thank you all who watched JWCT SS2 on Premiere Day!!!

Now that it has been 24 hours, I will share the shot that my work friends kept making fun of me for (and still do) ...

presenting

my over-rendered mangoes (at least for storyboard standards lmao)

Anyway, thanks to our Eric Hawkins for accurately and beautifully matching my intended lighting for these fruit, Ryan Donoghue for matching the perfect tree sim and movement, and our Animation Team at CG CG, for taking this shot of fruit that really needed to be like one frame and no color and making them shine, lmao.

Anywho, enjoy season 2 everyone! The Crew continues to love to see everyone's thoughts :]

Regarding the weird text stuff- you can see this in multiple DW shows. I remember on Spirit Riding Free (and I'm sure this happened on jwct also) you have to often intentionally discuss in meetings which signs/words/text HAS to actually be written out. That's also why you might notice we'll try to do as many signs with graphic images instead (like having a symbol instead of writing "STOP") to avoid needing to pay for international translations as much as possible

Regarding the DarkJurassic feature the thing that was up today, someone said the images were AI... I know its supposed to be a conspiracy website full of cuckoo's but please say they got an actual human artist or artists to create it? 🙏🙏😭😭

I'm pretty sure our human design team made all of those-- they were hanging up around the office for years lol. The intent was definitely to make them look like the sort of quick photoshop clickbait thumbnails and advertisements you see on real shady websites on purpose. And the reason there is no legible text is because we had no budget to write copy (you have to pay someone to write all the writing that appears on screen and that's why it usually shows up as gibberish in JWCC and JWCT unless it's REALLY important). I think those images were intended to be possible webpage designs that could have appeared in the actual show in like... the background of a shot or something.

anyway, i won't name names or specify which ships/theories, but it has been fun to see what ships, theories, and interpretations we the crew anticipated fans have had about jwct/jwct ss2 from like...a fandom standpoint.
