(updated) commission info
all money from commissions will go towards my homeless mutuals, not me. i don’t need the money, but she and her partner do. all payment will be made in USD and will have to be sent with confirmation from my mutuals before i begin working on the art. all the details will be below the cut. dm if interested!
what i AM willing to do:
animals (mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, simple insects)
most mythical and extinct animals
humans
anthro/furry
body horror
violence/gore
fanart
original characters
sfw ship art
standalone scenes/backgrounds
(if anything you’d like isn’t on this list, dm me and ask and i’ll let you know if i’m willing to do it!)
what i am NOT willing to do:
anything nsfw
anything hateful/promoting hate speech
pedophilic, incestuous, or non-consensual relationships
heavy mecha
heavy perspective
hyperrealism
i reserve the right to deny any commission for any reason - just don’t be weird and we’ll be fine
please provide references/a detailed description if you want anything specific! personality descriptions are very much appreciated if you’re getting a specific character so i can properly draw the pose/expression.
focal item/character
simple sketch — $7-12, additional $8 per extra character
Tumblr media
if you’d like simple and quick shading like on the first example here, let me know! also feel free to choose background and line colour (default is purple lines & grey or white background)
coloured sketch — $15-20, additional $10 per extra character
Tumblr media
the second image here would be somewhere around $35 for the shading, but i didn’t have many examples for this style lol
plain lineart — $16-30, additional $14 per extra character
Tumblr media
please specify the complexity you’d like by referencing the examples given here! again, feel free to choose line and background colour
reference sheet — $30-45
Tumblr media
please provide a detailed description of the character for this! picture references are best but i can 100% go off of descriptions as well, and please provide a description of their personality, character traits, etc
simple flat colour
headshot: $15-22
halfbody: $20-25
fullbody: $26-35
Tumblr media
for some reason i don’t have an example for headshot for this one but it’s essentially shoulders-up
complex flat colour
headshot: $30-36
halfbody: $35-42
fullbody: $40-50
Tumblr media
please note that the second example here has a complex background that would cost more, but just the main character itself would be around $40
shading
shading prices will be added on top of any of the above
simple shading — $15-45
Tumblr media
the fire in the second example here does count as simple shading and a very simple background so it wouldn’t be any extra money for a fire background like this one
complex shading — $50-90
Tumblr media
all of these prices are set with a presumed transparent, solid colour, or simple background. these are all free of charge.
backgrounds
all background prices are added onto existing focal item prices. standalone scenes and backgrounds without a focal item are the same prices as listed here.
simple backgrounds/flourishes — $10-20
Tumblr media
sorry for the reused pictures i don’t have a whole ton of examples
complex backgrounds — $25-75
Tumblr media
if you have any questions or would like to know what i’d charge for any of these examples here, send me a dm and i’ll answer as fast as i can! lots of detail in the descriptions of what you’d like is very appreciated, and feel free to correct me on anything you want different! dm me if interested!

my commissions are open!
so, i finally updated my kofi so it's accurate! might as well make a new post here. again.
you can order a commission thru kofi or dms on here or on discord! my discord is wretched_weevil.
only the add-on prices are negotiable. everything else is as is. add-ons include extra people and backgrounds.
what will i draw?
i'm best at drawing people! i can draw fat people and old people. i'll do OCs, characters, real people (with their permission), ships (including polycules), suggestive art, and gore (although i have the right to decide something is too gorey for me and decline the commission). i'm willing to draw furries, mechas, animals, and nsfw, but i'm not very good at those. i reserve the right to refuse any commission i do not want to do.
commission types & prices
quick cat drawing: $3
can also be a possum, since i can draw those fairly quickly. extra cats in one picture are $1 more. you can give me a reference photo or just have me draw whatever, they're both the same price!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one-color sketch: $10
can be a simple scene (like below) or a sketch. if you want a simple scene, you need to have a scene idea in mind. doesn't have to be detailed, just like, who's saying what.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
half-body colored - $20 (another person or a detailed background is an extra $10)
might be lightly shaded if it helps the drawing make more sense. other than that, expect flat colors. more complex poses than just standing might cost more money, but that will be established before the drawing is started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
full-body colored - $25 (another person or a detailed background is an extra $10)
more complex poses than just standing might cost more money, but that will be established before the drawing is started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
blorboboard - $30 (no extra charge for more than one person, although if it gets out of hand i may charge more).
you ever look at a tumblr post or meme and go "wow, that's so my blorbo!" ? well, for the low low price of ten bucks i will draw your blorbo saying or doing the funny thing. and also some other stuff.
i need a character (can be an OC), a description of their personality, and one or more memes/tumblr posts/etc. if you are commissioning an OC or something similar (like a blaseball player), please give me a visual reference! picrews are fine.
drawing on the left is a more accurate representation of what you'll receive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
payment methods
you can go thru my kofi, or discuss commission in dms and pay me with one of these:
venmo: wretchedweevil
cashapp: $wmd29
ask for paypal, because it shows my birth name and i don't want that on tumblr lol

hey i'm doing PWYW icon commissions for a bit while i try t get peepo to the vet 🥲✌️
icons, bc i dont have much time t do more complex pieces for money (MIGHT accept them on a case by case basis, ask). Minimum is US$15, which would get ya smn like a transparent headshot. obviously the more you pay the more you get (ie. more complex BGs, shading, alts??? feel free tell me what ya want). I'm capping it at US$40
takin' p4ypal n v3nmo. dm me if inch rested and/or reblog t spread da word 😎
here's my ko-fi as well if that's more your thing ! I offer doodles
will/wont draw n TOS under the cut
I can draw pretty much anything (humans/humanoids, animals/furries, object heads, fan art/characters, robots/mechs, etc.). but here's my list of no's:
× Strong Violence/Gore
Heavy injuries I can do, I just can't do blood/gut baths, it's not my strong suit
× Depictions of birds, bugs, or children in distress/pain
Anthro birds/bugs are fine, feral ones no
× Real People Fiction (RPF)
Real, established relationships are fine. Shit like Slushmello isn't
× Any sole piece with more than four characters
× Pedophilic/Incestual/Non-con relationships in any context
I don't care for your technicalities or whatever stupid arguments you have to justify these things. This is nonnegotiable.
