcasm in his tone is evident, but you’re not letting this go, not with the confidence you have with the alcohol in your system. Derek is faster though, he always was. He claps a hand on Will’s shoulder before speaking.
“Don’t waste your time with this one, she doesn't put out much.” He winks before pulling Jasmine away.
You visibly deflate, your good mood ruined. Colin attempts to follow him but is pulled down by Dani and Jamie. You excuse yourself from the table, a hand held to your face to stop any tears from falling. Will sinks into the chair you were sitting in watching you walk as quickly as you could while intoxicated in heels. As soon as Colin is free from the hands holding him back, he follows you.
Breathing in the fresh air, you fan your face to make the tears disappear but a few escape your eyes. The red carpet has long vanished, barriers lined up against the wall, but a lone bench calls out to you. It’s silent, no cars or people are on the street. You could care less as you sit on the bench. The door swings open and an out of breath Colin sits right next to you.
“I forgot how fuckin fast you are when drunk.”
A watery smile finds its way to your face and a concerned look from Colin is all it takes for the tears to start streaming down your face.
“I tried so hard Colin. So hard. And I still get shit on. No matter how many songs I write to get rid of these feelings, to try and connect with people who feel the exact same, but it still hurts. Why does it hurt?”
The way your face falls breaks Colin’s heart. He holds you as you sob in his arms. It tugs at his heartstrings at how torn apart and shattered you were. However, he brews with anger at what you said and he thinks about the music you’ve written. Not your recent halftime show, but the two sister albums you put out some time ago. Some made sense in your fictional love triangle story you had meticulously created, they were beautiful while others were sad and tragic. The thought of you hoping for the love you gave in return and never receiving it? It made a few tears fall down his face.
“Oh love. I wish you had come and talked to me.”You whisper out an “I couldn’t” and a “He wouldn’t let me”. And oh how that angers Colin. You slowly wear yourself out, falling asleep in his warm embrace. The words float in Colin’s head. He starts to understand a little more about the relationship you had with Derek and why he felt so cautious about it. And he knows he needs to ask about it when you wake up.

99% | Isaac McAdoo
masterlist found here
pairing - Isaac x Hughes!reader word count - 1,758 warnings - !! Ted Lasso Season 3 Episodes 8 and 9 spoilers !! A/N - I feel like no one reads Ted Lasso fics (or at least no one out there is writing them) but I got this thought when I watched the most recent episode and it was going to sit with me if I didn't just write it so here we are
summary - Colin needs Isaac, and as the former's twin and the latter's girlfriend, isn't it your job to step in?
Tumblr media
Growing up, your friends did not understand how you and Colin could be so close. Sure, he was your twin, but you two were drastically different, and you knew that, but you couldn’t really explain it. Brother or not -twin or not- Colin was your best friend. You told each other everything.
Still, when he told you he was gay, you’d be lying if you said you saw it coming.
You always thought it was weird when people with gay siblings say, I always knew or I had a feeling. It’s not like Colin had a sign above him that said GAY in big bright letters. He was just Colin.
You were both 16 when he told you. He had gotten scouted by Cardiff City and was understandably nervous. You could see all the signs of his anxiety as you helped him pack to move closer to the club. It seemed like the confession had tumbled out of him, like he shocked himself by telling you. Tears were pooling in his eyes, and you just cocked your head to the side to study him for a moment. Then, you nodded and gave him an upside down smile, and shrugged. “Okay.” His eyebrows furrowed.
“Okay?” he repeated, to which you nodded.
“Yeah,” you said. “Okay. Thanks for telling me.” You tossed him one of his t-shirts to pack away and smiled. “I love you.” A tear fell from his eye, but he brushed it away quickly and smiled wide.
“I love you, too.”
Over the years, your relationship only got stronger. You ended up going to school for sports medicine and became AFC Richmond’s team physician a few years after Colin joined the team. It was nice working so closely with him, and you loved all of the players like family.
Except Isaac.
You couldn’t say you loved him like family because you were in love with him. The two of you started dating about a year into your time working with the team. You felt like your life was pure bliss. Every day you got to work with your brother -who also happened to be your best friend- and your boyfriend. Not many people were that lucky. And for a long time, things were basically perfect.
Sure, Colin had some ups and downs with the team, but with Zava gone and him starting again, things were really looking up.
And then, the hack. And Isaac found out Colin was gay.
Not only did he stop talking to your brother, but he stopped talking to you too. Your own boyfriend was ghosting you. It was like he had this need to distance himself from the whole Hughes family, and while you couldn’t understand it, Colin asked you to leave it alone.
“I don’t like seeing you like this,” you said to him, cross-legged on his bed in front of him. “I know you’re hurt.”
“Of course I’m hurt,” he said with a scoff, “but I’m not going to corner him and force him to talk to me.” He stared absentmindedly across the room. “Isaac could kick my ass if he wanted to.”
“He would never.”
“But he could,” Colin said with a wag of his finger. “And that, little sister, is the problem.”
You rolled your eyes and shoved his shoulder. “12 minutes, Colin. 12 minutes.” He laughed and shook his head, then grew serious again. “I’m asking you to leave it alone, (Y/N), okay?” he said.
You sighed, your own smile fading, and nodded. “Okay.”
It was hard for you to sit back in silence, because you saw how massive of a prick Isaac was to Colin, on and off the pitch. You wanted to slap him. To tell him to cut it out. To remind him that your brother needed him now more than ever. But you loved Colin, so you kept your mouth shut.
Then came the match against Brighton.
It was clear the team was all out of sorts with Isaac’s head so out of the game. It was hard to watch from the sidelines, and it was even harder to listen to the fans heckling them the entire time. One fan in particular somehow managed to carry his voice over the entire crowd, and you could see in Isaac’s eyes that it was getting to him, especially as they walked off the pitch.
And then, you heard it. The f-slur.
Colin’s shoulders dropped, and Isaac’s head snapped in the direction of the stands. And he lost his shit. He pushed his way through the crowd and charged the heckler, grabbing his shirt in his fist and screaming in his face. When the red card was waved and Roy managed to get him out of the stands, you followed him and the rest of the team back to the locker room.
The room was silent, save for Isaac’s huffing. You tried to lock eyes with Colin, but his head was down. Ted looked around, waiting for someone -presumably Isaac- to speak, but when no one did, he said, “Sure, no, I’ll kick it off. Isaac, what the hell happened?”
His chest heaved as he lifted a finger. “One of our fans said some ignorant shit!”
“Okay,” Ted said, then stammered out, “What’d they say?” Isaac waved a hand dismissively before hanging his head again.
“I heard it,” Sam said. “He said the f-word.” Confusion carried over the team, including Ted himself, who was now so accustomed to the way football fans threw curses around, he didn't understand why that word would bother Isaac.
“Fuck?” Jamie said.
“No,” Sam said. “The other f-word.”
Jamie’s eyes widened. “Oh, fuck.”
Everyone made various noises of understanding, and you finally managed to catch Colin’s gaze. He looked away quickly though.
“If it helps,” Higgins said, “the fan has been removed.” He paused. “And I apologize for my dad.” The team looked at him incredulously, and his smile dropped. “Sorry, not the time for jokes,” he said. “Ugh, read the room, Leslie.”
“Okay, okay, I get it,” Ted said. “I get it. Um, Isaac, look, what that guy said? Inexcusable, alright? But man-” He chuckled lightly, a little awkwardly. “-your reaction to it ain’t gonna be taught in any Tibetan monasteries anytime soon. You know what I’m saying?”
Isaac looked like he was on the verge of screaming, breaking something, or bursting into tears. And you hated it.
“Yeah, now we’re one man down,” Jan Maas said. The team started to mutter various agreements.
“Yeah, Isaac,” Sam said, “come on, man. It’s nothing we haven’t heard before.”
Colin had heard it his whole life. And that wasn’t fair.
“Exactly,” Jamie said. “It’s just poopy. Ignore it, man.”
And then, Isaac snapped.
“Ignore it?” he shouted, standing up from the bench. “I don’t want to fucking ignore it. What if one of us is gay? Huh?”
You had never heard the locker room so silent.
“We shouldn’t have to deal with this shit!”
The team watched with wide eyes as Isaac ripped off the captain's band, threw it at Sam, and stormed out of the room. Ted looked like he was about to follow him, then Roy held up a hand to stop him, implying he would go, but you were already out the door instead, and every member of AFC Richmond knew not to cross your path when you were on a mission.
You found Isaac in the kit room, crying. He looked up when he heard the door open, and quickly put his head in his hands when he saw it was you. You quietly walked over to him and sat beside him, keeping only a small amount of distance between the two of you. You allowed him to be the first to speak, whenever he was ready.
He sniffed. “Do you know?”
You nodded, your hands folded on your lap. “Yeah. I know. I’ve known for a while.”
He sniffed again and pressed the heels of his hands against his eyes. “He lied to me.”
You sighed and shook your head, putting your hand on his cheek and prompting him to look up at you. “You know I love you,” you told him, “but can you take a step outside of yourself for a second, babes?” His eyebrows furrowed deeply. “Can’t you imagine how scared he is?”
