Kafka is a very pleasant one! Her Beginner and Intermediate stages do not differ by much. She is conversable, and does not explore her surroundings too much in the absence of User. Beginner Kafka will need a comfortable and relaxed environment – preferably one that has a very lively but slow-going vibe. Beginner Kafka however, may continue to feel distant with the user. Users may level up Kafka from Beginner to Intermediate by spending more time with her, and trying to understand her personal taste, asking opinions, and engaging Kafka in more activities that may deepen your bonds.

Intermediate Kafka will also interact more personally and frequently with User – especially regarding medias revolving around movies or cosmetics. She offers good advice, as her skill, Insightful Understanding levels up from [II] to [III], also giving her a bonus skill of Strategic Fear [II], letting Kafka be able to manipulate others as the user pleases. Kafka also would like to play strategic games more often such as Chess. She is prone to utilising the Toy Gun accessories in a strange manner, and may set up false targets to “practice”. Users are advised to let Kafka do as such, as she will continue regardless of user's satisfaction. The Black Package

The package is silent for the longest time. However, if it is left for too long, the package will start violently shaking, before bursting open and then staying silent once again.

Inside the package is a tired Blade – he is not comfortable or pleased with his circumstances of being tiny and inside the box.

Users are advised to immediately try and comfort Blade by using the accessories provided – First aid kit Prop 1, Music Box prop 1, Medicine 3, etc..

Beginner Blade may be standoff-ish, and very distant. He will be reluctant to leave his gift box, and interact with the outside environment. Users are advised to place Blade inside his box, and somewhere stable with dim-lighting, with little change and a lot of privacy and quietness. Beginner Blade takes a lot of time to adjust well to his surroundings due to his senses – Sense Enhancement [II], which makes him prone to sensory overstimulation and anxiety easily. He may growl if you try to force him out of his gift box.

Do not pick up Blade. He will not like it. It will increasingly stunt his growth if the user persists and insists on picking up Blade.

Users often complain it is difficult to level up Blade from his Beginner stage to Intermediate stage. We urge our users to be patient with Blade. You may help him by offering him comfort with Music box Prop 1, and converse often with him. Blade does not seem talkative, but he often finds comfort in User's personal daily life. Blade is prone to Loneliness [III], and may immediately delevel if neglected for even a day. Users are advised to keep Blade company for 7-8 hours a day – as long as Blade is within the user's vicinity, he will feel accompanied.

Intermediate Blade will continue his state of stagnancy, but will occasionally show some symptoms of growth – he may take the initiative and ask for User's day, hum along quietly to the Music box, explore his surroundings a bit more, and take a few trinkets of User to keep in his gift box. Depending on how often User may chose to have spent time with Blade, resistance against Loneliness [III] evolves it into Loneliness [I], and Blade will be able to feel more assured and less lonely in times of User's absence. He may also verbalize quiet and short appreciation if user chooses to leave by a small note of assurance in their absence.

Users are cautioned to be well prepared in advance for Advanced Blade. In this Stage, Blade is prone to Mara Deterioration [IV] which greatly affects his mental state. Users are advised to order for Medicine 2 as an accustomed accessory for Advanced Blade. You may also help Advanced Blade by his Companion feature, and bring in a Kafka or a Silver Wolf. They will help tether the Mara Deterioration to a level [II]. However, users are cautioned to not under any circumstances, house others with Blade's Companion feature – especially Dan Heng, Jing Yuan, and Jingliu. This may immediately delevel Advanced Blade back to his Beginner stage, and worsen Mara Deterioration to a [V] {Blade is at risk of permanent damage.}

Advanced Blade is quiet, and does not often converse, similar to his Beginner Stage. However, he is more open to exploring newer areas, and may take up an interest in his Sword Prop 4, and practice it on makeshift targets made of useless or waste belongings of the User. He does not demand much, except for the occasional pain medicine. However, Blade's Sense Enhancement [II] levels up to a Sense Enhancement [IV], and he will protect and warn User of any incoming danger or hazard that may pose a risk to their life.

Imitation caviar invented in the 1930s could provide the solution to plastic pollution, claims Pierre Paslier, CEO of London-based packaging company Notpla. He discovered the cheap food alternative, invented by Unilever and made using seaweed, after quitting his job as a packaging engineer at L’Oréal.

