Came upon another of my former posts that didn't sell. The 1989 home in Lake Placid, NY has 9bds, 10ba. It's been for sale since 2022 at $31.15M. In 2023, it was reduced to $15M. Taken off the market for 2mos., it's listed again for $15M.
Tumblr media
It looks like one of those little German weather houses, doesn't it? Well, you won't believe what's inside.
Tumblr media
The interesting living room. Well, we can barely see the fireplace w/all the stuff.
Tumblr media
Long formal dining room.
Tumblr media
Have you ever seen a kitchen with a gate? I mean, unless they have a dog as tall as a human, that's not a pet gate. There are also bars behind the cooktop. Look at the lights under the cabinets, so they look like they're hovering.
Tumblr media
The kitchen is very small for a $15M house.
Tumblr media
We're going downstairs, now.
Tumblr media
Family room with a huge stone fireplace.
Tumblr media
There's a door to this covered patio with a built-in fire pit and swinging sofas.
Tumblr media
The home is like a maze of halls.
Tumblr media
There's a shower in here, and is that a hot tub or a water feature? Nice ceiling and rock wall.
Tumblr media
Double doors and a hall leading to the primary bedroom. This house doesn't look this big from outside.
Tumblr media
The bedroom is weird. I just learned that this black thing is a Japanese Luong bed, probably custom made.
Tumblr media
Check out the marble en-suite.
Tumblr media
Look at this long hall.
Tumblr media
It leads to this area with a spiral staircase, a bear, and a fake tree.
Tumblr media
The spiral stairs go up to a guest apt.
Tumblr media
It has a bigger kitchen than the main house.
Tumblr media
The bedroom. Very spacious apt.
Tumblr media
Out on the deck. Across the way, see that cabin on huge trunks? That's a guest cabin.
Tumblr media
Well. This is certainly is literally in the trees.
Tumblr media
Behind the treehouse is another house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's another apt. in here with a cool kitchen. Love the two-tone cabinets.
Tumblr media
Here's a shooting range downstairs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yet another living quarters with a full kitchen.
Tumblr media
Makeshift bedroom in the garage.
Tumblr media
But, that's not all the living quarters. There's still a vintage Airstream trailer on the property.
Tumblr media
They ruined it with the cement coating inside. Well, this property is big- it's 46.64 acres with lots of living quarters.

That new promo photo of the Shaw brothers sure had some spn vibes--the animal skulls on the wall, the candelight, the dried flowers, the lighting, the wardrobe. Also, episode 9 fyi was filmed in a very familiar location that's been on spn...3 times? 4 times? And often gets used in shows filmed in Vancouver when a spooky location is needed. And the plot involved talk of ghosts and demons and had some atmospheric spookiness no one from spn would be ashamed of (Tracker still isn't a supernatural genre show). And because Tracker is filmed in Vancouver, there's a lot of familiar locations, not just that one.
Colter saves people, and connects with the people he meets in each city or town where he saves someone, similar to spn only not monsters or ghosts as the culprits. The Shaw family backstory is full of generational trauma and an abusive father who is terrified of something, it's all very mysterious so far, and wants to protect his loved ones but goes about it in a way that isn't greatest dad ever. The mom is still alive in this one. Her name is Mary. Given the producer on Tracker, Ellwood Reid, worked on Big Sky and custom wrote Beau Arlen for Jensen, at this point I'm assuming the guy is a fan of spn and is having the time of his life. Not particularly into linear broadcast procedural dramas, I prefer genre, so I'm having fun with the spn touches of it, but I do enjoy thrillers and mysteries. Caught up on Tracker a few weeks ago when I saw the speculation about Jensen being cast and it seemed inevitable so I watched and wound up enjoying it. (No slight on Justin Hartley who is a gift to TV, it's just that I don't usually watch this style of show). Tracker's more to the thriller end of things rather than alphabet soup spinoff style and I am liking the gestalt--the cinematography is also very pretty.
Also fun is that Colter, the lone wolf who lives in an airstream and travels from town to town saving people, hunting finding things, yet he has this collection of people he works with that he cares about and who care about him. Colter tries to keep himself emotionally distanced due to reasons, and yet his empathy and big heart keeps showing. It's pretty much Batman. He works alone! He's a loner! He is the night! Except for all these people he obviously cares about in his life. It's actually very soft and has an ensemble cast, along with the rugged "lone wolf fights crime" label and format.

