A rant before the day ends, this is for people who didn't understand Clotted Cream's character. And for me, because I love him (It could be seen as an analysis but I'm mostly just rambling)

This is entirely self indulgent and probably completely biased, I want to make sure that's clear lmao

With the popularity of Jambound (love the fic, genuinely one of the best things to read if you like shadowvanilla) I've noticed how a lot of people straight up hate Clotted Cream Cookie on crktwt.

(I'm not saying everyone was super serious about it, some of it was definitely more in a joking manner, but I know that some other comments weren't ironic)

The fic doesn't portray him badly- in fact, for the amount of time he gets he's actually pretty accurate to canon.

And listen, the guy is annoying. We can all agree that he's fundamentally a grey character that isn't necessarily supposed to be extremely likable.

But genuinely hate him?? For his character??? I didn't know people still did that! I genuinely thought everyone had appreciated him more after finishing the Odyssey and the hype around him died down.

Because, I've seen people hate him back when the Odyssey first released because he was too popular or because he had a fake persona, but I've seen people on twt express that they hated Clotted Cream more after they finished the Odyssey in full!!

I feel like Clotted Cream is a pretty nuanced character, and that he grew a lot through the story. Just not in a super noticeable way, but rather, in the small things. He's definitely still the same person, with the same political mannerisms that would annoy anyone, but he's not...evil like some people say he is.

(Here I'm going to start talking about spoilers, so feel free to stop reading if you haven't finished the Odyssey)

When you finish the Odyssey, I feel like you're supposed to understand him better and be able to come to terms with some of his more questionable actions.

He's not two-faced simply because it's enjoyable for him to be. He's two-faced because he's been raised as a political weapon by his adopted father.

He is discouraged from seeing his biological mother, even though it's clear that he doesn't truly want to sever their connection and he still cares about her to some degree. But because he's the definition of a politician, he knows that acknowledging her in his position will only do more harm than good.

And I know it's nicer to believe that he can just turn the tide and change the entire thing, but that's not how the republic works. Or at least it's not how Clotted Cream thinks the republic works.

His connection to his mother can be used against him at any time, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what Elder Custard has told him his entire life.

Even though he follows Elder Custard's orders and advice, he doesn't like doing so, and it's very clear from the fact that he betrays him the moment he's given a chance to.

It's not only to further his own goals, but because Clotted Cream cares deeply about the republic! Everything in his life has always revolved into protecting and serving the place, and he will do anything to do so.

And because of that, the eyes of the republic are also always on him. Whether it is to make himself useful or to help people, or just to prove himself like he's always been told to do to be worthy, he's doing what he thinks is right while still trying not to fully fall from power.

In politics, this is playing smart.

He tries to gather information on what is happening because it's important for him to know. He talks Gingerbrave into telling him more, but he never extorts him into speaking up about what happened. It's important for Clotted Cream to know what happened with Dark Enchantress, whether he was using that information to gain access to the souljams or not.

People thinking that Pure Vanilla trusted him too easily are treating Pure Vanilla like someone naive. He knows what Clotted Cream is doing, and he understands that ultimately it's because of a sense of duty. It doesn't matter that it's not to the Vanilla Kingdom, because those in the republic are what Clotted Cream cares for.

Also. Nobody in the Republic truly cares about the Vanilla Kingdom, they're only interested in it for their own legacy and prestige it gives them, they don't fully care or understand Pure Vanilla's wishes and teachings. It's only natural that Clotted Cream, having grown up with this idea in mind, doesn't fully see the extent of the importance of what Pure Vanilla preaches at the start and is only concerned with his own goals as a consul.

And even then, Clotted Cream is still one of the firsts to realize the Five Heroes' importance to earth bread and the protection of cookie kind.

Nobody but Clotted Cream could have made this promise, because no one else in the republic truly trusted in the heroes' abilities! (And those who did either couldn't do anything, or wouldn't bother to do anything) Clotted Cream gained immense political power after Dark Enchantress' attack and used it to follow Pure Vanilla.