“But it’s me, innit?” he said. “Why’s he scared of me?”
“It’s not about you, Isaac,” you said.
“Then what’s it about?”
“That’s not a question you should be asking me.”
Isaac frowned and dropped his head to his hands again.
“All I’m saying is, there aren’t any openly gay players currently in the premier league,” you reminded him. “Think about what he must be feeling every single day.” You put your hand on his upper back and dragged your nails across his kit gently. “You’re his best friend. He needs you right now.” You kissed his cheek before resting your head on his shoulder. “And you can’t be there for him if you’re kicked off the team and arrested for assault.” He scoffed and shook his head before looking up at you again, a fraction of a smile on his lips.
“I love you,” he said.
“I love you, too.”
“I’m sorry for being a dick to your brother.”
You shrugged. “I’m not the one who needs the apology.”
Things happened fast after the game. You didn’t really get to talk to Colin, as badly as you wanted to, but you could tell something was different. He seemed lighter. The team seemed closer. Sure, they had won the game, and Colin had been the main reason, but it felt like more than that. And your suspicions were confirmed when you texted him later that night.
You okay?
Colin: I told the team
(Y/N): Shit. Do you wanna talk about it?
Colin: I’m okay, little sister. They’re good teammates
Before you could respond, he texted you again.
Colin: Isaac came over. Told me what you guys talked about
(Y/N): I’m sorry. I know I swore I wouldn’t interfere
Colin: It’s okay. We talked it out. Everything’s all good
You smiled and typed a fast reply.
(Y/N): I love you
Colin: Love you too
Colin told you later about the speech Ted had given to the team, and as convoluted as it might’ve been, you knew where his heart was. You loved Colin, and while his sexuality didn’t change how much you loved him, you did care. And now, his whole team did too. Especially his best friend.

Love Will Find a Way
Sam Obisanya x reader
Summary: After a year of trying to get over Sam Obisanya, Colin insists you attend a speed dating event with him.
And would you look at that, Sam’s here too.
Contains: Drinking, light angst, and fluff. No use of y/n.
Word count: 2.8k
Notes: The fact that there aren't a numerous amount of fics about Sam is actually a crime so I had to step in.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life,” Colin reads the pink chalk-written words on a wooden A-frame sign in front of the restaurant. He turns to you, pursing his lip while nodding as if he were impressed.
You simply smile and nod, indulging your friend who suggested you come here with him.
You observe the room once you two enter—the quintessential red and pink balloons at every corner of the room, including pink lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Red and pink decor are set all around the place with a banner hanging maliciously over the seating area:
FOR SINGLES READY FOR LOVE
You sigh before you continue to look around. There’s a lot of older people here; people in their mid-forties and up. Makes sense. Those around your age usually rely on dating apps, but there are a few exceptions which, you guess, is a relief.
You’re able to identify two other young people and realize one of them is Isaac. And the other is…oh, fuck, oh, fuck, oh, fuck.
You grab Colin’s bicep, hoping to reroute your plans. “You know what, actually I think I change my mind—”
“Wait, is that Isaac and Sam?” He notices, raising his damn hand excitedly. “Isaac! Sam!” Colin places his fists on his hips, shaking his head. “Who knew they’d be here?”
You give him a hardened stare before offering the other two footballers a disingenuous smile as they walk your way, drinks in hand.
Naturally your eyes drift to Sam and you can’t resist admiring his outfit for the night. A black turtleneck and brown khakis.
This is going to be a long night.
“Wild seein’ you here, innit?” Isaac says.
Colin nods fervently. “Yeah, weird coincidence.”
Sam gestures his drink in your direction. “What brings you here?
Oh, god, he’s talking to you.
You scratch the back of your neck nervously. “Colin was nice enough to invite me,” you tell him, though ‘nice’ is not the word you would honestly use. ‘Cruel’ sounds more accurate, but you digress.
Sam smiles thoughtfully, though he can’t say he doesn’t feel as awkward as you. “I’m sure you’ll find a match. Anyone would be lucky to have you.”
You ignore Isaac and Colin glancing at each other, gripping the strap of your tote bag just a tad bit tighter. “And to you, also,” you shoot him a finger-gun with your free hand. “ As well. Too.”
You’re insufferable, but Sam chortles anyway, thank goodness for that.
“Finally got Sam off Bantr.” Isaac pats Sam’s back.
Sam shakes his head. “I deleted my account a long time ago.”
And you know why. It’s hard to think about Sam’s relationship with Rebecca without feeling a little jealous…okay, a lot.
Sam sips his punch. “Isaac suggested I come here, so here I am.”
Ding, ding, ding!
You all turn your heads to a woman holding a call bell in her hand. “The event begins in five minutes!”
And so the night begins.
Each date feels prolonged despite being on a three-minute timer. Many people who are much older than you discuss topics beyond your time or too early in your longevity to experience. And when you meet people around your age, well, let's say a severe lack of chemistry is the only thing that comes into mind.
Admittedly, you debated pregaming before Colin picked you up. You decided against it until you saw Sam here, therefore during the five-minute break, you mumble, "Eh, what the hell?" to yourself before sneaking off to the bar, ordering a shot of tequila before you and Sam meet.
Liquid courage.
Sam greets you with a pursed smile, waving his questionnaire card (cutely) and taking a seat in front of you. "Hi."
“Hey.” You smile back a bit more enthused than usual. Less nervous. More loose.
“So how are your dates going?” Sam wiggles his eyebrows.
You lean forward closer to him, balancing a pen between two fingers. “Hmm. Oh, see that guy over there?”
Sam’s head stealthily turns to the man you point at—slick back gray hair with a salt and pepper beard.
“Apparently, he owns 0.5% of West Ham.”
Sam looks back at you, leaning closer. “Dealbreaker?”
You nod exaggeratedly, leaning away. “Very much so, Sam. You know I’m ride-or-die for Richmond.”
He pats his chest, smiling playfully. “I’m flattered.”
From two different areas of the room, Colin and Isaac are seated with their respective dates. Colin and Issac narrow their eyes on you and Sam, shushing their poor dates whenever they attempt to speak.
When you feel your neck practically burning, you swivel your stool, catching them do a questionable job at pretending they weren’t just hyper-focused on you and Sam.
Colin mouths fake words to his very confused date who will certainly write him off later. Isaac looks upward, chin on his palm, eyes squinted, and mouth parted as if he were in deep thought.
“Okay…” You murmur to yourself before facing Sam again. “How about you, huh? Meet anyone you fancy yet?”
He offers a sigh, tilting his head towards his previous date. “See that woman over there?”
You discreetly look to the left and see an elderly woman speaking with her date, a man fortunately around her age. They seem to be hitting it off.
Sam shakes his head, feigning a disappointed sigh. “I thought we had something.”
“Another older white woman stolen from you, man. You gonna take that?” You tilt your upper body towards the perhaps soon-to-be couple before sipping your ice water.
Sam’s shoulders bounce, chuckling. He turns to them. “Yes, I am.”
You also turn, feeling envious from the sight. You observe the woman’s incredibly pink face and the subtle red on the olive-skinned man’s cheeks. Mutually smitten.
You and Sam face each other in unison, both of your hands below the table as you lean your torsos against the round table. Sam’s hands clasp beneath the surface while yours continue to fiddle with your pen.
Colin hides behind his questionnaire paper below his eyes—espionage still at work—and Isaac ignores his date once again, enthralled by your date as if it were a movie.
If only there were popcorn, he thinks.
Sam says your name, but you’re stuck in his trance, buzzed and hypnotized. His voice swims around the atmosphere he tends to unintentionally create whenever you speak to him.
Then you remember what occurred a year ago; you remember the reason why you slightly furthered yourself from him in hopes of moving on. Frankly, it didn’t work very well.
Isaac’s brows furrow even deeper than usual, and he looks over at Colin who shrugs at him, sharing the same concern as you back away from Sam. You sober your deluded mind with another drink of water, reminding yourself that Sam is just…Sam. He’s naturally kind, charming, and genuine. He gets along with everyone. You’re not special.
You hold your questionnaire out, smiling tightly. “What am I doing? We’re supposed to be asking each other questions. Uh, okay, let’s see.” You scan your sheet. “What’s your dream career?” You ask hastily. You awkwardly laugh at yourself. “That’s a stupid question.”
Sam repeats your name, but you’re too lost rambling about the stupid questions in your hand.
“Where are you from originally?” You cower behind the paper. “Know that, too. Uhm, okay, let’s see. Oh! Here, if you were an animal, what would you be—”
Sam says your name louder and places his hand on yours, lowering the paper from your face.
“A goldfish. If I were an animal, I’d be a goldfish,” he answers.
You peer down at your hands. “The ten-second memory thing Coach Lasso told you about.”
He slowly pulls his hand off yours, but it sits close by. He nods. “Exactly. There are certain things I want to forget; things I cannot change. But there are things that I can change.”
Things he can change? Where is he going with this?
He continues. “Last year when you asked me—”
Ding, ding, ding, you both hear, jumping at the sound of the call bell. Chairs scrape the red-checkered floor and the sound of shoes patter all around you. Time to go.
