What kind of Cybug do you think Shockwave would be? I always thought of him as a moth something like a Cecropia moth because they are CHUNKY and the large eyes. Or eye, in this case, but I'm curious. What do you think?

anyway they read kinda spidery to me but i also dont think shockwave would be a spider? i briefly considered cockroach (probably a loose connection to Humans B Gone and the cockroach professor in that LOL. men of Science.) but also... i could see him being a giant water bug (big, scary, also has big eye/s. makes me think of that one Skybound issue with his ocean blender)

im really not sure honestly !

TFA!Shockwave/Longarm should be some sort of bug that mimics other bugs though. theres plenty to pick from in that respect XD

Kaia’s POV

The dial tone wasn’t unfamiliar when it came to my relationship with Jude. Over the past few years, phone calls between us have been the main way of communicating with my best friend. With him away in either Germany or Spain, or with myself at my home in London, or away on a film set somewhere, phone calls or long text threads were the best I could get. 

But this call was different. Jude was finally back home in England. Not for long, just for a week or so during the winter break in the Spanish season. It just so happened that I had made the journey up from Surrey to be home with my family for Christmas, so it was only a matter of time before I picked up my phone, ready to call him. 

“Hello?” I heard at the other end of the line when Jude picked up. “Who’s this? The number kinda looked like this girl who last spoke to me about three weeks ago, but, you know, I could be mistaken.”

“Jude,” I say, deadpan. “I swear to God, the day you answer a phone call in a somewhat normal way, that’s when I’ll know the aliens have invaded.”

“I find offence in the fact that’s not the first time you’ve referred to aliens when talking about me,” his smirk was obvious through the way he spoke, it’s not like I’d never heard him speak that way before. “Anyway, stranger, what’s up? Miss my pretty face?”

“Always. But no, I need you to come over,” I stand up from where I was lying on my bed and walk over to my desk, taking a seat on the chair in front of it. 

“You need me to, huh? You should’ve said, Baby, I’d have been over already.” 

“Jesus,” I pinch the bridge of my nose, slumping further back into the chair in feigned annoyance. 

“My name’s Jude, actually, but close enough.”

“Please, Jude. I need to tell you something,” I twist my body, swinging the desk chair side to side a little, nerves creeping up to my heart, which is pounding in my chest. 

“God, I love it when you beg,” Jude whispers, voice a little more serious than it had been before. “Sorry, uhm, I’ll be over in ten. See you soon, Darling.”

*knock knock knock*

“FBI, open up!” Jude yells, in the worst American accent I might’ve ever heard (and I’ve been an actor my whole life so I’ve heard some terrible ones), from the other side of my door. He swings the door open, and his beaming face is the first thing I see when he’s revealed. 

I furrow my brows, staring at him with a disappointed look on my face for a few seconds. “Remind me, Jude, why the fuck are we friends?”

Jude places his hand against his chest, mouth open in fake, way too dramatic, offence. “Because we love each other, duh? Did you like it, though? It’s like that show you like, Criminal Brains or whatever it’s called.” He throws himself onto the bed beside me, landing on his stomach, before pushing up onto his forearms, leaning in towards me with only one thing on his mind.

“No,” I whisper, my hand gently placed on his collarbone as I push him back. “I need to talk to you first.”

“Oh,” Jude says with a nod. He grabs one of the many pillows on my bed and tucks it under his head, getting into a more comfortable position so he can look at me properly. Before Jude speaks, I see a look pass across his face, one that I can read instantly. “It’s serious enough that you don’t want to kiss me? Okay,” he drags out the vowels, chocolate brown eyes landing on mine, and at that moment I can do nothing but stare into them. 

My eyes flutter away from his, too scared to look at him during what I’m about to tell him, the weight of his gaze upon me enough to knock my mind off balance. 

“We can’t do this anymore,” I say softly, lips barely moving, but they fall loud and clear upon Jude’s ears. 

“We can’t do what anymore?” He knows. I knew he’d know what I would tell him when I refused to kiss him. But that’s what Jude is like, he is always going to give me space to tell him in my own time. He knows that’s how I want this to go. 

“Whatever we’ve been doing for the past however many years,” it’s then when I look at him, the image of his face etched into my brain of what I imagined he looked like in the moment, and I wasn’t wrong. 

Jude shakes his head, breaking eye contact, his jaw tight, before looking right back at me. “Why?”

“I have a boyfriend.” Silence washes over the room. Only sounds of our breathing can be heard and the ruffling of the bedding when I shift my body towards Jude. “We, uhm, we met on set a few months back and we hit it off, so… yeah. We’re now together.”

