Steven Juliano changed my life; ”took me in” from age 19, schooled and educated me about the club, promotion, concert and radio marketing business, and put an exclamation point on this ‘mentorship’ with money he gifted to me for years and years. Nobody knew Steven Juliano (the angel investor & friend) as I did. He put me on TV, radio, and helped me promote and market concerts. He once funded my “edible chocolate rose” campaign I launched for Valentines Day back in the 90’s. That was $3000 he left in his screen door for me to pick up in a winter storm. When I was “away on vacation” Steven sent me money all the time for 7yrs, and it further enabled me to focus on my novel writing. He bailed people out of trouble. He stayed way left of any mafia ties that might be presumed of a successful Italian entrepreneur. He always kept that 9mm in his jacket pocket and drove low key dependable cars; nothing close to the muscle car collection he kept in his basement. Steve was always about doing the right thing, paying taxes and loving his family. I probably met his daughter 2x even tho I have spent countless hours in his presence, in his home, doing errands, traveling from radio station to nightclub to restaurant supply. No I never went on his wild excursions to find that original auto part, but I was there in his basement while he performed meticulous mechanic duties on those collector cars of his. I once sold a Bentley for him and I’ll never forget the family of gypsies who pulled up to his Pelham Manor home to haggle and eventually purchase the same. I could go on forever talking about Steve and how he greatly impacted Black Music, Black Entertainment, and even how he helped people like the late #ColonelAbrams, hiring the singer while knowing full well the man had a drug habit and was always in dire straights. God bless this man and all he stood for. I had lunch with Steve in his hometown Pelham back in early 2000s, and he expressed great pride in how successful I became as a novelist. I rcvd his blessing regarding a book i wrote called “club ny” (a storyline that is heavily positioned at Bentley’s).