People seem to forget that the one orchestrating most of the bad things with the souljams is Elder Custard. Clotted Cream is the one that gathers enough power by his side, takes power away from his father, and manages to go through with both his plan to make stronger soldiers for the republic he so dearly wants to protect while also helping Gingerbrave and co. Into returning the souljams.

(Elder Custard didn't flee only because of the attack, a smaller reason why he fled was because he was trying to save face! This was all going to come bite him in the ass, and he knew his connection to Clotted Cream was unlikely to be able to save him from the fall this time around)

Yes, it's a bit infuriating that he has to be told about things to go through with helping, but I think that just makes his character more interesting.

Because, why does he do that? Why does he always wait for confirmation or encouragement from someone to fully act?

Is it because he's been raised like that and he can't bring himself to disobey authority figures unless it's done behind everyone's backs? Or is it because he's aimless without his role in the republic, and is constantly walking on a thin line of trying to think for himself while also having to put on a perfect face?

There's even a line in a loading screen explaining that he had to spend hours, probably as a kid, practicing a perfect smile before going out into the public! That's not something someone who doesn't feel pressured or feels like they can be themselves freely does.

It's always implied that he's scared something will go wrong because of his actions. He knows his position is important, so everything he does can bring destruction to everything he's worked for, and that's scary.

You can even see this in the way he reacts to Dark Enchantress' attack. He's done the best he could but- was it enough? This power is simply too much, did he make a mistake? How many casualties are going to come from this? Will he be able to come out of this unscathed?

He has to be pulled away from those thoughts with the help of someone else, and yet there's not a single moment in which he considers the option of being a coward and leaving.

He wants to fight for his home. Not for his ancestors or for house custard, but for those that count of him- and yes, most importantly, he fights for himself. And I don't think that's wrong. I just think people compare him to Pure Vanilla's kindness a bit too much.

(I love PV but his levels of compassion cannot be replicated by anyone else, even his own people lmao)

At the end of the third chapter, he even goes back to the Vanilla Kingdom and tries to be himself a little more, opening up a bit, even if he still can't fully let go of the perfect mask he's put on his entire life. When the children offer him raisins, he hesitates before accepting them- you can tell that he's trying to be warmer in a more genuine way, he has no reason to accept the raisins if he didn't like them and/or wanted to make the children happy.

And in the Christmas Story Event (I don't remember the name, I apologize) he goes to visit his mother! Because he realizes that "I have full control of my life now, I can allow myself to do these kind of things"

A little extra: the only interaction he has (at least that it's recorded in the wiki) with another cookie is with Milky Way! Based on her words, they had met in dreams, possibly being that Clotted Cream had once been in the Dream Express but forgot about it.

For what we have seen, those who appear into the express either have a destination, are searching for something, or have lost their path.

It's implied that Clotted Cream was most likely a child when he entered the Dream Express, therefore- maybe he got there when he got adopted into house custard? Milky Way says that Clotted Cream spoke about being a custard cookie with no custard in his dough, which is only something a young Clotted Cream would have admitted to being an issue for him.

To me, this just proves the point that he's always trying to prove himself as worthy. Aside from the fact that Elder Custard is constantly pressuring him into playing his part and making House Custard greater.

It is literally said by Elder Custard that if he had more family left, he wouldn't even have adopted Clotted Cream in the first place! That places a heavy toll of a child.

What I'm trying to say is- yes, Clotted Cream is the definition of a guy that you know is fake but everyone loves him so you can't do anything about it, and that's rightfully annoying! He's an annoying character!!

Some of the things he does or say are brushed off way too fast for the sake of the plot, and that's also annoying.

But Clotted Cream himself, especially after having finished the Odyssey in its entirety? I feel like he's a pretty well written character, and I don't truly understand why people hate him so much.

Especially because a lot of people that hate him love Shadow Milk, I've seen them portray Fount of Knowledge exactly the way Clotted Cream's character plays out and everyone loves him for it! But for Clotted Cream is somehow a bad thing.

But maybe that's just me. Sorry for the heavy rant, I just really like Clotted Cream lmao

I have a small idea on how to continue this if you're interested.

(You don't have to if you don't want to.)

