Look this may be stupid but I wish getting all the lions and forming voltron had taken the whole first season. Like imagine the season finale of that season had been the payoff of them all building their bonds and finally being able to be in sync enough to mind meld together and this giant robot and the end is them coming back to the castle and yes there's still so much to do but they FORMED VOLTRON and they're all cheering and hugging and then Lance seems to think of something and stops to point at Keith who just looks back at him super bewildered and goes "I say vol, you say tron.... Vol....?"

And the whole team is fucking wait as Lance is literally gesturing at Keith like that image of Will Smith gesturing at Jada Pinkett Smith and he's literally just shaking with anticipation like his face is screaming "Please for the love of God get it please we have shared a brain space with this team please don't leave me hanging"

And Keith's expression clicks and he goes... "tron?"

And Lance holds in a scream as he once again goes "Vol!"

And Keith "Tron"

"VOL!"

"TRON!" as the team joins him on it and Lance can't contain it and screams "VOLTRON!! YES WE DID IT!! AGHHHHH!" and picks up and spins Keith briefly as they all begin cheering and hugging again

Sleep headcanons!

Pidge has SO much shit on their bed and def is used to having a crick in their back

Hunk has pillows (like both for aesthetic and ergonomic)

Shiro sleeps coffin style but also little spoon

We know Lance has the works but I also think he has seasonal pjs (both festive and j heat/cold)

Allura has a bonnet or general night hair care that she tries to keep up

The mice have their own cute bed and routine with Allura

Every uncle sleeps in like a tshirt and weird shorts so Coran gets the same treatment

I think both Allura and Coran struggled with sleep for a longggg time after waking up in the pods

How did you come out?

I didn’t. Liking guys has been a fact of life for me ever since I was young, it was just something I never gave any focus to. I was too busy with other worries. When war was finally over and we were winding down, that’s when I started thinking more about my feelings.

I guess you could consider me and Lance starting to date as me coming out. Shiro was the first person who knew, and obviously he was very supportive. I think the only people who seemed surprised was Hunk and Coran. Hunk was supportive, but I think he wanted to talk to Lance about it. For what reason? No idea. Coran also talked to Lance in private, but at least for that one I knew what it was about.

Allura’s death still weighed heavily on us, and I think he was making sure Lance actually did love Allura. I do not doubt Lance’s love for Allura, as Coran did, but I also do not doubt his love for me. You can love more than one person in your lifetime, and just because he loved Allura does not mean he loves me any less, vice versa too.

Voltron Characters Headcanons, go!

Finally, Part 3! Here's Shiro, Allura, and Coran! This is a little bit shorter, so sorry. Thank you for helping me with some of these @gilyoungroach & @hotdogcabbagesausage !

ALLURA

- Pure Pansexual (Aliens don't have labels but she loves everyone so-) - Mostly She/Her Pronouns (Genderfluid) - Allura definitely had a rebellious teen era and it's why she doesn't like Keith because he reminds her of that era and she cringes every time she remembers it. - Allura collects shiny and sparkly rocks. This is canon but still. She has a very extensive rock collection spanning from "shiny but ordinary" to "so shiny" and even all the way to "super, extra sparkly" - I don't have much to say with her actually. Niko sums it up pretty fucking well: "allura goddess case closed" - @nikogane

CORAN (Aka. Single Pringle)

- Aliens = Pansexual. Duh. NJFKAFN (he's an adventurous fellow) - He/Him (Transgendered Coran!!) - #Alforan was one-sided. Yes. He loved Alfor with all his heart. Sadly, the feeling wasn't mutual, he never confessed but knew the truth deep down. Coran was content just being there beside Alfor as his advisor though it hurt him every time he saw his first and only love being sweet with Melenor. - Despite his jealousy, he never hated Melenor or Allura. He treats Melenor like a queen, obviously, but also like a sister. And of course, he loves Allura like his own daughter. - If he was an Earthling, he would've totally done drag. And he would've slayed. - He gives me so much... Lance but a different age, different upbringing sort of vibe. Those two definitely talk deep into the night about their issues and problems, Coran would've been Lance's version of Shiro.

SHIRO (Aka. The gayest man that ever did gay.)

Has like- brewery equipment, like the shit you'd see in coffee shops but only for like half of Shiro's whole kitchen. He's got packets of different flavors, sugars, milk, etc. - He was emo. He was emo before. It's canon. He was emo. That's where Keith gets his genes /j - Contrary to popular belief, Shiro can cook. Especially Korean and Japanese foods because he learned so Keith could still taste those familiar things his late father would've given him when he was little. - Probably is a hoarder, not that much though. But allura doesn’t see any difference between male and female physical attractiveness thus making the human word of the most equivalency bisexual)

keith: if asked will say he’s bi but in actuality he’s probably something more like demi or grayromantic because he gets a crush like once every 20 years and it’s always earthshattering embarrassing world ending intense & makes him want to punch their lights out

lance: gay. Hes gay. He looooves girls and he thinks that’s attraction for the first 18 years of his life because girls are cool and he wants to be around them. Keith and Lance love pranking Pidge.

Okay, so I mentioned in a previous headcanon that Pidge wanted to prove Klance was canon, right?

Now, Keith and Lance are some pretty silly and devious boys, as we know, so they come up with the brilliant idea to gaslight Pidge into thinking they made the whole thing up. They're discussing their plan in Lance's room, when Keith snaps his fingers and says, "I got it! We should get the other's in on it too! That way it's uh..." And he pauses to count the number of Paladins on his fingers, "Four times more likely!"