I give Jude a tight-lipped smile. He nods slowly in response, eyes wandering around my room. “I’m happy for you.” There it is. Four simple words, but they’re exactly what I expected him to say. He is so predictable. 

“So,” Jude slaps his thighs as he moves to sit up, almost falling backwards due to the lack of support from the mattress underneath him, but his strong core just about manages to complete the manoeuvre. “What’s your mom cooking?”

“A roast, but ab-”

“A roast? Oh, get in, I fucking love your mom’s roasts. Don’t tell my mom but, if I’m being completely honest, I prefer your mom’s Yorkshire puddings,” he smiles, but I can tell in the way he’s moving, his body language, the way his eyes can’t hold contact with mine for longer than three seconds, that he’s trying to distract himself from everything that’s going through his mind. “Mine does do better roast potatoes, though. They’re crispier.” 

“Jude,” I say sharply, placing a hand on his thigh in an attempt to bring him back to reality a little, as I stare at his heaving chest. “Slow the fuck down, yeah?” My stare is wide and long as my hand moves up and down his thigh, the only thing separating our skin are his grey sweatpants. “Take a breath, next time.”

He nods, his hand instinctually moving to grasp mine, giving it a gentle squeeze before letting it go, knowing that if he held on any longer he wouldn’t want to let go at all. “Quick question,” his eyes meet mine. “Why are we having a roast when you’re coming round mine for Christmas dinner in three days?”

I shrug. “Think of it as a pre-roast. You know how my mum gets when she’s not hosting, she can’t sit still to save her life, the roast dinner is just a product of that.”

“Cool,” Jude nods. “Two roast dinners in a week is a lot better than all the nutritional shit I have to eat throughout the season, anyway.”

I let out a quiet laugh, pulling my hand out from underneath his. “Anyway,” I take a deep breath. “As I was trying to say, about the dinner, Noah, my boyfriend, is coming over to eat with us.”

“Okay,” Jude’s voice fades out as he says, a confused look on his face.

“I mean,” I tell him. “It’s up to you, you can stay and meet him if you want, I don’t mind. Like I understand if you don’t want to, but, like I said, it’s completely up to you.”

Jude scoffs. “And like I said, I want that roast dinner. Of course, I’m staying.”

“Right then, I get up from my bed, stretching and letting out a yawn, catching Jude looking at the sliver of my belly that appears when I raise my hands over my head. “We best get downstairs and set the table, because we both know that sister of mine won’t have done it.”

“You do know you have legs, right?” I say to my fifteen-year-old sister, Olivia, as soon as I enter the dining room only to find that the table hadn’t already been set like I had previously hoped. 

My sister only lets out a grunt and shrugs at my words. 

“You alright, Liv?” Jude grabs the coasters, placing one in front of each chair, making sure to count one extra than usual for Noah.

Olivia gives Jude the same grunt as the one that she gave me. 

“Remember when we were like that?” I nudge Jude with my elbow, setting up everyone’s cutlery. 

“What, when we hated everyone and everything that wasn’t on our phones? Yeah, that was rough,” a reminiscent look passes across Jude’s face before I slap him in the tummy with the placemats. 

“Come on, slacker, you going to put them down before I whack you round the head with them, or what?” I giggle, making my way into the kitchen to see if my mum needs any help. 

I see Jude smile at me over my shoulder as he watches me walk away. “You alright, Mum? Need help with anything?”

“No, I’m alright, thanks, Love. You go and sit down, I’ll bring the food through in a bit,” she flashes a smile at me before opening the oven up, and checking on the beef and potatoes. 

I turn on my heel, walking back into the dining room, when my little brother appears at the doorway. “Judey!” he yells as soon as he spots my best friend. 

My youngest sibling, Leo, runs at Jude, causing him to stop everything he’s doing before he leans down to pick up the little boy. 

“Hello, little man, how are you doing?” Jude squeezes him as tight as he can. In the time that Jude and Leo had known each other, which was the entirety of Leo’s seven years on the planet, they had built up an amazing relationship. Leo considered Jude to be one of his best friends and even went as far as saying that Jude loved him more than me. If he only knew. 

“I’m not too good,” I watch as Leo pouts up at Jude after he’s placed him back on the ground. 

“Why not, Kid?” Jude’s brows furrow, continuing his work setting the table while also giving the small boy as much attention as he can. 

“I’ve been doing my homework all day because Mummy said I had to and if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to play Roblox later.” 