× Overly complex subjects
I love drawing things like weaponry n mechs, however by overly complex I mean things with extensive color palettes and/or very intricate detail. If you're unsure if your design(s) is/are too complex, feel free to show it to me so I can gauge it myself
× Anything offensive or bigoted
this include N*zis or characters that look like they're inspired by them. I can't believe I have to say this
× Anything political
I don't consider LGBTQ+ stuff n human rights in general "political" so those are fine
× Fan art of certain fandoms/people as well as fan characters of said fandoms (ask)
This is not a fully comprehensive list, merely a list of exclusions based on topics that are popular or relevant to me. Just because something isn't on it doesn't mean I can't reject your commission. Please respect my boundaries.
× If you want to ask about something not specifically mentioned here or have other inquiries, don't hesitate to ask! ×
===
TERMS N’ STUFF
• If I approve your commission(s), communications will be done via DM or email; I'll give you the necessary information depending on your preferences.
• Payments will ONLY be accepted via P4yPal or V3nmo. Payments will be made via P4yPal invoice or V3nmo link*. You must pay everything upfront before any work can be done.
          □ I do not offer discounts of any kind, nor do I allow clients to haggle. All prices are firm unless otherwise stated.
          □ *I will admit that I am new to Venmo and am referencing an online guide on how to use it. Please excuse any goofs!
• I send WIPs in three to four stages: sketch, linework, color, and, if applicable, shading. You can request up to three changes in sketch or linework phases for free. After that, I will charge a 20% fee per change.
          □ If changes are requested due to my own mistake, that is forgetting/misinterpreting something shown on the references given, the fee will not apply.
• Major alterations will not be permitted after approving linework without a fee that is 20% of the commission's price including extras. Examples of major alterations include but are not limited to: drastic change in character's pose or expression, extras (you will be charged appropriately), and basically anything that will vastly change how the finished product looks.
          □ Slight tweaks such as altering colors, mild changes in position/expression, and minor anatomy/line art fixes will not require a fee unless they are constant in which case the 20% fee will also be applied.
• I will set up a separate document that details my commission queue; you will also see the status of your commission there.
• ETA should be no more than two weeks; of course, it can vary based on how life treats me. I have depression and hypotension, so that also affects how quickly I can work.
          □  I'm iffy about deadlines, but if it's reasonable, I'll do it. Note that commissions with deadlines may be subject to a rush fee depending on how quick you want it and how big my queue is.
• I will update everyone if a situation arises where commissions may be delayed. In extreme cases, you may be liable for a refund.
• If I am unable to complete a commission or you decide not to go with it before I send a sketch, you are entitled to a full refund. For any other circumstance, refunds will be partial, except in the case where the commission is complete, where which you will not be given one. This is non-negotiable.
□ You will not be allowed to use the art you ordered under any circumstance if you decide to go with the refund.
• ONLY THE CLIENT has the right to use the finished piece as they like non-commercially, but they must credit me.
          □ If you wish to repost the full piece to personal accounts, it must be the watermarked version, and, of course, there must be credit somewhere in the image description. This is to deter potential art theft.
          □ We can discuss commercial usage if desired; note that this will come with a 100%-300% price increase depending on how you want to use it.
□ I do not permit the use of any art I make for the creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), regardless of whether or not credit or royalties are given to me.
• I reserve the right to deny a commission for any reason even if it may follow the guidelines. Note that I do not have to explain the exact reasons why I do not wish to do business with you, and any misconduct that arises from this can and will get you blacklisted.
• If I feel as though you have breached the terms in any way and/or have failed to cooperate with me in a professional manner, I reserve the right to blacklist you from further transactions.
By commissioning me, you hereby agree that you have read and comprehended the terms that were just listed. If you find an issue with any part of these terms, do not commission me.

COMMISSION INFO:
How this works:
-Any Pre-Existing, "Owed"/Paid slots will get priority over these.
-No fees will be requested until at least the Sketch is complete.
-Full payment is to be sent after the sketch phase unless previously discussed.
-Tips are welcome and appreciated.
-I am a disabled artist with chronic pain. I ask that you be conscious of this when you commission me.
-My work time might be slower, but the less pressure I’m given to get something done, the more efficiently I can work to provide you with a piece that we are both proud of.
-Repeated attempts at pressuring me into completing your commission in a short span of time will result in a partial refund, and a block. (This does not apply to commissions taken with a deadline in mind.)
-I may choose to add a background or generally upgrade a slot, but backgrounds/upgrades CANNOT be requested unless previously discussed and paid for.
IF UNPAID:
-Upon delivery of the sketch, if you cannot pay right away, but you intend to at a later date PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
-If I don't receive a response within 2 weeks, I will find a way to "recycle" the work I've done.
-If you do not pay, you will not receive the art you've requested, and it will not be posted online.
-If you have unpaid art, I will not start a new piece for you until the previous debt has been resolved.
KEEP IN MIND:
-I will turn down any commission with subject matters or characters that I am not comfortable drawing.
-I reserve the right to turn down any commission at any time. (Including, but not limited to; commissions where the subject matter is not interesting or inspiring to me.)
-I reserve the right to charge extra in case of multiple revision requests.
- After the sketch has been completed and approved by the buyer, the only revisions allowed are revisions to colors during the painting process.
-In the case of me helping you design your OC, you MAY NOT use any of my designs in LARGE SCALE for-profit projects, such as videogames or films.
-You may not sell any design of mine for profit.
-You may not print my art or re-post my art on social media unless you’ve been given explicit permission.
