“What are you thinking right now?”
It’s a throwaway question, meant as something to fill the silence and an excuse for you to hear his lovely voice.
But the scratch of Wriothesley’s pen halts. Seated on his lap, his front to your back, you can feel the deep inhale he takes, and you glance over your shoulder to try to catch his expression.
As you do, your eyes immediately meet his icy blue— melted by warmth and affection, and trained on you. It’s enough to make heat rise to your face.
“Well,” his thumb rubs absent circles on your stomach. “Thinking about you, I guess.”
It’s a fight to not hide out of bashfulness, but you manage to speak— “What… what about me?”
A laugh leaves him, and he hugs you even closer. “Just the usual. How amazing you are. How perfectly you fit against me. What you might want for dinner. Y’know.”
Wriothesley leans his head against yours, nuzzling into your hair. His palms are so warm on your skin. He takes a deep breath, leaning into you more and melting against you like chocolate in the sun.
“Been thinking about how lucky I am, too. How fate is kind for pointing me in your direction, sweetheart.”
A soft, sweet kiss is pressed to the crown of your head. His next admission is a whisper, quiet and secret and for your ears only.
“Been thinking about how much I love you, how I can’t wait to be yours for the rest of my life, for as long as you’ll have me.”

I cannot even begin to describe how exciting it was to work on an official turtles project as an animator. It was one of those pipe dreams I had as a kid that never felt real, but here we are!! Hope everyone enjoys the show, the team gave it their all on this one!