“See ya, Sam,” you hurry to your next date who just so happens to be the captain of the Richmond football team. “Isaac, hey.”
He simply shakes his head.
Four more rounds pass until the host of the speed dating event gives out the last announcement.
“Alright, everyone! Whoever you scored most with is your match. Say ‘hi’ to your potential partner! And give yourselves a round of applause for putting yourself out there tonight!”
Two pairs of hands clap with her, hands belonging to Colin and Isaac. You refrain from rolling your eyes at them when the bartender approaches you.
“What can I get you?”
“Uh, a Jack and Coke please.” You face her before turning around again.
You observe Sam speaking with one of the organizers of the event. The organizer reluctantly hands Sam his score sheet with a confused expression on her face. He nearly catches you staring until you turn back to the counter.
“One Jack and Coke.” The bartender sets down your drink, but not without noticing you eyeing Sam. She smirks, wiping down a glass cup with a cloth that was previously on her shoulder. (Classic bartender move.) “Obisanya your match?”
You study the small sheet in your hand, analyzing the scores and the contact information of someone already on your phone.
“Oi! How the hell did you match with me?” You hear Isaac stomp behind you.
You smile mischievously, gesturing your head toward him.
The bartender nods, pouting her lower lip before finding another customer, and you use the counter to spin yourself around to your distressed friend.
“Maybe we’re soulmates,” you suggest facetiously, lifting your drink towards him.
Truth is, you might have taken a peek at his questionnaire sheet when he kept exchanging looks with Colin. His disappointment earlier combined with Colin’s invasive questions about your date with Sam after you got through all your sessions helped piece things together.
Plus, Colin’s insistence that you come to this event in the first place.
“Get in line.” He stands with his arms crossed next to Issac.
Isaac sits and harshly waves his sheet. “Why copy my sheet when your real match is-”
Colin clears his throat, poking his elbow against Isaac’s arms.
“Somewhere in this room,” Isaac finishes.
The only one in this room who piqued your interest was Sam. Towards the end, there were potential candidates. However, neither was Sam Obisanya.
You scoff, sipping your drink. “Nice save, Lindsey Lohan. I’ve seen Parent Trap enough times to know what’s going on here.”
You wonder why they’d want to pull something like this, especially after you told them that Sam turned you down. Pestering Sam to go on a stupid date with you is not something you would ever do, nor something a normal person should do, period.
God, you hope Sam doesn’t think you did this on purpose.
Isaac continues to eye you disapprovingly before his gazes shifts upwards to a new presence behind you, this presence being none other than Sam leaning his side against the counter. And now you’re sitting between him and the other two sneaky bastards.
“Sam! Who’d you match with?” Colin reaches in front of you and snatches Sam’s score sheet. He frowns. “No one?”
Isaac yanks the sheet from Colin’s hand. “What? How’s that even possible?”
Sam plucks his sheet back from Isaac, stuffing it in his back pocket. “If it’s alright with you two, I’d like to discuss something with them.” He looks down at you. “Alone.”
Your cheeks burn up, easily. Is it the whiskey? Is it Sam? Either way, you’re taking another sip.
Isaac gets up immediately, rapidly nodding alongside Colin, saying, “Yeah, ‘course, bruv,” before the two footballers leave, whispering to each other.
You place your drink down and fold your arms on the counter as Sam sits beside you.
His sweet smile doesn’t cease. “Hi.”
“Hi,” you respond sheepishly. You take a third sip before speaking again. “So no one, huh?”
Sam shakes his head. “Thought I maybe had a chance with her,” he jokes.
You find the elderly lady from earlier matched with the elderly man. He leans on his cane with one hand and his other hand snakes around his date’s arm, hooking it with his.
Maybe speed dates work after all.
“Who’d you match with?” He asks curiously. You hand him your sheet. “Isaac? How did that happen? Wasn’t he just glaring at you the whole date?”
“Pretty much, yeah.” You laugh, placing the paper back on counter.
Wait a second. Sam was watching you?
You try not to look too much into it.
He reaches for his earlobe, lightly tugging at it. “There was something I wanted to tell you before our date ended.”
Oh, god. Is he going to admit how uncomfortable you make him? Is he ending your friendship right now? Yeah, you added some distance between the two of you, but in your defense, you had no intentions of actually ending your relationship.
He speaks a little louder. “Last year, you told me you liked me. Romantically.”
Fuck, you despise the recap.
“And I told you I didn’t feel the same way.”
You clasp your hand around your glass, however Sam stops you, hand on yours.
“Let me finish. Please.”
You dubiously comply, releasing your hand from the cup and nod, letting him continue with whatever gut-wrenching news is going to wreck you for the next few months.
Your head faces his direction, but you stare off at nothing in particular.
He continues. “I was telling the truth when I said I didn’t feel the same way. But as time passed, the more we got to know each other and the more things in my love life started to unravel, I started to fall in love.”
You furrow your brows, meeting your eyes with his.
“With you,” he adds. “And I understand if you don’t feel the same way anymore. But I just…wanted to tell you how I felt.”
What the hell is happening? This is a prank, right?
You take a look behind you, wondering if perhaps there was someone beside or behind you who he was confessing his feelings to instead.
Nope, just you. You’re barely tipsy, so there’s no way you’re misunderstanding him.
You remain quiet, not quite sure what to say. The expression on your face worries him and he calls your name.
You softly shake your head. “I’m sorry, can you repeat that?”
Now it’s Sam’s turn to internally freak out. He glances at your drink, wondering if he could ask for a gulp.
“Uh…” Sam tugs at his earlobe again and chuckles nervously. “I like you?”
Maybe two sips, he thinks. Three? No, no, that’s irresponsible, he decides.
“Can I have a glass of water please?” He raises his palm at the bartender, politely ordering to fill the silence.
You grab his wrist and lower his hand on the counter, sliding your hand over his, adding, “Make that two,” to his order, because there is absolutely no way you’re getting drunk after what he just told you.
Sam looks away from the bartender and he takes notice of your hands. His ears warm up.
“Definitely wanna be sober for this,” you tell him quietly, and the edges of his lips curve upward. Hesitantly, he entwines his fingers through yours like they belong there.
“Two waters.” The bartender drops off your drinks, glancing at your hands. She raises her brows before leaving you alone.
Sam uncombs his fingers from yours, getting up from his chair. He moves closer to you and spins you by the backrest of your chair, so your body faces him. Then he cups your face. “I don’t know if they allow PDA here, but may I kiss you?”
You gently hold on to his wrists. “They host speed dates every week. I’m sure one kiss is fine.”
He giggles, moving his face closer to yours, murmuring, “One kiss?”
You flicker your gaze between his eyes and mouth. “Or two.” You shrug. “But yes. You may.”
Sam licks his lips before sinking them into yours, and his eyes and yours instinctively shut. You inhale deeply through your nose, breathing in the person you didn’t know would expect to eventually reciprocate your feelings.
His lips are so soft, pillowy against your own. He massages his lips on yours, enveloping himself deeper against you by tilting his head. You feel lightheaded—a delightful combination of his kissing skills and the faded work of the alcohol you ingested earlier.
Your daydreams do not serve the real thing.
You’re the first to pull away, catching your breath. “Seriously though, how didn’t you match with anybody?”
Sam smiles proudly and pecks your lips. “I asked one of the event-coordinators not to score my sheet. Told her I changed my mind.”
You stand, removing his hands from your face without letting go. “Good.”
From a distance, Colin and Isaac sit at a table, gazing at the other couple like before.
Isaac holds his plastic cup out, smirking. “Too easy, man.”
Colin clinks his cup against Isaac’s. “Too easy.”

Sweater Lovin'
Tumblr media
Request: I have thought of a request for you! Matching "Ugly" Christmas sweaters with Ted -@believemetheodore 💕💕💕 Ps happy holidays!
Description: You and Ted decide that AFC Richmond's holiday ugly sweater party is the perfect time to not only tell the team about your relationship, but tell the world as well.
Warning: mentions of ted's big dick lol
Pairing: Ted Lasso x reader
Word Count: 3.4k words
A/N: i did it! i got another holiday fic out before Christmas was over! Well, technically Christmas is over where I am (it's 1am), but it's not over for all of the world yet, so I'm considering that a win. 4 more holiday fics to go, two for jason and two for ted (one for each containing smut 👀) and then we'll be back to our regularly scheduled program. happy holidays, please enjoy! oh also, all of the sweaters are linked in the fic! i really hope you like all of the sweaters, i worked very hard to find ones i thought were great for each character specifically.
-
A chill runs through your body as you brought your hand down from knocking on Ted’s door, the Richmond puffer wrapped around your body clearly not doing enough to keep you warm. As you attempted to warm your hands by blowing on them while rubbing them together, Ted opened the door, a bright smile on his face, “Hey there, honey!” The mustached man pulled you into a sweet kiss, his hands resting on your biceps before he pulls away, “Let me put on my sweater and I’ll be ready to go!”