FOR THE DESCRIPTION:
-if the pose you request is complicated or specific, it will take longer to draw
-if you don't have a ref sheet, your character will take longer to draw
-full "artistic freedom" may take longer to draw, so it's better to give me some kind of starting-point for these. You may provide multiple ideas or themes and I'll come up with something from there.
-Please provide as much information and as accurate of reference as possible. If I don't have enough information to work with I will probably skip your slot.
[NO] I will NOT draw-------------------------------------------------------
-any character under 18, or who appears to be under 18.
-anything related to pregnancy.
-"SFW KINKS" like inflation, vore, etc
-guns, cars, complex electronic or mechanical devices. (but I CAN draw robots or cyborg parts)
-nazi bullshit
-military/police uniforms from the past 300 years
-portraits of REAL people, as in humans who exist in the real world, including content creators such as Markiplier, Game Grumps, etc etc etc. (human/humanish characters/OCs are fine)
[PLEASE]
-Have reference images available. If it's too text-heavy, I may turn down the slot!
-if a character has tattoos, please have stand-alone ref for those designs if you want them drawn accurately.
-if a character has runes/symbols PLEASE PROVIDE THEIR NAMES/MEANINGS with sources (if there are any)
-Do not send me IRL photographs of any NSFW subject unless given permission to do so.
-Avoid [sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic] language in your descriptions
-If you do not speak fluent English, please let me know so I may better accommodate you.

I'm bored and have artist's block. I have things I could be working on, but here's a YCH instead This is primarily Wing of Fire, but I can make it non-WoF. When purchased, I will color it and add scales/spikes/anything else a character has, including accessories I Will Do: * Change horn/wing shape * Add scars/accessories * Slightly change the pose (i.e have one hand up) * Make a non-WoF dragon * Change the expression I Will NOT Do: * Any kind of NSFW/kink related imagery * Extreme or excessive gore. Small blood splatters and zombie-esque characters are fine, but I will draw a line for anything I feel is too much * Any kind offensive imagery * Drastically change the pose The base cost of a character with a simple background and no additions is 1$. The second image is an example of a simple piece with no additions Background Options * Simple background (i.e single color, gradient, simple pattern, or a flag design): No extra charge * Semi-complex background (i.e a field of grass or simple forest): 0.25$ * Complex background (i.e a city or intricate jungle): 0.50$ Pose/Expression Options * No changes: No extra charge * Expression change: 0.10$ * Pose change: 0.25$ Shading Options * No shading: No extra charge * Simple shading: 0.25$ * Complex shading: 0.50$ So that I can better gauge what everyone wants, please use this application so that I can best understand your requests Tribe(add n/a if not WoF): Gender: Reference of the character (if applicable, if not, describe the character): Background (specify what is wanted and the option it falls into): Pose/Expression changes: Shading:  If you guys end up liking this, I'll definitely do more!

Model and Year: The specific model and year of your MacBook Pro significantly impact the cost of display replacement. Newer models with advanced display technologies may incur higher expenses due to the incorporation of cutting-edge features.
Resolution and Size: The resolution and size of the replacement display play a role in determining costs. Higher resolutions and larger display sizes often come with a higher price tag, reflecting the increased manufacturing complexities and materials required.
Condition of the MacBook Pro: The overall condition of your MacBook Pro may impact the cost of display replacement. If there are additional issues or damage to internal components, addressing these alongside the display replacement may incur extra charges.
Warranty and Professional Service: Opting for authorized Apple service providers or seeking professional assistance can influence costs. Spudger Set: A spudger set is indispensable for gently prying open delicate connections, separating components, and navigating the internal structure of your MacBook Pro without causing damage.
Suction Cup: For MacBook Pro models with a glass screen, a suction cup provides a secure grip, facilitating the safe removal of the display without leaving unwanted marks or scratches.
Anti-Static Wrist Strap: Protect your MacBook Pro's delicate internals from electrostatic discharge by wearing an anti-static wrist strap. This ensures a safe working environment during the replacement process.
Pry Tools and Plastic Opening Picks: These tools aid in carefully opening the casing without causing damage. Plastic opening picks are particularly useful for navigating the edges and separating components.
Microfiber Cloth: Keep your workspace clean and free of debris with a microfiber cloth. This ensures a pristine environment for handling delicate components during the replacement process.
Tweezers: Precision tweezers are invaluable for handling small screws and components, especially in tight spaces. Choose tweezers with fine tips for optimal control.
Organizational Tools: Stay organized by using small containers or magnetic trays to store screws and components. Labeling each container ensures a smooth reassembly process.

Hi everyone!
I'm opening up three public commission slots for September! E-mail me @ [email protected] if you're interested in getting a commission!
1. $5+ will be charged for complexity -- details, unique material renders, etc.
2. Additional characters cost half original price. i.e. an additional character for full body and color would be $50.
3. Please have plenty of references readily available! The more references the better, face claims, poses, previous art, outfits, colors, and other distinguishing marks and features, etc.
4. Once I've accepted your commission you can either pay in full up front or pay half and pay the other half after you've received the initial sketch. If, for whatever reason, I am unable to finish your commission, you will be refunded in full. If not paid in full after the initial sketch I will not continue your commission until then. If you need time just let me know!
5. Turn around time is usually a few weeks, my goal is to finish every commission in the month I receive it!
6. Extreme revisions will cost extra.
These commissions are designed to be either no background or very simple backgrounds. I am not doing illustrations at this time because of how much energy and time they take to do--but I may offer them in the future!
What I will not draw:
Explicit sexual or violent content -- Casual nudity is fine. If you don't know what counts, ask!
I reserve the right to decline a commission for whatever reason, including my comfort or confidence on the topic/subject.

Hi Chekhov! Really enjoying your white diamond au! I had a quick art question: How do you start comissions? I've been improving my drawing skills and thinking about drawing for others after having fun in artfight, but I don't know where to start? How much to charge, how to get paid, etc. Do you have any tips? Hope you're doing well! :)
Alright, since a few people have asked, I’ve decided to put together a few things about how to get started on commissions - what you need, what you should make, and how to keep things organized.