“Well, we can’t be having that, can we?” Jude smiles when Leo shakes his head and lets out a heavy sigh. “So, did you get it all done?”

“I did,” Leo nods, a proud smile on his face. 

“Good kid,” Jude ruffles his hair before he spots me, leaning against the doorframe, watching their interaction. 

“Go and take a seat, Leo,” soft thuds against the floor can be heard as he runs to his chair next to his older sister. “Mum says dinner will be ready soon.”

I sit down in my usual spot, with Jude going to take the seat right next to me before changing his mind and walking around the table to sit in the seat directly across from me instead. 

Jude and I engage in barely thirty seconds of conversation before it’s broken up by the sound of the doorbell ringing. I feel my expression change immediately, to one full of nerves. Jude notices that immediately, watching me in anticipation as I get up from my seat. 

“That’ll be him,” I say, leaving no room for Jude to reply because I’m out of the room in seconds, making my way towards the door. 

“Hey, Babe,” Noah says in his thick American accent as soon as I open the door. 

I move to the side, signalling for him to come in. “Hi,” I say, my words a lot more muted than the bubbly voice that he’s used to. 

Noah shrugs his coat off as he steps inside and I grab it from him, turning to hang it on one of the hooks beside the door. He leans down, pressing a quick kiss on my lips. “You okay?” His brows furrow together as he analyses my face. 

“Yeah,” I nod, smiling up at him. “There’s someone here I’d like you to meet,” I tell him, leading him into the dining room after about a minute of being gone. 

As soon as Noah and I enter the room, I notice Jude look Noah up and down the moment his eyes land on him. He takes in his outfit, his tanned skin and his blonde hair. I can practically see the moment where he acknowledges that he’s not my type, no that that matters, he doesn’t know my type to be anything other than himself. 

“Noah,” I turn to him, a slight smile on my face. “You’ve already met my brother and sister,” I can feel Jude watching me as I point at the kids beside him. I can also see his face change slightly, most likely to show his disdain at the fact that I let Noah into my house before ever telling him about our relationship. “And this,” My gaze falls upon Jude, prompting Noah to look at him for the first time this evening. “Is Jude. My best friend.”

Hii i wanted to ask about ur thoughts on duskwights and their specbio? they are so neglected in lore which makes me so sad since they are so cool in concept, subterranean elezen!!!

THERE ARE SO FEW DUSKWIGHT I THINK THEYRE SO COOL THOUGH ! Also anon this has been sitting in my inbox because I got bored of drawing xiv when it was sent but im back. Hey. anybody wana play

ANYWAYS. I like to think that on most levels elezen are very similar if not the same, as Gelmorra was said to be founded centuries and centuries ago and the wildwood returned to the forest A While ago - even with the sped up creation magic induced speciation happening on Eitherys they did not have a ton of time to become completely different. More like reversion vs continued adaptation. Duskwight skin tends to be less saturated, their eyes tend to be lighter and reflect light, their ears are canonically way stronger and can hear echoes and I think super high pitches like bats. The fastest way to distinguish wildwood from duskwight is their tails and whiskeriness. Their whiskers are usually longer and thicker (and there’s more of them!) because they’re used more often, but it also means they’re much more sensitive and get uncomfortable in the wind and crowds easily. Some of them trim their whiskers if they choose to live above ground. Duskwight tails are much more unique than wildwood tails - instead of being a single unicorn-like shape they can have a ton of variation. Many of them are split at the tip, sometimes down to the base, and they can have patterns and flat moth wing-like shapes and even whiskers tucked in between the fibers! This leads to them being much less reticent to losing their tails, as it’s a unique and sometimes important part of them.

i like bug sneeps. bee sneep? spectacular, he is a spoiled little queen bee, actually. spider sneep? the elegance, the long limb, the sheer goth? butterfly sneep? yes, he actually canonically sits in butterfly gardens with his butterfly friends. moth sneep? the aesthetic, the little “trash butterfly?” yes, this is him actually. ant sneep? he is a hard worker that likes sweet food.

i would love to see a half spider half human sneep from you one day. the sheer elegance you captured with your deer sneep makes me think a spider sneep would THRIVE in this habitat.

Yes! Nightlight Darling originates from this post where they are found and taken by a Yan moth person. They are a robot companion which as the name implies glows in the dark/when someone touches a part of their body (hands, heart, cheeks) Following this storyline, Nightlight Darling is the former companion of another character who later becomes a monster hunter and was abandoned by their parents in the Forrest due to their attachment and clear romantic interest in the android. Okay, so I had about four chapters of Matters of the Heart to read, and I did read all of them yesterday late at night. It was SO GOOD that, even though I had lots of thoughts on them, I couldn't help but skip to the next without commenting. So I decided to come here because there's so much I want to tell you.

