Summary : When avoiding your over protective brother can lead to some good sex
Pairing : Dante Torres x Atwater!reader
Warning/s: Smut
Under 18s DNI
Tumblr media
Having a brother in the best unit in the city had some perks but there were also a lot of disadvantages. When your boyfriend messaged saying that he had found your handbag in his car when he got to work this morning you thought nothing about just turning the car around and going to meet him to get it back. You had also forgotten you were in the same clothes you were in last night when Kevin came around to see you before you headed out on your date.
“Ah little Atwater. You want up to intelligence?” Trudy asked and you nodded
“Yeah please Trudy” You smiled and she walked out from behind her desk walking you up to intelligence. “Thank you Trudy” You smiled as she walked away. Dante instantly smiled over as he saw you.
“Hey Y/N what are you doing here?” Kevin asked walking over as he spotted you
“I left my bag at Molly’s last night. I know it was stupid but there was nothing in it but make-up touch up and perfume.  Torres found it and I’m now just here to collect it” You smiled
“You’re wearing the same clothes as yesterday” You looked down at your outfit due to your brothers words
“I wear outfits more than once” You shrug as he gives to the protective look
“I don’t trust you. I’ll find out who it is” He replied and you rolled your eyes. “I promise I will and I’ll hurt him”
“Okay Kevin. You’re jumping to conclusions that there’s even anyone there” Kevin gave you a look as you rolled your eyes walking over to Dante.
“I just left it in my car” He smiled
“Okay. I’ll walk down with you” You shrug before following him downstairs and out to his car
“It’s quite fun avoiding your brother” He hummed standing in front of you as you leaned against his car
“Is that right? You could have reminded me to get changed!” You exclaimed. You were hiding your relationship because Kevin typically scared all of your boyfriends off.
“Oops” He smirked and you shook your head. Dante leaned down pressing a kiss to your lips “My house tonight?” He asked against your lips
“Sounds like a plan to me, officer” You hummed.
A couple hours later you were sitting in Dante’s house after he got home from work. You were meant to be watching a movie but in all honesty you were far more interested in him.
“Enjoying the sight?” He teased with a smirk and you nodded.
“I don’t know who wouldn’t. But they better not. You’re mine” You hummed as he moved so he was now on top of you. His arms holding him up next to your head
“Oh yeah? That right?” He teased and you nodded
“I’ll kill them if they look at you” You hummed
“I’d have to arrest you then” He replied
“Hot” You shrugged and he smirked
“Oh yeah?” You nodded looking up at him “Let’s see if you’re saying that later then Querida” You could feel the heat between your legs as he called you darling in Spanish. “Bedroom” He whispered against your ear before moving away. You happily complied walking through to the bedroom stripping off your clothes as you did. Laying on the bed as Dante walked in the room
“mi niña hermosa” He whispered and you smiled putting your body weight on your forearms as he walked over taking his shirt off. You frowned as you saw new cuts and bruises on his chest.
“Baby” You whispered running your fingertips over them
“No. Tonight is all about you Querida” You smiled lying back as he carefully pushed you back. In one swift move he moved your panties down your legs and threw them to the other side of the room. His fingers moving from your hips down to your lips, barely touching you as he spread your wetness. Your hips moved subconsciously as you wanted his touch more and more. Sex with Dante was now something you craved. He moved up kissing you as his fingers began to rub circles on your clit.
“More please” You whispered as he pressed kisses along your jaw, one finger sliding into you followed by a second causing a moan to escape from your lips. Dante with his other hand palmed his cock before pulling his boxers down and pushing in, filling you up. Dantes fingers are still working their magic on your clit as you grabbed the sheets on his bed. Head thrown back as you clenched around him, moans now more frequent as you felt the knot in your stomach tighten
“Ven querida” Dante’s Spanish was all you needed to push you over the edge. Your body feeling as it was falling apart as Dante continued to thrust into, his thrusts now becoming more staggered. After a moment he pulled out, pressing a kiss to your head as you came back around from your high.
“Querida. Need anything?” He asked and you shook your head
“Just to clean up” You smiled now looking up at him. Dante disappeared for a moment before coming back with a cloth to clean you up.
“Are you sure? No fruit juice, a little snack?” He asked being the complete gentleman that he was
“No. I’m okay I promise” You smiled as he wrapped his arms around you “What inspired that sex?” You asked looking up at him
“The fun of hiding from your brother”

KILLING ME — DANTE TORRES: [Spring Prompts]
Tumblr media
A/N: idk just looking at how pretty Dante’s eyes are always reminds me of spring. I’m still annoyed with the direction they took him in a few episodes ago and that comes into play here for reader :) this is a contrast to my previous spring piece on Dante but it’s nice to switch things up no? Also happy first day of spring ⭐️🌾!!!
WARNINGS: Language + angst ofc!
PROMPT IS FROM HERE + I’m using: 10.  “Somewhere over the rainbow, I give a fuck.”
˙⊹܀☁︎˚˙⊹⁺. ˙⊹܀☁︎˚˙⊹⁺. ˙⊹܀☁︎˚˙⊹⁺. ˙⊹܀☁︎˚˙⊹⁺. ˙⊹܀˚˙⊹⁺.
The house is too quiet for your liking, which is why you usually have your attention on something else to fill up the white noise. You’re just getting off FaceTime since your parents (who were a few hours behind in time difference) started busting out into some soul train moves—you were just relieved neither of them pulled a hamstring—when there’s pounding at your door.
Sighing, you place your night time skincare routine down on the counter and exit the bathroom upstairs and down the steps across the hall, which lead downstairs to the main floor. As you made your way through the home towards the front door, you’re not entirely sure who could be outside at this time of the night. You just got home from your good friend’s charcuterie board birthday party (which was actually in January but they decided to go live in Ireland with their situationship turned fiancé) and was not up for company.
Peeking out the window around the corner that shows the side view of the front stoop, you exhale at the side profile of the familiar face. Yanking the curtains back into place, you make your way over and unlock the door.
“Dante,” you state as he welcomes himself inside, “I didn’t get a text you were coming over.”
He blinks, which he does a lot when he’s tired or his mind is racing, “yeah, sorry about that. I just assumed you’d be up.”
“Uh huh,” you cross your arms, “I was just getting unready…you alright?”
Dante lifts his shoulders, “why wouldn’t I be?”
You stare at him and reply, “I don’t know…you hardly ever show up here without a text or call and I think I know you pretty well so…how was work? Something go down?”
Dante needs to keep his hands busy, so he’s pulling off his puffer coat and tossing it on the two-seat sofa against that side window you just peeked out of. He hates that you sense that something is up but he doesn’t want the focus to be on him, although he appreciates the sentiment deep down.
“Sorry,” he apologizes again while you sigh and wave your hands upwards, silently announcing that you were heading back upstairs, “…you just get in?”
You’re leading the way back up the first set of stairs and make your way over to the master bathroom. Dante leans in the doorway as you go about your business, headband keeping your hair out of your face, wristbands on to catch the water that always tends to race down your forearms, and just watches you as you take your time.
You were a little tipsy from your good friend’s sangria’s, you preferred white over red since the red tended to have you swaying a bit more but you pulled it together with lots of water despite your tongue still feeling tingly.
“Yes,” you say after awhile of washing your face that Dante wondered if you would ever say anything, “I went to that party Seán was throwing. Remember? I asked you weeks ago if you wanted to go but work came up.”
Dante dipped his head at the mention of your old college friend. Seán was a character and always spoke his mind, picking up on the vibe between you two before anything ever transpired. You and Dante were the typical high school friends that were always around each other while also getting into some mess and had your share of hard upbringings.
You were there through Juvi and after, (although he desperately tried to push you away once he joined that gang and he thought once you went off to college in Indiana, that it would be easier to no longer be friends. Ha!) which seemed like nothing could break your bond. At times it felt like that’s exactly what people wanted but these challenges held no weight against the storm of you two.
“Right, so how was it? Get into trouble?” He inquires, resting his head against the door frame.
You snorted as you glanced over at Dante, “I could ask you the same thing.”
Dante smirked, “fine then, spare me the details.”
“You’re welcome.” You smile as you return to your work, “…did you eat?”
Dante raises his brows with amusement in his voice, “do you honestly think I’m going to turn down any food if I did?”
