SAS Rogue Heroes - Season 1 Episode 3

Filming begins on SAS Rogue Heroes series two, as new and returning cast are announced

Spring, 1943. With David Stirling captured and Paddy Mayne now in charge of the SAS, their attention must turn from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe. But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a new unit and a surprise arrival make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remains essential to the war, wherever it may lead them?

Jack O’Connell returns as Paddy Mayne, alongside Connor Swindells as David Stirling, Sofia Boutella as Eve Mansour, and Dominic West as Dudley Clarke. Gwilym Lee (The Great, Bohemian Rhapsody) joins SAS Rogue Heroes for series two to play Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment, while Con O’Neill (Happy Valley, Our Flag Means Death) will play General Montgomery.

Also strapping on their boots to return for series two are Theo Barklem-Biggs as Reg Seekings, Corin Silva as Jim Almonds, Jacob Ifan as Pat Riley, Jacob McCarthy as Johnny Cooper, Stuart Campbell as Bill Fraser, and Bobby Schofield as Dave Kershaw. They will serve alongside new recruits Mark Rowley (The Last Kingdom, The North Water) and Jack Barton (Heartstopper, War of the Worlds), who will play SAS members Jock McDiarmid and John Tonkin respectively.

Further new cast members for series two include Paolo De Vita (Anonymous, La Grande Guerra del Salento), Anna Manuelli (Blocco 181, Pezzi unici), Edward Bennett (Industry, Save Me Too) and Matteo Franco.

Don’t imagine the SAS in highschool, dont do it, DON’T-! ........I did it.

The principal's son David Stirling who wants to live up to the family name but struggles in school.

And his rowdy crush Eve.

Paddy is flying in and out of juvie more frequently than he is shagging his long-haired boyfriend.

And Augustin is not too happy about either of those things.

This is the second time Dave gets busted while smoking weed by the dumpsters.

SAS Rogue Heroes (2022-)

🎬During World War II, eccentric young officer David Stirling is hospitalised in Cairo after a training exercise accident. Bored, he starts thinking that the accepted war methods are wrong and hits on a radical plan. He fights for permission to recruit the toughest, boldest and brightest soldiers for a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines. More rebels than soldiers, Stirling's team are every bit as complicated, flawed and reckless as they are astonishingly brave and heroic.

✍️ A really interesting and good TV show. The only thing I did not like about it was the modern music because it just didn't go with the overall time period, however, I suppose the makers used it to portray the adrenaline fuelled missions of the men and if you think of the music showing that, then it makes sense. It is based on a true story about how the famed SAS came to be (for more indepth coverage, the book (same name) is recommended). Check it out.

P.S. Jack O'Connell could make a good James Bond!

All that t*rture in the dungeons, Ruhn’s piercing and tattoos. Baxian’s tattoo. The wings. “How strong is your bite?” Sarahhhhh!!!!! Stop! That was more than I could handle😫

The Middengard Wyrm😖. Nesta dealt with it brilliantly but it just makes you appreciate how impossible it was that human Feyre managed to kill this thing by herself with no decent weapons.