First of all, the thing that really got me invested in MoTH was the whole Ace subplot. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LawLu and the way you write them, but my curiosity about Ace's health and the whole family drama is what made me want to read more and more. I was anticipating the moment Law would get involved in Ace's treatment and Luffy's lies would come back to bite him in the ass—I was STARVING to finally read it. I had such high expectations, and I have to say, you did it so well that it was even better than anything I had imagined.

And here comes the first praise: the way you wrote the dialogues? Especially the ones involving Sabo? It was just PERFECT. The whole fight between him and Luffy, LawLu finally talking with each other properly, and then Sabo and Law's small meeting—ALL of it was SO GOOD. As I read, the scenes played out in my head like a movie, and it was so intense. I was amazed by how palpable the characters’ conflicting feelings were.

And just when I thought I couldn't be more invested in the ASL subplot, YOU BRING BLACKBEARD INTO THE STORY AND ADD EVEN MORE DEPTH TO THEIR PAST. I mean, being accused of murder just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time? The fact that Luffy's trauma with bloody situations isn't just tied to the accident but also to witnessing a murder? I WAS IN AWE READING THAT.

I really hope you'll share more of this whole Whitebeard gang subplot with us in the future (maybe through Ace's POV? That would be a delight to read, since we've only seen Ace through others’ POVs up until now).

AND THEN GARP??? OH, I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. DOES HE KNOW ABOUT HIS GRANDSONS’ ACCIDENT? Since Luffy hasn’t reached out, I doubt it. How would he react to knowing that two of his grandsons almost died and he wasn't there to help? To offer any support? And that’s after HE SAID he didn’t want to see them anymore. ALSO, I can't help but think this whole thing is the reason why Law couldn't find any information on Luffy online—because Garp probably made sure to erase anything regarding him and Ace from the internet.

Anyways, I guess that’s all. Thank you for writing this wonderful and captivating story. I can’t wait to learn more about the MoTH universe!

Omg, you have no idea how happy it made me to see this sitting in my inbox. ;_; This story means EVERYTHING to me, and knowing that you think I pulled off the big reveals means the world to me.

Getting to this point of the story was nerve-wracking in more ways than one. I really wanted to do the relationships and build-up justice, and I couldn't help but second-guess myself at times, so hearing this from you is just, ugh, EVERYTHING to me. Dialogues are something I always feared when I started writing, but I'm super proud of the dialogues in MotH! Thank you so much for saying that! I usually do this thing where I'll repeat the dialogue in my head several times, speaking it in the character's voice, until it sounds right/natural. I feel like this technique works really well for me! I do have a vision of this story as a TV-show/movie, and I think that's why it reads that way. Like a TV drama or something haha, that's the way the scenes play out in my head anyway! I love that you see it that way too! The ASL subplot was so much fun to write! I'm really eager to dive deeper into that in the coming chapters and hopefully shed some more light onto it. I can definitely promise you an Ace POV in the future! I promise all your questions will be answered and I hope the remainder of the plot will be equally satisfying! I really pour my whole heart and soul into this fic, and to know that there are people out there who appreciate it and take the time to leave such thoughtful messages to me... it brings tears to my eyes with how happy it makes me. Thank you so, so much!

And I’m not talking “fluffy wing halo uwu” angelic; I’m talking biblically accurate angels here. Look one up if you need a reference; they’re pretty freaky-looking. They have SO many eyes, you don’t even know.

Automated Soul Totem that lingers in the air near the holy grounds. Bug made idol that watches and serves its creators who wish to keep their strong order in check.

Hard to escape its eye's detectors and watchful but graceful float. It meets intruders with bell rings that alerts the keepers of the order. The echoes of the bell can stun intruders as well.

In combat, keepers are known to strike it to replenish soul and prepare more spells for combat.

Now, I also want to explain why I took a slightly different direction with the design:

I remembered awhile back seeing a post explaining why the term "biblically accurate angel" is an issue with the description that is also in this ask

I found several posts when googling and I think it was this one that I remember seeing around (but I also found this reddit post and this other tumblr post)

Given I have never read any religious book in my life and that I am not too familiar with angels in general outside of pop culture references, I figured just making the design religious-esque would be enough and not go too crazy with what seems to be not-angel (but messengers?) horror like descriptions of them

Despite this, I appreciate the ask! It was a fun design~ (also a note for the asker: I do have the axolotl+psychedelic ask still in the inbox but unfortunately I didn't had any good ideas for it yet outside of one concept but if I will see if I'll go back to it. I hope this is alright for now!)