“Fat ass,” you muttered, dodging the jab Dante sent at your hip, “I’m just saying if you plan on staying the night, I don’t want you reporting back to mom in the morning that I lack hospitality.”
Dante rolls his eyes as you start brushing your teeth, “Ma knows you won’t ever do me wrong…so I’m gonna raid that fridge while you finish up.”
Giving the thumbs up, Dante leaves you be as he heads back down stairs letting his thoughts hit him again. He’s not sure how long he’s had the fridge open, just staring in it until you’re sneaking underneath his arm to pull out the aluminum pan for him and hand it over.
Taking a seat at the opposite side of the island, you watch as Dante moves almost in autopilot, going through your cabinets for a plate, drawers for utensils, and into the microwave for a late night dinner. He slides the plate onto the island and leans his body against it, fork pushing around the little leftovers you made for the party, which was a hit so you knew something was up.
Tapping your fingertips against your cheek you press, “Tay…you’re killing me here. What’s up?”
His green eyes flick to yours briefly before they’re back down on the plate, “Nothing—
“I feel like you’re lying though, just to be honest.” Your eyes are in slits as you let the irony slip through your lips.
Dante snickers at this, “that’s funny.”
“Yeah well sure,” you answer, “but don’t try and deflect! We’re each other’s person and we’re supposed to be able to tell each other things and I don’t feel like you’re holding up your end.”
Dante frowns, “since when?”
“Since now,” your words are instant as you chase his eyes, “at exactly 11:18pm.”
Dante decides to finally put some food into his mouth and takes his time chewing. “…what if I say it’s work stuff?”
“Then okay.” You exhale, “Just tell me what you can if it’s bothering you so much.”
Dante is quiet, which isn’t unusual but it’s the way he’s quiet this time; to the point it’s so loud like your home often is. “I can’t tell you about the case but I can say it reminds me of past times…and it’s bringing out a side of me that I thought I buried.”
That statement alone makes it feel like the temperature inside of your home went cold just like the spring weather dropping outside. When Dante made the decision to get involved in the CPD, you weren’t exactly thrilled just like Mama Catalina but you supported the purpose Dante had. You were aware this career path resulted from his upbringing, you were right there to witness most of it (even being in the crossfire a few times) but you always knew there would be cases that could trigger old habits.
Perhaps they weren’t old habits after all.
“Most things can’t stay buried…they eventually come back to the surface based on situations you’re in, no?” You speak, which is exactly why you didn’t want Dante to work in that field, however he always saw it from a different perspective.
It was a power trip in a sense and you weren’t sure if this was the right way to go although you understood, which you voiced but the thing about Dante is he’ll always be persistent.
Dante stares at you, “guess I didn’t bury it enough but I can’t be ashamed of anything if it’ll get me somewhere.”
“Well where exactly are you trying to get?” You quiz, brows furrowed.
Dante is back to playing with his food, “I’m just trying to solve the case.”
“You expect me to believe that’s all this is?” It’s your turn to lean your elbows on the counter, “when I know it isn’t so, be real with me here.”
Dante runs a hand over his buzzed head overwhelmed, “I don’t know how or if I should even say this to you.”
“Why?” You’re confused and it’s when Dante blinks his stare back at you, you read him quite well, “oh…it’s a woman.”
“I—
You’re filling in the gaps, “And she reminds you of everything back home.”
Dante’s analyzing your face now but you don’t give anything away. He doesn’t have to say anything yet because you’re putting the pieces together pretty quickly. It was extraordinary work, really.
“You connect with her.” You breathe, “…What’s her story?”
He says your name in warning but you fan your hand about.
“I know it’s confidential but quick notes wouldn’t hurt.” You pry.
Dante knows there’s only two people in his life that he can trust and that’s his Ma and you. So in short, he gives you the quick run down of him meeting a woman while undercover who’s also involved in the drug dealing business with her abusive husband.
“And I crossed a line that I don’t think I can come back from.” He whispers to you as you nod.
You swallow as you casually say, “like what? Sleeping with her?”
When Dante doesn’t respond you cough out some laughter, “oh wow…I might actually be drunk because did you just confirm in that Dante way that you had sex with Mrs. Cartel?”
He wasn’t sure how you figured that out.
“…it just happened.”
“Well I don’t know about you but I didn’t just let myself fall on your dick a couple of times.” You rant, “and you and I? Don’t just let things happen.”
Dante widens his eyes at your bluntness and starts to figure that maybe he should have continued keeping this to himself. “I don’t know what you want me to say here. You wanted me to spill and I did.”
Gold star for Dante everyone!
“You’re right because I figured it was eating away at you the moment you walked through my door at ten o’clock at night but it was all because you were eating away at someone else.” The passive aggression was coming in a bit, you acknowledge that with a wince.
You wouldn’t admit it out loud but you were feeling a way about it—as if that wasn’t obvious. Of course you and Dante had your intimate moments but it was him who didn’t want to continue because he felt like he couldn’t give you the love you deserve then. Which you strongly disagreed with but why fight for something that felt one-sided? Dante’s always had a rebellious streak but the intention was never to use or break your heart which is why he had to put an end to that aspect of your friendship.
These are just things you bury right? Most friends can’t come back from taking that step but if you don’t have a genuine friendship as the foundation of a relationship, how do you expect to get through anything?
“Why are you giving me shit right now?” Dante tightened his jaw, “why can’t you just be my friend and listen?!”
Scoffing you say, “you didn’t come here for me to listen and give advice because Dante Torres is always going to do whatever the hell he wants! you came here for comfort because you made that choice to slip back into the dark and I’m realizing hearing the bits you just told me, that I can’t give that to you. Not tonight.”
And it wasn’t in terms of anything sexual. When Dante stood on something, he wouldn’t change his mind. He knew he loved you but he also knew he wasn’t capable of giving more to you and the moment you wouldn’t accept that, he vowed that he wouldn’t take advantage of your heart any longer when you felt so strong about what you could be romantically.
You’re kicking yourself because you knew you should have been prepared for this. It was certainly a possibility that Dante could have met someone on the job but not like this! Seán pushed for you to go on dates and although you knew you had a lot to offer, it still stung sometimes. Most of those dates didn’t measure up, except for that older guy on the SWAT team (what was it with you falling for the law enforcement?!) who was divorced and also unsure about the dating scene that you didn’t mind laughing and texting with from time to time.
Dante didn’t approve and you noticed how his eyes tightened at the corners whenever you brought up the older man but you brushed that off as Dante simply being protective. How silly of you to think otherwise!
It also wasn’t your job to figure out Dante’s demons for him but you still loved him anyway.
“…Are you mad at me?”
“I’m D. For all the above!” You throw your hands up in the air, “I can’t believe—actually I can but you chose me to tell instead of Atwater or Ruzek?”
Dante shrugs his shoulders, “they’re not you…and I expected—I don’t know what I expected with you.”
“I’m not your mother, Tay. I’m not gonna hold you to my chest and tell you it’s all going to be okay when it probably won’t. Everything is unpredictable with that kind of danger! It sounds like you’re going down the wrong road with that one and I know you see that now so I can’t.” You step down from the barstool.
Dante is frowning now, hating how you were taking this screw up so personal. You shouldn’t be involved. He was good at holding everything in but not when it came to you. And Dante couldn’t even lie and say it was an ego thing either, he wasn’t like that, he respected you too much but Gloria had his head spinning.
He let her in and that can be his own downfall.
“What do you mean?” He moves with you.
You sigh, “it means that I’m not ready to listen to you get taken advantage of by someone that feels normal. Your Version of normal. I’m no therapist, just some nerdy chemist but it sounds like you’re trying to find an escape in her because it’ll help you to keep burying everything you won’t resolve.”
He’s shaking his head at you not wanting to believe any of that, “It’s just my job that I’m handling? and i get that I had a weak moment…I shouldn’t have told you and wouldn’t have told you if it has you acting like this. The last thing I want is you taking this to heart.” Dante grips your wrist, scanning your face which is not hiding anything now.
Your face burns and you use your other hand to massage the space in between your brows, “well sorry, Somewhere over the rainbow, I give a fuck. I can play poker face for awhile but the truth is I’m not over you and to hear that it took a case for you to move on—
“Wait, hold on.” Dante’s eyes are a dark mossy green now , “You’re acting like I’m telling you that I’m running away with her to elope or something and that’s not it.”