Basically, Gingerbrave's friends, (Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie at first) are with the Ancient's as they look for Gingerbrave. Eventually, they encounter the beasts again but this time it's while Gingerbrave is healing. While the beasts and Ancient's fight, Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie look for something to help the Ancient's win. Only to suddenly encounter Gingerbrave in his new form while healing from the previous injury that Dark Cacao gave him.

Instead of preparing for a fight, they recognize Gingerbrave and ask him what had happened. This is where Gingerbrave explains things from his perspective. Once Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie find out what happened, they slowly decide to join the beasts because they deeply missed Gingerbrave and got rather worried about his injury.

If the Ancient's find out about the two joining the beasts and ask why they did it? Strawberry Cookie might get emotional and yell at Dark Cacao for hurting Gingerbrave.

Chili Pepper Cookie and Custard Cookie The 3rd can also be put in there somehow if you want some more angst.

Again, you don't have to if you don't want to. It was just an idea that came back to my mind after reading your post about Gingerbrave being 'adopted' by the beasts. And I really loved the Beast Brave post! And that one post where the Gingerbrave Gang became Ancient's is amazing!

Broken Beast, another way

The Ancients were on their way to Beast yeast, speaking about their plans to try get rid of the Beasts once and for all, with Strawberry cookie and Wizard cookie trailing along with them for the sake of adventure. Adventuring might be able to take their minds of the gap between them.

The two trailed slightly behind the adults, speaking quietly to each other. They were also communicating with Chili Pepper cookie and Custard cookie iii through a phone Chili Pepper stole for them. Their voices were quiet enough so the ancients couldn't hear them.

Chili Pepper cookie: So, how's the adventure going, huh?

Custard cookie iii: yeah, see anything cool?

Strawberry cookie sighs and looks around a bit, not finding anything of interest. She hasn't been quite themselves since the disappearance of their friend, none of them had. It was like they all of them lost a part of themselves. Seeing that she's not gonna respond, Wizard cookie decided to speak.

Wizard cookie: it's been... uneventful. But it could be worse.

Strawberry cookie: it'd be better if he were still here...

silence.

They all needed a moment to process that. Wizard cookie gave her a warning glance, causing her to shut up. Sensing the tension, Custard cookie iii tried to lighten the mood.

Custard cookie iii: Heyyy, who knows? M-maybe- no, he'll come back! I know he will! He's the bravest cookie to walk earthbread and he always bounces back.

Another moment of silence, but with a lighter meaning.

Chili Pepper cookie: The kid's right you know. Don't give up on him just yet.

Strawberry cookie thought for a bit, but a tiny hopeful smile played on her lips.

Strawberry cookie: I just hope you're right-

Pure Vanilla cookie: Kids, we're here!

The two looked up at Pure Vanilla cookie, who's standing in front of a temple entrance. The other ancients have already entered.

Wizard cookie: we're coming!

Pure vanilla cookie nods and heads on inside.

Custard cookie iii: be careful you guys!

Strawberry cookie: we will be

Chili Pepper cookie: no, seriously. We can't lose anymore friends. Please.

Wizard cookie: we promise! We all have to be brave. It's what he would've wanted.

With that, they ended the call. They share a quick glance, a silent promise to survive, before heading into the temple. Unsurprisingly though, a fierce battle had already broken out between the Ancients and the Beasts. The two knew they weren't gonna be of much use trying to fight, so they decided to search the place for something to help the Ancients.

Wizard cookie: See anything?

Strawberry cookie: not ye-

Just then, she bumps into another cookie. Immediately, the two ready their weapons, but their resolve crumbled into pure disbelief just as instantly. Their weapons clattered to the floor as they stared the one cookie they haven't seen in ages.

Strawberry cookie: ...Gingerbrave?...

Her voice was below a whisper as tears pricked in the corner of her eyes. Gingerbrave stared right back, face contorted into a blend of disbelief, shock, and even a bit of relief. Wizard cookie was frozen, trying to convince himself it was real.

Gingerbrave:... guys?... is it really...

Both: Gingerbrave!!!

