In canon, a kwami's power must be used through a human wielding a miraculous, otherwise it'll have unforeseen consequences. So, in your AU, does Imago stealing Marinette's agonies cause any sort of trouble?

honestly the biggest unforeseen consequence is that this dude is around and being himself

no but for real, there should be a hypermassive consequence for a kwami unfettered peeking their head in, but there's not because of shit we'll get into later.

just consider it like this for the time being: now that Marinette is a sage and is capable of communing with the gods, she as a living being can be used as that intermediate conduit for power instead of the miraculous gems. If it was Tikki, for example, using her power raw with sage!Marinette, Mari would be able to access the power of creation or be swayed by it - however, it would put a massive strain on her, as she's not a miraculous but still capable of acting as that pipeline.

The reason Marinette has no ill effects from Imago, however, is because Imago is playing with a catch 22. Their purpose was to take agony away from Marinette, so even the exhaustion of accessing the unfettered power of a god was something he stole from her, so it seems like zero consequences have been had. In truth Imago is now SO tired holy moly and they DO NOT LIKE IT LMAO

Originally all members of Helen's Housewife Association - even Barb, her journalist status making her an invaluable source of gossip to Helen, earning her honorary guest status despite being single... But that bliss did not last for long. Petty squabbles end up blowing everything up into a full out housewife cold war - with Helen's original group on one side, and Sally's on the other.

Thus is created the opposing 'Housewife' Association, with a much looser definition of the term... But really, more of a group of friends borne out of pettiness to support each other. Though they still poke at each other too from time to time... What else are friends for?

its not polar bears per se, but if you dont mind i would like to ramble a little bit about a marine animal for no reason in particular, i just really like talking about him.

i work in an aquarium. we have a Crechur, his name is Groman. Groman is a loggerhead sea turtle, about 4 feet from head to tail and just about as wide. he has a checkup with his vet soon to be weighed, but right now we estimate him to be between 250 and 350lbs! my aquarium aquired him from a different aquarium in our area in 2003 and he's been here ever since, and even though we dont know his hatch date or even year we can estimate him to be late 20s-early 30s! (which is pretty young, considering loggerheads can live to be around 100 years old!!)

i love groman so much, he is very handsome, his favorite hobbies include:

pretending to be a rock

swimming into the corner for literal hours

sneaking up on people when their backs are turned

popping his head out for like three seconds and then going back to the corner

when he does decide to grace us with his presence, we call it "showing off" he is very photogenic and seems to actually pose! when we used to do dive shows he would (gently, lovingly) harass the divers a lot, hes very silly!

If I hadn't found her already I would say this turtle is my soulmate. I mean, we do seem to share a lot of hobbies! I would love to see pictures, but I understand if that's not possible.

Working at an aquarium sounds so fun, honestly!!! I love animals, and I know that interacting with them is always going to lead to some funny places. If you have more stories to share, please do!

I've only been to an aquarium once, when I was about nine. I remember very little, but I did see the fattest shark you can imagine, so that's a fond memory.

this post by oomf (follow them theyre cool) made me think about how good of a crackship this is because while im not into it in a normal way like i fucking LOVE the idea of them getting married at some point and phoenix legally becoming apollo's step dad. the mere thought has me kicking my legs and LMAO because imagine being apollo in this situation where your boss (that you already hate) who is already trying to act like a father figure (which you resent him for) legally becomes your step-dad by marrying your mother (who yourself have barely gotten to know at all). This is apollo's worst nightmare. He has woken up suddenly from a deep sleep in a cold sweat because of this at least once.

This should be canon not because its the best pairing for phoenix or whatever but because it creates the BEST family tree.

assuming klapollo that means phoenix would be both apollo's step father and boss, it would make klavier phoenix's son-in-law, and by extension, also make KRISTOPH an extended in-law. this is the funniest possible timeline.

(my ii3 rewatch is going swell! i'm quite enjoying myself.)

it is sort of funny how nickel goes from blaming everything on balloon in ii2 to blaming everything on clover in ii3. he very much wants to contextualize his misfortune, wanting someone to get mad at (he doesn't like feeling in the wrong personally, and i doubt he'd like to think he's just unlucky); when he starts to get along with balloon in ii3, he needs another scapegoat, and clover's the perfect pick...

as i was saying, nickel seems to have some hidden guilt about treating balloon badly before, with his stubborn, heels-dug-in hatred of balloon fading away now that he doesn't have to save face in front of baseball and suitcase. of course, he wants to save face in front of balloon too, so he half-passes it off as box suggesting it (he always wants a passive lackey to help him push for what he really wants, huh?). nickel's caught in a limbo of not wanting to seem like he had a sudden heel-face turn/change of heart, but also wanting to express that he genuinely enjoys balloon's company (because he's actually letting himself do so now). he isn't being explicitly nice to balloon, but he's simultaneously secretive about the fact that he only did it because "box" told him to -- he doesn't want balloon to think his amicability is nothing more than obligatory, but he doesn't want to be vulnerable either. really interesting stuff.

