#cybug shockwave

What kind of Cybug do you think Shockwave would be? I always thought of him as a moth something like a Cecropia moth because they are CHUNKY and the large eyes. Or eye, in this case, but I'm curious. What do you think?

oooh moth Shockwave is fun...!!! hes also got the potential for lil mothy antennae as well 🥺🥺 im enjoying the idea of him having cool eye marking on his wings too... very cool....

as for other options... hm. im always reminded of his little guys in Cyberverse which are kinda spidery or beetle-y

anyway they read kinda spidery to me but i also dont think shockwave would be a spider? i briefly considered cockroach (probably a loose connection to Humans B Gone and the cockroach professor in that LOL. men of Science.) but also... i could see him being a giant water bug (big, scary, also has big eye/s. makes me think of that one Skybound issue with his ocean blender)

im really not sure honestly !

TFA!Shockwave/Longarm should be some sort of bug that mimics other bugs though. theres plenty to pick from in that respect XD

First off I want to say that I absolutely ADORE your cybug AU, it's one of the most precious things to cross my dash. Makes me just stare into space grinning every time I see something with the bugs. They're the cutest things ever. I know you've said Shockwave would maybe be like a scorpion or like a huge moth or something, so I'm just wondering if you may have any plans for him? I know most people don't think that scorpions or the 'scary' looking moths are nice for pets but I love them both, so I'm curious. If not that's perfectly fine, I mostly just wanted to tell you how much I love seeing your stuff on my dash!

i dont have any current plans for him but... i really wanna draw shockwave because of another ask i got, so maybe!

speaking of- im taking this opportunity to answer the other ask i got about shockwave because its relevant:

that... was NOT actually who i was thinking about with Dia but im now sitting down and trying to figure out if i can also jam him into the roster. if i do, Dia will have the worlds worst blunt rotation going on in their backyard.