“She’s married so,” the response is sarcastic as you’re ready to walk off but Dante pulls you back to grip both sides of your face so you meet his gaze, “it still meant something.”
He wasn’t so sure but he didn’t want to pick your brain further on that in fear that he’ll upset you more. Dante just knew it wasn’t love like you may have thought…it was just a case that he needed to solve and never planned to take it that far.
Dante sighs and wraps his arms over your shoulders, pulling you against his body, pressing the sides of your heads together, “I fucked up and didn’t think, once with her and twice with telling you, knowing our past which is most important to me. You don’t have to worry about any of it, I’m not going anywhere and won’t ever leave you behind.”
It is possible that both you and Dante maybe in too deep and killing each other slowly over time with these unresolved feelings. The push and pull that’s always lingering and the avoidance definitely holds some weight but both of you didn’t ever imagine giving this up.
That’s just not what this relationship required.
You muffled, “…are you staying?”
Now knowing or having a feeling of what Dante was dealing with, you didn’t feel comfortable letting him leave to ride the streets alone—although there was no doubt he can handle himself—you felt better if he stayed.
“I don’t know if I should.”
“Well,” you sniffed as you pulled back, “you know where your room is if you decide to.”
Tonight Dante hates to watch you walk away from him so he softly calls out to you again as you halt on the back stairs, “Goodnight.”
He wants to tell you that he loves you at the end, which you’re already aware of but it hangs on his tongue unsaid. Dante knows it wouldn’t make you feel any better and wouldn’t erase your frustrations so, he’s content staying in the room not far from yours, keeping you company—even if it had to be at a distance for the night.

secret boyfriend- dante torres x reader
overview: working as a firefighter at 51 was a dream come true apart from the fact everyone knows everything, yet when you get a new boyfriend your best friends try their best to figure out who it is.
trigger warning: none a bit cheesy, not proofread
**
“no i’ve definitely got it this time” blake stated as he joined you, ritter and violet at the table you laughed as he sat down at the round table in the common room. they’d been trying to figure out who your new boyfriend is, but dante is new to intelligence you didn’t want all your friends from 51 ambushing him.
“i’m not even sure if you guys know him yet” you could see ritter stuck in his thoughts trying to figure out who it could be blake had a huge smile on his face confident with his answer that he was finally going to reveal your boyfriend.
“will halstead. it’s gotta be i saw you two talking at med last shift” blake spoke confidently, he couldn’t be more wrong, violet laughed knowing it definitely wasn’t the ginger having said to violet a long time ago jay was the more attractive brother.
“no blake, and if i was dating a halstead it would be jay” you laughed, blake huffed now trying to think of someone else who could possibly be your boyfriend having no idea it was the new guy in intelligence.
“who’s dating a halstead?” stella stopped as she walked past the table pulling a chair over to sit between you and blake joining the conversation.
“y/n has a boyfriend but she wont tell us who so we’re trying to guess.” ritter looked over at stella in hopes she would know more, but she sighed shaking her head as she tried to think of anyone she’d seen you with.
“he a doctor?” she asked and you shook your head, you weren’t sure they even knew dante was in intelligence they may have seen him at mollys though.
“no but you might have seen him at mollys” you gave your best friends a hint, blake and ritter now whispering ideas between themselves. stella now thinking about anyone she’d seen while working behind the bar at mollys.
“firefighter?” violet asked hopefull, if he was a firefighter she doubted he would be in this house and they didn’t know very many other firefighters.
“nope” you smiled happily enjoying watching your friends struggle to figure out who you were dating, your dating life was easy compared to blake’s who had just slept with herrmanns niece.
“a cop?” ritter asked and you stayed quiet causing blake to smile.
“so he’s a cop! he intelligence?” blake asked but luckily you were saved by kelly calling out your name while walking into the common room.
“some flowers were just dropped off for you” kelly said and you smiled getting up to go and see what flowers dante had gotten you, your friends getting up to follow you, walking out to the apparatus floor to see a bunch of roses left on the squad table taking the note from the bouquet of flowers you read the note that had been left on them. blake peering over your shoulder also reading the note.
“come on y/n you’ve got to tell us now, he seems like a gentleman” stella spoke up looking at the flowers and you smiled he really is.
“you guys might see him at mollys later” that was the last thing you said before the alarm went of signifying you had to go on a call, running to the truck with blake and stella you put your gear on and jumped in the back where blake quizzed you on the way to the scene.
the way back to the house all the members of truck 81 began quizzing you, you laughing as everyone continued to guess wrong, every member of intelligence every doctor at med. had been guessed but not one person guessed dante.
as you walked back into the common room you were met with ritter, violet and brett stood against the counter with wide cheeky grins, blake stood next to you still guessing random names that you just shook your head too, as you got closer to your three friend their grins grew.
“brett gave us a hint” ritter smiled arms crossed over his chest, the look on his face one of glory as he was clearly proud of himself thinking he was about to put everyone to shame and give up your boyfriends name.
“did she now?” you smiled pouring yourself a cup of coffee blake immediately asking brett for more information.
“the new guy in intelligence.” ritter stated proudly, violet, brett and blake all now looking at you waiting for you to confirm if ritter was correct, you looked up at him with a smile.
“mollys after shift and you’ll find out” was the last thing said before the sirens went off again and it was brett and violets time to head out on a call, leaving ritter and blake to question you further about dante, you were consistent with telling them to wait until they met him properly at mollys after shift.
a few more calls and a few more cups of coffee later and your shift had ended to your relief you could now head to mollys and relax with your friends and your boyfriend. after your shift you went home to change into some nicer clothes before meeting your friends at mollys for 7.
“where is he?” blake asked as you walked in, his eagerness making you chuckle. blake was always so involved and interested.
“he’s on his way. stella two beers please” you smiled to your friend behind the bar and she nodded, turning back to blake, violet and ritter you could tell they were excited to meet dante.
“can you guys calm down don’t scare him off” you laughed, you loved your friends but you couldn’t deny they could be too much sometimes. violet nodded drinking her beer as you all began talking about your day and the calls you’d been on.
then a group entered mollys, intelligence. jay kev and adam walked in followed by kim and hailey. then dante walked in. your eyes falling straight on him, you got up making your way over to him, he smiled seeing you as you took his hand leading you over to your friends.
“dante, this is blake ritter violet and my lieutenant stella” you introduced your best friends to your boyfriend as he smiled at them you couldn’t help but fall in love with him.
“and you guys this is dante my boyfriend and yes ritter the newest member of intelligence” dante smiled at your words blake and ritter both going to shake his hand which he gratefully returned shaking their hands.
“you owe me 20 bucks i was right” ritter quickly whispered into blake’s ear as dante sat down next to you

A Piece of Mine
A/N: After watching S10: Epi 21 and then rewatching S10: Epi 4. A thought came to me, how would Dante's girlfriend react to seeing his unbounded rage?
The car ride home was quiet. I gazed at the images out of the passenger side window that was blurred by the rain. Was I overreacting? I’ve never seen him enraged like this before and it unleashed a hurricane in my head that he doesn’t know about, whose name I haven’t thought about until this moment. Dante’s stoicism, his gentle voice, his shyness, his vulnerability, his pensive stares, it all endeared me to him. But was all of that a facade to counter the rage that lived beneath the surface of his being? Was my judgment clouded because of it? I should've seen it, why didn't I see it? I’ve been here before, but this was not then, Dante is the complete opposite of him, or is he?
"Babe, let me explain." His voice pulled me from my melancholy reverie. He reached out and rested his hand on my knee.
I instinctively pushed his hand away, “don’t touch me.”
The acid in my voice caught us both off guard, I felt him stiffen next to me and my anger rushed forth like a tsunami wave because how dare he flinch when I just saw him bring a man twice his size down to his knees, hands in prayer as if Dante was his God begging for mercy. How dare he!
“Everything was a lie.”
“I never lied to you.”
“How did I miss this? How could I have been so stupid?”
“Babe, please.”
“You never get angry, you don’t raise your voice, not once when most people react, you just…I shrugged and trailed off. “How can someone as shy as you have this level of rage inside of them?”
He pointed at himself, “I never said I was shy, you assumed that because of my quiet nature. I’m a guy, all guys have different levels of aggression, it all comes down to how you choose to deal with that pent up anger. The gym, boxing is the way I release most of that energy and you are never around to see it, so I understand why you’re reacting like this.”
