I have a very special relationship with Christmas Cake. When I was about 3 my Granddad asked me to make a Christmas cake with him for a cute photo to send to everyone. From that Christmas onwards until I was 23 & got a full time job, I made a Christmas cake with him every year. Yep even moody teenage me did it with him. As I child I tried the brandy & almost spat it back into the Christmas cake. It was always fun. My granddad is now no longer here he passed in 2019 just before I turned 30. We now have a friend who makes my dad one each year. It’s good but it’s not the magic of making one with Granddad. Bloody miss you Phil. To quote the old bill Crappy Hismas to you all.(Happy Christmas)

Anyhow you’re here for Loki, so he’s making Christmas cake & he’s got help too.

Yes Aligator Loki is here & is being rather impatient. His jaw chops away & his tail flicks out. Loki is trying to concentrate on his master piece, because the icing has to be right. But trying to converse with his friend is making him a little frustrated.

Loki has his Christmas music on which is playing let it snow in this universe. Like me Loki has mini trees in his kitchen too. But he can’t get angry at baby aligator loki. He’s having a dance on the cake, & using the icing like a skating rink. Loki just smiles & laughs at his variety. This is a Christmas memory they will both cherish for years.

You walk into the kitchen.

“What going on?” You say at the scene before you. The Lokis are having a stand off. Aligator Loki snaps growls & licks his lips & your Loki sighs.

“No this will be the thirds” he turns to face you. “He’s eaten 2 of the last cakes whole. Look at his belly” Aligator loki lick his lips & taps his tummy.

“Well you can magic them up except for the icing” you say as you hug your loki.

“That’s not the point”

“I know baby” you then scowl at the Aligator. “Dont up set Loki or there will be no gifts on Christmas Day” the smug Look on his face drops, & he leave loki to finish his cake.

This Loki & his Aligator variant, know team work is fun & gets the job done. You’ve taken photos of the whole process of them making the cake together. & now here they are icing it. Both laughing & smiling at their achievement. You can’t wait to put this on your multiverse email, so everyone can see that two Lokis really are better than one.

I really enjoyed these Lokis & im sorry I went off on a tangent at the start. I hope you enjoy these little shorts & pictures too.

I just had a thought

It's always been about dual sacrifice, but I don't think Loki really knew that.

Look back at episode 1 where Loki and Mobius are addressing Loki's time-slipping. If Loki doesn't prune himself in time, he's lost to time, if Mobius stays out there too long, O.B. says that he'll gradually age and get his skin peeled off.

When Mobius and Loki bicker about it, Mobius tells Loki he would rather violently rip himself from the timeline

"At least you get to live."

"Live? What's the quality of life with no skin?"

Obviously it's played for laughs, but it can have a lot deeper of a meaning. If Loki didn't make it back then, we know that Mobius would've stayed out there. Loki (wrongfully) assumes that Mobius would be able to live through getting his skin peeled off (god logic ig). But he wouldn't have. If Loki didn't make it back, neither of them would've.

Applying that to the finale, Loki assumes that his actions will let everyone (including Mobius) live. And he's right this time actually, Mobius does live-

But what's his quality of life?

He doesn't feel like he can stay at the TVA. He can't go back to his family. He's completely alone.

Just like Loki is.

Dual sacrifice, and in both instances Loki didn't realize that Mobius would go down with him too. He thought Mobius would just be able to go on with his life.

But he can't, neither of them can. They're connected. Look, his name is literally Mobius M. Mobius. They're both burdened with the weight of eternity. Forever conjoined, but always separate. All either of them can do now is just "let time pass."

Very poetic and sad.

Productive day~🌱

Picked some dock weed at the park - free thief leafs! Cleaned and cut those, pickling the stems as they're bitter and the leaves will be sauted with dinner. Also dried a bunch of our home grown parsley.

My girlfriend made jokes about Avenger's cookie cutters, and lightning bolts which I found hilarious... and then I was like man, Loki would make ugly but tasty cookies for his first tries LOL...

They just expand too much because the dough got funny njfgkh

The joke of Loki being challenged to learn to cook without magic, but not directly being challenged is hilarious to me...

So I have my Hiddelston Girls. I adore them & we were sharing ideas & things to do & go over & one of those ideas which I shared with them was the idea of Cooking with Loki… & they went omg we’d look at that we’d so follow that.

