Vivienne Westwood custom dress Lorraine Schwartz custom jewelry Casadei 'Cappa Blade Stratosphere Sandals' - $1,050.00
While it’s not the Vivienne Westwood gown I had put in my predictions post, I’ll take the designer win! In my predictions, I had noted it time for an official VW moment on the red carpet but had guessed a one-shoulder corseted gown from the designer's Spring 2025 collection. I also correctly guessed some of the styling, specifically - a body chain! I predicted that a body chain would "underscore the era’s aesthetic from its tour costuming while also being appropriately sensual." Win x2!
No surprises that Taylor’s jewels for the night are by her go-to favourite Lorraine Schwartz. But, of course, the most eye catching jewel of all is that thigh chain which Taylor is specifically credited as having co-designed with Lorraine and her stylist Joseph Cassell.
In my red carpet predictions post, I had written alongside one of my picks the following styling note: “A pearl and diamond necklace or (gasp) a body chain would underscore the era’s aesthetic from its tour costuming while also being appropriately sensual.”
I’ll take the win for this symbolic “written mine on my upper thigh” moment tyvm.
As a lover of the minimalist strappy heel this styling also gets a big +1 from me.

There are a lot of influences in this gag that all occurred to me when trying to visualize the issues I have with my feet. I was torn between the Robert Crumb/Keep on Truckin' piece and a Rankin/Bass Bilbo Baggins, but I thought that THIS was more universally clear for the idea, particularly if you've not even SEEN the reference.
