Only for coping purposes I am choosing to believe that the reason Daniel was relatively upbeat on Thursday and his mood drastically shifted over the weekend and the reason why they are STILL not announcing anything is because may be it was he and his team who said fuck your pushing me around treating me as expendable, I'm out. And I'll take my austin popularity with you.

And now they don't know how to handle the debacle.

I personally am inclined to believe that Vcarb wants him to see the season out. Daniels reliable, gives good feedback, works well with the engineers and I don't think they would want a shake-up to their line up this late into the season. Things seem to be more or less stable for the kind of car they provide their drivers with. Hence the initial denial by Bayer and the uncertainty from Meikis.

It's redbull that NEEDS to put Liam in that seat because data, and they are hoping he'll be good enough for a red bull seat. Not for Chequeo's but for Max's. (I really think he's either in a different car by 2026 or not in any car at all)