I scoffed, “you can’t possibly understand how I feel. Have you ever killed anyone with your bare hands?”
His fingers tightened on the steering wheel, “anyone can kill another with their bare hands.”
“I’m not talking about anyone, Dante, I’m talking about you? Have you killed a man with your bare hands?”
He looked at his hands for a beat, his eyes flashed over to me piercing my own before they turned back to the road. His expressive eyes spoke sentences, but his lips replied with one word. “No.”
“But you could?”
“Any cop can, anyone in law enforcement can, man or woman.”
“Again with the deflecting.”
I gazed out the window watching his reflection as the car stopped and he turned off the engine. He closed his eyes and rolled his neck to the right,  the way he does when he becomes exasperated, then to his left; he opened his eyes and exhaled. He turned to me and unhooked my seatbelt. I opened the car door, stepping out before he had the chance to open his door and get to my door. He hated when I opened my own door and I slammed it shut knowing it would add to his exasperation that was building.
I didn’t have the key, so I waited as he opened the door to our apartment. I stepped in front of him, kicked off my shoes and continued down the hall, feeling his presence behind me as he followed me into the bedroom.
“You want the truth?”
“Yes.”
I had my back to him, he spun me around and took a step forward into my personal space and before my brain could relay the action to my body, he spoke, coolly “don’t move.” With his dark eyes fixed on my face, I felt the energy in the air shift as the heat from his body coalesced with the cold chill that escaped my core and scraped across my spine.
I could taste the peppermint scent emitting from his lips, I felt myself sway hypnotically, one kiss would end this argument.
“Are you afraid of me?” My breath hitched, my internal goddess hissed, yesssss. I shook my head. His lips brushed against my ear and I shivered, “I need to hear you say it. Remember, use your words.”
Those three words transported me to another time, our first time where he held me under a similar trance that I was unprepared for, where my body no longer belonged to me, but to him.
I found my words hidden behind my ribcage. “No.”
“No, what?”
The air became thick.
My body hummed.
“No, I’m not afraid of you.”
“Good.” He wrapped his hand around my neck and his thumb pressed lightly against my jugular, feeling my pulse hammer jacking against the pad of his thumb. “Yes, I can kill a man with my bare hands. When I was younger, I had this rage within me, an anger that made me lash out at any and everyone who looked at me the wrong way. Growing up the way I did, you never knew who would do you harm, so I had my guard up all the time and then I went to juvie.” He nudged my chin with his hand, “look at me.” I gazed at him, the green edges of his hazel eyes softened, “the rage you say you see is not the same rage that had a hold on me then. What you saw was rage controlled, I control it, it doesn’t control me. My psych eval says I’m nonreactive, which is true for the most part. There are situations like the one you saw tonight where I come close to the edge, but I will never step over. Now if someone did something to you or my mama,” he shrugs, “then who knows.” He dropped his hand to his side, “but, these are not the hands of a killer, these are the hands of your Danty, I’m the same man you met when you clumsily fell into my arms.”
I laughed and he laughed as we both remembered that moment, the mood in the air shifted, the energy was still charged but it swung to the opposite direction.
This time I reached for him first, lifting his shirt and pulling the buckle to his belt. “I’m sorry for overreacting.”
His fingers trailed upwards under my dress, pulling my panties down to my ankle, he knelt down on his knees and lifted my leg over his shoulder, tossing my underwear across the room. He kissed my thigh, the warmth filled my apex. “Am I forgiven?”
I nodded. My eyes closed giving in to the sensation of his stubble against my inner thigh, his kisses stopped and my eyes flew open to find him staring up at me, “use your words.”
“Yes, you are forgiven.” I said aloud.
He didn't have to speak his hazel eyes with the green edges became liquid gold, his fingers pushed against my opening and my warmth trickled onto his fingers. I moaned, grabbing his head. He lifted me up onto the edge of our bed, while he remained kneeled on the floor, his hands firmly pinned my wrists to my side, while his head was bowed at my altar.
“Dante, I screamed.
I could feel him smiling and I heard his voice in my head before he spoke.
“Use your words, baby.”
Post note: Dante's character is a fun one to explore. Not guaranteed that I'll write more fics, but this was fun to write....

⋆。°✩Fire Alarm✩°。⋆
⋆Dante Torres x Reader
✩Prompt: "I was trying to do something nice for you"
✩Summary: Dante tries to cook breakfast for reader.
✩Note: This is my first time writing, any feedback is appreciated:)
Tumblr media
The sun was warm where it hit your face. You could hear the neighbour mowing his lawn and assumed that's what woke you. Pulling yourself to the side, you check the clock. 7:32am. Who mows the lawn this early?
As you roll back into bed you realize the other side is empty, probably what actually woke you. Before you have any real time to worry you hear a crash from somewhere in the house, followed by a string of Spanish you didn't quite understand. Judging by the very descriptive English words that followed you assumed they weren't polite.
Getting out of bed, you make your way towards the kitchen. There's a very prominent smell of burnt toast coming down the hallway, and something that might be bacon.
The kitchen really is a sight. There's a bowl of what looks like pancake batter tipped over on the counter, dripping onto the floor, and it looks like the toaster is about to catch on fire. Dante has the kitchen window open and is waving a towel around manically.
"What is going on?" You laughed
Dante turns to face you with a deer in the headlights look. "I'm.. making breakfast"
You laugh again and walk over to the toaster, unplugging it and waving your hand to try and fan the smoke away. "It looks delicious".
Dante hesitated, "My ma usually made breakfast in the morning".
You smile at him as you walk up to where he's still fanning the towel around, pulling it from his hand. "You're adorable".
He grumbles a little before wrapping his arms around you. "I was trying to do something nice for you".
"And that was very sweet of you, but maybe I should make breakfast from now on. My poor toaster might die if you try again" you say while looking up from where you're pulled into his chest.
"That toaster has a grudge against me I swear. That's the second time it burnt the toast" he smiles down at you. You laugh again and lean up to kiss him. He leans down and-

As far as stakeouts go, this one could definitely be worse. A comfortable car with a working AC, parked up next to a decent convenience store - even if there’s absolutely no activity surrounding the target, leaving you to count the rain droplets on the windshield in place of some proper entertainment.
“I don’t like this.” Dante hums under his breath, shifting unnervingly next to you in the passenger’s seat. Tugging at the neck of his jacket, he shakes his head as he looks to you. “Not one bit.”
Knowing his antsy nature is only down to nerves, you’re quick to rebuke him with a grumbled remark as you toy with a loose thread on the sleeve of your sweater. “You don’t like anything.”
That earns you a scoff in reply. You smile, relaxing into the driver’s seat and in your peripheral you can see him begin to do the same.
“Not true.” He states after a moment, with a faint frown on his face. That frown begins to morph into a humored smile as he leans across the center console, and presses a soft kiss to your cheek. “I like you, don’t I?”
A groan of mock disgust leaves your lips and it makes him laugh as you swat him away with a small smile. “Like I could ever forget.”

Arrested?
Halstead! sibling reader x Jay Halstead x Intelligence unit
Requested by anonymous.
Synopsis: You get arrested in a case Intelligence is working. Jay struggled to understand why.
Warnings: Canon typical language, an awkward story set up, unedited and not proofread.
I made more of an effort to make this gender neutral, but there may be a few mistakes so let me know if there are.
Tumblr media
You had been in the precinct a lot and spent almost all your days after school in the break room. But this was different. You had seen the interrogation rooms, but you hadn't ever expected to be in one, handcuffed to the table. The cuffs weren't too uncomfortable, Kevin had put them on loosely so that you could at least have a little comfort.
Jay had explained to you how interrogations worked, how normally two of the unit members would interrogate a suspect while some or all of the others watched behind the mirrors. He said most - if not all - of the time they would get a couple of minutes in and the suspect would demand a lawyer. And in the rare cases they didn't, they were easy to crack anyway.
You wondered if Voight would let Jay watch from the other room, or if Jay would get so angry he would barge into the interrogation room anyway. Sometimes there was no sure way to know what Jay would do. He was more overprotective than Will and Will grew up looking out for both of you.
The door opened and Kevin and Adam walked in. Adam sat opposite you and Kevin went to sit on the bench behind you. When you made eye contact with Adam he nodded, trying to suppress his smile.
"So, Y/N," Kevin leaned forward so he was hovering over your shoulder, "Tell us what happened."