With cofounder and co-CEO Rodrigo García González, Paslier and Notpla have extended the idea, taking a protein made from seaweed and creating packaging for soft drinks, fast food, laundry detergent, and cosmetics, among other things. They’re also branching out into cutlery and paper.

“Seaweed grows quickly and needs no fresh water, land, or fertilizer,” Paslier explains. “It captures carbon and makes the surrounding waters less acidic. Some species of seaweed can grow up to a meter a day.” Best of all, he says, packaging made from seaweed is completely biodegradable because it’s entirely nature-based.

Paslier noted an amazing coincidence—Alexander Parkes invented the first plastic in Hackney Wick, the same part of East London that, 100 years later, Notpla calls home. Since Parkes’ first invention, waste plastic—especially tiny particles known as microplastics, which take hundreds or thousands of years to break down into harmless molecules—has been wreaking havoc in ecosystems across the world.

Plastic pollution is proving especially damaging in the marine environment, where tiny beads of plastic are deadly to the vital microorganisms that make up plankton and which sequester 30 percent of our carbon emissions, “without us having to build any new fancy technologies,” Paslier says.

Notpla’s plans to replace plastic began with a drink container for marathons. This is, in effect, a very large piece of fake caviar—a small pouch that contains juice or water that athletes can pop in their mouths and swallow when they need rehydration. “We wanted to create something that would feel more like fruit; packaging that you could feel comes more from picking something from a tree than off a production line,” he says.

Paslier showed pictures of two postrace streets—one where refueling came in plastic containers and one where it came in edible Notpla. The first was littered with plastic bottles; the second completely waste-free.

The next step was takeout food containers. Even containers we think are cardboard contain plastic, he says, as grease from food would make plain cardboard too soggy. Working with delivery company Just Eat, Notpla has pioneered a replacement for the per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS), the so-called “forever chemical” plastics that currently line cardboard takeout containers. It has even found a way to retrofit its solution into the old PFAS plant, so there was no need to build new factories.

The company is developing soluble sachets for detergent pods, ice-cream scoops, and even paper packing for cosmetics. And there’s plenty of seaweed to experiment with, Paslier points out. “You don’t realize it’s already available massively at scale,” he says. “It’s in our toothpaste, it’s in our beer, it’s in our reduced-fat products—so there’s an existing infrastructure that we can work with without having to build any additional processes.”

Hydrafacial: a non invasive procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection by removing dead skin cells and impurities while simultaneously delivering moisturizing serums into the skin. (Skin type: ALL) should be done every 4-6 weeks.

Chemical Peel: a solution applied to the face to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells. (Skin type: ALL. Darker skin complexions can experience post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) should be done once a month.

Microdermabrasion: a minimally abrasive instrument is used to gently sand your skin in order to remove the thicker, uneven outer portion of skin. Best for light scarring, discoloration, sun damage and stretch marks. (Skin type: Skin prone to acne scars, age spots, unevenness, discoloration and sun damage.) should be done very 4-8 weeks.

PRP aka Vampire Facial: a procedure that involves drawing the clients blood, spinning it and injecting it through microneedling to increase collagen, reduce fine lines/wrinkles, improve moisture retention and enhance skin tone + texture. (Skin type: typically ACNE PRONE SKIN) should be done every few weeks and maintenance sessions are done 2-4 times a year.

Hair Removal

There are many types of hair removal procedures to invest your time and money into. Waxing, sugaring, threading, laser hair removal and electrolysis. It’s best to go in for a hair removal service when your hair is the size of a grain of rice.

Waxing: every 2-5 weeks. face, underarms and bikini can be done every 2-3 weeks. hair length should be 1/4 of an inch.

Sugaring: every 2 weeks. hair length should be at least 1/8 of an inch.

Threading: every 2-3 weeks.

Laser Hair Removal: every 4-6 weeks done in about 4-6 treatment sessions. maintenance treatments can be done once every 6-12 months.

Electrolysis: every 2-4 weeks done in about 8-12 treatments. can take any where from 8 months, 12 months and 2 years to complete the treatment.

