I do not believe that anything of what antis do (mass reporting people for fiction whose production and creation did not involve the abuse of any real person) helps at all in keeping children or others safe.

I would suggest if you are really worried about the safety of children to share information like this around.

I've seen proshippers on multiple occasions share internet safety tips and signs of abuse. Yet, antis scoffed at this sort of thing being "proshipper propaganda" and being "nice to try to groom people." You have to admit such a take is insane when proshippers are sharing real ways approved by official organizations for people to be safe online!

Sharing safety tips is good, but it doesn't erase the issue that many proship spaces actively normalize and defend disturbing content. You can’t claim to be protecting kids while also engaging in content that blurs the lines between what's acceptable and what's not.

Also, reporting content that romanticizes abuse isn’t about 'policing fiction'—it’s about preventing the normalization of harmful ideas. Studies show that repeated exposure to certain narratives can shift perception, especially in younger audiences. That’s why media literacy matters.

If proshippers truly wanted to be seen as a positive force, they’d acknowledge the harm within their community instead of constantly deflecting to ‘but antis do bad things too.’ Both sides have toxic people, but that doesn’t justify normalizing abusive ships or attacking those who speak out against it
