(Make sure to check out Alaris by @crescencestudio on itch.io <3)
Ive been hyperfixating on Alaris lately and decided to make some keychains! I will not be selling them, they were something I wanted to make to put on my bags :D They took way longer to make than I thought but I really like how they turned out 😭
(It started out as a simple little thing and I ended up putting a LOT of thought into the aesthetic and bead placement)
i don't think i've ever blogged a project (or anything else) before. hm.
anyway, here's a jacket that i'm working on for my first drag look! i'm currently putting a lace applique over the letters so they look a little nicer, then i'll be installing the lights and hand stitching them over the top. oh and i've already added pink fringe to the sleeves! there's going to be a lot of trim and sparkly bits on this thing when i'm done :)
thank you for coming to cricket's crafting hour, i shall add new progress pictures when i have them
i wanted to make her a veggie bowl w a handle that i could hook something onto to lower it into her tank/take it out, bc its a bit crowded in there and my hand kept bonking her lil "coop."
thinking about cricket sherwood AGAIN and how his view of iterative personhood shapes everything he does!! because it doesn't matter until it DOES — before cicada, he's happy to lie about the fact he knows he isn't the "real" cricket, that that version of themself is probably long-dead and he doesn't care in the slightest — and after, it matters in a way he doesn't even know how to explain out loud.
they iterate a version of themself with an accent reminiscent of the red dirt in their youth, give back a name he buried a long time ago, and send them back to the valley to move on from cicada (even though they both know it's impossible) and it's at that moment i think they finally acknowledge the space between themselves now and a dozen years ago and who-knows-how-long into the future are less than they pretend to be, that every version past and present still wears a threadbare friendship bracelet and ignore the weight that carries. etc etc.
I find it so fucking cute that SOMEONE within Allied sat down and made logoed clothing. Like someone and their corny-ass sat down and was like this is a must. That they needed a form of unity and TEAM HOODIES WAS IT.

Custom painting for a gift. The old cow and cricket theme is based on our friendship and unpublished book writing. I clearly gave up the taping idea part way. But overall came out good.
i set up poppyseeds new tank and im tryna move her in, but...
she doesnt wanna leave the jr. tube!
cmon seedling its okay! come out and explore your cool new house!
youve probs noticed the wonky lil blue "spricket coop" i made her with my 3d pen, ahaha. heres a better pic of it from last night when i finished it!
very crude, very messy, but (hopefully) functional! its more of a proof of concept than anything, to see if it works before i put the effort into tryna make a nicer, prettier one someday. if shes not into it, i can always give it to bagel and see what he thinks.