Cosmetic Injections

Cosmetic injections tend to be a yearly treatment routine. I recommend investing in packages in order to get more treatment sessions for a certain amount of money. They can also include a free treatment. Packages can be used for medical esthetic procedures such as laser hair removal packages, body contouring packages and tattoo removal packages as well.

Participating in Botox parties are also a good way to get a discount and purchase Botox packages. I used to assist hosting botox parties which included champagne, mimosas, cute desserts and discounts for clients if they brought a friend!

Botox: once every 4 months.

Lip Filler: once every 12-18 months.

Chin Filler: once every 1-5 years.

Non Surgical Rhinoplasty: once every 6 months.

Nails

During the summer time is when I go into the nail salon more often than usual to keep my nails and toes ready for the sunshine.

Gel Manicure: every 3-4 weeks between fills.

Gel Pedicure: 2 weeks to 1 month.

Acrylic Nail Set: filled every 2-3 weeks. every 8 weeks to replace fake nails.

Hair

Your hair should be healthy and kept in good maintenance by using an effective salon routine.

Hair Color: every 4-6 weeks between each hair coloring session.

Haircut: every 6-8 weeks or every 3-4 months.

Extensions: glue and tape extensions every 4-8 weeks, sew-in extensions every 6-8 weeks and micro-link extensions every 2-3 months.

Wig Installations: every 1-6 weeks.

Other

Lash Extensions: every 2-3 weeks.

Lash Lift: every 6-8 weeks.

Lash Tinting: every 4-6 weeks.

Bow Tinting: every 4 weeks.

Brow Lamination: every 4-6 weeks.

Microblading: touch ups 1 or 2 times a year.

Appointment Layout:

Week 1: hydrafacial & extraction session.

Week 2: eyebrow wax & tint.

so after writing in my creative journal. I write here on tumblr.

I think I feel completely lost in my life because it is completely changing.

I lose some control and also a lot of fog.

If you have followed me for a while, you know that I am a creative person in cosmetics and packaging. I'll provide you with photos to help you understand. I love creating perfumes and telling stories around them. I tried a first gois and completely failed. I started again a second time but I'm in off mode. I don't know if I was still motivated by this project. Yet it’s something that thrills me.

Currently I am a saleswoman and with inflation it is really difficult financially. I am always in the red every month. My goal is to take control of my finances. This is why I am trying to find a solution for a professional reconversion in order to improve my financial life and find a source of fulfillment. I am currently thinking about resuming my studies and/or retraining at LVMH.

I also wonder about my personal view with Pierre (perhaps a little too much)

When it comes to sustainability innovation, seaweed has become a hero on many fronts: From its carbon-sequestration ability to its potential as next-generation packaging materials, methane-reducing livestock feed, sustainable dyes and more, the marine superplant offers innumerable environmental benefits and practical, circular applications.

Thalasso — a Norwegian startup whose Ocean Harvester technology and micro-biorefineries offer a circular solution for both harvesting sargassum from affected coastal areas and transform it into valuable products.

Thalasso’s autonomous Ocean Harvester is being developed to harvest sargassum in a way that is both sustainable and applicable. Powered by electricity and equipped with battery-driven systems, the harvester will integrate solar panels into its design to partially fuel its energy needs. The harvester will be equipped with the technology to detect nearby sargassum, tracking its movement, and is also designed to minimize harm to marine life, incorporating features to prevent bycatch. Each harvester boat will be able to collect 20-40 tons per hour.

After the Ocean Harvester has collected the sargassum, Thalasso's network of mobile micro-biorefineries can convert the unwelcome seaweed into valuable chemical compounds for industries including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, feed, fashion, textiles and bioplastics.

Unlike traditional biorefineries, Thalasso's micro-biorefineries are easy to install — making them suitable for remote seaweed farms. By enabling on-site conversion of seaweed into high-value products, these refineries promote sustainable utilization of marine resources while mitigating transportation emissions.

“The pilot refinery currently processes 1.5 tons of sargassum per day, but we’re hoping to scale it in terms of capacity and amount of refineries very soon. Plus, the sun-drying protocol is expected to dry and store many more tons,” Sønstebø explained.