You had to tell yourself not to look at Adam in the eye for too long, or else you would break. You shook your head, shrugging and trying to slouch in the seat as much as the cuffs would allow.
"Come on, Y/N," Adam sighed, "Let's make this easy."
"I don't know what your talking about, okay?"
"You were caught talking to a known banger, who ran when officers approached," Kevin spelled out, "So where did he go?"
"I don't know any bangers," You argued, "Brothers a cop, remember?" You said mockingly.
Adam rolled his eyes, coughing into his fist to hide his chuckle, "Okay, that doesn't change-"
Jay suddenly barged into the room, followed by Voight and Hailey.
"The hell is going on?" He demanded.
All three of you went silent, staring up at Jay with a deer-in-headlights look.
"What are the charges?" Jay continued, turning on Voight.
Voight stepped back, his hands up, "Maybe we should talk about this out here," he tried.
Jay scoffed, but followed Voight anyway.
"Sit tight," Kevin said as he left the room with Adam, he turned as he shut the door shooting you a ghost of a smile.
Voight led Jay out of the hallway, leading him to the bullpen. He walked over to the board - showing him the photos and evidence the team had collected.
Jay stood in front of the board, unmoving, staring at all of the photos and words on the board. Your photo of next to a man he didn't recognize a line connecting them with the word 'friends?' in Kim's handwriting. He turned to Voight, an unspoken question in the air.
Voight grabbed a stack of photos off Torres' desk, he handed them to Jay, "We have reason to believe Y/N knows where this man is."
Jay flipped through the stack, the photos were of you and the man sitting at a coffee shop.
Jay frowned, "I know Y/n's friends, I know where they hang out. I just don't understand-"
"I know this is difficult," Voight said, "But if Y/N knows where he is, they need to tell us. Or this is going to get bad real quick."
Jay ran a hand down his face, "Can I talk to them?"
"I don't know if that's a good idea," Voight argued.
"Please," Jay begged, "I can convince them to talk, explain this entire situation."
"Okay," Voight sighed, "But not here."
Kim entered the room after the longest ten minutes of your life. She didn't say anything as she unlocked the handcuffs, leading you out of the room by your arm. At the end of the hallway, Trudy was standing with her arms crossed over her chest. When you got to her, you could see Hailey and Jay standing by the Bullpen, they looked more concerned than you were expecting. Trudy led the way down the back stairs to the garage, opening the door and letting you and Kim through the door.
Kim let your arm go, stepping away and standing on your left while Trudy stood on your right. You fiddled with your hands, suddenly extremely anxious.
"What are we doing down here?" You asked, watching the rest of the intelligence walk into the room. Everyone gathered around, you and Jay stood facing each other. You were staring at your shoes, unable to look Jay in the eyes.
Jay stepped forward, gently grabbing your shoulders and asking you to look at him.
"Y/N," He said, "Tell me whats going on, please?"
You bit down on your lip to stop yourself from saying anything, trying to gain some self-control while you thought of what to say. You looked back down at your shoes, taking a deep breath before looking back up at your older brother.
"You won't be mad?" You asked.
Jay shook his head, "Of course not."
"Okay," You nodded, inhaling deeply and smiling softly. You made eye contact with your brother, trying not to laugh at his concerned frown, "I got you."
Jay' frown dropped, he looked around at everyone chuckling, "what?"
"You got pranked!" You cheered, grabbing Jay's hands and shaking them in triumph. "I finally got you!"
Jay's face changed from confusion to disbelief, "You got all of them in on it?" He said, shaking his head.
"Yup!" You laughed, "and they were more than willing to help because you are insufferable."
Jay finally laughed, running a hand down his face and grabbing you into a tight hug, "Never ever scare me like that again."
You laughed, hugging him back just as tight, "No promises!"
"How did you even pull this off?" Jay laughed.
Tumblr media
Not many people knew that the Halstead Siblings were some of the most mischievous people. You were well known for coming around Will and Jay's workplaces and causing chaos for your older brothers. Pranking Will was easy, even though he was the eldest and dealt with you and Jay pranking him all the time, he always fell for it. Jay, on the other hand, never fell for pranks. He always said his military training made him impossible to prank. You took that as a challenge, trying to prank him all the time. From hiding in the boot when he was tacking up at the precinct, to roping Trudy into helping you try to trick him.
Nothing had worked, you had even managed to get Adam and Kevin to try and prank him when you were at school. Even they had no luck.
You were at Will's one day after school, he was helping you with science homework seeming he was the only Halstead who understood it. You complained about how your most recent endeavour to prank Jay had failed.
"How am I supposed to prank him when he's not afraid of anything?"
Will laughed, leaning back in his chair, "Well there is one thing that he's afraid of."
You frowned, "What? Because I've tried everything."
"He's afraid of you getting in trouble," Will said, "Or getting hurt, but that would be cruel."
Immediately a grin broke across your face, an idea having formed.
"Oh no," Will shook his head, "I don't want anything to do with this."
You giggled, "Don't worry, I'll leave you out."
Will kept asking what you were planning when he drove you home, but you wouldn't answer. Just telling him that he would enjoy the end result.
The next day, you headed to the precinct after school. Planning to try to talk to the different members of intelligence before Jay caught on. You approached Trudy at the front desk first, if this was to work you would need her approval.
"Hey, Sarg," You grinned, crossing your arms over the desk and leaning your chin on your hands, trying to give her your best 'please help me' look.
Trudy looked over her glasses at you, frowning and putting down the paper in her hands.
"What do you want, Halstead?"
You couldn't hide the mischievous glint in your eyes, knowing Trudy wouldn't be able to resist this idea.
When you finished recounting the idea to her, she laughed.
"Are you sure? Chuckles hasn't fallen for any of your pranks so far," She reminded.
You smiled, "This one has to work."
Trudy chuckled, "Okay then. What do you need from me?'
Trudy set the wheels in motion, having helped you convince Voight that this was the morale booster the team needed. Voight had caved to your pleading puppy eyes quicker than you expected, admitting he wanted to see what Jay would do.
You approached Adam and Kim while they were in the motor pool, sneaking up behind Adam and bumping into him with your shoulder.
"Hey, Kid!" He grinned, throwing his arm over your shoulder and pulling you into a side hug. Kim laughed, shaking her head at Adam.
"So, I have a favour to ask," You said sheepishly.
"What's up?"
"Okay! So, I have this brilliant beyond brilliant idea." You explained the whole idea to the two, watching Adam grow excited and Kim shake her head.
"For this to work," She said, "You'll need Adam not to ruin it by laughing."
You turned to Adam, Pointing a finger at him jokingly, "You better not ruin this!"
Adam laughed, "I'll do my best."
You nodded, "Okay, good."
As you walked away you could hear him mutter to Kim, "God they look like Jay when they do that."
Your next targets were Torres and Atwater, who were more than willing to help for the same reason as the others. They wanted to see Jay get what was coming.
It took you and the unit a week to get ready, Trudy helped you sort out all of the details to truly shock Jay. To make it seem less obvious there was something going on, you would stay in the break room when you came after school, only talking to Trudy by the vending machine downstairs to seem less suspicious to Jay. Hailey had noticed something was up with the way you and the rest of the team would whisper but stop when Jay entered the room.
She came into the breakroom the day before you were planning to prank Jay, "What are you planning?" She asked.
You frowned, looking up from your computer and feigning innocence, "I'm not planning anything?"
Hailey looked at you suspiciously, "Yeah, Okay." She said, narrowing her eyes at you to try to make you crack.
"Hailey," Jay called as he walked up to the door, "We caught a case."
She nodded, following him out the door. She shot one more suspicious look at you, laughing when you shrugged back.
This was starting to get harder and harder to hide. Hiding any big prank was hard enough but from two of the best detectives in Chicago? Almost impossible. But you had come this far and you weren't about to fail in the home stretch.
Tumblr media
There was nothing more satisfying than watching Jay realize he had been pranked. The way he looked at his colleagues and friends around him in disbelief and then at you like you had just commited the betrayal of the century.
It had taken every ounce of self-control you had left not to jump for joy and brag about how you were now officially the better Halstead pranker. As soon as Jay had stopped giving you crap about your elaborate plan, you followed Trudy back to the front desk to get your bag and phone.
