When I woke up this morning, I thought to myself, ‘It’s gonna be daylight savings soon.’ Then I realized, I don’t know what that means... It’s when you set the clocks forward or back to maximize daylight during the workday. That’s not very interesting. I thought we were literally saving daylight.

I'm just really tired of people constantly shitting on interracial m/f pairings, just because they want more m/m or f/f pairings, and in turn, looking racist as hell with their comments. Like I totally get wanting more m/m and f/f pairings, don't get me wrong, but god fucking damn.

yeah that’s the thing, it’s not about not liking the ship it’s about the way so many people express their hate for it... you could easily say you don’t like it without making racist comments in the process like i really don’t understand why so many people think what they’re saying is ok? supposedly “advocating” for one marginalized group doesn’t mean it’s ok to say offensive things about another marginalized group in the process??? in reality it’s more like i’m just mad my ship isn’t canon and i don’t actually give a fuck about representation or morality or whatever the fuck they hide behind to justify their ship being better than the other one

Honestly thank you for this response. I have literally no issues with people disliking Negan, because yes, he’s a villain. I just really hate when I get personally attacked by someone who I hardly even know just because I’m a fan of him. I’ve even gotten compared to the serial killer fandom JUST because I’m a fan of him, which, to me, makes no sense. At all.

My god. I wish people would go outside sometimes. Like how do people who are obsessed with what others do in fandom even alive and functioning in this world? 

Yes fandom has influence on people and reflects the real world in a lot of ways. Because we often connect with it on a personal level, etc. But there are also lines to be drawn and the ability to separate fiction from reality. And to realize that you’re not morally superior just because you only enjoy Purely Good media (which, btw, doesn’t really exist). It’s fine if something makes you uncomfortable or you dislike it, but that doesn’t mean you get to be the authority on everyone else and automatically shame people who do like something in a way that you don’t. Because it’s fiction and comparing enjoying something through the safety of a fictional setting vs being fans of actual real life serial killers... is absurd. With this logic, anyone who enjoys TWD at all and likes any of the characters or any other violent show, etc etc are all Bad People.