The man skirted away in his collared white button-up, heading back to his room as you walk around the living room, taking in the boxes scattered around the room. Even though Ted wasn’t the one moving, you were joining him in his flat, he was quick to offer to donate some of his things, wanting to make sure there was space for your things, “It was my place first darling, but it wasn’t really home until you came along, so I don’t want it to feel like it’s anymore mine than it is yours”. Your entire apartment resembled his living room, though all of your belongings were packed as opposed to only some of his things. As you looked around the room, coming up with some ideas for which decorations and photos would go where, Ted enters the room, dressed in his sweater, “Ready, sweetheart?”
You turn to him with a sweet smile, nodding as you both journey to the door, Ted taking his puffer off the hook and incidentally matching you. After locking up the flat, you and Ted begin the trip to Nelson Road, your fingertips brushing each other every so often as you walk, both of you having to work hard to not lace your fingers together. “You think they’ll be surprised?” Ted chuckles at your question, not at all annoyed despite you asking this question god knows how many times over the past week. “Well, Beard and Keeley know, so we know there will be no shock there. Roy seems to know everything, and even if he was surprised, it’s not like we’d know.” You giggle at that, Roy is a close friend to both of you and even if you can read him better than when you first met him, the man didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve by any means.
Ted glances at you, a soft smile on his face as you laugh, his pupils practically forming hearts as he looks at you. The two of you crossed the street, switching from the park to a sidewalk bordering the street, Ted subtly switching to your left side, acting as a buffer in between you and the street, before he continues, “Boss signed off on our HR paperwork and Higgins processed it so obviously they know. Now, the boys? I’m not sure. As much as they tease me whenever they catch me lookin’ at you, I don’t know if they actually think I have it in me to win you over.” A boisterous laugh leaves your mouth as you lightly slap Ted’s arm, “You did not do any winning over, you know that.”
He mirrors your laugh, throwing his arm across your shoulders, feeling safe enough to do so with the sunlight subtly disappearing and a barren block of the street, “I’m not sure about that honey, I did manage to convince you to move in with me after only eight months. And we both know how out of my league you are.” You jokingly roll your eyes at his comment, shoving him off of you, your action met with his beautiful laugh, “We both know that no convincing happened, Teddy. I practically begged you to let me move in as soon as possible when you asked me.”
You place your left hand on his forearm to stop him, turning him to face you as you glance around, making sure the coast is clear before looking back at him. “And, I am not out of your league in any way, my love. I mean just look at you,” Ted blushes as you run your fingers through the graying stubble along his jaw. “I’m with the most gorgeous man alive. Not to mention he has a huge fucking di…” “Whoa whoa whoa,” Ted’s face quickly turns red, stepping closer to you and covering your mouth with his hand, “Let’s not do that here, yeah?” Your eyes twinkle at him as you run the tip of your tongue along one of the lines in his palm, a choice that Ted groans at, “Darlin’, we are not skipping this party, so you’re gonna need to stop this before we have a problem downstairs.”
A chuckle comes from your lips as you back away, continuing your journey down the sidewalk, Ted quickly falling in step with you. “Putting all that aside until later tonight, we’re both lucky, okay?” A smile rests on Ted’s face as the two of you arrive at Nelson Road, heading to the back door, “Agree to agree, honey.” Though outside the thick-walled building, you swear that you can hear the loud music and cheers of the team from here. Ted opens the door for you, the break in the fortress’s protection confirming that you were in fact hearing the noise of some of your favorite people.
Rather than entering through locker room doors in the hallway, you and Ted enter his office first, dropping off your puffers before joining the party, seeming to be the last to arrive. The room erupts in cheers when they see the both of you, excited with your presence and seemingly not paying attention to your sweaters, “There you are, the best part of the Greyhounds’ management team! Oh, and the gaffer is here too!” The boys howl in laughter at Isaac’s rib at Ted, the team captain has changed out of his traditional secret Santa uniform and instead now wears a black sweater with the words “Big Gift Energy”.
The two of you laugh at his joke as well, though you know Ted is in agreement with the team’s leader while you are adamant Ted is the best part of the entire beloved team. Sam comes over with two beers, passing one to each of you, a bright smile on his face as he greets you, “Hey, nice sweater there, Sam!” The player thanks his coach, straightening out his sweater that shows an elf and Santa dancing before examining each of your sweaters, most likely preparing to return the compliment. Sam’s smile somehow becomes even brighter, looking up at both of you before tossing you a wink, “I like your sweaters too, nice choice, Coach Lasso.”
You laugh lightly at Sam’s comment as he walks to join his teammates, you imagine spreading the news or sending people in your direction. Ted leans down, his hot breath meeting your ear, sending a chill down your spine, “He’s right you know, I made a great choice.” Before you can respond, Ted is walking around, his voice loud and jolly, apt for the season as he greets the people you both have come to consider family. You hear a gasp that you recognize as Colin’s, turning to see Sam talking to the man dressed in a red sweater with the iconic “Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal” line embroidered across it.
Though before you can respond to his reaction, you are pulled into Keeley’s arms, “Babes, this is great! I’m so glad we found these sweaters, this was the best way for you to tell them!” You chuckle at your best friend, she already knew about your relationship with Ted and yet it seems like she may be the most excited about the news. Pulling away from each other, you take in her outfit, though you helped her find it online, the model-turned-PR manager dressed in knee-high white boots and a short sweater dress with sequin lights across it. Even though Keeley knew about your relationship, you imagine she is this excited since she can now talk about it with Roy, who you now realize is standing with her.
Looking up to greet Roy, possibly the loudest laugh you’ve ever had comes from you, you’re not even quick enough to soften it by covering your mouth. Behind Keeley, Roy stands with a small, proud smirk on his face, dressed in his normal black jeans and a black sweater, though his sweater is covered in pictures of faces, well, one face, specifically, the face of Jamie Tartt. You struggle to hold yourself up as laughter combs through your body, barely noticing when a familiar hand is placed on your lower back, “What’s up with you, darl…” Before Ted can finish his question, he notices Roy’s attire, stifling his own laughter as he raises his eyebrow at the man, “Uh, whatcha got on there, coach?” Roy looks down as though he has no idea why Ted would be asking such a question, looking back up at the now public couple, “The invite said ugly.”
Another roar of laughter racks through your body, Ted practically having to hold you up as he moves his hand to your hip. Your boyfriend, though incredibly entertained by Roy’s take on the party instructions, attempts to lightheartedly reprimand him, “Now Roy, does that seem like the best way to improve your relationship with Jamie?” Before Roy has a chance to give Ted an answer sure to be riddled with expletives, Jamie joins the conversation as he slings his arm around Roy’s shoulder, “Don’t worry coach, he’s just doin’ this cause ‘e’s jealous of mah sexy face.” You snort at Jamie’s response as well as his sweater, a winking Santa face placed in between the phrase, “Ask your mom if I’m real”, Roy growls at the younger man, “You have five seconds to remove your arm from me, Tartt.”
Keeley leads the two bickering men away, smiling at you and mouthing “congratulations” to Ted, to which he mouths “thank you” back, excited beyond words that he was standing here not only with you, but with you. You wipe away your tears, your laughter dying down as Ted moves to stand in front of you, “I swear, that’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.” Ted chuckles, more at you than what Roy is wearing, “Yeah, I can see that, sweetheart.” You look around the room, happy to see everyone having a good time before turning back to Ted, the man offering you a cider as he moves to take your beer. He was fucking perfect. You hadn’t even asked him, you hadn’t even had the chance to make a comment about being handed a drink you didn’t like, yet Ted made sure to grab you your favorite drink to replace the beer.
You smile at the gesture, taking the cider from Ted and giving him your beer, both of you opening the drinks and taking a sip. You just stare at him, in awe of what you have, before his hand comes towards your face, wiping off a drop of cider that gathered on the corner of your mouth. He brings his hand to his mouth, sucking the drop off his digit as you just watch him, “I love you, Teddy.” He smiles brightly at you, “I love you too, hon.” Before you have the chance to make a comment on wanting him to do something else with his thumb later, Rebecca and Higgins join you, Ted moving to stand next to you so that the two can stand across from you. “Well, your shoulders seem much lighter now that this is out in the open,” Rebecca smiles sweetly while Higgins nods in agreement with her comment.
You open her mouth to thank her but stop yourself, distracted by Leslie’s sweater, an option that you and Ted both quirk your eyebrows at. Of course, the two of you recognized the characters, Henry loved playing the game with Ted over FaceTime, then adding you to the mix after meeting virtually. Ted chuckles at Higgins' pink sweater, as he smoothly slips his free hand into the back pocket of your jeans, certainly excited to be able to touch you in public after eight months in secret, “Hey, Leslie, buddy, why are you wearing an Among Us sweater?” A light seems to go off in Higgins’ head, pointing to Ted as his face lights up, “Among Us! That’s what it is! Rebecca asked me and I just couldn’t remember.” He seems pleased with himself before seeing your still confused faces, “Oh, yes, well I told my boys about the party over breakfast a couple of weeks ago and said I couldn’t find a sweater to wear. They said they had it covered and then gave this to me this morning, I have no idea what sus…mas means though.”
