Cora stared at him angrily and did not sit down, but she started a ghost story.

“A long time ago,” she began, “there was a group of friends. They were adventurers. They never said no to a challenge. They had heard on the news of woods in California that were supposedly haunted. Many hikers had gone in, but none of them ever came out. Their bodies were always discovered mangled and unrecognizable. But these friends were not scared. They packed a backpack and started into the woods.

“In the middle of the first night, one of the boys went missing. His wife wanted to go look for him, but the others tried to persuade her not to go because it would be too inconvenient, even though it was more inconvenient for her to lose her husband in the woods. So… the wife murdered the rest of her friends for being dick weasels and went to look for her husband anyway.

“The next day, the husband and wife came back alive. The end.”