You immediately called Will, waiting for it to ring. while you waited Jay came downstairs, throwing an arm over your shoulders and leading you out to the car so you both could go home. When Will finally answered the phone, you put it on speaker.
"Will!" You giggled, "Guess what?"
"What?"
"I got him!" You laughed, bouncing on the balls of your feet, "I'm officially the best Halstead ever!"

Meet The Boyfriend
Summary: Your family meets your boyfriend and his family
Pairing:  OC x Dante Torres
Warning/s: Mentions of officer down?
A/N: I don't know anything about Dante so I made basically everything up. I've not caught up on Chicago PD and it would take me far to long to catch up and I wanted to write it while it was still in my head so hear it is.
Tumblr media
It was just a met each others family thing. Like before a wedding they've got to meet each other except for the fact that we are not getting married and we're only doing this because our families are massive. Dante was the best boyfriend I could ever ask for. I just hope that my brothers can actually see that.
I stood in my bedroom redoing my make up almost like an anxiety thing. My brothers and parents downstairs in the living room and Dante coming with his family and siblings. I had heard my brothers coming in but I hadn't been down to see them yet. I looked over as my bedroom door opened honestly expecting it to be my niece and nephew. I was surprised when I saw my sister in law standing there.
"So I'm coming to get some information without James being about" Donna chuckled standing next to me as I fixed my make up.
"What kind of information do you want?" I asked looking at her
"What's he like? Is he good to you? All that kind of stuff" She answered as there was a car pull up outside the house. I looked out the window thankful I didn't have to answer all of those questions
"Oh is that him? Is it?" She asked looking out the window. I nodded
"Your brothers got you a gift for passing the detective test" My mother explained as I walked into the living room. I sent my brothers a weary look as they passed the brown gift bag between them. I looked at Donna who was smiling. The gift was definitely her idea then that makes me less worried. I walked over
"Yeah. Him, his brothers and mother." I replied and Donna basically ran out of the room. I shook my head with a chuckle as I looked at my Lock Screen. The picture of Dante and I from the day that I passed my detective test.
I walked downstairs once I heard that everyone was already in the house. I had already met Dantes' family when he had a panic that his family wasn't answering their phones. I walked downstairs absolutely terrified of what my brothers were going to say.
"Come on then Sarah" James chuckled as I took the wrapped box out of the bag and started opening it. I opened the box looking between my two brothers and then my two sister in laws. All of them were laughing at the mug they had got me. I shook my head
"Let me guess. James and George decided on it" I chuckled, shaking my head as both of my brothers pointed to each other. I walked through to the kitchen with it
"No making out in the kitchen" George called and I turned around pointing to Dante on the couch before his brother who was in the kitchen helping our mom make tea and coffees.
"What?" He asked frowning
"So Sarah, how did you two meet?" James asked and I sent him a look
"Boyfriend" I started pointing to Dante
"Boyfriends brother" I finished sending him a look as George shut up. I put the mug in the sink before walking out
"Two words. Police officers" I answered, sending him a look as if to say are you dumb. Both Dante and I were on call out today. Both wearing our badges. Dante had his gun on his hip and his radio.
"Well sorry I don't listen to the boring details" He mumbled as I sat next to Dante
"We met while Dante was on patrol. Then he moved up to intelligence. There the boring details" I replied
"Sarah you're looking healthy" Dantes mom smiled
"Thank you" I replied.
"Auntie Sarah can you take us to the park please auntie Sarah" Maya begged looking at me
"Why don't you go get your coat on and Dante can come with us" I nodded. Basically leaving the house so that my brothers can definitely argue about who's going to protect me more. Even though they're both mechanics and I'm the detective. I got up looking at Dante
"Do you have your radio love?" I asked him as he got up
"So how did that go?" Dante asked me
"I do. It's in my coat" He smiled and I nodded, pulling my own coat on with my heeled boots.
Maya and Milo ran over both taking a hand of mine and pulling me out the house. I am the fun auntie mainly because I am the youngest. They pulled me over to the park which was thankfully over the road. Dante followed behind us that goofy smile on his face. The kids let my hands go as we got to the park, the pair of them instantly running over to the slide. Dante wrapped his arms around my waist as I smiled up to him as he leaned down kissing me.
"I don't know to be honest. My brothers are hard to read unless they're happy. Quite funny when they thought that you were your brother" I chuckled seeing his face
"Had to hide how jealous I was" He whispered and I smiled
"You're the only Torres I want" I hummed and he kissed me leaning down. Our moment interrupted by his radio
"10-1 10-1. Officer down. 5021 Henry is down. I repeat 50-21 Henry is down" Dante and I looked at each other before running back over to the house. I ran inside to the living room.
"James look after your kids" I ordered opening my gun safe grabbing my gun and putting it in my holster before grabbing my radio
"50-21 ocean responding plain clothed officer responding " Dante radioed
"50-21 Frank responding. Plain clothed officer" Both of us ran out of the house jumping in my car as Dante had come with his family. I started driving to the address that came up on my screen. Dante put his bullet proof vest on keeping one in my car as we were partners before putting mine on as I drove.
"50-21 ocean and frank on science. Alert all resounding officers plain clothed officers on scene." Dante radioed as we both got out of the car. I ran over to Hailey while Dante ran to help Jay.
"I'm fine. It's the vest" Hailey pushed my hands away
"Upton I'm going to check you out anyway" I replied taking her vest off to make sure it just caught the vest and nothing else

DECEMBER DRABBLE — 2. Angel Reyes 🌨️
Tumblr media
A/N: gif belongs to [user: @pedropcl] now it seems like it’s next to impossible to find decent gifs through the gif search up here especially when it comes to this man. S/o to google this time around! Anyways here I am writing for another angel but the main angel? That I usually write for lol. For once it’s nothing too serious—well kinda…and might actually fit into the drabble category. Let’s pat myself on the back…maybe. I write my AN’s before I actually write the content 😬
S/N: decided to add Dante Torres from Chicago PD into the mix because I have a crush on Benjamin levy Aguilar and loved him in that Netflix series with Veronica mars (she’ll always be Veronica mars sorry y’all lol) and there’s no content on him. He’s only mentioned in this so don’t attack me too much if you read this and I’m new to the Chicago PD series and his character which is why I didn’t write any scenes specifically with him.
Prompt: #24. “Lift me up so I can put the star on the tree.” + #16. “We can’t put this photo in our Christmas card.”
·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ . ·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙

Angel didn’t like what he was seeing when he pulled up to his house that weekend. He didn’t want to jump to conclusions but he recognized the car that passed him by before he parked his bike next to your car in the driveway. He wasn’t late so he didn’t know why someone else was pulling up to his house uninvited.
And he had something to say about it.
“Yo!” Angel called into the house as he dropped his keys into the dish by the front door.
He stepped into the living room to see you swaying in front of the Christmas tree, joint attached to your full lips. Angel almost got distracted by the way your ass filled out those gym pants but he was on a mission. Then he picked up on the music full of Afro-Beats, which meant you were in a good mood and something inside of him provoked him to disrupt that.
Angel licked his bottom lip, getting one last look before he lightly touched your upper back to get your attention. And what did he do that for? You slightly jumped and spun to aim a high kick at your attacker, who you didnt recognize as Angel at the start.
Thankfully he dodged your long leg and called out to you, “whoa! Aye, querida. Relax! It’s just me.”
“Angel?! What are you doing sneaking up on me like that?” You muttered around the joint as you exhaled.
Angel sucked his teeth, “I called out to you as soon as walked in the door.”
“I’m having a jam session right now, you know I don’t hear nothing when I’m dancing.” You wiggled your hips and held out the joint to the man who plucked it from your hands.
He took a hit and deeply exhaled as you carried on, spinning around him while he lightly shook his head.
It was time to get down to business.
“Whatchu do all day? Have anybody over?”
“Mmm nope. Spent the day doing a wash and go, listening to music, and putting the tree up. Now I get to relax.” You told your boyfriend while you continued dancing.
Angel called out to alexa to stop the music, shutting it off much to your annoyance. You held your hands out silently asking what he did that for and awaited a response from the party crasher.
“I saw a car on my way coming in. The same car that pulled up to the club once before…you know anything about that?”
Why would you? Your poked your head out in confusion and rolled your hands, “just spit it out already Angel, you’re getting on my nerves trying to play the accusing game.”