This will get a little long, so I’ll divide it into 4 main sections:
1) Draw Art - Getting started
2) Get Commissioned - Making a commission sheet, Advertising
3) ??? - Communicating, Setting Limits, Running the Business
4) Profit - Pricing Yourself and Getting Paid
* Disclaimer: I’m an artist, so this How-To will be illustration-focused. I’m sure many of these tips can apply to ANY types of commissions, but I will be focusing on the type I know best. If you are proficient in other types of commissions for other types of art - music commissions, photography, etc - feel free to chime in and leave a comment or make your own tutorial!
Tumblr media
1) Draw Art
I think this is probably the most obvious part, but it needs to be said:
Before you start making art for other people, you must first be comfortable making art in general.
I’m not saying your art has to be Disney-quality, or industry-level! Not at all.
BUT! You must be comfortable creating what you sell. If you try to sell something you have little confidence in, you will stress yourself out and possibly end up losing time AND money.
Don’t shoot for the moon if you haven’t landed on it even once. Sell what you know you’re good at. Your commissions don’t HAVE to include full-body illustrations if you don’t know how to draw feet/solid stances. Limit yourself to what you can do.
Things you need to should probably have before starting commissions:
1. Access to art materials or a fully downloaded art program
DO NOT - Use a free tutorial version that will expire in a month and leave you without a way to draw! If you are having trouble finding a program, try free ones like MediBang Paint Pro.
2. Free time to complete the amount of commissions you want to take.
DO NOT - Take on or offer commissions if you KNOW you’re going to be overwhelmed with school or personal life for the next 2+ months. Pace yourself, otherwise you’ll burn out, get stressed, and get discouraged.
3. A reliable way to communicate with your customers like a commissions-only email
DO NOT - Use your friend/family/college email. It’s hard to keep track of things as it is, and creating new emails is easy and free. And keep it professional if you can! Not many people will reach out to dong-wiggles20434 to ask for a design. Ideally, your email should be close to your brand - however you want to brand yourself. Usernames are fine!)
DO NOT - Use Instagram/Twitter/Tumblr to collect commission info unless you are ready to do the organizing yourself. Some people make it work, but in my experience, if you use these SNS sites to communicate with friends and network... you’re going to be losing commission inquiries right and left and accidentally ignoring people. Email is much easier to organize and sort into folders.
4. A portfolio or at least 2-3 pieces of each type of art you’re planning to sell.
DO NOT - Advertise commissions without having any examples of the art you plan to sell. People will find it difficult to trust you if you can’t even give them a vague idea of what sort of drawing they’ll be getting.
Disclaimer: These are not hard ‘do not’s. If you have had a different experience, I respect that. I’m simplifying for the sake of streamlining this advice.
.
2) Get Commissioned
So - you have your art, you have your art program, and you’ve got all the time in the world. That means.... that’s right! It’s time to let the world know you’re taking commissions.
One of the most common ways artists signal to their audience that they can do commissions is by creating a commissions sheet. There are MANY ways to make this - and they range from simple and doodly ones to VERY complex designs. For example, here’s mine!
There are many ways to organize a commission sheet. At its core, a commission sheet should display the types of art you WANT to be commissioned to make. Let’s go over a few ways they can be done!
Tumblr media
#1.... Body Portion Dividers!
Tumblr media
This sheet is most common with those who want to capitalize on drawing people and characters. If you want to draw lots of characters, this is a great way to offer several tiers of pricing based on how much of their character your customers want to see.
#2... Complexity Scale
Tumblr media
If you’re open to drawing many things but want to base your pricing off of how complex something is, you can split your tiers into done-ness. This type of commission is popular with those that draw characters AND animals, furries, etc.
#3....  Style and Type
Tumblr media
If you’re more on the design side of things, or if you have various niche art styles that you can’t quite lump together, display a variety of your skills alongside each other! It helps if all the ones you have can be organized under a common customer - like those looking to advance their own business and get logos, websites, or mascots made for them!
.
3) ???
You got your first commission... what happens now???
Well, ideally you have the time, tools and motivation to make things happen! Now all you have to do is... sit down and... draw.......
I’m going to say something that may be a little controversial:
Commissions aren’t fun.
No, no, hear me out: I have fun doing commissions! I genuinely enjoy drawing characters and coming up with designs. But even with all that said, commissions are, first and foremost: WORK
I’m not saying this to discourage you, I’m saying this to keep things realistic. When I first began commissions, I thought it would be just like any other type of drawing. I would sit down, imagine a thing, draw it... it would be fun!
But then I realized that I couldn’t just draw what I wanted - another person had an idea in mind and had asked me to do it. I stressed over getting the design correct from descriptions. I stressed over not having the right reference for the pose the commissioner wanted. I stressed over not being able to draw the leg right in the way I had promised I would do. I stressed about billing. I stressed about digital money transfers. It was difficult, and time-consuming, and I did not enjoy it. At all.
Tumblr media
And a part of that is definitely on the commissioner - we, as artists, NEED to demand proper references or descriptions. We, as artists, NEED to limit the amount of changes we’re going to make at the flick of a finger. We NEED to demand clear instructions and set boundaries. That’s also super important.
But also - don’t be discouraged if you find yourself exhausted drawing your first commission. MANY artists go through this. Adjust your rules, fix up your limits, practice putting your foot down on finicky commissioners who expect you to read their mind! It does get easier, but you have to communicate and put in the effort and act as your own manager AND your own customer service AND your own accountant. That’s what you’re looking at.
Good limits and boundaries to set:
Limit the amount of changes a person can ask to make. “I want blue hair.” Next email: “No wait, yeah, make it red.” Next email: “Actually I changed my mind, can I get the blue but like, lighter?” Next email: “No, not that light.” ... At some point, we have to stop. I personally allow 2-3 changes on the final stages of a commission before I start refusing or start asking for extra money.