Higgins shakes away his confusion as he is called away by one of the players, leaving you, Ted, and Rebecca to laugh at your lovable, but sometimes clueless, friend. “Boss, wow, I…love your sweater,” you snort back a laugh at Ted’s compliment as Rebecca dramatically rolls her eyes, “Oh please, Lasso, please save your American niceties tonight. This was out of my choosing, it is all the fault of Keeley and your girlfriend, her girl-next-door aura is truly just an act.” You jokingly scoff at your friend, “Rebecca, just admit it, you bet that you could beat me at trivia at our girl’s night and you lost, simple as that. It’s not my fault that no one can beat me.”
Ted points at you as he nods, a knowing look on his face, “Yeah, that one I can attest to. No one gets one over on Y/N in pub trivia, Beard and I learned that the hard way.” In the corner of the room, you see Beard relaxing in his chair that he pulled out of the office, his feet propped up on a bench as he reads Little Women, a Christmas classic. Without looking up from his book, Beard shouts in agreement with his best friend, “Beat our asses.” You turn back to Rebecca with an innocent smile and a shrug as she groans, looking down at her red sweater with a wine glass in the middle, encircled by the words “All I want for Christmas is you”, though the word ‘you’ is crossed out and replaced with the word ‘wine’.
Rebecca bitterly mutters under her breath before you all laugh at the situation, your shared friend complimenting your’s and Ted’s sweaters before, ironically, going to refill her glass of white wine. Alone again, you turn your head to look at Ted, incredibly aware of the placement of his hand as he takes a drink of his beer, “You having fun with your hand back there, Coach Lasso?” A small smirk appears on Ted’s face, side-eyeing you before taking a quick swig of his beer, “Just enjoying the perks, my love.” You chuckle at him before looking back at Beard, surprised by his sweater choice, the words “Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie” printed across his chest. You look at Ted, who is already looking at you, which brings a light blush to your cheeks, “Is Die Hard really Beard’s favorite Christmas movie?” Ted shakes his head, smiling at your question, “No, his favorite is The Holiday, he loves a classic Nancy Meyers. He just wears that sweater to start a debate.”
You chuckle, not at all surprised that Beard would do that, taking a sip of your cider before turning to see Keeley approaching you with a bright smile, “There’s England’s new favorite power couple!” Both of you laugh at her greeting, Ted taking his hand out of your pocket only to move it to your hip, pulling you into his side. You wrap your arm around his waist, cuddling into his side, “Hey Keels, what’s up?” The look in her eyes tells you she’s up to something, though you have no idea what it could be, “The fans love keeping up with the team, you both know this. So I’m posting photos on the team’s Instagram stories of the party and all the sweaters.” You nod along, suspecting that you know where she’s going with this, but you still want her to ask, “Okay, and…?” Keeley rolls her eyes, after two years of friendship, she knows that you’re making her ask just to be annoying, “Would you be okay with me posting you two in your sweaters?”
Even though you and Ted discussed things like this when deciding to tell the team about your relationship, you looked to him for confirmation. The two of you decided to be completely in the open when you told the players, you would be free to walk to work holding hands instead of walking with Beard in between the two of you as a buffer. This didn’t mean you would be doing any interviews any time soon about the romance between Richmond’s gaffer and physical therapist, but you wouldn’t hide your relationship either. Ted gave you a nod with a small smile, a smile you returned before turning back to Keeley, “Of course, Keeley. Just make sure to tag me so I can put it on my story.” Your friend squealed in excitement as Ted squeezes your hip lightly, knowing just how many times you tearfully complained to him that you couldn’t just post about him on social media like “any normal person”, as you would say.
Keeley pulls out her phone as Ted takes your cider can from you, placing them on the bench behind you. Running your fingers through your hair, you turn to Ted as you run your tongue over the front of your teeth just in case of runaway lipstick, “Do I look okay?” Ted smiles softly at you, leaning in to kiss between your eyebrows, “Perfect, as always, baby.” You send him a smile before the two of you turn to Keeley who is already snapping pictures, though she defends herself before you can complain, “Don’t worry, those are just for me! Not social media!”
You jokingly roll your eyes before Ted moves to stand behind you, resting his jaw on the side of your head, making sure to stand far enough to the side that his sweater is still visible. Leaning back in his embrace, you smile brightly at the camera as you place your hands over his. The phone flashes, Keeley sending you both a thanks before running off. Both of you chuckle at her and you then turn in Ted’s arms, wrapping your arms around his neck and playing with the hair on the nape of his neck while he tightens his arms around your waist.
“Have I told you that I love you lately?” You look to the sky and hum as you jokingly think, Ted chuckling lowly at your face, “I don’t know, I think you need to, just to be safe, you know?” Ted nods, leaning close enough for you to share the same air, the end of his mustache hairs tickling your upper lip, “I love you, Y/N.” You smile brightly, scratching at the base of his head with your fingernails, “And I love you, Ted.”
The two of you meet in a kiss, his scruff (that you begged him to make part of his style at least every so often) brushing against your palm as you move to hold his face in between your hands. The various voices of the room become loud cheers of excitement and a couple ‘get a room’s, the both of you pulling away as Ted releases you to swat away at the boys. A vibration from your phone leads to you pulling it out of your pocket, opening up the Instagram notification, and smiling at what you see. You hold your thumb on the screen to pause the story, enjoying your’s and Ted’s first picture as an official-to-the-world couple. The green of his sweater and the red of yours balance well, emphasizing the holiday season and the reason for your party.
You select the button to repost on your story, Ted’s arms snaking around your waist as he rests his chin on your shoulder. He watches over your shoulder as you add text to the photo, using the red from your sweater to write “Happy Holidays” and the green from his sweater to finish with “from mine to yours”. You rest your head against his as you smile at the photo, Ted’s chest dressed with two honeypots and the words “Oh Honey” in between while your sweater shows two reindeer with the phrase “Oh Deer!” Ted kisses the side of your head as he squeezes his arms just slightly around your waist, “Merry Christmas, honey.” You press post, sharing your love with the world, “Merry Christmas, dear.”

put me in a movie — roommate!snowjanus x reader
on a rather boring friday night, you decide that you can't just sit around with your roommates (boyfriends) and watch a boring movie... with your persistent whining, coryo decides you might just have to make one of your own
cw: 18+//threesome//piv sex//blowjobs//exhibitionism//backshots//degradation//coryo filming them fuck!//throuple goals <3
an: sorry it's been so long guys, i've been exhausted and too lazy to finish any of my drafts, but i hope you enjoy this one ;) i had to give you another roommates au!
Tumblr media
the movie the boys had put on was terribly boring—coryo fancied himself something of a film connoisseur, but you knew that really, all he did was write long-winded reviews on letterboxd about godard films, that nobody read. sejanus was too much of a people-pleaser to say no to whatever either of you wanted to watch, so you were forced to sit through all two hours of fight club.
you were yawning twenty minutes in, never much one for the films that coryo enjoyed—you preferred anything with hugh grant or colin firth, which coryo gave you so much shit for. you knew that there were better things you could all be doing this friday night, and the nagging heat at your core was an indication of that.
about halfway through the film, you managed to nestle yourself into coryo’s lap. you rubbed your ass against his crotch, but he was so engrossed in the movie that he moved you off his crotch and back to your spot on the couch.
‘coryo,’ you whined, clambering back on top of him and peppering kisses across his face.
‘stop,’ he scowled, shoving your pawing hands away.
you frowned, turning to glance at sejanus who seemed a little less engrossed in the film than coryo, and so decided that your best bet at relieving your tension was him. you pressed a kiss to his cheek, and his eyes flickered over your features; drawn into a look of desperation.
‘sej, i’m bored,’ you murmur, straddling his lap, both sides of your thighs pressing against his.
‘yeah?’ he cocked a brow, still trying to peer at the movie past you.
you let out a heavy sigh, bubbling with vexation at their ignorance of you. why were they more interested in the movie than you? when you were so needy… normally they’d be over you in an instant, one of their hard-ons pressing against your thigh or poking against your ass.
‘i need some help,’ you whimpered, grinding your clothed cunt against his crotch.
‘baby, i’m trying to watch,’ sejanus’ hands grabbed at your waist, attempting to move you off of him, but you continued to rut your hips against him.
you knew it wouldn’t take long for sejanus’ body to respond, even if he cared more about stupid fight club than his hot roommate grinding on him. you peppered kisses down his neck, fighting his attempts to fend you off. a low groan escaped his lips as you ran your teeth across his pulse point, and you found that he was finally beginning to be receptive to your movements.
‘please sej, i really want to suck your cock,’ you pleaded, moving off of him and sliding to your knees.
you tugged at the waistband of his sweatpants, the bulge of his hard-on visible. your mouth watered as you slid your hand under his boxers to palm at his cock. sejanus moaned at the feeling of your cold hands stroking his throbbing cock, and figured he couldn’t just say no.
coryo’s lips were drawn into a scowl, and he pressed pause on the film to cast you a disgruntled glare. you’d distracted him from appreciating this fine piece of art—you were totally going to ruin the vibe for his letterboxd review.