Strawberry cookie launched onto him in a strong embrace, followed by Wizard cookie. Both let tears flow from their cheeks as they clung onto him.

Strawberry cookie: You're alive!!! You're actually alive!!! You had me worried sick!!!

Wizard cookie: We missed you so much!!!

Slowly, Gingerbrave hugged them back as tears started rolling down his cheeks.

Gingerbrave: you guys... I missed you too...

His voice came out as a broken sob as he held his closest friends again for the first time he was a beast. And then it hit him. He slowly broke away from the hug.

Gingerbrave: You guys... you shouldn't be here... why are you here?...

Strawberry cookie: The Ancients came to defeat the Beasts and we tagged along cuz adventuring would reduce the pain of your disappearance.

Wizard cookie: wait- why are you here?... and what happened to you?

Gingerbrave let out a sigh before explaining everything, from when he became a beast, to when the beasts took him in, to the fight the beasts had with the ancients that resulted in his leg injury, and all the way up until this moment.

And by the end of his explanation, Strawberry cookie was seething and Wizard cookie looked extremely worried.

Strawberry cookie: Dark Cacao cookie did WHAT?!

Gingerbrave: yeah... but don't worry, Mystic Flour cookie helped me.

Wizard cookie: and the beasts are... looking after you?...

Gingerbrave: crazy, isn't it. I used to think they were heartless but they're not. They're capable of empathy. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true.

The two took a moment of silence as they came to terms with it all. Gingerbrave being a beast was one of the hardest things to process.

Strawberry cookie: s-so...

Wizard cookie: does this mean you're not coming back?...

Gingerbrave: I-...

He stays silent, unable to provide an answer. At least, not an answer that'd make them happy. The silence stretched on and this left Strawberry cookie and Wizard cookie to ask themselves a question.

"Are they ready to lose him after just getting him back?"

The silence became louder and the two had to choose. Finally though, Strawberry cookie spoke.

Strawberry cookie: if you're going with the beasts... then so am I

Wizard cookie: yeah, me too.

Gingerbrave: wait- you guys don't have to-

Wizard cookie: we know. But we want to.

Strawberry cookie: you're our friend, Gingerbrave. We stick together.

Gingerbrave: but... I'm a beast now... aren't you scared I'll hurt you guys.

The two look at each other, then start laughing.

Gingerbrave: h-huh?

Strawberry cookie: scared? Did turning into a beast mess with your memory? Haha

Wizard cookie: we were told by a very brave cookie that bravery is about doing something even if you're scared. You taught us that, Gingerbrave.

Strawberry cookie: besides, no amount of new body parts and powers can change the fact that you're our friend.

Gingerbrave was stunned into silence. And just like that, he started sobbing up a storm again, his friends hugging him to comfort him. They stayed like that for a while, none of them wanted to end the moment. But unfortunately, all good things, no matter how small or big, must come to an end.

Something shook the temple and the kids remembered the battle was still raging on. Just then, Shadow Milk cookie appeared.

Shadow Milk cookie: Ok- we're going again and- where'd you guys come from?!

Both: urgh, hey again. Remember us.

Shadow Milk cookie: ahhh, riiiight. Still bitter about that- how in the world did you two even get here?!

Strawberry cookie: long story.

Gingerbrave: if we're leaving, can we please take them with us? Please?

Shadow Milk cookie: I- do we HAVE to???

And here's Pure Vanilla/Vanilla Milks design for the AU, I gave him black hair streaks and Red eyes to represent Burning Spice. And then the eyes in the shadows, the eye on the staff, his eye and many other things represent Shadowmilk, the eyes in the shadows are supposed to actually be Shadowmilk essentially still watching over him even while in the tree, also because of that line he says in game where he pretty much says he's been watching Pure Vanilla for like forever/when he got the souljam. Atleast I think that's generally what he said. Anyways heres the Lore for this silly guy.

He's the son of Shadowmilk, and Burning Spice. And is the twin brother of Golden Cheese.

He was originally named Vanilla Milk but it was changed by the Witches when he was given to his adoptive Mother.