Hi lovely :) Have you written any fics where Alex tells Michael that loving him is the easiest thing in the world? Or Michael finds out that Alex said that about him? Just imagine the heart eyes!
***
Michael hadn’t meant to eavesdrop. He’d called Alex during his lunchbreak, his body vibrating with annoyance and frustration at the junkyard’s most recent customer who’d spent the entirety of the past hour barking orders into Michael’s ear. Michael was really starting to resent being married and having someone he loved and cared about because, apparently, it meant he couldn’t risk exposing himself by opening earthquakes under assholes with his mind, and Alex must’ve been busy because he’d rejected the call.
Sorry, meeting, I’ll call you after, his text immediately read. Except Alex must’ve been really distracted because he hadn’t actually rejected the call, instead setting his phone aside, not knowing that Michael was still on the other line, listening to everything.
Michael didn’t bother texting him about it as he just missed his husband like crazy and was happy to listen to his soft voice as he spoke to his colleagues. He’d once joked that he loved it when Alex talked code-y to him. It turned out he didn’t care what Alex was talking about so long as he was talking. Something about knowing Alex was in a cool room, going about his day, admired for his genius and skill, soothed the agitation in his chest.
So while Alex’s meeting went on, Michael leaned back against the airstream door, eyes shut, listening to his husband’s soft voice. Finally, when it sounded like the room was emptying out, Michael stood, ready to tell Alex he’d been on the line the whole time, when—
“Was that Michael earlier?” Eduardo’s voice sounded, and Michael stilled. Would Alex get in trouble for answering his phone?
But Alex’s chuckle eased his concerns at once. “Yeah. He’s probably dealing with assholes at work.”
“Or he just misses you,” Alex’s boss mused. “You know, for such a cowboy, I expected more of a macho act.”
“Oh did you?” Alex said, and Michael could hear his smile. He couldn’t help his own pained grin as he remembered the façade he put up years ago every time Alex got too close; the fear that if he didn’t protect his heart, this one person who mattered would shatter it beyond repair. That felt like centuries ago.
“Bet he’s a handful, huh?” Eduardo chuckled good-naturedly, and had Michael and Alex not had the man and Kyle over for dinner several times already, he might’ve taken offense. As it stood, he stuck a tongue in his cheek and fought his own smile.
“Actually,” Alex said softly, as if he couldn’t help it, “loving Michael’s just about the easiest thing in the world.”
Michael’s smile dimmed, startled, and his heart panged. He scrunched his shoulders, automatically curling in around his phone as if it was his Alex instead. He missed him. Alex was right in his ear, and Michael missed him. Suddenly, and not really able to explain it, Michael hung up before Alex could pick his phone back up.
Two seconds later, his phone rang again. “Hey, baby,” Alex greeted. “Sorry, that meeting went on longer than I thought it would.”
“You’re fine,” Michael said. You’re perfect, you’re wonderful, you’re everything I’ve ever wanted. “I was just finishing up.”
A pause. “You sound happy,” Alex said slowly, amused. “Did something good happen?”
Michael shut his eyes, hanging his head back. “No, I just . . . really missed you.”
“I missed you too, baby.” Michael heard some shuffling, and imagined Alex grabbing his things. “I’m just about done here, I’m heading over.”
Michael smiled at the thought. He knew no macho man could ever have been worth not having this. “Hurry.”

Something Worth Living For - Chapter 6
Ash Williams x Female Reader
Summary: Feeling hopeless, you decide to drown away your sorrows. Turns out you can’t handle your liquor (or ketamine)
Warning(s): Language, alcohol consumption and intoxication, accidental drug use (ketamine), sexual themes and language, large age gap, feelings of negative self worth
Masterlist: X
A/N: Sorry for the delay as always. This chapter was really fun considering I’ve been on vacation drinking A LOT, so I had some inspiration 😂 More to come soon! 😉
Tumblr media
A blonde highlighted bartender approached you at the bar top, a glass in his hands. The man had an almost ‘surfer boy turned stoner’ type of charm to him. He gave you a friendly grin.