‘sej, she’s being a brat,’ coryo snapped, wrapping a firm hand around your wrist.
‘ouch,’ you pouted, but he wasn’t pressing hard enough for their to be pain.
coryo rolled his eyes, but decided that if you were really going to act like such a desperate whore, he ought to take advantage of it. he used his free hand to pull out his phone, and his features flickered into a look of slight amusement.
‘if you’re going to distract me from the film, ‘spose i’ll just have to make one of my own.’ coryo grinned, pulling you back onto the large sofa.
you felt the heat continue to pool at your core, being manhandled by him, and moved your other hand to continue palming sej—the poor thing hadn’t said a word but you could see a dark patch forming on his boxers that indicated his tip was leaking.
‘coryo, what are you-’ you were silenced by his fingers deftly rubbing at your inner thigh, causing a soft moan to escape your lips.
‘come on, show me how you suck cock,’ he commanded, putting the phone in your face.
your eyes were stretched wide, but you nodded, moving so you were on your knees and elbows, head facing sejanus’ crotch from the side. your ass was now in coryo’s face, and he let out a delicious groan at the sight of it—your skirt had managed to flip up, revealing the fact that you were wearing a tiny pair of lace panties.
‘fucking hell, sej, wish you could see this,’ he tutted, moving the phone camera so he could film your pussy.
you let out a whine as coryo’s fingers pulled your panties to the side, exposing your wet, clenching hole. he ran a teasing finger over your slick hole, sending your eyes back. your hands were curled around sejanus’ hard cock, but coryo was distracting you too much to allow you to follow his orders.
‘coryo, please,’ you mewled, attempting to slap his hand away.
‘come on, princess, you can do it,’ he said sternly, guiding your head down.
you obliged, and began to swirl your tongue around the tip of sejanus’ cock. he let out a heavy sigh, hand reaching out to grasp at your hair. you licked up the trickles of precum that were coating his shaft, the sound of your mouth popping sending shivers down sejanus’ spine.
coryo had ceased his teasing for now, instead focusing the camera on you and sejanus. he loved how humiliating it was, forcing you to suck sejanus’ cock before the camera, the threat that he could do anything with that video looming over your head. however, the thought of that was what egged you on—it wasn’t as if you hadn’t been filmed before. you’d always let sej and coryo film you when the other one couldn’t be there to share the fun.
you took sejanus in your mouth now, lips stretching around his thick shaft. coryo laughed a little, enjoying the way your eyes began to water as you pushed sejanus further down your throat.
‘fuck, baby,’ sejanus groaned, cock twitching in your throat.
‘such a slut, taking sej’s cock like that,’ coryo taunted, giving your ass a slap.
your knees buckled slightly, but you kept bobbing your head up and down sejanus’ cock, tongue laving at the sensitive veins that covered his shaft. coryo felt himself harden at the sight, the way you were gagging as you attempted to take sejanus all the way. he loved how no matter what, you were always gagging on the both of them—sej because he was so thick, and coryo, because, well, it wasn’t like you could take all eight inches down your throat.
coryo’s free hand reached to rub at his cock until it was fully erect, until he slowly tugged at the waistband of his pants and boxers to free himself. he moved the phone to show off his big, hard cock, laughing to himself as he began to rub it against your ass.
he slapped the tip of his cock against your ass, watching as you whined around sejanus’ shaft. sejanus let out a breathy grunt as your whine sent a shock of pleasure through his body. your fingers moved to grasp his balls, playing with them softly as you tongued the tip of his cock.
you giggled, eyes stretched wide with a dumb look in them, saliva trickling from your lips as you sucked at the head of his cock. coryo ran his cock through your soaking folds, shaking his head in disbelief at how wet you were.
‘fuck, so fucking wet, huh? getting off on being such a little slut for me?’ coryo cajoled, pressing his tip into your tight cunt, feeling you stretch around him.
‘can’t even speak your mouth’s so fucking full with sej’s cock,’ he spat, sliding his cock back out, earning a whimper from you at the loss of pleasure at your achy core.
‘so close baby,’ sej managed to spit out as you pushed him back down your throat, fingers still deftly grasping at his sensitive balls.
coryo saw his chance to send you over the edge and slammed his cock all the way in, focusing the camera on the way your back arched as he entered you. he couldn’t believe how much of a slut you were being, letting him film you taking two cocks.
you moaned against sejanus’ cock as he twitched again in your mouth, his hips bucking with desperation. a grunt escaped his lips, and his head rolled back in pleasure, cock releasing its pent up tension. hot spurts of his cum spilled down your throat as you sucked him to his release.
when you pulled off his cock, you swirled your tongue back around the tip, licking up all the spend and swallowing it prettily. sejanus smoothed back your hair gently, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. you gave him a sweet smile, but the way coryo was beginning to pound into you proved awfully distracting.
‘being too sweet to her, sej, when she’s a whore,’ coryo mused, cock stretching out your tight, wet cunt.
your eyes rolled back, toes curling with pleasure as he took you from behind. your skin danced with warmth, turned on by the fact that coryo was filming you in such a vulnerable position. the way you held your pert ass just so for him, your pretty pussy just waiting for him to enter it—god, he too felt his own release coming on.
‘fucking slut,’ coryo slapped your ass, and gripped the firm fat of your cheek between his hand as he drove into your cunt.
‘so good!’ you gasped, feeling the rigid veins of his big cock pushing against your tight walls.
sejanus watched as he began to stroke his now soft cock to hardening again, getting off at the very sight of you with your face beginning to press against the soft seat of the sofa. coryo grasped a handful of your hair, pulling you back up with a rather forceful snap.
‘keep your head up, fuck!’ he grunted, snapping his hips against your ass.
‘can’t, coryo,’ you whimpered, cunt clenching around his huge, throbbing shaft.
your body was overcome with pleasure—he wasn’t even touching your clit, the simple feeling of his cock pounding into you was enough to send you over the edge. your mouth stretched around several pretty moans, your eyes fluttering open and shut as the sound of your wet cunt taking him echoed across the room. coryo was going to love watching this back when he was horny.
‘such a good little whore, taking my cock,’ he praised you, tugging at your hair again, loud enough to elicit a whimper as your scalp begin to tingle.
‘you gonna cum for me?’ he inquired, hand moving to rub at your ass cheek.
you were surprised at his gentleness, and nodded, but your hopes of him being sweet dissipated when his hand smacked your ass firmly. you mewled, body rearing back as pain and pleasure mingled. you were so, so close, clenching around him as he thrust deeper, tip poking at your cervix.
you let out a haggard breath, and felt yourself unfurl, slick gushing around his cock. coryo shook his head with a groan, moving the camera so it showed your milky arousal coating his shaft.
‘look at that, so fucking wet for me,’ he grinned, continuing to pound you, your tight hole clenching wetly around him, a slick ring forming at the base of his cock.
sejanus was close again too, and you smiled at him as you took coryo’s cock, lips wet with drool from how deep coryo was burying himself inside of you. his cock pulsed ever so slightly, and you could tell that he was near to his release.
‘i want you to cum inside me,’ you whined whorishly, but coryo pulled out before you could finish begging for him.
‘nuh uh, sluts don’t get to be filled up,’ he laughed cruelly, beginning to stroke his cock with his free hand. ‘gonna cum all over this pretty ass. you’d like that, wouldn’t you?’
he was taunting you, cock pressing against your now red cheeks—hand prints visible as a reminder that this was a punishment, and you didn’t get a say when you’d decided to distract the two of them during the film.
‘fuck!’ coryo sighed as he came.
his pearly cum spurted out against your ass, trickling down to your lower back as you arched a little at the sensation. he let out another bemused chuckle, watching as sejanus came against his stomach, the pathetic look on his face clear to the both of you.
coryo put the phone down, and pulled you into his lap, uncaring that your ass was covered in his hot, sticky cum. he pressed a surprisingly gentle kiss to your lips before gazing at you with his baby blues.
‘next time, you’ll know better than to disrupt me when we’re watching a film.’

Mended Relationships and the Future
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jamie Tartt x Fem!reader Characters: Fem!reader, Ted Lasso, Coach Beard, Keeley Jones, Jamie Tartt, Rebecca Welton, Isaac Mcadoo, Colin Hughs, Sam Obisanya, Dani Rojas, Jan Maas, Roy Kent, literally all of the players (I just can’t think of their names) Warnings: Slight angst, fluff, cursing, mentions of pregnancies, mentions of reader not taking care of themselves (don’t do this), Jamie being sweet, reader and Jamie being dummies for a second, the team being so goddamn adorable, the team gives such family vibes, Jamie pretending the reader and he are engaged so he can stay with her, Ted and Beard are a powerful duo, this is my favorite TL fic that I’ve written Word Count: 3,783
A/N: Bits and pieces are based on this post
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You walk into the coach’s office with your hands in your hoodie pocket, clutching onto your phone to keep your hands busy. "Why did you wake me up and force me here, Ted?"
"That's not a can-do attitude."
