CONSTANTLY thinking about the scene where Johnny and V talk in front of the basketball court and if you choose to make fun of Johnny, he genuinely looks hurt and V will (semi) apologize.

"Gonk who enlisted was Robert John Linder. Got roped in with easy cash, promise of fame, glory. Linder snuffed it. Was a different kid who crawled home from the front."

They met up again after the end of the tour, which in V's view seemed to last forever. Four months was the deadline, but it wasn't entirely fulfilled, with a delay of a few days.

V hugged him so tightly, even though it wasn't his nature to be affectionate. They drank together, talked about everything V had missed over two years away and, during one of their carefree moments, Kerry said "Fuck V, you don't know how much I've missed you" in an enthusiastic way.

V felt a shiver run down his spine; not exactly because of what he'd heard, but because he shared the same thought at that moment. His hands slowly reached out to the rocker's face, giving him plenty of time to move away 一 but he didn't do it.

When he realized that V's face was so close, Kerry's eyes flashed shyly, asking a hesitant, almost whispered "What?"

V had been drinking, but not enough to say that it was the effect of his drunkenness; however, he had somehow built up a bit of courage, after all, he hadn't gotten over it yet. Kerry looked different. Not because of his long hair or his slightly older appearance than he remembered, but there was something out of place.

"I missed you too, Ker. A lot." He said as he stared into Kerry's eyes.

They smiled at each other, realizing that no matter how much time had passed, they still reciprocated each other, and, as much as they had to get to know each other again, they finally had the time.

I wrote a short story about the post-ending events of Cyberpunk because I miss Kerry 😭😭