“Hey there, what can I getcha?”
“Something strong please. Anything.” You almost pleaded, a half-smile on your lips.
The man winked. “One Pink Fuck, comin’ right up!” He flipped the glass in his hands and set it down on the counter. Huh, that was the drink Ash had mentioned the other night.
You returned a smile, watching as the man assembled your cocktail. You saw him pour a myriad of different alcohols, the liquid becoming a pretty shade of pink lemonade.
You felt someone approach your side. Ash’s blue shirt came into your peripheral vision.
“Ugh. Chet, what the fuck are you making? Don’t give her a Pink Fuck!”
The bartender, Chet, shrugged. “She wanted something strong, man! Who am I to deny a pretty patron?”
You blushed, turning to Ash. “Yeah, the pretty patron needs something strong.”
He sighed. “Look, Y/N. I know this is a lot. Let’s just get back to the airstream and talk about this, huh?”
“I don’t think talking is going to change the fact that I’m engaged, apparently.”
Chet perked up at this, offering a goofy grin. “Oh hey congrats!”
“No, you idiot. It’s an arranged marriage,” Ash sighed, voice dripping with exasperation.
His smile fell. “Oh. Yikes.”
You nodded in agreement. “Yeah.”
You both watched Chet finish making your drink in silence. He placed the drink in front of you.
“There you are, an Elk Grove specialty. Don’t waste any time, now. Throw that baby back!”
Ash’s mechanical hand suddenly reached across to block you. “Y/N, I’m warning you. Don’t drink that.”
You scoffed, pushing away his arm. “Or else what? What are you, my dad?”
Seriously, who did he think he was? You were engaged to a fucking demon for heaven’s sake. You were allowed to mourn this more than unsavory union in your own way.
Ash frowned and leaned in closer to you. “Watch it, or else daddy’ll have to teach you a lesson.”
You shrugged, trying your best to ignore the heat flushing over your body and in your core at his threat. You quickly took the glass and raised the rosé colored liquid to your lips before he could protest. It was sweet, leaving a slight tingle on your tongue.
You turned back to Ash and he sighed, defeated. He watched you, dumbstruck, as you sensually licked the remaining alcohol from your lips. “And what lesson is that?”
Ash was at a loss for words.
You winked, casually turning back to the bartender. You raised the glass in your hands and inspected its contents. “That’s pretty good, Chet! One bartender to another- what’s in this?”
“Vodka, strawberry liqueur, grenadine, lemonade, ketamine, a little sprinkle of orange zest and nutmeg…”
You almost choked, coughing on your final gulp.
“Did you just say ketamine?!”
“Only the special-est K for my customers!” Chet beamed.
You blinked, setting the glass onto the countertop with a ‘thud’. You turned back to Ash with wide eyes.
“Hey, I warned you.”
The tingle on your tongue had now turned into a full on numb sensation. There was no way this was going to end well for you.
Ash’s annoyance quickly dissipated into a chuckle. The damage had been done.
“Seriously, have I ever steered you wrong before? You have to build an immunity up to this stuff. Chet, go ahead and make me one.”
“Already ahead of you, brother.”
Chet poured two more servings from the silver cocktail shaker, passing a glass to Ash. They raised their cups in a cheers.
“To kicking evil’s ass. Seriously, Y/N. We’re going to get this fucker. No worries.”
You gulped. “Well now I’m not worried about that, am I gonna like…have a heart attack now? Die or something?!”
Ash and Chet shared a look before joining in together in an uproarious laughter. “Yeah no, but seriously, you’re in for a treat.”
You rolled your eyes, making your way over to an empty barstool. A very warm feeling suddenly began to spread over you, flushing your face and heating your chest.
“Woah…” You took another step forward and almost missed your footing completely. Ash quickly caught you in his arms as you stumbled forward.
“Yeah, okay, champ. Let’s get you out of here.”
“Mhmmm,” you giggled. “You’re strong.”
You sloppily dragged a finger down his bicep.
“And you’re drunker than who shot John, come on.”