Your expression doesn't change, if anything, you look more tired and drained. Another reason why the mustached man got you out of your home. "Ted."
He sighs. "I wanted to check in on you, haven't seen you in a minute."
You sigh. "I would prefer it if I were in my bed right now to be honest with you."
"After we go out to lunch."
"I want to be out of here before I run into..." You pause when you almost say his name. "You know what- I'm just- I’m gonna go." You barely turn around and hear the door open.
It takes you less than a second to duck, which makes Ted feel a little bad but doesn't change his mind.
He knows you two need to talk, especially when neither of you want to admit who broke up with who... or why it happened.
Your emotions take a toll on your body again and you crawl towards the trash can, dry heaving until you feel it coming up (again).
Beard kindly closes the door before anyone could walk in or hear you as Ted rubs the space between your shoulders.
"How long have you been feeling like this?"
You shrug.
"How long?" He asks again.
"A few weeks."
Ted glances over at his long-time buddy with wide eyes. "Please don't get upset or take offense when I ask this but have you-"
'Play dumb. Play dumb.' "Have I what? Use words, my brain isn't functioning off your noises."
"Is there a possibility that you could be, you know, with child?"
Your head snaps up. 'He knows.' "Why would you ask that?"
"You have a few of the signs."
"When was the last time you went to a doctor?" Beard chimes in.
"A while ago."
"So, you know?"
"Whether or not I'm pregnant with my ex-boyfriend’s baby, who coincidentally told me he doesn't want kids just as I wanted to tell him I do. Yeah, it was right as I was about to tell him I am with child, which is why I've been dodging all of you but you and Beard here," you point to Ted's sidekick, who waves. "Dragged me out of my house."
"Oh, honey."
"Does he know?" Coach beard intervenes (again).
"What do you mean?"
"You said, you wanted to tell him... did you?" Ted politely asks.
"He broke up with me, so I didn't give him my surprise, but I tell people it was mutual because he asked me if," the tears roll down your cheeks. "If it was okay. The fucking ex-cockiest player of all, asked me if I was going to be okay, so of course I said yes and then he left. We haven't spoken since."
"He should know."
"I know but he is scared to death to have his own kids. Why would I-" You scoot back and rest your head against the wall. "I want to go home. I have a few things coming later today and I need to be there for them. It’s time I start," you take a deep breath. “Getting things ready.”
"We can get those later, I've gotta make sure you're okay right now."
"I'd be better if this nausea, vomiting combo would go away."
"Do you want me to have Keeley get you a ginger ale or something?"
"Yeah."
The door opens and there she is. She stares at you with the same look she gives you every time you throw up. "I had a feeling you were going to need this."
-
Jamie sees what he imagines is a glimpse of you sitting in his coach’s office. He furrows his brows, wondering if it was really, you or if it's a figment of his imagination... again.
It wouldn’t be the first time this week.
-
"What?" She practically screams when Ted tells her on behalf of you, the Jamie not knowing part; she already knew you were pregnant, but she thought he knew and decided not to be in either of your lives. Now she feels a little bad about not being nice to him.
You bury your head in your hands. "Shut up. Don't shout anymore, please."
"Can you blame me? That's big fucking news babes. I thought he already knew."
"Yeah, I know. Just, shut the door please."
She doesn't, so you push yourself up and close the door.
You sway as you take a step back, “oh, boy.” You can hear their voices but not hear their words. You feel yourself falling backwards before it fades to darkness.
Ted and Beard catch you, carefully laying you down so the latter can call for an ambulance.
Jamie steps closer to the office, sensing something’s happened. He opens the door and his jaw dropped as he’s about to ask what's going on until his eyes land on you.
He immediately falls to his knees beside you, holding your face in his hands, not caring about the rug burn that’s going to ache later. "What happened?"
No one responds.
"What fucking happened?"
Ted doesn't feel he should be the one to tell him and does all that he can to try and calm down his player. "She's fine, she probably didn't have enough to eat for breakfast, is all."
"Bullshit. She's done that before and never fainted before." He stares down, studying your face. "So, why is she fucking unconscious?"
-
You don't know anything that happened within the last few hours.
All you know is that there is an annoying beeping sound coming from the side of you and your one hand is warmer than it normally is.
You slowly open your eyes, blinking multiple times as you try to adjust to the lighting. You look for the source of the warmth and find Jamie, holding your hand with his head rested on his arm with his head facing you.
The door opens and you find Ted peaking in.
The way his shoulder sags in relief makes you feel bad.
He tiptoes closer and lets you know what happened.
"Why is he here?"
He smiles as he peaks over at the sleepy man. "He didn't leave your side."
"How did he know?"
"He came in as we were calling for an ambulance. You scared him, he would barely let the paramedics help."
"Isn't family only allowed in here?"
"Apparently you two are engaged."
You owlishly blink. "What?"
"He said you two were engaged and he needed, no, no. That's not right, he demanded, there it is. He demanded to be in the room with you. I wasn't here for most of it. In the room I mean but I think he knows because he looked very shocked and then came in here when they told him he could and hasn’t left since."
The coach ignores the fact that your heart monitor spikes as you ask, "he knows?"
"I think so."
Jamie moves a little in his sleep.
"That's my cue to leave."
"Wait- no. Ted. Come back." You glance between him and Jamie. "Ted," you hiss. "Come back here."
Jamie squeezes your hand as he slowly begins to wake up.
You look back at him just in time to hear the door close. You throw your head back and sigh.
"Sweetheart?"
You slowly turn your head to stare at him, your eyes becoming sad.
His shoulders sag in relief as a slow sigh escapes his parted lips. "How are you feeling? I should- I should go get the doctor, shouldn't I?"
You reach for him, grabbing onto him before he could leave. "Jaim. Jaim?"
He doesn't turn around but settles back into his seat.
"Jam-Jam?"
A sniffle fills the room.
"Jamie, look at me."
He shakes his head. You tighten your grip on his arm, ignoring the familiar burning sensation in your nose. "Jamie, I need you to look at me."
"Why?" He sniffles, staring at you with his now, bloodshot eyes. "Were you ever going to tell me?"
"Don't throw that question my way, Tartt."
"No more, Jam-Jam?"
"I was going to tell you."
"What? After the birth?"
"I'm more tempted to now." You wipe the stray tear that tipped past your eye lid before he could see. "I initially planned on telling you right when you broke up with me but, we see how well that turned out."
“Wh- is that what you had been trying to do the whole time?”
You nod and lean forward, drawing him into you; needing to comfort him and be comforted all at once.
He moves closer to you, closing his eyes at the feeling of your hand against his face; something he hasn’t felt in what feels like, forever. He hadn’t realized you were wiping away his tears.
“I wanted to figure out the best way to tell you because, I mean we hadn’t exactly talked about us having kids before and I kind of figured that with everything that went on with your dad. I thought it was going to make it hard for you to think that you could be a good dad. Which, I think is stupid.”
He opens his mouth to ask what you mean until you continue.
“I mean, how could you not be a good dad because personally I think you’d be absolutely fucking phenomenal.”
“Yeah?”
You nod, “big time. You’re already doing better than your dad.”
“What do you mean?”
You smile and sniff. “You’re not making any of the stupid decisions he has.”
“I made one.”
You tilt your head. “What was that?”
“I broke up with you. I just-” He pulls back from you (something he does when he feels like he’s undeserving of something). “I thought- I thought you were pulling away to break up with me and you couldn’t figure out how to do it, so I-”
“So, you thought breaking up with me first, was a better option?”
He nods, scratching his head.
“Come closer.”
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he weakly argues.
“Come here.”
He scoots the chair closer.
“I need you to be honest with me when I ask these questions, okay?”
He nods.
You sigh through your nose and reach for his hand. “Is there any part of you that does not want to be a part of either of our lives?”
“No.”
“Do you want to be with me?”
“Yes.”
“Are you going to leave any time soon?”
“The fuck do you take me for? I’m not going to leave you ever,” he stands up and bends down, staring into your eyes before leaning down to kiss you. “Okay? I love you too fucking much to let you go again. I hated being away from you.”
“Same here but, I’m really happy you’re here… even if it was because I fainted.”
“Speaking of, why did that happen exactly?”
“I- well- I hadn’t had anything-”
“Let’s just cut the bullshit, have you been taking proper care of yourself since we were separated?”
You shamefully shake your head.
He doesn’t show his disappointment, but you know it’s there.
“I’m sorry,” you sniffle.
“Hey, hey. Don’t cry. Isn’t that- crying is stressful on the baby, ain’t it?”
“Not so much- I mean, maybe?”
“Okay, well.” He grabs your hands, bringing your attention to him. “Let’s take a few deep breathes so we can calm down for Baby Tartt.” You can’t help but chuckle. “Do do do doo.”
“Listen to you. Guess I rubbed off on you, eh?” You roll your eyes, not believing that for a second. “Does any of what you’ve said within the last two minutes sound anything like what your dad could say?”
“Not in the least bit.”
“See, exactly. It further proves you’re different and how much you’ve grown from the cocky man who couldn’t care less about anyone else.”
