Exciting things are happening next week, on August 11; my new composition "Södergran Songs" (which is part of the project "EDITH - Jorden blev förvandlad till en askhög") will recieve its finnish premiere at Nagu Kyrka!

I am once again extending my deepest gratitude to my friends and collaborators Fredrik Hagerberg and Josefin Sundström, with whom I've been working on this inspiring artistic venture for almost a year.

I am so happy with the result of this project, especially after the positive feedback we recieved after the swedish premiere at Vikens Kyrka last month. Hoping for an equally positive response from the audience in Nagu!

This piece takes you on at trip through central Siberia, from the throat-singing peoples and beautiful mountains in the south to the arctic tundra and deep shamanic traditions of the north.

This was my biggest project of 2023. I wrote this piece and an essay as my final degree project in composition, all about Siberian indigenousgroups and their music.

"On the Road to Coexistence".

These are a series of four films, from 01 to 04.

The progress of humanity and technology are intertwined. Today, AI continues to evolve at an unprecedented speed.

Could it be a threat to humanity or a pathway to a better world? In this time of chaos, anxiety, and expectations, we would like to re-examine the path of coexistence.

The music combines electronic sounds to represent technology with Khöömii* representing humans. The melodies on the piano and the unpredictable rhythms draw inspiration from the primitive aspects of ethnic music. The numbers shown are written in binary code and repeat the word "Humans!" five times.

The motif of 03 is inspired by the traditional Japanese song "Sakura." This song has been passed down orally and its author is unknown. It portrays the abstract world of humans and is harmonized with the concrete world of AI, which can be analyzed and visualized.

*Traditional Mongolian singing, also known as throat singing, is a technique that involves vibrating and producing sounds with the throat.

これらは連作で、01から04までの4作品で構成される。

人類の発展とテクノロジーの進歩は切り離すことはできない。そして現在、かつてないスピードでAIは進化をし続けている。

人類の生活を奪うのか、それとも、より幸福な世界に導いてくれるのか。

混沌とした不安や期待が渦巻く今こそ、共存の道を再度問いたい。

テクノロジーを象徴する電子音と、ヒトを象徴するホーミー（モンゴルの伝統的歌唱法。喉を震わせ発声することから喉歌と呼ばれる）を使い、民族音楽のプリミティヴな要素からインスパイアされたピアノによるメロディーと不規則なリズムによって構成される。

表示される数字はバイナリコードで「Humans!」を5回繰り返したものである。

03では、日本の伝統的歌曲「さくら」をモティーフとして取り入れている。口承で受け継がれてきた作者不明の「さくら」に内在するヒトの抽象的な世界に、解析・可視化できるAIの具体的な世界を調和させた。

This project, which is dedicated to the french proto-impressionist painter Eugène Boudin (1824-1898), is in collaboration with Duo Diabas and my colleagues Hans Artursson, Emil Ernström and Gonçalo Rodrigues.

This project has been long in the making, and now it is finally being materialized with a premiere performance at Kungsbacka Theatre on October 5, 2024!

The images that came to mind were expressed rhythmically and dynamically without concealment. Some scenes are formed from sudden melodies, while a mass of dotted energy forms others. Silent sections were created each moment, expressing the breath of sound through impact and silence.

Following the previous work "Reconstruction," this work also incorporates the voice of the Indonesian Kecak as a symbol of the flame of life and heart that continues to be lit without ceasing.

Gambaran yang muncul di benak saya diekspresikan secara ritmis dan dinamis tanpa ada yang disembunyikan. Sebagian pemandangan terbentuk dari melodi yang tiba-tiba, sementara massa energi yang bertitik-titik membentuk pemandangan lainnya. Bagian-bagian hening diciptakan setiap saat, mengekspresikan nafas suara melalui benturan dan keheningan.

Mengikuti karya sebelumnya "Reconstruction", karya ini juga memasukkan suara kecak Indonesia sebagai simbol api kehidupan dan hati yang terus menyala tanpa henti.

浮かんだイメージを、包み隠さずリズミックに、ダイナミックに表現した。

それは突発的なメロディから形成される場面もあれば、点となったエネルギーの塊によって形成される場面もある。瞬間瞬間に無音箇所を作り、衝撃と静寂による音の呼吸を表現した。

前作「Reconstruction」に引き続き、本作も絶やすことなく灯し続ける生命と心の炎の象徴として、インドネシアのケチャの声を取り入れている。