Demand clear instructions and/or references. If something isn’t described, you have to take artistic liberty and design it, but that’s difficult! And if the customer is not happy with it but can’t tell you more? That’s not your problem - the burden of reference is on THEM. You cannot read their mind, and that’s not your fault.
Get at least half the payment up front! This is a good balance between the ‘pay before art’ and the ‘pay after art’ conundrum that will limit the amount of woes between artist and customer. (I’ll touch upon this a little more in the Profit section.)
Organization:
Where possible, create good habits! Tag your emails and organize your folders. I have a tag on my emails for active and finished commissions. I also keep my emails on Unread until I have time to sit down and properly look at/reply to them.
My Commissions in the folder are also organized chronologically and I mark down which ones are paid and which ones are not.
Tumblr media
(I understand not everyone can do this, but if you want to give it a try, it does make things easier in the long run. Again, this advice is just what I have found personally helps.)
One last thing - I do not want to shame ANYONE for taking their time with commissions! Commissions are complex, and they take time and work. You can draw in 8 hours, but some things take research, materials, etc. Some illustrations realistically take up to half a year, or, depending on what’s involved, several years!!
THAT BEING SAID - it’s good manners to be upfront with your customers about how long you expect the commission to take. If you think you’re busy, just say that! Explain that you have a lot going on, and you will probably take (insert time period here).
And if your commissioners are worried, work out a system to keep them updated! I send my commissioners updates when I finish the lineart/flat colors/etc and I try to be clear about how long everything will take. I try to estimate with a +3-5 days buffer to give myself extra time... and recently I’ve been using it. Always say a bigger number than you think you’ll need.
If someone wants a rushed commission... make them pay more. If ANYONE wants a commission done ‘by the end of the week’ - that’s an automatic rush-job for me because I’m juggling an irl job and several commissions at once. I WILL charge a rush fee and I won’t feel bad about it.
If someone wants a commission within 24 hours...... Well, they better be paying you 3x your normal amount, or more. And remember - you CAN refuse! It’s perfectly reasonable to say ‘No, sorry, that sort of turnaround time is not realistic for me.’
Food For Thought - Invoicing
Many artists I’ve commissioned in the past have not used Invoicing, but I’ve recently begun to fill out invoices and file them in my Commissions folder just to keep track of things. It’s not necessary until you start getting into the Small Business side of Freelancing, but it’s not a bad idea to get into the habit early in case you might need to do it later for tax purposes.
Here’s what my Invoice looks like, for example.
Tumblr media
I’ve optimized it to help me remember who, what, and how much is involved! It also contains important info for my customers like where to send the money.
Which brings us to...
.
4) Profit
One of the hardest things for artists is pricing themselves. I’m not going to tell you which way is BEST - there is no BEST way, only the best way for YOU.
One of the options available to you is pricing by the hour. It includes averaging out how long it takes you to draw a specific type of art (whatever you’re offering as a commission) and multiplying that by an hourly wage you’ve decided on.
Tumblr media
When you do this, I stress - do NOT price yourself below minimum wage if you can help it. When you first start out, aim for the $15/hour mark and adjust accordingly.
Other ways to price your art:
- Per complexity: Portraits vs full body should be scaled based on how difficult you find one vs. the other. You can also easily decide on a price for a sketch and double it for lineart, triple it for full color, etc.
- Per type: Look up for industry prices for website design and logo design. They may surprise you! You don’t have to charge that much, but it helps to keep things in perspective.
It’s okay to change your prices! Keep your commission sheet image handy so you can update the amounts as you grow. :)
Payment up front or after completion?
Some artist take full payment up front. Some only demand payment after they’ve finished and sent out the piece. I personally think these are both risky for everyone involved.
I recommend doing at least HALF of the payment BEFORE you start the commission. Calculate your full price and ask for half before you start working on it in earnest, to make sure the person can actually pay you. Then, when they receive the full piece and are satisfied, they can complete the payment.
I personally work in this structure:
> Someone emails me with their idea/reference
> I send back a rough draft sketch that shows the idea/pose (only takes me 10-20 minutes so not a huge loss if they ghost) and quote them a price
> They can pay the full thing upfront OR pay half
> I finish the commission and send updates when I do the lineart/colors to double check anything so they have multiple chances to spot any errors
> If the person paid only half on completion, I send them a low-res version of the finished thing, they finish up their payment and THEN I send them the full-res version plus any other filetypes/CYMK proofs, etc.
Many of the people who commission me pay me up front even though I offer they pay half - and I’m really flattered that they trust me that much! Because of that, I feel encouraged to update them frequently and ask for their input as I work, so they have the peace of mind knowing I’m actually doing their commission.
Great, but how do I get PAID????
There are NUMEROUS ways - these days money is relatively easy to transfer over digital means, and you have a few options.
Tumblr media
Paypal is perhaps one of the oldest digital wallets and is geared towards businesses. By setting up a PayPal and connecting it to your debit card of bank account, you can tunnel a pathway from your online business directly into your hands in a matter of days.
Paypal also offers Invoicing - you make an invoice, price it and send it to the person’s email and they can pay whatever way they need! (It also allows partial payments.)
Pros: transfers from PayPal to bank account are free, and take a couple of business days. It also has no upper limit to the amount of money you can move in/out each month. It can force refunds due to the nature of its business-oriented payment system.
Cons: Because it’s used by businesses for larger transactions, PayPal may demand a more rigorous proof of your identity. It may also take longer to set up and be harder to get used to. I’ve also heard that they can be a hassle when it comes to closing your account.
Tumblr media
Venmo is another type of digital wallet that acts much like paypal, except for a few key differences - it is NOT made for businesses (so depending on whether you’re officially registered as a freelancer, you may not be able to use it). I personally don’t use venmo, so I cannot speak to its usefulness, but I know a few people that use it for casual transactions. It’s easy and quick! :)
Keep in mind that you cannot force a refund over venmo! The transactions are final.