“Hey. That’s someone we don’t speak of.”
“Of course,” you salute him. You two can barely keep your amusement to yourselves and break into a fit of smiles and giggles.
He stares at you, watching as you wipe your cheeks and leans up, kissing your forehead before placing his on top of your head. “I was,” he hesitates to finish his sentence.
You nod and cup his cheek, letting him know you’re there, a simple gesture to let him know you want to hear what he has to say.
“-so scared when I saw you lying there unconscious.”
Your heart drops at the way his voice cracks. “Jaim. Jaim. Look at me.”
He shakes his head.
You don’t push any further and instead opt for bringing him closer, letting him rest against your chest, squeezing you in a hug.
It takes a few minutes before Jamie manages to calm himself down enough to revert back to your adorable boyfriend. “Oh, shit. I didn’t hurt the baby, did I?” He asks, now scared to touch you.
“No. You didn’t.”
You hold out your hand for him, “do you trust me?”
He nods, “’course I do.”
“Give me your hand.”
He slowly inches his hand closer and closer to you.
You huff and reach for him. “Are you ready?”
He doesn’t move or make a noise as you place his hand over your belly. “Am I supposed to be feeling anything?”
“Other than knowing the fact you are going to be a father soon enough, no. I’m not that far along for us to feel any kicking.”
He bends down as a breath of relief escapes him. “Thank god, I thought I was supposed to feel kicking or something and I didn’t, which scared me the hell out of me because I thought he already hated me.”
“He?”
“I mean, hello,” he gestures to himself. You roll your eyes and take your hand back from him. “You’re so going to be cursed with girls.” “How can you say that?”
“Have you met yourself?”
“I have and we’re actually quite happy together, sorry for the late notice, sweetheart.”
You close your eyes and let out a dramatic sigh.
Ted peaks his head in through the door. “I see you two have talked things out? Hopefully, if not. No pressure. Well, maybe a little seeing as I have everyone waiting in the hall.”
“Everyone?” You repeat.
The coach nods. “Give me second.” He looks back over his shoulder, pretending to count, “one, two, four. Yep, everyone.”
You place your hand on your forehead. “Suddenly the thought of everyone knowing makes me nauseous.”
“Hey, hey. Look at me.”
You turn your head and look at your favorite person ever… for now.
“If we can get through the team being little shits and the press making unnecessary comments about our relationship, we can get through the team knowing.”
“We can?” He gives you an affirmative nod, “we can.”
“We can.”
“Atta girl.”
“Alright, guys. They said okay,” Ted waves everyone in.
“I suddenly realize how many of you there actually are,” you comment.
Sam, Dani, and Colin chuckled.
“As captain, I feel like it’s my duty to ask,” Isaac leans closer to you, talking to you in a softer tone than his normal one. “How are you?”
You smile, “I’m better now.”
“Good, that’s what we like to hear. Ain’t that right, team?”
“Yes, coach!”
“And now I’m scared.”
“Oh, don’t be scared especially when you’re carrying a special bundle of joy,” the mustached man points out.
“Oh fuck.”
“Something the matter, Roy?” Ted asks.
“Yeah. She’s carrying Tartt’s baby.”
“I’m pretty sure they covered that topic back in school but continue.”
“There’s going to be a baby brought into the world soon.”
“Yeah?” Ted glances over at Beard, who shrugs.
“With his blood coursing through its veins,” he points to your ex-not-ex-boyfriend.
It’s quiet for three seconds before everyone groans and rolls their eyes, they think about what it could be like with a baby Jamie.
“Hey, hey now. Let’s not think about something as crazy as that because this baby is a good thing.”
“Yeah?” Jamie whispers, glancing back at Ted, not letting go of your hand.
“Yes, it is,” the coach nods. “You’re going to go through one of the many joys life brings you.”
“What’s that?”
“Fatherhood… that, may or may not mix with a lot of uncles and two aunts who decide they want to spend time with the little booger.”
“Would one of those many figures happen to include you, coach?”
“No,” Ted shakes his head.
“Not at all, Beard.”
The door opens and heads turn.
“Hi, I’m just here to-” The nurse takes note of the number of people in the room. “I’m sorry but I’m going to have to ask anyone but the father and mother of the child to leave.”
“Is it not believable that a woman could have this many boyfriends?” Jan asks.
“Shut up.” A shoe aimed at his head, hits the wall and lands on the floor with a thud.
The guys decide it’s time for them to leave, which lets you two see the few things the team has gotten, and it makes you tear up, freaking Jamie out.
And he doesn’t want to admit it out loud, but it was really nice of them team to do.
“Should we open some presents?” Ted softly asks, placing one in your lap.
“Didn’t the nurse just kick you out.”
“I’m your dad.”
 “We’re your dads,” Beard adds.
You glance over at Jamie.
He shrugs, not completely hating the idea of having these two around. “I would’ve liked to know about my new parents beforehand. What’s next? Roy’s my uncle.”
“No, he’s a granddad more than anything,” Jamie chimes in.
You wipe your cheeks and smile at him before gently pulling the tissue paper out of your way. You pull out a onesie that looks normal, until you unfold it and inspect it. You sniffle as you hold it up for Jamie to see.
He doesn’t realize why you’re crying until he reads what the back of it, “Tartt 9”. He doesn’t feel the tears trickling down his cheeks until you wipe his cheeks.
“Jaim?”
He shakes his head and pulls you in for a hug, kissing the top of your head, over and over again.
Ted smiles behind his phone.
“We should probably give them some time alone.”
“You think?” He asks.
Beard nods.
Ted sighs, “okie dokie.”
They hold their hands up to wave, only to find your face squished against Jamie’s chest, barely able to wave them off.
You and Jamie wind up opening every one of the other gifts, enjoying each other’s company after being apart for so long.
“I think we should name it Jamie.”
“Baby Tartt is not an it, it’s a baby,” you argue.
“And we’re not naming them Jamie.”
“Why not? It’s a good name.”
“I’m not saying it’s a bad name but, we want our little pumpkin to be able to grow into their own, right?”
“We-” He sighs, thinking about it, already knowing you were right. “Yeah.”
“Good.”
“Was that everything?”
“I don’t know.” He glances over, finding a bag left on the floor, partially hidden so you couldn’t find it unless you were really looking. He grabs it and sets it in your lap. “What do you think it is?”
“I don’t know,” you shrug and move it closer for him to open (feeling you’ve done enough of the unveiling with presents).
He pulls a figure out of the bag. “A bike?” Jamie brows furrows together in confusion until he thinks about it. The light bulb goes off in his head, everything clicking together, and he smiles.
“Is there a card?”
“I hope so.”
Now you’re confused.
He pulls out what looks like a plain index card. “Free one learn how to ride a bike pass.” He chuckles.
“I’m lost.”
“Remember how I told you I had something funny I wanted to tell you a couple months ago, but I couldn’t because the shithead was making me train, even though Ted gave us the night off.” He huffs and sits back in the chair.
“Okay, I don’t need the background information, just give me the synopsis.”
“Right,” he straightens his back. “I taught Roy how to ride a bike in memory of his granddad.”
“You did?”
“Yeah,” he nods with a smile.
“And he let you?”
“Not without trying to hurt me but I did it.”
“I’m so proud of you.”
“Yea- really?”
“Of course, I’m proud of you. You taught the world’s grumpiest man how to ride a bike and lived to tell the tale.”
“I guess you’re right.”
“Of course, I’m right.”
“I hope the baby doesn’t get your cockiness.”
“My cockiness? What about yours?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, sweetheart.”
“You lie.”
He fake gasps and slaps his hand on his chest. “I take offense to that.”
“I’m not sorry.”
“You should be. We don’t want this one’s first word to be a lie.”
“It wouldn’t, don’t be mean,” you whine.
“I’m not. I’m just being me.”
“Yeah, and that’s mean.”
He smiles and shakes his head.
You start folding a few of the blankets the guys got, feeling the need to do something. “Hey, look. They got one with sharks.”
“We don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl.”
“Girls can like boy things too.”
“Do you really want to be asked if we have a boy or a girl every day.”
“Don’t be mean.” You smile, holding it close to your chest. “I like it. Baby Tartt, do do doo doo. Baby Tart, do do doo doo.”
He groans, “please stop.”
“Never.”
You stiffle a yawn.
“Come on,” he takes away the few things on your lap and blanket from your hands. “You need to rest.”
“But I don’t want to.”
He smiles at the whining tone in your voice. “I know but it’ll do the two of you well.”
“Fine,” you tell him with a pout. “But sit by me. I… I’ve missed you.”
“How can I say no to my girlfriend?” Jamie settles beside you and lets you lay against his chest.
As you sleep and he’s bored, searching through the hospital’s shitty channels, he stumbles upon something interesting, an old childhood show he used to watch.
You open your eyes to hear the song you briefly sang earlier.
“Doo doo. Baby Tartt, do do doo doo.”
“Jam-Jam?”
“Hey,” he clears his throat. “How are you feeling?”
“Better. What were you doing?”
He shrugs.
You smile and snuggle back into him. “I won’t tell anyone.”
