Staying in the theme of the same gift for my cousin - here is a hand painted wooden box i made for her. It is quite simple and Sailor Moon themed, with Luna's portrait inside.
It brings me so much joy when I get to make things inspired by my beloved childhood franchises and it brings even more if I can share my work with others!

@zenigatakeibu asked: happy birthday, daisuke!! looks like zenigata has something for him... two somethings, in fact! a brand new wooden bento box anddd a tamagotchi, both done up in wrapping paper!
' eh --- for me , really ?! ' his eyes widen and his gaze zips haplessly from the gifts in the inspector's hands up to the man's very own rugged face . was it really okay for him to be accepting presents like this , even when his alter ego was still taking things and causing trouble for everyone else ... ?
the blush that creeps into the boy's features is soft yet undeniable . before it starts burning into an absolute wildfire red , he doubles himself over in a deep bow . maybe a little too formal for the occasion , and ironic given it was meant to be daisuke's own birthday , but the boy's penchant for bashful manners and timid , polite niceties could never be separated from him .
besides , it was a last-ditch effort to try to help him to calm down a little ! if he got too excited here over the inspector celebrating his birthday --- then he'd end up transforming right in front of them , and then what would happen ?!
' t-thank you ! thank you so much ... ! ' ah . crap . it was already happening , wasn't it ? all this surprise was leading into a slip up !! he tries not to snatch at the bags , disguising his panic as nothing more than a middle schooler's over-eager youth and excitement , dashing off towards the end of the road in practically the blink of an eye , leaving nothing more than a shout for the inspector behind --- he really hopes that the older gentleman wasn't hoping for him to open everything on the spot !
a-and anyways , when you got down to it , both of them were kind of shy !
' i'm gonna go home and open them right now ! i'm sure it's something amazing ! be sure to wait for your birthday too , okay ?! '
just maybe then , he could properly return the favor of all of this happiness ... !

Last but not least, an old custom box design with its modernized counterpart! it's inspired by the one of the first few police boxes from the 1880's-90's!

Did my first pair of custom boxing gloves. It was definitely an experience. My first attempt ended in failure but mostly from me being so rusty since I’m not consistent with drawing/painting. These are my second pair but I’m much more satisfied than what I tried to do with the first pair.

How to personalise a lunch box and flask for back-to-school
I know the school holidays have only just started but why not get your little ones to customise a flask or lunchbox over the summer break? It's a fun crafting activity that'll help them get ready for back-to-school...
An old biscuit tin and a battered flask were the ideal starting point for this upcycling project. Getting creative with some paint is all that’s needed to create a lovely picnic set for the summer or a lunchtime set for back-to-school.
Children can help to customise their own lunch boxes with a design that’s unique to them – you’ll just have to help with the spray painting at the start and the…