A feeling of euphoria had taken over you, and you could hardly see straight. All you knew was that the man holding you in his arms right now felt strong, safe, and…ridiculously handsome right now.
You both were soon approached by Kelly and Pablo, leaving Ruby to sulk alone at her table.
“Is she okay?” The two looked at each other knowingly. “Pink Fuck,” they said in unison.
Ash nodded. “Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and get this one back somewhere where she can’t do anymore damage.”
Kelly eyed you, sighing wistfully. “Yeah, remember the first time I tried that stuff?”
“Yeah, you KO’d pretty hard, Kel,” chuckled Pablo.
“But it felt so nice! Lemme have a glass-“
Ash quickly cut her off, struggling to keep you standing straight. “No can do. No more room to babysit tonight.”
She rolled her eyes, turning back to the bar. “Ugh, fine. Fuck it, bring on the beer I guess.”
“That’s my little alcoholic.”
She quickly turned back to flick Ash off. Pablo smiled.
“Get her home safe, Jefe! We’ll brainstorm some ideas on how to get Baal.”
“Thanks Pablo. You’re a real pal.”
~
Your vision was completely blurred as you crashed down onto a soft surface. Where were you? You giggled, smoothing your arms over what you could only assume was a bedspread. You were in the Airstream. On Ash’s bed. This could be fun.
“Alright, you can sleep this off here. I’ll take the couch. We’ll go back to killing evil tomorrow.”
You quickly sat up to the edge of the bed and reached a hand out, grabbing his. You smirked and with one swift move, pulled the man standing before you to his knees.
“Y/N, what are you-“
“Shhh,” you whispered, sloppily hanging a finger on his lips. “Kiss me, Ash.”
The older man gulped, staring at you intently with brown eyes. “Y/N, you’re very very intoxicated right now. And depressed. That’s a combo that equals no bueno.”
You pouted, trailing your fingers across his jaw. The alcohol and apparent drugs running through your system gave you a surge of confidence you didn’t normally have. “Ash, please.”
He shook his head. “I can’t, Y/N.”
Somewhere deep inside of you wondered if he didn’t want you. What kind of man like him, a Jefe, would want just some girl like you?
He stood to his feet, turning to leave. You didn’t want to see him go quite yet.
“Ash?”
“Yeah, doll?”
“Will you at least sleep next to me? You don’t have to sleep on the couch,” you slurred.
“I’m not quite so sure that’s a good idea-“
“Please? I’m afraid of seeing him again in my dreams…Baal.”
He couldn’t resist the e/c, doe-eyed look in your plea. Ash wanted nothing more than to have taken you up on your offer, and make sweet sweet love to you all night long. But he knew better.
A deep reluctance filled his veins as he defeatedly crawled into the bed next to you, and you immediately inched to his side. You snuggled into his chest, breathing in the faint smell of aftershave and motor oil. You snaked a leg around his and held him close.
“Thank you,” you breathed, slowly drifting off into a deep sleep- the safest you had felt in days.

From a mobile office for John F. Kennedy to a quarantine facility for astronauts returning from the moon, Airstreams have been used for a variety of purposes throughout the company's history. In the spirit of Halloween, we decided to dive into one of the spookier - and lesser-known - products in Airstream's history: the Airstream Funeral Coach.
Yes, you read that right. In 1981, Airstream introduced a modified motorhome known as the Funeral Coach. It could transport 14 family members, a casket, and up to 20 baskets of flowers between the funeral home, church, and cemetery. Airstream was motivated to practicality to create this unique offering, and the story of the Funeral Coach's genesis is as interesting as the product itself.
The story goes that in 1979, Airstream, Inc. had launched its Class A Motorhome line for the first time. However, because a recession and a gas crisis hit American drivers hard in the late 1970s, Airstream was suffering from a loss in sales. Looking for ways to offset this loss, Airstream's president at the time, Gerry Letourneau, wanted to diversify into a wide range of customized vehicles based on motorhomes. Along with the Funeral Coach, this customized line included the Air Coach, which allowed business professionals to work together on the road, and the Sales Coach, which served as a mobile sales office or display room.