He recognized Shadowmilk quite quickly, and when he did he practically ran to and hugged him.

His staff was actually made by Shadowmilk, which was then given to Blueberry Yogurt to keep until PV graduated and then BY gave it to Pure Vanilla when he graduated from the Academy.

He is married to Dark Cacao, and usually visits the Cacao kingdom during the summer months.

When Dark Choco was a kid he would sing the song that SM used to sing to PV and GC to him.

Much like Shadowmilk he can be quite mean when it comes to protecting his friends/family.

White Lily and him aren't as close then they are in game Lore, and he hasn't quite forgiven her yet either.

GC resides the Vanilla Kingdom currently, and while PV is in beast yeast she is the acting queen(Custard the 3rd is making most of the decisions but when it comes to difficult ones it goes through her before it's confirmed)

Pure Vanilla doesn't know much about Burning Spice, although Shadowmilk when speaking of him usually talks about how he was before corruption.

He's usually quite calm but when clotted cream accused them of being just like DE he was tempted to kick him out right then and there.

He's still called Silly Vanilly by Shadowmilk in this AU and it's embarrasses him quite a bit.

He does have a crown which is quite similar to Dark Cacao's, although he doesn't wear it like at all, but it's in his room.

He's quite concerned for GC especially with her blooming relationship between WL and HB, it's more because of her stress with WL and her Kingdom being destroyed but he is confident she knows what she's doing.

He and Dark Choco were extremely close to eachother before DC joined the COD, he did speak to DC when he left the COD wishing him well on his journey.

SM and him talk a lot while he's in Beast-yeast, and will send letters once he leaves even though SM is probably going to go to the Vanilla Kingdom with him(I forgot to mention for SM's Lore but he's actually pretty nice in this au, he acted similar to his Canon self in the beginning, but when he got hugged by PV he generally started acting nicer)

That's it I'm pretty sure- I'd have made him look much more like SM and BS but I didn't want to change him to much from his Canon self, but it plays in with the fact that the Witches probably would've changed the ancients so they don't look like their parents and also changed their names. I'll see you when I do GC

Blacklight Frosting Cookie born a year later than the MyCookie everyone know, her little basket was leaved on a dangerous grounds, luckily, Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie saved her and sent her with a Blueberry Bird off to safety to their kingdom just as MyCookie but when she arrived to kingdom it was so different, of course King Custard the third cookie and Chili Pepper Cookie would like to take care of her but this time Ferret Cookie was busy with the other MyCookie on their adventures so as the 2 cookies leaved her on a room, the rumor of a new baby called the attention of the beasts in particular, before Mystic Flour or Burning Spice got to do anything, Shadow Milk went and made Black Sapphire and Candy Apple take the baby dough off to their lair. . .home? castle? anything! and from that moment she was raised by Shadow Milk and his minions to shown her be by the side of lies and tricks, the little one grow up being a mischievous little one, she grow attached to Shadow Milk taking her as her dad, even tho, Shadow Milk too spoiled her little much, and Apple Candy and Black Sapphire too received her very well to take her as a close friend even a lil sis more Apple Candy

she grow up with wings she is able of kinda fly with them but no for much time, Shadow Milk and his minions kinda messed up a bit with her dough to mix 2 different flavored doughs, blueberry and raspberry- (that's why you shouldn't leave 3 evil and dumb people take care of a new fresh baked dough baby-) but at least compensate it with her toppings and her frostings and stuff (clothes and hair and accesory)