Happy 1 Year to Burning Shores! (plus me being cringe and sappy)

The fact that it's already been entire year is honestly insane. Despite being a newer-ish fan to the Horizon series, these games have had such a huge impact on my life. And when the Burning Shores was announced, little did I know what would be in store for.

First off, Aloy's story post-Forbidden West was handled so incredibly well. Seeing how far she's come since Zero Dawn and her evolution throughout FW has been such a treat to watch. It still blows my mind that high school me thought ZD looked boring and uninteresting then and now I can without a doubt that the Horizon series is one of my favorite video game series.

Burning Shores is still my favorite DLC to this day and I am so glad Guerilla Games told this DLC's story in the way that they did. Seyka's introduction to the series was such a breath of fresh air. And her and Aloy's journey together was some of the most wholesome shit I've ever seen. I pretty much declared myself a Seyloy shipper the moment those two awkward dumbass lesbians (affectionate) started talking to each other, and watching their relationship develop over the course of the DLC nearly brought me to tears.

As a little chaotic lesbian enby, seeing this sort of representation in media as popular as Horizon made me so happy to see and I absolutely cannot wait for what GG has in store for Aloy and Seyka in H3. No matter what direction they decide to take, I have no doubt that GG will handle these two and the story at large in an exciting and meaningful way.

But above all of this, not only did Burning Shores tell an impactful story, it also led me to meeting so many incredible people who I am so honored to call my friends (this is where I'm going to cringe and sappy).

Like seriously, I joined the Moth to Flame discord server (and then later became a mod but that's irrelevant) on a complete whim and it is still one of the best decisions I've ever made. Everyone was so welcoming to me and I felt like I fit right in and like I was finally at home (insert The Idea of Home here for dramatic effect). Words cannot simply describe how much everyone of y'all mean to me and I am honored to have met each of you. Y'all rock and I am grateful for all the late nights spent on voice chat and all of the server bullshit and memes and chaos we inflict on each other everyday.

That's fine I killed canon in cold blood and it's my city now anyway! Blog canon bears only a passing resemblance to 'real' canon, and technically everything on the blog started with this music video and this music video and everything since has been invention with the Squid (@/hvndredbattles @/hvndredzones) so that's the only 'canon' you need if you don't... feel like reading the excessive number of lore essays in the world building tag. However there is lots of information in the world building tag, if you want it. The album other than the videos is more of a tone indicator than anything and I have a whole playlist for that and I don't really acknowledge the comics because they're mostly not very good but hi yes onto the part you actually asked about:

Cherry as someone who wandered too close to zone 07. Zone 07 is a weird wibbly wobbly thing in the west, where the old coast used to be, that encapsulates some kind of phenomenon that nobody's really sure what it is; the city investigated it for awhile and came up short, the zones calls it a thinning place between the living and the dead, anyone who isn't superstitious just calls it Really Fucking Weird if they've encountered anything about it. Even I can't really tell you what it is, half because I don't rightly know and half because it's more fun that I don't. Anyone brave (or dumb, or unlucky) enough to go in dies, one way or the other. Either never seen again or something else that looks like them walks back out. I'm proposing Cherry got a little closer than most, but didn't actually walk in to zone 07 proper, meaning she got to keep her own thoughts but well. Now there's something else, too. Ghost, demon, prolonged hallucination or other psychotic break - well. We'll just never know. — And this would lend to either side of the conflict. Personally I feel more like she's killjoy coded if only out of boredom and the desire to not have to follow so many rules, but having gotten close to 07 could be a city character thing too, albeit she'd have to work for the company in some capacity. Which would be an area like the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W Unit or some science-y field, to have come into contact with it. But also also her name is already Cherry that's so killjoy she very much seems like someone who grew up in the city initially and then went 'fuck this' as a teen and hopped the wall and then either was just particularly susceptible to its draw (it does in fact draw people in, that is part of its weirdness. moths to flame, etc.) or just happened to end up somewhere near 07 and. got reeled dangerously close to disappearing.

