Today, 570 years ago, Ottoman Janissaries poured over the Theodosian Walls. The Genoese fled when their leader, Giovanni Giustiniani, was injured. The Emperor threw himself into the hopeless struggle & died with his men. After over 2,000 years, the Roman Empire was no more.

Note
I have no idea what you are doing Invader, but, I trust you. I hope you will accept our support though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you began feeding your own mana as well as joining with KUKULKAN, her light filling up the hospital room, you found your focus wavering.
You saw flashes of events.
Tumblr media
RIDER opting to secede from the Red Faction in order to search for AVENGER- and ostensibly you. A discussion between two Emperors. SABER granting that request, fairly yet reluctantly. Being confronted by CASTER several days into the journey. The desperate trigger of a defensive Noble Phantasm. Agony. The severing of a contract. The double-sided sword of having incredible fortitude- excruciating pain yet survival nonetheless. A hooded figure carrying him to a hospital. Darkness. A gnawing feeling. His personal mana running out, his Spirit Core trying to eat him alive. His mana had run out a long time ago- he was holding on through sheer willpower. Brief relief. A figure in black medical clothing setting up a new mana supply- temporary, but effective. Days passed, in a nigh-comatose state. Unfit for an Emperor, for a Servant. Frustration. Shame. Anger. A swirl of emotions, as day after day he tried to struggle out of the hospital bed- only making it as far as the door before falling unconscious again and again.
And--
[ NEW CONTRACT ESTABLISHED. ]
A bond.
Despite skepticism, a sense of belief. Faith, perhaps.
The same heart that you witnessed back on the waterside.
Tumblr media
[ SERVANT - RIDER. TRUE NAME... "Constantine XI Dragases Palaiologos" ]
RIDER--no, CONSTANTINE snapped awake.
Tumblr media
"Saber! We need to-- the Red Faction--… I need to get back to Saber!"
KUKULKAN put a hand on his shoulder, gently stroking it to calm him down.
"Shh. You're here-- you're fine…"
Tumblr media
"Sorry for worrying you..."
As he was being comforted, you felt a new tether. It seemed as if your contract was renewed, but… different.
After all, you could only supply the same amount of mana, and now it was being divided between KUKULKAN and CONSTANTINE, which meant that dealing with combat would be different. Sure, T-Summoning was an option but--
Tumblr media
Before you had much time to think, you could sense a shift in the mana in the room. You quickly turned to face the DOCTOR, who was trembling, the air around him beginning to twist and distort.
Tumblr media
"Doctor…?"
CONSTANTINE asked weakly, KUKULKAN stepped in front of him.
"This is what he meant. I didn't realize it'd impact him so quickly. Maybe it was a proximity thing...? Well, anyways- get ready, Masters!"
It seemed like the new aggression was a bit outside of KUKULKAN's expectations... however, that became secondary to survival as the DOCTOR let out a violent roar.
A harsh wave of mana rocketed out. There was barely any time to react as KUKULKAN and CONSTANTINE went flying.
You saw the DOCTOR step out of the broken wall that the two Interloper Servants had fumbled through, his form changed, a divine glow around him.
Tumblr media
"My name is Asclepius, the God of Medicine. Foul harbingers bearing the chaos of Phobos and raze the Solar Cell of life the hands of Hades, I will hereby destroy you! Begone, Interlopers!"
[ Both KUKULKAN and CONSTANTINE avoided taking damage! ]
Tumblr media
"Damn... did something go wrong with my technique...?"
KUKULKAN's- and your action were a success- and it gave her enough time to recover.
Both KUKULKAN and CONSTANTINE were flung into the main room of the laboratory, the two of them pushing themselves up to their feet and drawing their weapons- CONSTANTINE unsheathing his sword as KUKULKAN's fists sparked with mana.
With two Servants, your battle strategy has changed! You can only have enough mana to fully support one as a 'leader'- who takes point during battles. They perform actions as normal, dealing damage- but also taking the full brunt of damage (unless the enemy has a unique multi-hitting skill)! However, the other Servants in your party (up to 2 extras) act as 'auxiliary'! Auxiliary Servants can be triggered for T-Summons, and do a number of 'support skills' (generally at the cost of mana) to keep the battle in your favor! The amount of Servants you can contract can be as high as you want, but has to have a Leader and two Auxiliary Servants when traveling around. You can edit around your 'party layout' while resting. Either have a large group of allies, or a small, elite battle force- your choice!
Statistics (KUKULKAN) - LEADER:
Strength: C Endurance: C Agility: B Mana: EX Luck: A NP: B++ Current Health: 3/7 Current Mana: 11/13
Statistics (CONSTANTINE) - AUXILIARY:
Strength: C Endurance: A Agility: C Mana: D Luck: C NP: EX Current Health: 7/11 Current Mana: 0/5