The mother die by a watcher who was try to kill Milk Coffee and she saw in her eyes mom dying and after that she go to living with her grandmother and after two years she die by sickness, again go to live with her aunt ice and one year she died old age from saving everyone and using her last breath ice…she cried a lot after the loss of the mother, grandmother, aunt ice, and now even her other aunt tarte tatin she died but saving her and dying under a lot of rocks. She had no one else she even didn’t know that her part of the family was from snowing kingdom, so she was sending by the cream republic to an orphanage and she stayed for two years and one time they asked her if she wanted to know her father but she didn’t wanted, and she was adopted by pure vanilla and stayed with him and for all the times she was still silent and talked less and one time the doctor said she is suffering with some sickness and a PTSD and at the age 11 she said to a custard ll “fuck you old man I do what I want and I don’t want to be a princess” and so she run away to go around the sea but then it was boring so when she turn 12 she become like a dragon hunter and she helped the small village with her uncle that she didn’t know, and after that she was reunited with pitaya and stayed as best friends and of course the cream republic try everything and after that she decided at the age 13 to 14 she will become an idol. She became so famous that after many months and two years at the age of 15 she was saying to all fans that she need to do something, and of course she said to them that her and pitaya became lovers and at the age 16 she become a princess doing a great adventure. Well, seem to be that everything all right but nope this is the start of her adventure she doesn’t know that her soul jam on her chest is connected to a someone who had the same DNA (a sister who she died by trying saving her brother) as her mother and even a brother she didn’t know and even anyone else from others side of the family, is she going to know the truth? Is her mother hiding something? ….... and of course, she doesn’t know that dark cacao he was married with pure vanilla but when he divorced from him to stayed with moonlight, the divorced paper never went to hand over it so he had the control of it to saying about to stayed married to him, and the grandfather he saw her when she was 5/6 years old with a red hood. But of course, she doesn’t know anything about it she even didn’t know that in her mother side she had an aunt, two grandparents and even a cousin.

i've been rereading and rereading and rereading the fic series over and over and over. i thought the custard cookie iii fans had either mostly dimmed out or migrated. i only saw a fanart of the bluebell au by chance and got excited enough to see an old hypfix in the dash that i found the fic and god. i am so happy to see another cciii fan in here. you've got me watching all the new beast-yeast storyline eps for this. god you nail shadow milk's voice so well but also i've just listened to his eng voice actor and he truly does sound silly. his english voice actor is doing really well for a first impression. i might be developing another character fixation but who the hell knows. all i can say is that i am back in low-content crk hell where this time i might start actually writing for it. FUCK.

for the second part, I totally get the frustration with the underdeveloped characters, and as for what custard was doing for me it really depends on the au/headcanon I'm going for. I only have 1 au where i hc him older than 11 and thats specifically because its an au set in the future of another au thats dark choco centric, and i often go for around 9, (technically it makes him 6-8 when he first meets the crew because his birthday is implied to be the anniversary date and at least 1 year has passed since he canonically attended Holly's year end ball)

I literally have an au where they spawned in one day because of a wish(an old friend of pure vanillas who wished to help him like he helped them as a form of good karma gets their wish fulfilled and the magic granted to them by vanilla becomes custard iii hence how they share similar abilities and custard is so attached to vani). And "dad" in their memories is just what they used to look like, with the old soul looking after him if he needs it.

In a fairly canon timeline I see that custard was raised by his dad, who went out the day before the adventure started and didn't come back, and custard left to go and find him, and ends up getting adopted by several parental/carer figures including but not limited to: chili pepper, rye, dark choco, madeleine, pure vanilla, dark cacao, tea knight, crunchy chip and c-arrow.

And also gets 3 new siblings in Gingerbrave Strawberry and Wizard, and forms a small chaos squad with Poison mushroom, Strawberry crepe and snapdragon.

As for what happened to his dad, idk rlly. Part of me wants to do a tiger lily conspiracy in that the St pastry order kidnapped tiger lily for her connection to holly(and by extension eternal sugar and mystic flour) and lost her when butter tiger showed up to protect her and that something similar happened to custards dad and he's currently in their hold.

Or in a complete curve ball I could say that Custard iii was kidnapped and escaped, but did not realise he was being kidnapped in his childish naivety.

Until devsis gives us more crumbs this is the best we got.

i just want to share some of my cookie run headcanons here cuz idk i feel like rambling. many of them will be for Pure Vanilla because i love him (he's not my top favorite, i just have Many Thoughts about him and I RP him more often)

Pure Vanilla Cookie

He has what I like to call a "Frustrated Parental Instinct," which is to say that he enjoys raising children! He has had at least one child in his life (if I'm reading the lore correctly, at least- Custard Cookie III had to come from somewhere) and while he desires to have more, he hasn't exactly had the Time or Safety to do so

This "Frustration" has him prone to Adopting kids. Not officially, normally, but whether they see him as an elder sibling, a parent, a teacher, or a guardian, he has a tendency to dote on them.