So here I am going off on another tangent.

Yes each Friday from now until the Christmas (& it might continue past that) we’re going to post some Cooking with Loki bits. Maybe a little synopsis with the pictures too but it hope you all enjoy it.

If you know me well you will know that Tom always used to be my number 1 until… well… I think my writing speaks for itself.

rules of loki's conjuration magic

what can and can't he conjure up?

we know he can conjure fireworks, we see kid loki conjure up a sword, and loki summons that blanket him and sylvie cuddle under. but when it comes to conjuring the tickets for the train on lamentis, he couldn't do it.

my interpretation has always been "he can conjure stuff that he can picture" which SOUNDS pretty solid in theory- after all, a blanket and fireworks are pretty easy to imagine, and he never saw the tickets, so there's no way for him to know what they look like

but also that opens the door to the same problem that people encounter when trying to draw a duck from memory, which is that it turns out ducks are kinda hard to remember all the details of, and he would end up with a weird sort of duck creature but not quite an actual one

(although i used duck for this example just because it is the first thing that came to mind, conjuring up living things seems like it would be its own kind of power akin to wanda's children- we never see loki conjure anything living beyond duplication casting, which is its own separate thing, so i don't THINK he could conjure a duck, but just walk with my example here. you think you know what a Thing looks like until you realize you don't.)

does the ability to conjure something come from visualizing it? or using it beforehand? had he known that blanket and therefore it was easy to summon up? where is it coming from? are the fireworks actually an illusion but the blanket and sword were Very Real?

is there a consensus or is this another topic of highly academic debate in the loki world?

You never fell sick, so this was a the first time Loki had ever saw you this physically weak

“i’m still going to work” you say through sniffles

“you’re not serious right? come on let me take care of you” Loki greatly insisted

“no i need to work, i need money” achoo!

“darling please…you know i can shower you with all the riches of the world…just stay in”

“no”

“yes. end of discussion.”

“yes. you will lie down and i will take care of you”

“no. let me go!” achoo!

Loki grabbed your phone

“and what the hell are you doing?”

He was much taller and stronger so you stood no chance in getting your phone…he called your office and said you were sick

“LOKI! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT” cough!

“because…love…YOU ARE SICK GET IN BED!”

Loki drags you into bed

“LOKI!” cough!

“Your boss said it was fine, in fact he insisted you took the week off…when was the last time you took a break?!”

“i don’t know?! fine ill rest” achoo!

you pouted in defeat, although you were glad Loki offered to take care of you, you just wanted to always win discussions

“good! now…what would you like to eat my dear?”

“pasta…and fish”

“pasta and fish it is”

Loki went out and bought ingredients for your requested dish and cooked you pasta and fish

He also bought medicine, tea, a stuffed toy, and some chips since they were your favourite

achoo! “mmm love your cooking is amazing” you say as you devoured the dish

“only the best for my best girl always” he smiled and gave a kiss on your cheek

Loki then gave you some space to eat in silence and came back later with the other items he bought

“Ok so…medicine first, drink up love”

You saw the medicine he bought and you cringed from the memory of its taste

“What’s wrong? are you okay?” Loki asks as he watched your face contort from the sight of the medicine

“I just…hate the taste” cough!

He chuckled “oh come on, you know its good for you”

You shook your head ahchoo!

“Come on”

“Fine” You forced it down…god you didn’t like that cough!

“Good girl”

You blushed and smiled at him

“Ok then i got you some tea you can have whenever. I got chips since they’re your favourite and this stuffed animal”

ahchoo! You saw everything he did for you and you couldn’t help but tear up “d-darling, you’re too sweet” you smiled

“awh my sweet, i’ll always take care of you, no matter what…mhm my precious” He said as his hand rubbed up and down your backside

“Alright well…i’ll leave you alone and let you rest…please get some sleep my love” Loki then started walking out

“Wait! Wait!” You pleaded cough!

He turned back at you

“Cuddle with me? It will make me feel better”

Loki smiled and crawled into bed with you, wrapping his arms around you “My darling”

“Loki…mhm I love you, thank you for taking care of me” sniffle

“Of course my love, always, I love you too…now get some rest darling”

You drifted to sleep in his embrace