Along with the environmental benefits of removing the invasive algae from the affected ecosystems, the micro-biorefineries will support economic growth and job creation in the affected areas. By engaging local communities, Thalasso aims to create jobs in harvesting, processing and research — driving inclusive, sustainable economic development in affected coastal regions.

Just had to take off my chest tape and it was unplanned (yep I have a schedule for that and it aligns with my job schedule so my skin can take a day off too) so I'm in the mood to talk about my experience with k-tape as a dude who's on the larger side (I mean what I mean these mfs have no business to be that big)

First I tried using k-tape for binding somewhat a year ago. And that was embarrassing cause I got the cheapest knock off thing 5cm × 5m. No matter how many tutorials I've watched tape just wasn't taping and flat chest wasn't flatchesting. This was where I said "screw y'all" and started wearing a binder. Ok, started wearing it really irresponsibly, and this torture waist damaged my ribcage to the point where it's sometimes painful to laugh too hard. I'm stealth at work and there's no way I'm entering the cafe suddenly having boobs, so I had to try using tape again, compression wasn't an option anymore

Endless love and appreciation for my skinny transmasc siblings but their methods of binding with k-tape are useless if you have the thing larger than an A cup

Applying:

- one layer of tape won't do shit. Period. No matter how firm, how stretchy, how wide it is, gravity is a bitch

- directions in what you apply the pieces is crucial so you don't make it look spherical

- larger chesticles ≠ longer piece of tape. You don't want it to go on your back, that's gonna be horribly difficult to take off by yourself

- the best results I got were done with laying down and letting the mfs slide somewhere near the armpits

- stretching the tape at the maximum it's capable of is temptating but you're gonna regret it so fucking much I promise. You wanna move and press the breast, not the tape attached to it

- if you can ask someone to assist you that's a perfect situation, cause they can see the whole picture, make sure there are no wrinkles and the direction is right (ps that turned out to be such a great bonding experience to me and my wife, recommend 100%)

- shave your damn armpits. You're gonna thank me later

Wearing:

- Be prepared for hygiene becoming The Task. You don't wanna disturb the thing too much, you don't wanna rub it or scratch it without a good reason, and most importantly you can forget about taking a bath or a hot shower. The solution I came to was a longer washcloth, that's really helpful in terms of keeping my back and shoulders properly washed

- Got a wrinkle? Take it off. Adhesive spontaneously stopped doing it's thing at some spot? Take it off. You have no idea how much you move your arms in day to day life, these things are gonna become blisters really fast, and these are painful and in fact an open gate for various infections, just like any injury

- If you wear it for too long that's gonna start smelling. Tape is a piece of cloth, and it accumulates sweat. The packaging may say anything the seller likes: it lasts 5 days, it lasts 5000000 days, but it's up to you how long it really lasts without making your life miserable

- Take your time to get completely dry after taking a shower before putting your clothes on

Taking it off:

- We don't wanna any blisters in this house, so we take as much time as needed to do the thing safely

- I've seen a shit ton of advices to use oils for taking the tape off. It works for a one layer application but it's essentially useless, if you have multiple layers of tape attached to your skin. The top layer gets completely soaked while the rest of them are dry af and then blisters blisters blisters. To make it effective you need a gallon of oil, and that's A) messy B) pricy, if you use cosmetic oils C) really difficult to get rid of it in the shower. Oils and soap create an emulsion and you spend hours in the shower and get left with sticky residue on your skin

- My method here: it's much easier to take a sticker off of a let's say glass, if you apply some heat to it. Blow-drying one's chest is something of hardcore edition, it's really uncomfortable and still can give you blisters and residue. What I do is giving myself a relaxing hot bath. I wait till the tape gets completely soaked and start slowly (I mean it) taking it off without leaving the bathtub. You wanna take it off the same direction you applied it. Btw this is where you're gonna thank me for saying that armpits need to be shaved. After the tape is taken off you still have some glue residue to get rid of. These who recommend using oils aren't entirely wrong. I apply some hair conditioner to the spot where the tape was and gently massage the skin. Most of the glue residue comes off at this point. Then just take a shower using a washcloth, apply some body lotion and you're good to go