Mehmed II Conqueror + consorts (pictures are for aesthetic)
Emine Gülbahar Hatun — was a favourite consort of Sultan Mehmed II. In most sources she is referred as non-muslim slave who was converted to Islam after her arrival to the harem. There is no agreement on her origins some historians think she was Pontic Greek, Albanian or lowly Slavic. She was the mother of the future Sultan Bayezid II and Gevherhan Hatun. She died circa 1492 and was buried in her mausoleum inside the Fatih Mosque next to her late husband.
Çiçek Yagmur Hatun — was a wife or consort of Sultan Mehmed II. According to some sources she could have been Turkish noblewoman or Serbian, Greek, Venetian, French slave. She entered the harem or married Mehmed at Constantinople and gave birth to her only son Şehzade Cem (Ottoman claimant Sultan) on 22 December 1459. It is not known the degree of influence she had during Mehmed’s reign or if she even was favoured by him. She died on 3 May 1498 of plague and was buried in Cairo.
Hatice Hatun — was a thrid legal wife of Sultan Mehmed II. She was a possible daughter of Zaganos Mehmed Pasha. In 1463 she became Mehmed's third legal wife. After her husband death she remarried with a statesman.
Sitti Mükrime Hatun — was a Turkish Princess and first legal wife of Sultan Mehmed II. Her father was Süleyman Bey the sixth ruler of Dulkadir State. When Mehmed turned seventeen he married her for political purposes. Her possible offspring is unknown. Due to her middle name Sittişah is sometimes confused with Gülbahar Mükrime Hatun another consort of Mehmed. She died in September 1486 and was buried in a mausoleum built inside her mosque.
Helena Palaiologina — was a possible wife of Sultan Mehmed II. Her entering the Sultan's harem is controversial and remain unconfirmed. She was a daughter of the Despot of Morea Demetrios Paleologos the brother of Constantine XI Palaiologos the final Byzantine emperor and Theodora Asanina the daughter of Paul Asan. Some rumors says Mehmed II asked for her after his campaign in Morea having heard of her beauty. Probably he never bedded with her because he was afraid she would poison him. In another case Helena was provided with a pension and large estate at Adrianople by the Sultan though she was forbidden to marry. She died of unknown causes in 1469 or 1470 in Edirne.
Gülşah Hatun — was a second legal wife or consort of Sultan Mehmed II. There is no informations about her origins. She married Mehmed or entered his harem in 1449 when he was still a Prince and the governor of Manisa. Shortly before Murad’s II death she gave a birth to her only son Şehzade Mustafa and followed him to Konya when he became governor of the province. She died circa 1487 and was buried in Bursa in the tomb she had built for herself near that of Mustafa.
Maria Hatun — was a consort of Sultan Mehmed II. Before she entered Mehmed’s harem she was a widow of Alexander Komnenos Asen. According to some sources she was judicated as the most beautiful woman of her age. Some historians claims she could be more likely Murad’s II concubine than Mehmed’s.
Anna Hatun — was a consort of Sultan Mehmed II. Her parents were Trabzon Greek emperor David Komnenos and Helena Kantakuzenos. The marriage was initially proposed by her father, but Mehmed refused. Nontheless when Trabzon was taken in 1461 Anna entered the harem and stayed there for two years after which Mehmed married her off to Zaganos Mehmed Pasha.

