2/14/2024: Valentine's Day with a bunch of kiddos who've just learned what Valentine's Day is because they don't have that in space but they're doing their best.

Harrow has decided to try to spoil Gideon, not only by indulging her on a Valentine's date but by finding her a fuzzy friend, this sloth! Gideon is still figuring out a name for them, but she is clearly delighted by finally having a pet of her own.

(Harrow is wearing a blouse from sewwitchy on Etsy, the skirt from AG's Recital Outfit II, and the shoes from her "meet" outfit; Gideon is wearing an outfit sold by kmajor1 and boots sold by dolltoybox on eBay.)

Dulcie is giving her dear Pal a necklace - she tried it on for herself, but she already had a brooch on, you see, and Camilla refuses to wear rhinestones. They're all charmed, delighted, and loving to be in each other's company.

I do always find it wild that people will act like gods/spirits/other entities can't gain new spheres of influence like??? The gods are alive and the world they influence is ever-changing, they're going to pick up some new associations, are you going to be less flexible than CATHOLICS?

12/17/2023: There's another new arrival at St. Alecto's just in time for the holidays.

Meet Judith Deuteros! She's originally a Gabriela who's been rewigged (thanks, ZaZouCustomDolls at Etsy!) and dressed in a sweater/skirt pair by 2debsadorables on eBay and some of Samantha's spare boots. Judith (Jody to Coronabeth her friends) is the necromantic Heir of the Second House, Captain in the Cohort, and someone who needs to learn how to relax. Luckily, we're all about encouraging positive habits here (and discouraging being in the military).

As you might notice, Corona is absolutely thrilled to see Jody here. (Jody is also happy to see her, but she's still not used to the princess' demonstrative affections.) Ianthe is... less thrilled, largely because Judith divides Corona's attention. (We can't do a lot about their enmeshment. They're worse off when they're not together.)

As such, Ianthe has shifted her attention to her other favorite target, Harrowhark. Harrow is of course dressed up in her finest vestments for the season, and quite frankly, she is in disbelief that Ianthe has even bothered her. Gideon, you might notice, feels similarly about Ianthe flirting with Harrow to how Ianthe felt about Corona flirting with Jody. (Gideon is also sporting the Tartan Plaid outfit, because Harrow insisted she dress up for a formal event and like hell she was going to wear a dress.)

Discouraged, Ianthe turns to Courtney. Courtney (wearing a ruffly dress that Harrow was originally delivered in and beyond that I'm unsure of the origin of) has the misfortune of dealing with these advances by virtue of looking kind of like Corona. Is this a genuine attempt to incite jealousy? A genuine attempt to make a connection? It doesn't really matter. Courtney just handles it with a patient smile, because she's determined to make Ianthe (and Corona too) learn how to behave like a real person sometimes.
