Hotch vs arsonists/fire - part 1 [part 2]

image one:(1x02) Hotch gently but urgently explains to Gideon that Clara isn’t doing this maliciously, saying “Clara Hayes is very likely a good person. Someone who never wanted to do anyone any harm.”

image two:(1x02) After Hotch (and Reid) explain the irrational nature of her OCD, Gideon asks “What are you trying to say?” Hotch replies with “Don’t try to convince her to stop, because you won’t be able to.”

image three and four:(1x02) After Hotch had tried and failed to reason with Clara, he shoots her in the leg to stop her. Gideon says “I thought you said not to reason with her.” to Hotch as he stares at her. Hotch, without responding to Gideon, looks away, wincing slightly.

image five:(2x19) Hotch stares at a picture from a family, victims of the arsonist. The image is of the mother holding her baby.

image six:(2x19) Tearfully, Hotch offers to stay with the mother as she succumbs to her burns.

image seven:(2x19) Hotch seemingly spaces out while staring at a burnt shoe, belonging to a child from the most recent victims of the arsonist.

image eight:(2x19) Profiling and empathizing with Evan Abby(not the arsonist) Gideon pushes Hotch on what Abby’s next move would be. Hotch asserts “I’d stop him(the arsonist).” Gideon asks “How?” Hotch answers emotionally “I’d burn him.”

image nine:(2x19) Gideon and Morgan physically hold Hotch back from attempting to approach a burning building, the arsonist and Evan Abby stuck inside.

image ten:(2x19) Hotch watches the building become engulfed in flames and tearfully says about Abby “He wanted his death to mean something.”

Criminal Minds rewatch

Because of the revival news I am rewatching the series from the beginning.

1x02-Compulsoin

• Elle asking Gideon why the unsub stutters and him really just telling her that she’s part of the BAU now and to figure it out. Gideon really just could have answered her question. Like I get it but still 😭

• Spencer’s hair looks better this episode then in 1x01

• I miss JJ as the liaison.

• Why do all of these extras look like they don’t want to be there that or like they’ve never taken an acting class in their life.

• I spoke to soon about Spencer’s hair.

• I don’t why later on in the show they stop with the sequences of a character (typically Derek) stopping at a place a picturing themselves as the unsub to understand their motives more idk why but I liked it.

• Ok when Elle and Morgan see the fire starting they just stop and stare and suddenly remember fire run and there is Hotch running in his suit with shades on

• I don’t dislike Gideon as much as I remembered disliking Gideon

• Also sometimes they treat “profiling” like it’s some sort of magic that will give you all of the answers of life and that kind of irks me.

• Poor Reid struggling to talk to the students 😂😂

• Morgan and Garcia’s banter is one of my favorite things on this show.

• Elle and Derek also had a greatly underrated dynamic.

• Hotch sounds dead inside and we are only on episode two

• I love how one of the girls in the elevator was yelling for help when the fire alarms were going off as if anyone could hear her.

• Earlier in the episode I thought it was pointless to mention the key in the elevator but that piece of information turned out to be useful

• Oooh Elle figured out the stutter