There’s also CashApp, GooglePay (which could load gift cards but also allows peer-to-peer transactions) and I’ve heard good things about Due, though I’ve never personally used it.
Other ways to pay: I’ve had people pay me over Patreon by upping their pledge, and I’ve had people pay me over Ko-Fi by donating a specific amount.
Many people even use Etsy - the website specialized for independent small businesses selling art - by listing their commission sheet and offering up several ‘slots’ of commissions, which allows you to track taxes AND allows your clients to pay using whatever they feel comfortable with.
If you’re in Canada, you can even pay by emailing money directly from bank account to bank account - check whether your country offers this type of service! There’s no shortage of ways to move money in the digital world.
Just like everything else, there’s no singular ‘Best’ way. It just depends on what works for you.
I think that just about wraps it up! I can’t quite think of what else to put here - but I’m sure other artists will chime in with their own advice. :) I’m very sorry this became so long but I hope it was helpful!
Obligatory Disclaimer: I’m not qualified to give legal or accounting counsel. Please double-check the laws in your own country/state in regards to taxation of freelancing work and do your own research. If you are underage, DEFINITELY get an adult’s permission before you start doing commissions, and have the adult help you through the process.

Commissions: OPEN.
Slots:
1. FILLED (2/4)
2. OPEN
3. OPEN
These are base prices*
*Additional costs may be added for extras such as: props/weapons, complex armor/outfits, wings etc. so please keep this in mind!
I have two styles of rendering: see examples of type 1 [here] [here], type 2 [here] [here]
Since I’m coming to the end of university, and with the pandemic well underway, art is my only source of income now, henceforth these will be my prices from now on. They are minimum wage for my age group, so forgive the increase but I have to survive somehow!
Commission information below - please read!
1) Email me at [email protected] and briefly describe what you’d like to commission. eg. “Hi, I’d like to commission my DND Elf OC swinging a sword, waist up, full colour.” Note: I have the right to decline your commission, it’s nothing personal!
2) Once I’ve accepted your commission, please send all references, including pose idea, face-claims, screenshots, art, clothing etc. and any other information I may need to know, including your paypal email.
3) I will send you an invoice via Paypal (Note: There is a $5 invoice charge since Paypal deducts money from me to use it’s services). Payment is upfront, unless it’s over $100, you can request to pay half upfront and half once the sketch has been completed. I won’t start the commission until payment is received. If by chance I cannot complete your commission for any reason, you will be refunded in full.
4) I will send you the sketch to review, major changes can be made at this stage, if you’re happy we can continue into colour. Only minor revisions/edits can be made after completion.
5) Extreme turnaround time will be up to 1 month, it’s highly unlikely this will be the case, but I am doing these alongside my masters degree and want to give you the best work I can produce!
Other info:
- I will not draw sexual content. Casual nudity, however is fine, as long as you are over the age of 18. If you are unsure, please ask.
- I will not draw extreme gore. Mild gore is fine, such as bruising, cuts and blood.
- I will not draw furry or mecha.
- I cannot reserve you a slot I’m afraid, so please be fully ready before you contact me. I can create a wait-list and contact you once a slot opens.
Thank you for reading! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask, I don’t bite :D

EDIT: we fixed the insurance issue! we didn't think we could but they're going to give us all the money back. i'm still taking commissions, but it is no longer an emergency.
**Note:** this is a new commission sheet. i have deleted the old one, as i needed to change the prices. everyone who ordered a commission BEFORE this was posted will be charged the original price.
commission types and prices
quick cat drawing: $3
can also be a possum, since i can draw those fairly quickly. extra cats in one picture are $1 more. you can give me a reference photo or just have me draw whatever, they're both the same price
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one-color sketch: $7 for a person, $9 for a scene
can be a simple scene (like below) or a sketch. if you want a simple scene, you need to have a scene idea in mind. doesn't have to be detailed, just like, who's saying what.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
half-body uncolored - $10 (no up to date refs because i very rarely just do lineart)
half-body colored - $15
might be lightly shaded if it helps the drawing make more sense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
blorboboard - $15
you ever look at a tumblr post or meme and go "wow, that's so my blorbo!" ? well, for the low low price of ten bucks i will draw your blorbo saying or doing the funny thing. and also some other stuff.
i need a character (can be an OC), a description of their personality, and one or more memes/tumblr posts/etc. if you are commissioning an OC or something similar (like a blaseball player), please give me a visual reference! picrews are fine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
full-body uncolored - $18 (again, no refs because i very rarely just do lineart)
full-body colored - $20
will come with a simple color background. more complex poses than just standing might cost more money, but that will be established before the drawing is started
Tumblr media Tumblr media
to order, you can dm me on here or on discord
payment methods
paypal won't work for me for some reason, so payment via kofi has been disabled. if you know of any websites like kofi that take things besides paypal, please let me know!

The Bros Visit the Human World
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
You bring the bros to the human world for a little get-away and they develop some interesting habits.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Lucifer
He’s the restless one that doesn’t sleep well. It takes a night or two to get comfortable and sleep normally.
Lucifer will probably be the first one up. Not only out of habit, but you’re in the human world so he’ll see the sun again
Being away from Diavolo and the responsibilities actually makes him seem like a stranger. Everyone forgets who he is outside of that because he’s so dedicated.
If you’re around a lot of nature, he’ll just casually stroll around. Almost like he’s forgotten what grass, trees, and flowers look like. He loves to spend time in the sun and just breathe the air.
Have pets? He’s partial to cats and well-behaved dogs.
Surprisingly, he’ll be the type to chase birds off of anything half-wounded or put birds back into their nests
At some point you’ll find him on the roof, wings out and sunning
Take him to livestock stores or somewhere like Tractor Supply Co. and he’ll be super tempted to smuggle a baby chick out in his pocket.