ABOUT MUSES: CONSTANTINE XI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎: "The city is fallen but I am alive". Constantine XI; emperor; also called 'the marble emperor' as more recent legends tell the story that an angel rescued him before his death and turned him into a marble statue where he'll wait to be brought back to life when his people need him the most. Also 'Michael' if you are fond of him.
Height/Weight: 171cm / 73kg
Source: Historical facts
Region: Europe
Alignment: Lawful good
Attribute: Man
Gender: Male
Constantine XI, the last Roman (byzantine) emperor, his reign started around 1448-1449 and ended with his death in battle during the fall of Constantinople in 1453 while trying to defend its gates. It's during this final decision of staying to defend his empire from its inevitable fall that some sources say is where he mentioned the line commonly attributed to him "The city is fallen but I am alive". It is because some sources record that he was only recognized/found afterward by his purple boots that we think he took part during the battle. (the fall of Constantinople consisted of the capture of the capital of the Byzantine Empire by the Ottoman Empire). With Constantine's death, the Eastern Roman Empire came to its culmination.
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐄: determined, brave, mild-mannered, constant, strategical, gentle, logical, has an objective way of thinking yet at the end, his decisions will likely end up being weighted in regards to his morals/emotions (example, knowing (and even stating in fate) that his empire will collapse yet deciding to stay and fight for it regardless), stubborn, loyal. 'He usually makes an effort to maintain a gentle tone, but takes on a rather crude tone during dire emergencies.' (from his fate profile)
𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒: Fate profile, summarized story, 'The immortal emperor : the life and legend of Constantine Palaiologos, last emperor of the Romans' , wikipedia link , more to be added.

|| WEIRDLY SPECIFIC BUT HELPFUL CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS ; accepting!

2. How loosely or strictly do they use the word ‘friend’?
Surprisingly very strictly. Constantine knew a lot of people in life, but only seemed to really consider one person his friend, the historian George who later recorded Constantine's life for preservation. It's not that he's opposed to considering people his friends but... Constantine was aware that even as the third son of an Emperor that his position dictated a level of distance with other people. And that habit never really faded even as a Servant, though he's getting better about it.
15. What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?
His manner of speech, really. Constantine tries to speak very formally and properly when he's "on duty" so to speak. But when he's allowed to just be himself? He speaks roughly, using swears and dropping any pretense of being a "proper ruler" in a way that would have had his mother drag him by the ear to wash his mouth with soap. He has, after all, always been more of a soldier deep down.
23. What do they feel guilty for that the other person(s) doesn’t / don’t even remember?
So, it's a small thing that actually did happen according to the writing of George Sphrantzes. Shortly after he was introduced to the Palaiologos children and became fast friends with Constantine in their childhood, one day Constantine convinced George to sneak out of the palace with him. To skip out on lessons as young boys would do. It...ended with both of them in trouble, though George suffered a heavier punishment due to how he was supposed to restrain Constantine as his retainer. He's always felt guilty over that, though George barely even recalled the incident as they grew older.
37. What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?
That he fears that he's cursed and will only bring about an untimely and painful doom. This is...primarily because Constantine has been left scarred by both of his wives dying in under a year of being married to him due to contracting and succumbing to a sudden illness. Both were political marriages but he did care deeply for both for the short time he knew them. And now he's secretly convinced he's cursed.
40. How do they respond to a loose handshake? What goes through their head?
Constantine thinks it means the other person is untrustworthy. Very untrustworthy, and likely planning to backstab him or someone else. This is mainly because of the time period he was from, where men would clasp each other's forearms firmly to check for weapons. A weak grip is...suspicious. Very much so.
58. How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme?
Oh, so many. Strategy games, studying history for fun, beekeeping, fishing, hunting, wood carving, and even weaving. He's also a deft hand at construction, thanks to helping with the upkeep of the city and the walls when he could. It's mainly...things that keep him focused on a single task. Stuff he can do without having to worry about being proper with.

Also I have continued to watch rise of empires: ottoman. I have not finished the first season yet but I will! Anyway it's so good!!!
Also the segments with Constantine XI Palaiologos could also be titled "Constantine and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day siege". The actor is great, Constantine looks so very tired and like he's going through the most horrible time of his life, which well, he is, so it's great.