He adopted the Gingerbrave crew in that way- it's a gaggle of 12 year olds, how can he not feel at least a little protective?

He is also Ace/Pan and Polyamorous- he has too much love in his heart to not be kissin' all his friends!

Ascension gave him T. And probably top surgery too.

Pure Vanilla is transgender and you will pry that from my cold, crumbly grippers

He has knowledge of Anatomy- of course he would, as a healer lol, but he still studied it extensively so he wouldn't accidentally heal someone Wrong

He and White Lily Cookie are exes- though not bitter ones! They dated for a while before Lily went off to Beast-Yeast, and while they both still care for each other, there's only platonic love left between them

Sometimes, though, he wonders if he just didn't love her enough to stop her. It's untrue, though, there was no way he could have stopped what happened from happening.

And yes- Even knowing that Dark Enchantress Cookie was White Lily Cookie, he still loves and cares for Lily. He's the first to try to help patch the bridges between Lily and the rest of the Ancients.

White Lily Cookie

She's an insomniac- perhaps even downright afraid of sleeping, though she'd never admit to that.

Prone to nightmares- both before and after the Witch's Banquet. Some of them are even, apparently, from the point of view of Dark Enchantress Cookie

When she received Elder Faerie Cookie's Guardian Powers, she also gained a pair of Faerie Wings that looked quite close to his- just in her shade of green.

Botany/Mycology special interests- she loves the macro-yeasties in Beast-Yeast

Goes without saying that guilt eats at her all the time- she knows how to function around it though, better than Pure Vanilla does

I feel like she has Gray- or Demi-AroAce energy

Dark Cacao Cookie

Has a very VERY dry sense of humor- but he does HAVE one

Definitely Adopted Caramel Arrow and Crunchy Chip- nobody can convince me otherwise

Was absolutely crying the ENTIRE time he was going through Mystic Flour's realm. At least when he wasn't talking to the other beings there.

He's Canonically a goofy-ass drunk, and normally avoids drinking in order to preserve his Super Serious Leader reputation

He's actually kind of a cat person- not that he hates dogs (or wolves for that matter) but he goes out of his way to stop and chatter quietly to any cat that crosses his path while he pets them ("Oh look at you, little soldier. I trust your claws are sharp, hm? And your teeth too? What a good little warrior you are")

If you ever manage to catch him doing this, though, and try to tell anyone else, he will vehemently deny it

Crunchy Chip and Caramel Arrow are aware of it though. They've caught him so many times doing so

(He has done it to the cream wolves as well, though. Sometimes you can't resist a good Puppy)

He has a dad sneeze. He doesn't sneeze often but when he does you'd swear his head's exploded

Sometimes goes stargazing on the rare clear nights in his Kingdom- the top of the Black Wall has an excellent view

He writes poetry! He thinks in very poetic terms so if he had a personal journal, it would look like narrative poetry

Hollyberry Cookie

Canonly both Very Generous and also Kinda Selfish, which is Compelling

Also gives bone-crushing bear hugs. Which even Cacao can't even withstand sometimes

She's so buff so she can carry her sins her Kingdom <3

She speaks poorly of her son in canon, and I believe that some of it is because she's trying to, in a sense, remove herself from him. She feels she's failed him, or failed in raising him, and so any sleight she allows against him, she levels towards herself

Yes this means she's projecting unhealthily on Royalberry! And she may even be aware of that, but she can't stop

She's trying harder for Wildberry, but even so, she can't stop repeating some of her old mistakes

She almost regrets founding her Kingdom the way she did. Perhaps then she wouldn't be so heartbroken now.

unfortunately i haven't played enough of the game to get a feel on Golden Cheese Cookie yet, but she will have Thoughts too

Cookie Run Hcs #3

I know Toothpaste cookie is an alternate of Mint Choco but it'll be funny if they were twin brothers. Peppermint is their little sibling. This is the Minty Family, you can tell why. Toothpaste is the older twin and would constantly judge Mint's Fashion and Taste, Mint just kinda tolerates it. Peppermint is like the middle child, watching the older child and youngest have some war.