Loathes most human TV. Can’t bring himself to be interested until you bust out bible-history related documentaries. If he finds one he’ll take control of the TV, watch it all, and rip it to pieces.
Kind of develops a complex about it. “What would these humans know?! They’ve only been around for, what, forty years? Try five thousand!”
Take him by the coffee shops or smoothie shops to try decadent treats! He secretly likes them!
Mammon
Sleeps easier than Lucifer but has a tough time because the noises are different
If you have an open field or bigger back yard, his favorite thing to do is stand there and watch birds come to him. It surprises him that he can summon more than crows
Boy will definitely throw on a sunhat (or some cool glasses) and ask you what you feed birds around your place. Stands out in your yard throwing bird seed like the birds are starving and he’s got a million bags.
The type to fight squirrels and chase them out of your yard or away from feeders because “It’s not FOR you!”
If you live somewhere more laid-back he’ll feel very restless. He’s drawn to bigger, busier places.
IMMEDIATELY asks you about restaurants and things to do (”What’cha got? What’s good? Anything fun around here?”)
Gets super frustrated by shows like Storage Wars but it eerily good at appraising the value of stuff at a glance. Often guesses the real value of the objects
Show him Antique Roadshow. He’ll LOSE. HIS. SHIT.
He’ll ask to go by places like pawn shops and jewelers to just look at the different things humans trade or want to save up for. Can probably get discounts on the stuff.
Bring this guy when shopping for jewelry. He has an innate gift for appraising and can see flaws. He knows when you’re being played.
Want to be a little mean? Get those chocolate treasure chest coins and give one to Beel first. Mammon might just have a heart attack.
Definitely goes on a rant about how making chocolate money is wrong. (”Why make a currency you can’t spend?!”)
Make the visit special by getting some type of matching jewelry--earrings, rings, necklaces--and he’ll wear it around.
Take him by pet stores where they’ll let the birds out of cages, he’ll make kissy noises and love on all of them. Will definitely try to smuggle one out.
He’ll spend whole days in parks when he realizes you can park it on a bench and feed birds. Birds that don’t always get food!
Don’t show him water fountains. He doesn’t get the concept of people tossing coins in and will definitely try to take them by posing as a cleaner or something
Taking him by a museum is a 50/50 gamble. He’s genuinely interested in the displays and setup but might try to steal something
Do you have a way to watch The Road to El Dorado? Show it to Mammon. He’ll love it.
Leviathan
Unless you live by some cute cafes, comic book stores, or video game retailers he probably won’t do much on his visit
Do you have a pool? He changed his mind. Might gripe about the chlorine messing with his skin though.
If you only have access to a community pool he refuses to do anything with it
Take him to the beach if you live near one. He’ll ALWAYS go for ocean water!
Because the Devildom is the Devildom, I bet they don’t have Ghibli movies. Maybe they have knock-offs, or they’re considered rare because they’re human world related, but have a Ghibli marathon with him! He’ll love it! It won’t be Ruri-chan levels of love, but he’ll stan and want to buy some stuff
Can you make boba tea at home or swing by a coffee shop that makes a close substitute? Take him! He’ll like it! Levi may complain about it not being authentic but he’ll secretly appreciate it
He likes savory food and junk food so take him by a dollar store and get some cheap chips and sodas. It’ll be interesting to try. Maybe he can make a Deviltube video about trying human food!
Levi also strikes me as someone who would like nachos, so maybe grab him some nachos!
Do they know about the Doritos and Mountain Dew thing in the Devildom? He might want those. (”Look, I’m like the human gamers!”)
Levi runs a little colder than his brothers (by Devildom standards) so take him around to feel on blankets and maybe get one to take back to the Devildom.
Satan
Has a great love for books (obviously) and a great disdain for Devildom bookstores that charge an arm and a leg for human finds. TAKE HIM BY BOOKSTORES AND LET HIM LIVE IN HIS NATURAL ENVIRONMENT!
The type to bring an extra suitcase just for books
Is actually quite a homebody because he has no connections in the human world (besides you), so he’s fine to sit and read his new finds.
Do you have books at home? What are your favorites? He’ll read them, too, while he’s here
Show him some kind of crime channel or crime YouTuber and he’s 100% obsessed. Binges them like Netflix
Will wave you over and demand you sit, tangling your legs together as you lean back and speculate on who the murder is and what happens since most of those TV episodes are an hour long
Loves anything psychological-based. Wants to understand why people do things and how they work. Show things like Criminal Minds and Mind Games. He’ll be SUPER interested.
Do you have cats? You’ll see Satan whispering them and holding them against his shoulder. He’s in love and might be planning to steal your cat.
Taking him by animal shelters makes him a little sad but he’ll be glad to play with all the cats at one time.
Don’t tell him that, to most humans, Lucifer and Satan are the same figure in the Bible. He just might lose his shit.
Does your town have history/mystery tours? Take him! It’s a two-in-one and he loves it! History and culture, mystery and crime!
Show Satan Cinderella. He’ll get the BIGGEST laugh out of the cat being called Lucifer.
Asmodeus
Like Mammon, will ask you about aesthetic places and things to do
In a rare moment of not hating Mammon, the two will gossip at the jewelry stores and be really critical. Mammon stops Asmo from making bad purchases
Show him around some makeup stores! He’d LOVE to see human products!
If you take him by ANY store with clothes, he will look, pick, feel, analyze, and try things on for the hell of it. It will be an all-day thing
Human fashion takes off more than he expected on the Devilgram, so he’ll buy a few things.
When he realizes makeup stores give free makeovers, he’ll use that to his advantage. Especially by charming people
Goes on a small kick of charming people to get what he wants because Lucifer only ever told him he couldn’t do it to YOU. It’s a new level of fawning and attention and he eats it up
If he sees a cute Starbucks drink on TV, he wants it.
If you show him Pinterest or Instagram, he’s glued to a device and saving things.
