Enjoyed immensely another fabulous 1:1 Whimsical Portraits Art session yesterday with the gorgeous Suzi Suzanne Maree ~ cuppa’s, deep dive conversation, companionship and art making to chilled tunes ❤️❤️❤️ I absolutely love Suzi’s style of faces she does and it makes me so happy when she is super excited what appears on the canvas at the end of the day ~ always an emotional connection and conversation at a deep level with the faces painted. Something a little bit different today in one of my 1:1 art mentoring sessions with a client this morning ~ painting with our toes to get free of the logical and rigid left brained approach! 😂😆👣 It was not on the session ‘plan’ for today but that’s what I LOVE about my work...the ideas pop out of no where as we ‘work’! Here are the paintings created by the fabulous ladies from @hobo&hatch yesterday! Whilst the focus of the Workshop was primarily on the process and sitting in the energy of self love and creating our Self Love Selfie Portraits from this place...we covered some basic colour theory & brush/blending techniques using acrylics and at the end of it, they all had a gorgeous painting to take home with them that they were happy with! 😀 We also explored communing with our inner critic, as well as practicing detachment and letting go and acknowledging our tendencies towards perfectionism...all the while nibbling on melting moments, florentines, chocolate eclairs, as well as smoked salmon & avocado on rye and sipping tea and...later, bubbles! However from the beginning of our lives we receive messages in all kinds of ways that say: do NOT be this inherent creativity that you are. In effect, CENSOR yourself. TEMPER yourself. DIM yourself.
