I - I love you [how fast would they say ‘i love you’?]

it would be a while before cooper considered saying it. it would take some big feelings for cooper to trust someone enough to date them, along with his whole hesitation to trust that anything is going to last. once you start dating, he takes his time settling into it. months go by before he really starts to get comfortable in the idea of you sticking around - of you being a permanent fixture in his life. and he just gets so content with you being a part of his everyday. you come over and hang out, you’ll get food together or go skating or exploring or cause general mischief, you’ll game together, you’ll smoke together. and then, one day after you’ve left, he’s sitting on the couch, just comfily wallowing in his high. and he can’t stop thinking about you. he thinks about all the things you’ve done together, and all the things the future holds. he doesn’t notice the dopey smile curving his lips until sam, who’s on the other couch, points it out. “what are you smiling about?”

and cooper’s head snaps up and it hits him like a fucking bus. “i think i love them-”

J - Jealousy [how jealous do they get? how do they act when they’re jealous?]

cooper doesn’t really strike me as the jealous type. he’s very secure in your relationship and the fact that you won’t leave him for someone else. you guys are super close, able to read each other just by looking at one another. he knows that you would never cheat on him, and he makes sure that you know the opposite of that as well. that being said, just because he doesn’t get jealous doesn’t mean he doesn’t get angry. he doesn’t care if people disrespect him; what bothers him is when people think they get to make you uncomfortable for the sake of “being forward.” cooper does not stand for other people treating you poorly. zero tolerance for anything that makes you second-guess being there. it definitely comes across as him being jealous, but you know better. if some rando is all up in your personal bubble and you look uncomfortable, like you’re searching for some kind of out, cooper won’t hesitate to slide in and save you. arm around your shoulder, he’ll push the other person back with a hand to their shoulder. “hey man, i think it’s time to step off.” once the situation has been handled [no matter how gritty], he’ll always check on you afterwards, offering to take you home and just watch a movie instead of hanging out wherever you are.

L - Little Ones [how are they around kids? do they want kids?]

coop would be impartial to kids. doesn’t hate them but doesn’t care much for them either. he’s pretty decent with kids! pretty passive and laid back, but really encouraging at the same time. he would always entertain the kids when they asked him to play in the moments where he felt like it, and he’s definitely one to tell the little ones when they’re doing great or, if not, how to fix/improve in what they’re doing. usually on the sidelines though; think cool cousin energy.

for his own kids - again, he’d be impartial. it would be something that either you’d have to decide and make a point out of telling him, or something that would happen without any planning. i can see him being really good with his own kids as well! he wouldn’t realize how excited he was or how much he wanted his own kids until he had a real opportunity to have them. then he’d be super down. horrendously, atrociously down. as down as one can possibly be /lh. he’ll be super active in their lives. [for the sake of the headcanons, let’s assume that he has multiple little babies running around with you, okay?] his kids are in clubs? he’s figuring out how to pitch in. there’s a PTA meeting next week? he’ll be there early. his kids play sports? best believe he’s driving them to every practice, bringing snacks for the team, and showing up to every single game with a camera. and, of course, he turns them into little skaters.

K - Kisses [what are their kisses like? where do they kiss their s/o, and where do they like to be kissed?]

i feel like, despite the hard facade he puts up about being nonchalant and uncaring towards pretty much everyone, cooper would be really tender and playful with you. his kisses would be really soft, mostly cheeks or forehead kisses while he’s holding you. sometimes, if he’s feeling extra romantic, he’ll kiss the back of your hand. or when he’s hugging you from behind with his face buried in your neck, he’ll kiss you in the space where your neck meets your shoulder - the kind of kiss that makes you giggle and blush bright red. other days, when he’s feeling a little more affectionate and there are less people around [usually lazy days], he’ll kiss any part of you he can reach. very much strikes me as one of those guys that will wake up late on a lazy sunday morning, find you making breakfast in the kitchen, grab you from behind and not let you go so that he can absolutely shower you in kisses.

when receiving kisses, cooper is a sucker for that good, tender shit. i feel like it would be rare for you to kiss him, just because he’s always skateboarding and running around with his friends and generally being a little shit /lh. you’re really understanding and respectful of his space and his time, which he obviously really appreciates, but that also means that he doesn’t get a whole lot of kisses from you because he’s busy. but when you do kiss him, god he’s so soft for it. he likes when you do that thing - when you specifically ask him if you can give him a kiss because it separates him from the situation and puts his attention on you. and he likes when you hold his face and bring him down to you [or up to you, if you’re taller than him!] so that you can reach and kiss him. he pretends that he hates nose kisses, but they secretly give him butterflies. he also likes when you give him cheek kisses, especially if it’s on your way out the door because he feels like it’s an indicator that you’re thinking of him, even when your main train of thought is elsewhere. and he likes when you kiss his jaw right by his ear, it just feels so special and intimate and private. also! when you’re cleaning him up after a nasty skateboarding injury and you kiss his boo-boos once he’s all cleaned up - he pretends that he hates it but he actually finds it so sweet.

R - Romantic [how romantic are they? do they go all out for dates, or do they prefer staying home?]

i feel like he’s romantic in his own way. he’s not the kind of guy that’s super vocal about his feelings for you, so he’d find other ways to show you that he cares. he’d have some soft moments with you - definitely not opposed to it! but they’re few and far between. he’d love to cuddle you on the regular, but things like dancing in the kitchen late at night with you or singing to you in the car would be rare occurrences. 

cooper strikes me as a guy that doesn’t like being home when he doesn’t need to be. he’s already usually out running around with his friends, so why would he keep you at home too? so i definitely think he would take you out for dates. definitely not anything super fancy unless it was something you had specifically talked about. but he’d mostly take you out for fast food at the park or to the beach to watch the sunset or on skateboarding dates - something like that. when you guys do have date nights at home, it’s usually stuff like your guys’ favorite movies or video games or him teaching you how to skate out front and such.
