It’s been 5 years since Steven Universe Future came to an end. And now everyone wants a revival of the show. So I hope for a sequel series focusing on Steven and Connie. And to make a theatrical feature film about them going to Beach City for a summer vacation and to get married with the gems mistaking it for a welcome home party and some old arch villains are returning to vow revenge on Steven and the others.

Connie is asking Steven if he is ready to fuse. I'm assuming Stevonnie would wear something like what Garnet wore when she got fused, like a fusion of the brides dress and the groom's suit

Guys I just LOVE LOVE the concept of Steven in a dress. I GET CUTE AGGRESSION OR WHATEVER IT'S CALLED. I LOVE STEVEN IN DRESSES!!!!!!

Also since I was gonna draw Steven in a dress might as well draw Connie in a suit. Muwahaha I'm so smart fr

Currently listening to SU songs while I draw. Ahhh so heartbreaking I loved this show (and still do) ahhhh

I'm not the first to mention this, but one bit that I thought was really clever in Steven Universe is the ways in which the show subtly justifies the cartoonism of the principle cast always wearing the same outfit for ease-of-animation purposes. The gems are a gimme in that they're all hardlight-projections, and even before that's solidified as a plot point they're otherworldly and superheroic enough that you don't really think to question it. But Steven canonically just owns hundreds and hundreds of those star shirts, which are leftover merchandise from his father's fizzled-out career as a rock star. Into which you can read a whole bunch of other stuff if you really want to, right? And I do want to. It's reflective of Greg's misplaced optimism that he got hundreds of those made in the first place, and it's a benign but visible example of how Steven's life is shaped by the knock-on effects of decisions his parents made before he was even alive. He's got his mother's superpowers and he's wearing his father's shirts.

If Steven Universe ever returned, what is it that you want to see? Would you like a series that explores on different characters in different episodes? Much like Adventure Time in the later seasons or maybe a prequel series that explores more of the Diamonds backstory?

I've always said this is what my idea is and this Ask was my excuse to draw it finally 😂

Steven falling for every single tourist trap on his road trip without losing even an ounce of enthusiasm for any of them seems like a very Steven thing to me.

My post for the idea for a Steven Universe feature film got five hundred views on Instagram. I hope I will go over to Los Angeles California and get it made. And we will see Steven and Connie as young adults and get married on their summer vacation in Beach City.