in any event, nickel's friendlier with balloon now, so obviously balloon could no longer be his scapegoat. he still doesn't like feeling guilty for his own mistakes, nor does he enjoy his troubles being blameless, so he picks clover as his target: largely because he's cynical and can't cope with the idea of pure goodwill, happiness, and innocence which clover represents. she is everything that he isn't, but at the same time what he wants to be; he resents that. this cynicism about clover probably connects with his cynicism about balloon in ii2 -- he initially couldn't wrap his head around a manipulative person changing for the better. weirdly, he still hasn't completely gotten over balloon's heel-face turn as of now (he still doesn't believe in that kind of change, at least not fully), and yet he's still chummy with balloon. as far as i can tell, nickel is strongly projecting his own reservations onto balloon: that he himself can't change and be a good person.

I originally made Saffron for an F/F romance Neve, but somehow wound up liking the idea of him as an Illario-romancing trans man the more I developed him.

Zaffi was one of the slaves of Ambrose Forfex that Illario (reluctantly) freed during The Wigmaker Job.

Was female-presenting and going by "Saffron" when Illario met him

Began transitioning a little more than a year before the events of Veilguard

Lost track of his sister when they were teens; takes a "break" from the Crows after ruining Crow plans by attacking Antaam slavers. He uses the time to look for his sister.

As a slave, he and his sister were bought and sold repeatedly as a "set" for blood magic experiments and as body slaves

Zaffi has extensive burn scarring, mostly on the right side of his face and body, from a blood ritual gone awry. He also lost vision in his right eye.

Was sold separately from his sister for the first time shortly afterward as they were no longer identical and their master at the time considered him "ugly".

He internalized his former master and subsequent masters calling him ugly and suffers from body dysmorphic disorder because of it.

After Illario frees him, Zaffi follows Illario to Antiva and insists on joining the Crows.

Zaffi shaves his head after being freed, in defiance of the Wigmaker Forfex. It makes his scars more noticeable, however, so he wears hoods and scarves a lot until his hair grows long enough to cover his face again.

Illario and Zaffi work together a lot as Crows who are very good at seduction and charm. They become friends and eventual friends-with-benefits, drawn to each other as two very fucked up individuals.

Illario falls in love with Zaffi pretty quickly, but somehow convinces himself that he needs to be First Talon partly to impress him, partly so he can ensure Zaff doesn't have to take seduction jobs anymore... but mostly because Illario has severe familial issues. Let's be real.

Zaffi has feelings for Illario, but 1) doesn't think he's worthy of a Dellamorte; 2) has an idealized, false image of Illario in his head because (in Zaff's eyes) Illario saved him from slavery and Illario presents himself as a good person; and 3) subconsciously understands that he doesn't know the real Illario and is scared to find out who he is and develop real intimacy with him.

Illario calls him "Spezia" as a joke, because saffron is a spice. He changes it to "Sapore" after Zaffi transitions.

Illario starts distancing himself from Zaffi when he (Illario) starts implementing his plans against Lucanis. Illario knows Zaffi would be VERY angry that he's working with a Venatori magister.

Zaffi starts transitioning after Illario stops coming around. He had been putting it off because he was scared of taking that big first step, but also because he thought Illario preferred women.

He changes his name from Saffron to Zafferano in an effort to redefine himself as an Antivan and as a man. He also gets top surgery.

Zaffi goes on his forced hiatus a few weeks before Lucanis gets captured.

Illario is VERY surprised when Zaffi returns to Treviso. The last time they saw each other was before Zaff's transition.

Zaffi is LIVID when he eventually learns from Viago that Illario betrayed Lucanis and shacked up with Zara.

When Illario and Lucanis face off at the opera house, Zaffi is there watching. He wants Lucanis to win but doesn't want Illario to die either.

Illario is imprisoned. Zaffi goes to help the Crows at the Battle of Minrathous. Afterwards, Zaffi visits Illario to check on him and to call him an idiot.

Lucanis eventually decides to give Illario a second chance after Pa'ani suggests Illario be invited to their wedding, about a year and a half after Elgar'nan is defeated.

Zaffi and Illario reconnect during and after the wedding, through talking, drunken antics/pranks, and some kissing. Zaffi is ready to get to know Illario for real and start a romantic relationship, but wants to take things slow. Illario is just happy they're even talking again.

They eventually take a lot of jobs in Tevinter together so that Illario can help Zaffi find his twin sister.
