my 48 year old father really, really, REALLY likes oranges.

how much does he like oranges, you ask?

so much that he was literally bouncing when he was opening an orange for me because it was a new kind that he saw at brookshire's and thought would be interesting to try (so of course he bought them) and then giggled when i tried it.

he sits, slightly lost within his thoughts, next to his daughter in the livingroom with his chin resting upon his fingers and with one leg crossed over the other. the topic itself wasn't one necessarily brought up before as it's been fairly open inside ( and outside, he's noticed particularly with sylvie ) the home with questions being answered with the maturity promised to always give his kids whenever something was asked in earnest.

there isn't really a memory of him coming out per say but that doesn't mean he's been entirely secret about it either. those who were close just knew it, others found out through noticing things either on him or his behaviours, hell, even if someone were that interested they could look back on previous articles done about him in his early career in which he was spotted with whoever he was dating at the time - they'd notice soon enough the variation of genders written about. his own gender isn't shouted about, either, a few pins and pronouns in their social media felt appropriate enough, when asked about in interviews he answers honestly.

and inside the clan? the elders certainly never cared enough to ask so he simply doesn't talk to them about it.

" the only people who have had an issue with it are so-called gossip journalists and people who I, quite frankly, couldn't give another thought towards. they're unimportant to me, therefore, their opinions have no affect on me. so, the term coming out never applied to me fully if that makes sense, and if you discover something down the line as you grow up, too, don't feel like you ever need to hide it - you will always be accepted and loved by us. "

-one of the strongest demigods ever who's saved the world like at least 3 times, fought multiple gods & titans and WON (and is a tartarus survivor)

-the literal main architect of OLYMPUS who's also saved the world multiple times (also tartarus survivor)

-THE lord of the wild who's also close friends with the first two (and has helped save the world multiple times)

-an emo kid from the 1930s who again helped save the world and is also a tartarus survivor (TWICE)

-a son of apollo who survived tartarus with nothing but cargo shorts and sheer will (pun intended)

-the main designer and builder for the argo II, also the first hephaestus kid to have fire powers since hundreds of years ago (did i mention killed gaea? no? yeah he did that too)

-a girl who somehow charmspeak-ed gaea into falling back asleep (also side note daughter of super famous actor because why not)

-pretty much everybody is a two-time war veteran

-THE GOD APOLLO who just sometimes comes down to visit in the form of a teenage boy

-did i mention dionysus, god of wine madness and theatre