By the time everyone goes back to the Devildom he has a tiny notebook full of ideas and details--ways to recreate it in the Devildom
Gets several modeling offers and you (or one of the bros) has to pull him away, It’s not happening.
Unexpectedly into unboxing videos and calligraphy. Lives for pretty hand writing and is fascinated by bullet journaling even though he’s too lazy to maintain one
Show him soap operas/dramas and celebrity entertainment channels. He won’t know what to believe.
If he sees shows like Jerry Springer, Maury, Jeremy Kyle, or Judge Judy he live-streams them like ‘can you believe what crazy things happen in the human world?!’
Beelzebub
The dollar store is his heaven! ALL THIS FOOD FOR A DOLLAR?!
I personally think that human food is less calorically dense so he’ll need to eat a lot. Take him by fast food places that have cheap dollar menus or five dollar deals
If you go to a restaurant with a ‘finish in ‘x’ amount of a minutes and it’s free!’ do it. He’ll set a record
Beel learns about all you can eat buffets and gives you puppy eyes until you take him to one. At least you’ll get your money’s worth!
Don’t take him by a real grocery store. He’ll bankrupt you. Or eat all the free samples.
He’s interested in cooking shows but if he watches them you’ll have to clean up a lot of drool, give him something to eat while he’s watching, or stop him from absently grabbing the closest thing and trying to eat it
Is super into renovation shows and technical shows where people work with their hands. It’s like sports of the mind.
Not as interested in watching American football because he’ll critique it too much. Any other sport, he’ll find it interesting and want to know how it works.
Show him old Olympic footage. He’s surprised at the variety of sports and will watch the whole thing
Will also enjoy Ghibli movies. How do they make food look like that?!
This boy is a Disney princess in a demon body. If he sees any critters while he’s out and about (ANY), he’ll want to try and feed it or pet it
Bugs are drawn to him. He especially likes caterpillars and butterflies.
Beel likes to hunt for ladybugs.
Likes to “donate” to ant hills and watch them work,
Likes to watch nature documentaries about different animals
If you take him to the zoo, he’ll marvel at the different animals. Wants to wrestle a tiger and the bigger animals to see if he’ll win. It looks “fun.”
Belphegor
When he hears about mattress stores, that’s his thing. That’s what he wants you to do together. Belphie will literally lay on as many mattresses as possible and judge them
He may not have a hard time sleeping as long as he has his favorite pillow, but, for kicks, show him ASMR. Beel’s not the only one who drools!
Will definitely fall asleep outside in the sun. Any place is a good place for a nap, and to look up and see clouds is special
Spend a night outside under the human sky. It’s constellations and things he only ever gets to see in the star room
Will watch just about anything on TV. He’ll say he doesn’t have a preference but he likes those happy, soft movies that have gentle endings where everything turns out okay. Actually cries a little.
If he learns what Snorlax is from Pokemon, he’ll want one. A big Snorlax plushy to cuddle and sleep on/with!
If he hears the word “demon” uttered on TV he’s instantly hooked. What stupid thing do these humans think? THAT’S their version of a demon?!
Can you take him to see real cows? He’d really like that.
The type to make flower chains in the grass because he’s bored. Gives his first one to Beel and falls asleep before he can make another one.
Loves milkshakes unironically. Will slink out of bed and come along on any errands/brother outings if he can get one out of you.

I’ve been promising to do this for ages but here’s my updated commission sheet! Screen reader-friendly/”I can’t read your handwriting QV” version under the cut
Prices:
Bust Sketch: $15
Waist-up Sketch: $20
Full Body Sketch: $25
Colored Bust: $25
Colored Waist-up: $30
Colored Full Body: $35
Reference Sheet (includes two figures and a detail shot or three figures): $80
I'll draw you a weird horse: $5 (weird horse included free on purchases of over $50)
Additional Charges:
Complex Character Designs: $5
Difficult Poses: $5
Major Revisions: $5
Complex Props: $10
Intricate Patterns/Textures: $10
Additional Characters: Same as base price
Revision Policy:
After we've decided on a price, I generally like to send over one very rough sketch to confirm that I'm on the right track with pose/composition/expression and so on, at which point extensive revisions can be made at no penalty to you. I'll keep sending progress sketches after this, but at this point any revisions that require me to redraw more than half the piece will cost an extra $5, so make sure we're on the same page before then.
Payment:
I accept payment through Paypal. I like to be paid at least half of the price up front, but the rest can be saved until after I deliver a finished piece. If something prevents me from completing your commission, or if you change your mind before I send any sketches, I’ll refund all but $5 dollars of your initial payment.
Can I repost things I commission from you on my blog/use them as icons?
I actually encourage it! Just be sure to link back to my tumblr or to my commissions page.
Can I finish your sketches/pay another artist to finish your sketches?
Sure! Just be sure to credit both me and them when you post the finished piece.
What I Will Draw
I'm generally good with:
Humans (I'll draw fictional characters, OCs, celebrities, you, your grandma, etc.)
Furries and Anthros
Animals
Nudity/Mild sexual content (Pinups and softcore stuff are okay!)
Mild injury (Bloody noses, superficial cuts, bruises, etc.)
What I Won't Draw
I'm generally not okay with:
Real people in sexual or romantic contexts unless I have the explicit consent of the involved parties (This includes actors as themselves (as opposed to their characters), youtubers, your ex, etc.)
Cars or similarly mechanical/inorganic-looking things (characters like Nick Valentine from Fallout 4 or Raiden from Metal Gear Solid are fine, though)
Explicit sexual content (Poses where the genitals are the focus of the image)
Non-consensual sex
Gore (disembowelment, dismemberment, etc.)
There are exceptions to both of the above categories, so if you're unsure about where your request stands, feel free to ask! I reserve the right to deny any request, but I promise the worst that'll happen is I say no. Depending on what you're asking for, I might even be able to point you at an artist more suited to your needs.
