In Exile, I Must’ve Gone
It’s been a while, folks. Almost two years, in fact, since my last scribble on this game we all love to hate-and what a journey it’s been. Two new galactic legends, a slew of updates (they FINALLY gave us fleet loadouts!) and at least 3 CW Chewie shards between them and now. As someone who was deeply passionate about theory crafting, but preferred the medium of script as opposed to forcing…

Everyone and their mother has already figured out that the newly spoiled Jace, Cunning Castaway goes infinite on the spot with Doubling Season. Interestingly, Jace, Architect of Thought also goes infinite with Doubling Season and Wheel of Sun and Moon (ult Jace, cast him again from your library along with something else from your opponents, rinse and repeat). This deck was built to play these combos.
The 4 cards so far are 2 Planeswalkers and 2 Enchantments, so the deck wants to play either an Enchantress or a Superfriends shell, and we are in Bant colors. The obvious commander for Superfriends is Atraxa, and the most obvious commanders for Enchantress are probably either Daxos the Returned or Hanna, Ship's Navigator, both of which nicely fit into Atraxas color identity (of note, the Theros Gods are of course also great Commanders for Echantress decks, but they have no inherent synergy with playing lots of other Enchantments, so I excluded them from this list).
Furthermore, Daxos also synergizes with Atraxa via his Experience counters, which can also be proliferated. The two other commanders within Atraxas color identity who also benefit from Experience counters are Ezuri, Claw of Progress and Meren of Clan Nel Toth, so in they both go. This gives the deck an additional axis: play small creatures which sac themselves for value, other sacrifice outlets and some extent of self-mill. Of course, there are a handful of Enchantment Creatures from Theros block which fit the bill here and also synergize with the Enchantress subtheme.
Some basic functionality of the deck (i.e. Ramp, Card Draw and Removal) is covered by Planeswalkers and other cards which work well with Atraxa and/or Daxos, Ezuri and Meren (and their associated playstyles).
Finally, I had about 10 slots left in the deck and decided to put in curses as a subtheme - they fit into the Enchantress theme and enable Bitterheart Witch, which is somehow abusable by Meren and triggers Ezuri at least once. Of course, these slots are somehow customizable, although I would suggest at least some Enchantments to reach a necessary density for the card-drawing Enchantresses, the deck's main source of card advantage.
The manabase is focused on manafixing for 4 colors and can of course be adapted to individual budgets and availabilites.
TL;DR: Echantress/Superfriends/Graveyard-Recursion/Weenie Hybrid with two dank Jace-combos as wincon!
Looking for feedback, card suggestions, comments, etc.

Here’s something I’d like to pass on. What are some cards that people include in every deck they build? For me, I’ve got Trinket Mage and Trophy Mage in every Blue Commander deck I build, plus Sunforger in every Boros deck. Sometimes I feel especially cheeky and use Trophy Mage to get Sunforger. @chelsea-beleren-vess @trans-chandra @odric-master-swagtician @chandra-nalaar @bace-jeleren @commandollar @commandtower-solring-go @sarpadianempiresvol-viii @sarkhan-volkswagen @magus-of-the-color-pie @blogging-phelddagrif Sorry about the tag spam, but I really wanna see this one get out into the community!

So @supersparagus-blog just created a tumblr! He's an MtG player, and he wants to follow the 'main' people in the community, but I've mostly unfollowed people because of all the reblogs. Who would you suggest he follows? Thanks!
It depends on what his interests are, honestly! XD
For quality memes, @sarkhan-volkswagen, @bace-jeleren, @theceaselesshunger, and @magic--the--memeing are all great sources. The first two are also major players in the community here!
For Magic-related asks, @magicjudge, @markrosewater, and @dougbeyermtg are awesome in their replies to the community.
For Magic-related articles, @sarpadianempiresvol-viii, @commandtower-solring-go, and @blogging-phelddagrif all put out great content. They are also lovely people to talk with!
For EDH/Commander specific content, check out @commandertheory, @the8x8theory, @commandollar, and @wordofcommander. They range from building on a budget to comboing out consistently with their strategies.
For Magic story and lore, @vorthosjay, @vronos, @askkrenko and @abzanascendancy all provide answers to any lore questions or summaries to the latest installments. Also, @voiceofallmtg creates dramatic readings in audio form, with voices from the Tumblr community!
For fanart and comics, @isharton, @hirfael, @chandra-nalaar, @sketchydoodles, and @cardboard-crack all create masterpieces of their own. They definitely bring life to the characters and interactions we know and love!
For an overall good time, follow @flavoracle, @bizarre-trader, @chelsea-beleren-vess, @tumblhurgoyf, and @odric-master-swagtician. They keep the community positive and uplifting.
And of course, don’t forget to follow @wizardsmagic! They’re the coolest!
If there are any blogs y’all from the community think I should have mentioned, go ahead and reblog this post with your recommendations!

Hello, All!
I’ve been a member of Tumblr for quite a while now, but only as a follower and a lurker, without really having a blog of my own. Some of you may have noticed me like your posts before under the username jackhuckelberry. Tonight, however, I figure it’s finally time I step up and actually become an Active Tumblr Poster™ in the MtG community! None of you are going to get any follow notifications from me, because I already follow you, so I figured I’d just give some of you a shout-out to let y’all know that hey, I exist! You have a new friend (if you care for one).

6 Years Later: Dear Capital Games, Fix TW
When Territory Wars debuted 6 years ago today, it was seen as an exciting new game mode, where your guild came together to slug it out against another. It was challenging, it was demanding, and the players overall looked forward to the slugfest. Now, six years later, this event has become, well, uneventful. Not seeing the signup on the main screen (because too much else is going on), game…

5 Omicrons We Deserve in 2024
As we close out the 2023 calendar year with a wonderful onslaught of new characters and features…well, we know we want more of course. A brief interlude to talk about Oathbreaker! I chose to go the route of poison in order to speed games along even if it means being a soft archenemy. Also fits the name of the format, as Ajani broke his oath. Have you tried this format with your playgroup/LGS?

Went to Commandfest Bellevue this weekend and had such an amazing time! Met and made some new friends, bumped into some content creators who were kind enough to stop and chat for a few minutes, and played some amazing games. Next year I’m totally going for the full weekend!!

What’s a creature type that should have its own tribal-based commander, but doesn’t? I’ll go first:
Skeleton.

My next build project!
I’ve been on a building kick lately if you all couldn’t tell. I discovered Dargo only recently, and saw huge potential for an aggressive commander build. Throw in as many 0-drop artifacts in your deck and it’s realistic to assume you can turn 1 a 7/5 trampling commander! Add in some double strike enablers and this deck will be a lightning-fast threat!