“Are you cheating on me with that egghead oink oink motherfucker? D’Angelo?”
A laugh couldn’t help but to burst out at Angel’s description but the look on his face was anything but humor.
“You mean Dante?” You asked, turning back to the couch in search of the remote.
Tumblr media
Angel waved his hand around, still holding onto your joint, “whatever his name is. Are you sleeping with him?”
“I don’t cheat on people I claim to love. I don’t move like that and you know it so stop insulting me.” A heated stare went his way and Angel felt himself having to take a deep breath.
Of course he knew that. That was his own insecurities and previous actions getting in the way. He knew you were solid and would never, you already warned him if that’s something he did or even thought about when it came to your relationship then it was automatically a wrap. You had such power about you, like it seemed like nothing could hurt you, like you were invincible and it was incredible to watch. Angel didn’t want to be the one to fuck with that, not purposely.
And he really did care for you, which is why he didn’t want to believe that you could cheat on him. However he knew that you could just get up and leave whenever you wanted and that thought alone scared him. He never felt that way more than once before.
You didn’t need him and he knew that. Yet you still showed him love in a way that he wasn’t used to. You were patient but firm, which is why you weren’t raising your voice at his foolish accusations.
“I—I’m sorry but he was here right? I’m not completely bugging, I know that much.”
Plopping down on the edge of the couch you waved the remote around as you briefly thought about it, “…yeah he was. He stopped by for a minute, he didn’t come in out of respect for me.”
Angel huffed, “respect for you? What about me? He don’t pay no bills around here, he should be asking my permission to be anywhere near you.”
Sighing you said, “he doesn’t need your ‘permission’ to be around me. He’s my friend and been my friend since we were teens. Also you don’t know if he was here because of whatever case he’s working on and before you get paranoid it has nothing to do with you or the club. I would let you know that. Do you see me on your dick about the bartenders you used to mess around with? Now no. So stop your bitching and lift me up so I can put the star on the tree.”
Angel took a long drag from the joint at your words. He didn’t know who you thought you were talking to but he liked it.
“Why don’t you call the egghead back over here and he could do the work,” Angel mocked, “you already put the tree up without me.”
“You told me it was fine! Every time we planned to do it during the weekend you got called into the club. I asked you not once but thrice so don’t start, angel.” You scowled, getting to your feet and pulling your gym pants further up your waist.
Sighing Angel leaned over you, placing the joint into the dish to hold for him. He stood in front of you who peered up at him with raised brows. His hands massaged the sides of your neck before trailing up to rest against your cheeks, his hands were always rough but cool thanks to the rings that decorated his fingers.
“Love you lots you know,” he started, making you roll your eyes, “no for real, listen I do. It’s just that im fully aware I got the full package here and I don’t want nobody getting in between that. Especially no fed that your friends with…I dunno what it is with you and my fucken brother being friends with the opps.”
You sent a jab to the man’s abdomen who winced as you said, “don’t talk about franky like that, you know that’s family.”
“Oh shit, I keep forgetting.”
“Yeah, I don’t see why after everything he’s done.”
Angel made a chirping movement with his hand and stepped back before you could fight him some more, “don’t expect me to be friendly with egghead Da Vinci either.”
“I don’t think he wants to be your friend anyways.” You answered, making Angel furrow his brows as he began removing his vest.
He tossed it on the couch as he exasperates, “why? What his ass say? I’ll fuck him up.”
Laughing to yourself you shook your head, not instigating anything further. You knew Dante scooped Angel out because he cared about your well-being and didn’t think the man was good enough for you. It was always like that when you started dating but Dante also knew you would do whatever you felt like doing no matter what someone had to say.
You always had a mind of your own.
Yet Dante Torres was diligent and rebellious and and that didn’t change when it came to you, his best friend.
Dante also knew the boundaries he had to respect out of the sake your relationship but that didn’t mean he had to like Angel Reyes. At the end of the day he had a job to do and when he was ready he could take down the whole club if he really wanted to. However he was leaving to Chicago for a couple of weeks and he just knew something would go down without him even prying.
“And then you’ll be in jail for assaulting a cop and that’s a hard charge to get out of.” You let out a low-whistle, remembering a family member who took that route in his early twenties and just got out at the age of thirty-four last year.
Angel scoffed but said nothing more not wanting to waste anymore breath on some guy that didn’t matter to him. Instead he searched the empty box for the crown that was your star for the tree and held it in between his teeth. While he did that you decided to turn the music back on, just in time for Angel to grip you by the waist to face him. He then pulled you around to be in front of him, you glancing back at him in question as he motioned for you.
“You know what to do, spread ‘em.”
“Ask nicely.”
Angel gave you a look making you laugh as you got into a jumping Jack pose without the jumping. Angel fixed the crown back between his lips before he crouched down in between your legs. Once his neck was in between your legs, he kept a tight grip on your legs before he lifted you up into the air.
“So this is what it’s like being seven feet tall?” You asked as Angel carried you over to the tree.
Reaching downwards you gently took the crown from his mouth and reached upwards. Angel’s hands tightened on your upper thighs as he leaned towards the tree more, eyeing as you slipped the crown right on top of the very decorative tree.
“Tree looks nice as fuck, Querida. How long it take you?” Angel used one hand to touch one the rose gold ribbons you had wrapped in it.
“Thank you, baby.” You beamed, knuckles now pressed into your hips as you admired your work, “I actually started on Friday, getting everything from the basement, mom came over on Saturday then she pissed me off trying to dictate how it should look as if she didn’t decorate her tree and my sister’s tree already. And I just finished today. It’s perfect.”
Angel chuckled to himself. He knew how your mom could be, she was a interior decorator herself so it only made since that she wanted to take over the whole process. Now angel was really kicking himself from missing out on this, you lost your cool whenever it came to your mom despite the love you had for her. Yet your mother is very stubborn and sensitive wrapped into one. He tried to question how your dad handled a woman like her but he knew your dad wasn’t rocking with him like that.
“Ah it is.” Angel began to crouch, making you grip for something as he began to do some squats.
“This what we doing?”
“I missed the entire weekend to work out, let me have this. Count for me?” Angel encouraged while you held on tighter.
The man slowly took working out seriously through persuasion of you. Also working as a phlebotomist encouraged you to take not only your health but others around you seriously. You always found health class and physiology interesting so it was no surprise to your family and friends that you got into this field.
And so you did, getting to fifty before Angel decided to call it quits.
“You did great,” you mentioned as Angel took the time to focus on slowing his breathing.
Once he did, he lowered you down to the ground with a nice slap to your ass of course.
“Thanks for being my weight and letting me in between those thighs.”
“Oh, shut up.” You playfully shoved the man, who laughed yanking you to his slightly sweaty frame to pepper your face with kisses.
Later…Angel sat at the kitchen table, eating the Sunday dinner you prepared while your eyes went over a series of photos on your laptop.
“Angel, what is this?”
Angel stopped chewing the lamb and peered over at you, “what?”
“Why did you move these into the possible Christmas card options?” You spun the laptop around to face the dark haired man who smirked at the image.
Angel continued eating, “What’s wrong with it?”
“Angel…” you exhaled and rested your fingertips against your forehead, “Our reenactment of Janet Jackson’s rolling stone cover and her ex husband with your hands on my breasts and you in a Santa hat is not appropriate to send to my granny or my parents. We can’t put this photo in our Christmas card.”
Angel shrugged his shoulders, “why not, it’s art? It’s Christmas, it’s supposed to be happy.”
“Would you like me sending this to pop?” You quizzed.
Angel pretended to think about it, “he wouldn’t keep it anyways and would probably call me up to yell at me about it. I’d love to see the look on his face though. We look sexy, what’s the problem?”
“These were for our eyes only. For fun.”
“Which is what Christmas is all about.”
“I thought it was about celebrating the birth of Jesus?”
“Fuck if I know, I was raised catholic.”
Your eyes instantly went to Angel’s who met your stare. He laughed to himself, “I know how that sounds, be quiet.”
Grabbing the computer back you shook your head at the unbelievable man. Scrunching up your nose, you lifted your glasses further up the bridge of your nose as you clicked onto the next set of photos.
Angel licked his fingers, finishing off his food before he patted his belly. “Here’s an idea, why don’t you send that one to your old homeboy? Maybe he’ll get the message to stop coming around when I’m not here.”
“I’m not doing that to feed your ego.” You easily responded, eyes trained on your screen.