The Airstream Funeral Coach comfortably seated its passengers in either individual aircraft-style seats or on a wrap-around couch. It had a rear hatch compartment for flowers and a discreet side compartment for the casket. The Funeral Coach was presented as a fuel-efficient alternative that would reduce funeral procession traffic while maintaining dignity. Most importantly, however, it allowed families to
travel together during a trying time. In 1981, the cost of a Funeral Coach was $85,000. A traditional hearse came in at $40,000, and two standard funeral limousines cost $60,000. Comparatively, the Funeral Coach was a cost-efficient option - and it was also backed by Airstream's reputation for quality aluminum vehicles.
The standard floor plans were 27' and 28', but customized floor plans ranging from 24' to 35' were also available. Some funeral home owners chose to add features such as a radio, television, microwave, and lavatory to provide extra comfort for families on longer journeys. Funeral home nameplates and identifiers were added to the exterior of the Funeral Coach, but these were removable. Because it did not look like a hearse, the unit was versatile, and early brochures advertised that it could be loaned out

Glamping Tent Rentals: Where Nature Meets Luxury
Imagine waking up to the sound of birds chirping, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the fresh scent of the great outdoors—all while cocooned in a cozy, luxurious tent with all the comforts of a high-end hotel. This dreamy experience is what glamping is all about. In this article, we will explore the enchanting world of glamping tent rentals, where nature and luxury harmoniously coexist to create unforgettable outdoor adventures.
Glamping Unveiled
Before we dive into the realm of glamping tent rentals, let's uncover the essence of glamping itself. What makes it such a sought-after trend?
What is Glamping? Glamping, short for "glamorous camping," is a style of camping that combines the thrill of the great outdoors with the lavishness of a hotel stay.
The Allure of Glamping: We'll delve into the reasons behind the growing popularity of glamping. From the desire for a unique experience to the growing eco-consciousness of travelers, there are several factors at play.
The World of Glamping Tents
At the heart of glamping is the glamping tent. These are not your ordinary camping tents; they are a portal to a world of opulence in nature.
Types of Glamping Tents: Explore the diverse range of glamping tents available, from safari-style tents to yurts, treehouses, cabin tents, and even retro Airstreams. Each type has its unique charm and features.
2.2 Luxury Features: Discover the opulent amenities that make glamping tents stand out. Think plush beds, private bathrooms, electricity, heating, stylish furnishings, and outdoor decks that let you enjoy the natural surroundings.
Benefits of Renting Glamping Tents
Why choose glamping tent rentals over traditional camping? Let's delve into the advantages of this unique way of experiencing the great outdoors.
1. No Camping Gear Needed: One of the biggest perks of glamping is that you don't need to invest in camping equipment. Your glamping tent comes fully equipped, so you can travel light.
2. Hassle-Free Experience: Say farewell to the inconveniences of setting up and packing down a traditional camping site. Glamping offers a stress-free and convenient experience.
3. Diverse Locations: Glamping tents are available in a myriad of locations, from national parks and beachfront sites to vineyards, remote wilderness, and more. You can pick your dream setting.
4. Ideal for Special Occasions: Whether it's a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a unique celebration, glamping tents provide a special setting for making cherished memories.
5. Customized Packages: Many glamping providers offer tailor-made packages to cater to your specific desires, ensuring a personalized experience.
Choosing the Perfect Glamping Tent Rental
Selecting the right glamping tent for your adventure is key. Here are the factors to consider when making your choice.
Group Size and Accommodation Needs: Are you traveling alone, as a couple, with your family, or a group of friends? Your group size and accommodation preferences will guide your decision.
Destination and Setting: Think about the kind of environment you want to immerse yourself in. Options include mountains, beaches, forests, and deserts, each offering a distinct experience.
Amenities and Services: Consider the additional amenities and services that matter most to you. Some glamping sites offer spa services, gourmet dining options, guided tours, eco-friendly practices, and even pet-friendly facilities.
Tips for a Memorable Glamping Experience
To make the most of your glamping adventure, here are some essential tips:
1. Pack Light and Smart: Unlike traditional camping, you don't need to haul a truckload of equipment. Travel light and bring only the essentials.
2. Embrace Nature: Glamping encourages you to immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy outdoor activities, wildlife spotting, and the peace of the natural world around you.
