absolutely obsessed with the idea of the konoha girls being the core of the friend group. bc like the guys are friends, don't get them wrong, but if left up to them, they'd do that thing guys do where they think a head nod in the streets is enough friendship. but the girls? the girls bring the whole group together.

the war ends and tenten can't get out of bed for weeks on end? shino is there, as often as he can be, quiet and steady, with a soft "it'll be okay tenten-nee-san".

sakura has been taking back to back shifts at the hospital? chouji shows up with a nutritious lunch and shoulder to lean on

ino is running herself ragged trying to keep up with clan duties and T&I and the flower shop? naruto is there to pick up shifts at the flower shop so ino can rest a little

temari is having trouble navigating konoha's sprawling street set-up compared to suna's grid system? kiba and lee give a tour that ends up so legendary and generates so much paperwork that kakashi get stress headaches in june even years after he retires from being hokage

karui's having trouble fitting into konoha? enter sai who also doesn't know how to fit in and they bond over that

hinata can't sleep for years after the war? shika drags her out to the nara clan grounds to sleep by their sacred deer. it's the best she sleeps outside of naruto's arms

Boyfriend Sakura who has grown up and away from Makochi…

He’s calmed down heaps, carries a bit more muscle in his shoulders and only blushes at every other thing you say these days. He’s a stand-up boyfriend. He was taught well, but the most surprising thing is he doesn’t fight… Not really.

The days of him being in a gang are distant, he can’t even remember the last time he punched someone. There’s been no need. Since meeting you, his life has been content, calm: peaceful.

So, when you come home with bloody knuckles from socking a guy in a car park for being grabby, it’s a big fucking surprise when he starts to wash and dress your hands with an expertise you didn’t know he had.

And it’s even more of a surprise, when you find yourself in the same position the week after. Sakura’s cheek bone is bruised, but he looks well. There’s a glimmer in his eyes and a couple of scratches on his hands, but you don’t miss the glee in his voice when he tells you: ‘That guy won’t be bothering you anymore, don’t worry.’

I know we once said that Sakura & Sugishita on a double date would be too stressful for us BUT do you think there’s a date activity that could work for us 4 without ending in absolute madness? 😈

I’m giggling at the idea of asking Sakura and we have to go through a list of potential options ahead of time before we even plan anything. 😜

Honestly, I think mini golf would be tons of fun!! It lets everyone be a little silly and competitive. And then we can get ice cream afterwards! Even though they’d be trying to one up each other, I ultimately think they’d find they enjoyed each other’s company (much to their dismay lmao).

And Sakura is gushing about how good you are for Sugishita afterwards! He thinks you make him tolerable and easier to be around. 😂😂 He really enjoys your company, too and is already asking when we can hang out again (that he’d put up with Sugi, too cause maybe he was being too dramatic about it all).