Yuna on the verge of becoming one of Better Living's new poster-children after cultivating a little following of her own (perhaps replacing their escaped dove, @lcfthaunted 👀) but it's a big step to sign the rights to your face and body and life away to Better Living literally and not just because they control so much of the infrastructure. Her father may be trying to persuade her away from it without actually saying the quiet part (that it will destroy her, eat her up bit by bit with no remorse and barely even a thank you) out loud, for fear of what might happen to both of them if he does(?). Anyway, she'd really have to get the crassness under wraps for it. And the city has ways of getting rid of it by force, if she signs her life away and doesn't quite manage it on her own. Image is everything, after all.

Hansel goes in here somewhere I know he does but my brain is returning error noises. something something european transfers something something Better Living's "progress without concerns for ethical boundaries". I don't know how I feel re: giving them the ability to revive the dead but to be frank there's precedence in some parts of the fandom over the years and if it's still highly experimental and not something that can just be Done to anyone at any time..... He's just mild and yet unflinching enough to end up somewhere deep in a lab doing things he should absolutely not be doing with BLi money and resources, because it's Science, and the company is taking advantage of it. Encouraging the worst parts of it. Show us how to raise the dead Hansel it is a worthwhile pursuit and there will be no negative long term consequences for this :)

dear lordt. these two have got so much in common. from the way they talk and the way they see things are so similar. only difference is Julia is smarter and Bennie is so much more. what do you call it. chalant (opposite of nonchalant). they would meet after Bennie was expelled so that meant through townies. and as Julia is with the whole clique, she gets along with Bennie super well. and as Bennie is with everyone ever, he likes Julia immediately. he freakinh loves Julia. he thinks she's fun to hang out with, and although he feels kinda underappreciated with the way Julia never reacts to his annoying antics as much as Clint or Otto does, there's still retorts from time to time and Bennie thinks that Julia is #hilarious, and also, somehow, fashionable! and sometimes when they talk whenever they're doing whatever stuff townies do, Bennie would eventually pick up on her and the jocks' kind of mutual dislike and Bennie runs with it. he loves shitting on the jocks but like. discreetly you know. he's subtle with it 😛 Julia would also update him on Bullworth news and whenever they'd gossip, Bennie is the one supporting Julia even if she's so obviously in the wrong because he has no clue what happened

they'd do so many things together, gaming, smoking (cigarettes AND weed!), fixing cars (Julia fixes them and Bennie stands around), talking. but there's one thing I don't think Julia would like to do with Bennie around and that's causing trouble. while it'd be fun cause it's Bennie, he'd make anythinh fun, causing trouble also requires a surprisingly good amount of stealth and stuff that Julia's gotten used to but Bennie is just. so SHITTY at it. he refuses to be quiet and when they get caught, Bennie panics like CRAZY!!!! he's the type to repeat Julia's name and everything, point out that they have in fact been caught. it's extrmlye stressful for Julia but fun for Bennie. so the next time Bennie suggests to do something crazy, Julia is NOT agreeing. they should just stick to gaming together .

just a lil update to say that i'll be moving soon, so over the next 2–3 weeks i'll be quite busy and won't be able to post a lot a lot (not that i usually post that much but i do try!)

it's funny, i've been hearing a lot about blog competition and fighting for notes and monopolising panel show content blah blah in my inbox recently. (i only included one here but there's genuinely been quite a few just in the last couple of weeks.) i don't know what might be going on on other blogs or discords or whatever, and i honestly didn't even know these were still convos people are having; i kinda thought we all agreed that this site isn't as big as it used to be, notes aren't as plentiful as they used to be, but by golly we'll just keep on posting anyways. i don't know if there are edit tags for any panel shows but i don't use them; i just post content here for my current followers and if you guys like it then that's all i wanted to do. i don't care if there are other panel show blogs with more followers or posts that get more notes or better gifs or better blogs or whatever. it's all fine. i don't care. i don't think about it. so you don't have to ask me that stuff — how to grow your blog or get more followers or more engagement, or how i feel about other blogs that post the same content as i do — i won't answer it. just post it because you want to; don't race to be the first one to get stuff at (especially at the expense of making content you're proud of!); don't put other people down; don't send anonymous hate. just be cool and worry about you. if you can't have fun here without validation in the notes then you're gonna be miserable. flopping is integral to being active.

this move from LA does puzzle me!! Clarke and Spence should be getting more priority ice time next season. the Burroughs trade would push them out of the lineup unless Burroughs is getting put in the AHL or lak get rid of another defenseman.

perhaps an omen? Matt Roy leaving? or perhaps noted gorgeous leg weight Andreas Englund? <- i’m more inclined to this as it seems Burroughs and Englund would occupy the same role!!