And that's exactly what they do, they get everyone else in on it, even the mice.

So one day, Pidge walks into the lounge and everyone is there, and they start trying to talk about how their "experiment" went in regards to Keith and Lance dating, and everyone just gives them a confused look, like "What are you going on about?"

Keith and Lance look at each other and go

L: "Seriously, Pidge, I'd think I'd know if Mullet and I were dating, nothing is going on, what are you talking about?"

K: "Yeah, besides, when have you ever seen us actually getting along?"

And Pidge is baffled, they're so confused as to why the two are denying it.

this is how the rest of the conversation went:

P: "You guys literally kissed... Right in front of me."

H: "I dunno, Pidge, don't you think we'd all know by now? I mean, those two are pretty bad at hiding things."

S: "I agree, I've known Keith for a while, he's like family. If they were dating, he would have told me."

K: "Exactly."

P: "But-"

A: "Yes, and Lance tells me everything about what you on Earth call Gossip every time he invites me to do those fun face masks."

C: "I would've found some trace by now, I'm sure."

P: "Guys I swear! I saw it happen!"

L: "Look, Pidge, buddy, we know you want me and Keith to be a thing, but we just aren't, you we're clearly imagining things."

C: "Quite so. Have you considered that it may have been a dream?"

P: "I... I'm gonna go take a nap..."

Once Pidge has left the room, Keith and Lance burst out into laughter and fall into each other's arms, giggling until their eyes are teary.

Pidge: When did you break a bone? For some reason I kinda presumed that'd never happened to you

Lance: I was the test pilot for a lot of Hunks early vehicles when we were kids. I once got rushed to the dentist cause we thought one of my teeth got shoved back up into my gums

Lance: Thankfully it turned out I just swallowed it but my mom wouldn't let me leave the house without helmet and elbow and knee pads for a while after that

Shiro: Just how dangerous were these vehicles you were building

Hunk: It was when I was younger so you know it took me a while to remember the invention of seatbelts...

Lance: Anyway, I presume this reset will hurt. I figured they gave me anaesthesia in the ambulance

Hunk: Lance, you weren't in an ambulance when your arm was reset, your mom drove us to the hospital. It was Veronica that set your arm

Lance: I thought I heard a siren

Hunk: No that was me. You passed out from the pain and I passed out too shortly after

Keith: Why did you pass out?

Hunk: Have you ever seen a bone get reset as a 9 year old?

Extended Languages Headcanons!

Lance: Cuban Spanish

Hunk: Samoan & bits of Tagalog from childhood friends (helped him learn Spanish faster w Lance bc a lot of the words/roots are similar)

Pidge: some Hebrew (& binary code, Morse code, fuckin Latin, etc.)

Keith: knows simple Korean & the swears (was learning as a kid but oops #deaddad)

Shiro: knows basic Japanese (I like to think that he, like Keith, had a rebellious era so he hated learning but as an adult tries to pick it up again) also some Korean bc tween Keith was feisty

Allura: Garla, Altean (maybe some other planets bc of trade, balls, royalty things idk)

Coran: weirdly a lot?? Apparently went like planet party hopping and picked up a bunch of

I have many thoughts about sexuality/gender hcs for literally any aliens because of how labels transfer over etc etc also in my heart Altea didnt have the emphasis on labels and other junk like we do. So any queer hcs for aliens are just the closest to what I think theyd be, and if they're altean theyre unlabelled but I used what I'd choose if I had to assign labels based on what fits best

Random VLD headcannons that I've come up with.

Allura likes to listen to kpop. Mostly the girl groups, but she likes to listen to kpop.

Her favourite groups are the ones like NewJeans, IVE, and Twice. She also really likes the lesser known groups and soloists.

Lance listens to anything that he thinks sounds good. Harry Styles, LoveJoy, Queen, ABBA. If he likes it, he'll listen to it.

Pidge replaced the lenses of Matt's glasses with bluelight lenses at her mom's insistence.

Colleen insisted that Pidge replaced the lenses of Matt's glasses with bluelight lenses because of how Pidge is always staring at a screen.

Adam wore his engagement ring on a necklace bc he couldn't bear to part with it but he also couldn't bear to wear it on his finger.

At Adam and Shiro's wedding, they had a Best Man and Maid of Honor. Keith and Allura got the honor of being Shiro's Best Man and Maid of Honor.

Adam chose Curtis and Veronica.

Lance's niece and nephew were Flower Girl and Flower Boy.

Keith's house was destroyed in the invasion, so Keith went back to rebuild it with the help of his mom and his friends.

Keith lives in the house with Lance and their kids after it's rebuilt.

Kosmo is protective of Lance and Keith's kids, so whenever they're out late at night Kosmo is always there.

This works because Keith is the only one to have a creature like Kosmo as his pet, and everyone knows that, and no one wants to fuck with this teleporting cosmic wolf.

Kosmo normally teleports the kids out of harm's way if it ever arises.

Pidge grew her hair out enough to be able to tie it up. It'll either be in a ponytail or a half-pony.

Pidge drinks anything that has caffeine. Coffee, energy drinks, she doesn't care. She wants her caffeine.

Someone has to hide the caffeine from her, but it fails anyway.

Keith doesn't like coffee, because it's too bitter for him. He drinks energy drinks instead.

Allura adores Oreos.

These are random things I came up with. I don't know if anyone else has these headcannons, so. Yeah.

Also Allura liking kpop came from me listening to kpop while writing a scene for one of my fics that features Allura talking to Lance about something. I can't get that headcannon out of my head anymore.
