I love this gimmick! Please do the lyrics to chattanooga choo choo (chosen because it was the most c/g rich thing i coild think of)
Pardon me boy, is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo?
Track twenty nine, boy you can gimme a shine
I can afford to board a Chattanooga Choo Choo
I've got my fare and just a trifle to spare
You leave the Pennsylvania station 'bout a quarter to four
Read a magazine and then you're in Baltimore
Dinner in the diner, nothing could be finer
Than to have your ham 'n' eggs in Carolina
When you hear the whistle blowin' eight to the bar
Then you know that Tennessee is not very far
Shovel all the coal in, gotta keep it rollin'
Woo, woo, Chattanooga, there you are
There's gonna be a certain party at the station
Satin and lace, I used to call funny face
She's gonna cry until I tell her that I'll never roam

Taking a little moment to appreciate just how diverse ivy leaves get.
These five leaves are all from the same vine.

loving reminder as valentine's day approaches to be careful of the type of flowers you give if your loved one has cats in the house. many common flowers are extremely toxic to cats. lilies, for example, can cause rapid kidney failure and death very quickly even with only a small amount of ingestion/exposure. the aspca has a resource to help you make sure your bouquets are kitty (and doggy and horsey) safe

I certainly haven’t listened to all of Taylor’s music and I’ll admit I don’t really listen to music all that deeply but I’ve listened to some of the songs that some claim are obviously “queer coded” and as a straight women I’m always left scratching my head as to what is so obviously “queer” about those songs. They make sense to me from a straight POV so surely that indicates its possible for them to have been written by a straight person? The songs that have female pronouns make sense as queer but the explanation that they are from the male POV also fits so…again possible to be written by a straight person. Also a good chunk of Taylor’s co-writers are men…so when people claim that a certain line could only have been written by a queer woman how do they really know the are quoting Taylor and not Jack Antonoff or Aaron Dessner or “William Bowery” or some other dude?
Is it possible that Taylor is queer and is sometimes writing about desiring women? Sure it’s possible but it’s also possible she’s straight and queer fans are projecting their own experiences/desires onto her lyrics. We are all guilty of projecting our own experiences onto the media we consume. It’s human nature. We all want our favs to be just like us.
For me I always go back to You Need To Calm Down, her deliberate “gay anthem” and that song just doesn’t come across like it was written by an actual member of the LGBT+ community to me. It comes across as a straight person pandering to the LGBT+ community. FFS she couldn’t even dedicate a whole song to the LGBT+ community, she just tacked on one verse to a song that is primarily about her petty internet beefs. It just boggles my mind how she got praised to the high heavens for that and for parading around with her “gay squad” for a minute, most of whom she hasn’t been seen with since…