When Milk is off, Madeline and Espresso are there. The duo would constantly fight at who is the better babysitter and call out the others flaw. Snow Sugar gets a little concerned when that happens. Don't tell them, but their actual favorite babysitter would be Purple Yam or Dark Choco.

And odd ship pairing. It kinda reminded me of Opposites attract, like you have Black Raisin, a type of emo, and Shining Glitter Cookie, a popstar and a type of extrovert. Shining would definitely shower Raisin with affection as Black Raisin gets flustered about it. Even they try out new make up / frosting products!

Vampire would usually be the one who finds Onion, whenever she gets lost. He lost babysitting privileges of her after flicking her forehead and making her cry. He makes a bad babysitter for anyone else besides his sister and Onion just hangs around him because she can hide under his cloak

Werewolf Cookie adopts Strawberry as his little sister. He's very fond of Strawberry as she would be kinda the first to ever not call him some monster. There would be times where'd she be afraid of him, but it only happens a few times. Strawberry also hides behind him whenever Crepe was around.

Another odd pairing! These two would meet when Licorice was going to ask Lotus Dragon to help Dark Enchantress' side. He instead meets Hydrangea, who reminds him of Pomegranate, but he is surprise to see when she greets him so kindly. He completely forgot his reason to coming here and ended up having a full blown conversation with the cookie.

When they get to know each other real well and want to take it to the next level, I would think Hydrangea's Love language would be words or gifts. Licorice's would definitely be Actions, Gifts, and Words, despite his character.

Poly Relationship w/ White Lily, Pure Vanilla, and Dark Cacao. ( also custard, Clover, and Dark Choco)

Pure Vanilla would be the one who made the poly relationship! He has two hands and he likes both White Lily and Dark Cacao! The other two felt the same.

Clover would be White Lily's adopted son, who would kinda be Dark Choco's step brother or adopted.

Dark Choco is the oldest. That's a fact. He gets feelings of that he wouldn't be a good son and older brother to his new found family, especially after what he did, but White Lily would comfort him and tell him he deserves a second chance at redemption.

Being either the grandson or actual son of PV, Custard will always be the youngest. He doesn't like bring treated like it, but he wouldn't mind if PV did it.

Oh and yes! Dark Cacao would be the loving and strictest father, Pure Vanilla the carefree and wise dad, and White Lily being the worrisome and caring mother. They tend to have family time for stories or singing.

-he’ll try and be a better parent for you than he was for dark choco.

-He’ll do what ever it takes to keep you safe and out of harms way. You’ll be in his palace all day and can only leave if him and many guard’s Are with you, but you cant go far even with them. If he were to leave for business you will have guards watching and keeping track of all your actions to tell Dark Cacao when he gets back. Once ou start to get older he will be more lenient on rules as long you do swordplay in your free time, hes trying to keep you safe.

holy shit so if premier and pure vanilla are married in ur au and elder custard is the brother of premier (confirmed in chapter 3) then that makes custard and pure vanilla brother in laws im dead

The way that my AU was initially going was that Custard was the father of Custard III and the son of Premier Custard and Pure Vanilla. The only thing I couldn't really figure out was how Custard III got to the kingdom of his dad somehow got to the Republic, especially if Custard Cookie was the baby Premier was holding.

But now I'm thinking that it makes more sense for him to be Premier Custard's little brother. There's no telling how old he is compared to Premier, but there's definitely a healthy age gap, I think. Custard is probably in his 50s or 60s or so--one of those cookies who looks very good for his old age. Maybe older, but 50-60 is sort of pushing it as it is, I think.

Premier Custard was rather old when the Vanilla Kingdom was destroyed, so canon-wise, I wonder how old Premier Custard must have been. We've seen with that one refugee that at least two generations have passed, so it seems strange for Custard to not be exceptionally old at that point--unless he was a child when he ran away.
