I may or may not have written a line in Buttercup where Cullen offered his warm hands to Uava because she pressed up against his very cold metal chest plate with only a thin shirt on...

I still refuse to draw detailed faces
I saw and absolutely ADORED @palipunk 's Inquisitor x Cullen painting in kind of a redraw over a classical painting and I couldn't get it out of my head to try and do the same thing with my inky and Cullen. Anyways check out their art because great tits it's breathtaking.
EDIT BECAUSE I AM A FOOL:
I accidentally referenced a painting by a lovely artist on Deviantart!!! I genuinely thought it was some old painting. Tiktok, while it has lovely edits of paintings, it's not exactly a reliable place for era accurate paintings. I probably should've just scoured my art history books for references in honesty. Please check out BugBug on deviantart because again good gracious amazing amazing art.

In the Shattering of Things, Ch. 31: On the Altar of the Maker
Rose makes the ascent to the temple ruins under the great waking eye of the Breach to meet her fate.
Chapter 31 of my Dragon Age Inquisition longfic In the Shattering of Things featuring Rose Trevelyan/Cullen and Rose/Hawke.
Excerpt below. Read it on AO3
.....
“Why am I detecting a resonation spell?” Solas asks sharply.
“Kaffas!” mutters Dorian. “And now the chickens come home to roost.”
“It’s protection. For the Herald,” says Cullen defiantly.
“Protection?!” inquires Solas.
“Yes, protection,” pipes up Dorian. “We thought you were being a little too flippant about Rose’s survival.”
“What sort?” Solas demands, outraged.
“Vivienne and I worked out a resonance spell with Alexius at Cullen’s behest.”
“You?” says Solas, though it’s unclear if he’s directing it at Dorian or at Cullen.
“Cullen? Is it true?” asks Cassandra, shocked.
“Why would I deny it!?” he answers tersely. “Of course I did it.”
“You could jeopardize the entire attempt!” cries Solas.
“I’d rather do that than jeopardize her life,” Cullen spits back.
“Her life is on the line already, look at her!” The arguments fall silent over me as they gaze upon me, leveled by the spreading mark. I force my eyes open
“I can do it,” I tell them.
“There’s no possible way for the resonance to interfere,” explains Dorian. “She’s simply matching the same frequency as the spell we’ve practiced. If anything it will amplify the effect of the magic.”
“A theory in the greatest sense! How could you be so heedless? What if the attempt fails now? The mark will surely claim her before we can try again,” Solas continues. There’s shuffling in the snow as they grapple with the predicament.
“Not a theory. We tested it,” says Dorian.
“On who?” Solas’ anger feels like a maelstrom against the backdrop of his usual restrained manner.
“On me,” says Cullen firmly. “They tested the amulet on me and then tested the Breach spell.”....