Angel got up from the table to place his items into the sink. He actually took the time to wash them to place into the rack. Once finished he walked over to you, leaning over to see what other photos you were looking at. You took a good thirty photos together so there had to be something in there that was satisfactory in your eyes.
He didn’t really care to be honest, “Whatever you pick will be cute as shit that your granny will keep pushing for us to give her a great-grand baby.”
Almost gagging you shuddered at the thought. Being pregnant terrified you, sure babies were cute and everything but the whole process of carrying and actually giving birth did not sound like a 10/10. You’ve watched enough horror stories and heard enough horror stories to know that’s not exactly what you wanted right now. Or ever? Of course that could always change but the full discussion of children with Angel made you uneasy.
He already had a son and previously lost a son, which didn’t sit right with you, however it was none of your business. Although, you didn’t exactly enjoy the idea of possibly raising a child with a man that was hardly there…but that was not a conversation that you wanted to have tonight.
If Angel picked up on this, he chose not to say anything about it when you know he could have. Instead he just placed a kiss on your temple, his beard briefly scratching at your skin before he left your side, saying he was off to take a shower and leave you alone with your final decisions.

you’re safe now - dante torres x reader
overview: having been in intelligence longer then the newest and youngest member dante, a relationship started when he joined the unit. when an undercover case goes wrong and you get taken. dante and your team do everything they can do find you. possibly revealing your hidden relationship with dante.
a/n- there’s not much of an age gap here, i did look i can’t find a confirmed age of dante so i’m gonna go with benjamin’s age which is 29 and we’ll just say the reader is like 32.
trigger warning: kidnapping, beatings, drugs, guns, mentions of sa but nothing graphic like at all.
**
“y/l/n, you ready?” voight announced as he walked in the room, you nodded ready to go undercover as jay’s girlfriend, in an undercover buy with a professional cartel. you and jay used your normal undercover names ryan and Sophia
“yeah sarge we’re ready” jay spoke as he smoothed out his suit, you looked down at the long red dress you had on in an attempt to look professional to match jays suit. the whole team watching as adam connected wires to both of your outfits. looking over at dante you could already tell he was uncomfortable with the fact you would be posing as jay’s girlfriend and not his. but he made sense of it seeing that jay was your partner.
“anything goes wrong you know your safe words right?” dante wanted to double check so he’d have a bit more reassurance that you would be safe. you and jay both nodded, confirming the safe word.
“alright we’re ready let’s go”
the next thing you know, you and jay are walking through a private airport security to make the buy. holding jays hand while he had a brief case in the other. undercover work was your strong suit, before you joined intelligence you were undercover for over a year, so naturally voight always chose you first for undercover work.
as you and jay followed a guy further into the airport and walked past were the buy was going to take place you looked up at him an uneasy feeling spreading through your body, he gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. you knew everything would be fine but as you walked out into what seemed to be a runway everything felt off. a lot more men there then what had been planned.
you and jay walked over to the man who was the boss of the cartel, the man you were after, he looked evil, his face alone making a shiver run down your spine as jay introduced himself.
“so you give me 25k today. then i’ll see what i can do with getting you what you want” his voice was deep and strong, as he spoke but that was not the plan. that was not what you had been prepared for.
“that wasn’t the plan. you said 25 for the coke.” you reasoned acting like you were being completely ripped off, you were the plan was down the drain.
“yeah man there’s no way i’m leaving my money with you and not getting what i came for” jay intervened taking a step closer to the man, he said nothing just looked at you again then back at jay. something was wrong.
“you’re very pretty to be a dealer” he said his eyes flickering back to you, you tried to play it cool and take it as a compliment not to blow your cover.
“because i’m not a dealer, i’m the girlfriend of one.” you spoke proudly hoping you and jay weren’t made. you knew this guy was dangerous, there were at least 15 homicides you could link to him yet you just didn’t have enough evidence.
“tut tut” was all he said as he pulled the gun from his pocket then disaster struck, all the men who surrounded you and jay now pouncing at the two of you. you watched as the majority went to jay while you tried fighting off the two men who were trying to pin you down, a hit to your face made your eyes water as you fought them off you caught a glimpse of your partner who was being repeatedly hit, you screamed out the safe word knowing your team would already be on their way as the men final overpowered you throwing you into the back of a van. the last thing you saw was jays unconscious body laying bloodied on the floor before the van doors closed.
your heart was racing as you looked around the back of the van, for something that could potentially help you or get you out, pushing the pain as far back as you could you searched for something anything that could help. hoping your team would pull the van over any second as you reached to the most painful spot on your head to only feel the warm sticky substance matting your hair. anxiety grew in your stomach every second that past without hearing sirens or being pulled over. you should’ve known not to continue when things felt off you should’ve known.
you panicked thinking back to jay, was he okay? was he alive? taking deep breaths you tried keep your composure and making sure your detective mindset was strong. if the team didn’t get you now you knew it would be one hell of a day, but you had faith. faith dante and your team would find you. you knew they would. they had to. dante would find you.
the van wasn’t pulled over you never even heard siren’s and that scared you, yet you tried not to show your fear as you heard shouting and someone talking about cops, your blood ran cold as the doors of the van opened and a guy grabbed onto you pulling you from the van.
despite your protests and attempts to escape the man’s grasp it was no use, another man now holding onto you, your two captors dragged you towards a building. you had a feeling, a feeling in the pit of your stomach. you knew this wasn’t good, they wanted something. you didn’t know what but you knew they’d do whatever to get it.
it has been three hours, three hours since the team had last seen you. intelligence had been working every angle in an attempt to get you back, yet they barely had anything. every team member had words out to their CI’s and dante was driving himself crazy trying to find any information on your whereabouts.
jay had just returned to the bullpen from being checked out at med, he had a concussion but refused to be taken of the case the guilt eating at him, dante trying his best to keep himself composed and not blow up at jay for not being there for you.
“hank there’s a boy downstairs, he’s looking for you specifically” trudy spoke as she entered the bullpen, dante rolled his eyes not caring about anything but getting you back, you were his priority nothing else mattered to him.
“tell him to come back later” was all that left hanks mouth as he began walking back to his office, one of his own was missing, and you’d been on the team for a while. you got on with hank, you’d known him since before you joined intelligence.
“i think it’s about y/n” those words made everyone turn to look at trudy, hank turned around looking at trudy in shock.
“stay up here keep talking to your CI’s, run pods, known associates of our kidnappers” hank ordered before rushing down stairs to see what was so important about the boy.
not even five minutes later adam is putting a cd into his computer, everyone standing around his desk to watch. dante’s heart racing as he wipes his clammy hands on his jeans as he waits for the video to pop up. and when it did his heart dropped.
the video that took up adams computer screen was you, hung by your hands from the ceiling. the dress you’d previously been wearing discarded in the corner as you hung just in your underwear, bruises and burns from a taser littered your torso as your head hung low. the team watched in disbelief as a masked man tasered you again a weak groan coming from your mouth.
the team watched as the masked man walked up to the camera picking it up before walking back over to your hanging body, his arm going around your waist and gripping your hip as he began talking.
“a lovely detective you have here intelligence. she’s strong i’ll give her that, she won’t break. i want all of your CI files, and 50k case that was taken from me. a lone officer unarmed. i’ll call you with the rest of the details” he spoke as his hand roamed over your body making dante feel sick.
“don’t do it.” you spat, you were still there. just weak, the masked man pulled away from you planting a punch to your face and laughing.
“if you don’t. i’ll have my fun with your detective before she ends up fertiliser in some farm in indiana” that was the last thing said before the video ended, dante was in shock. he couldn’t believe what he’d just seen, his anger boiling up he felt as if he was on the verge of exploding.
“i can’t give up my CI’s i have all of mine and i took half of antonio’s” jay said causing dante’s anger to grow.
“you’d rather save your CI’s then y/n?! your partner? she wouldn’t be in this situation if it wasn’t for you” dante exclaimed his worry for you showing greatly. probably giving away the secret you and him had been hiding for months.
“of course not! she’s my partner! but half of my CI’s have wives and kids” jay challenged taking a step closer to dante, voight stepping between the two.
“jay go start making fake files!” voight ordered causing jay to huff and take a step back. considering jays injuries and not wanting to be taken off the case he begrudgingly followed orders walking away.
“what about the money sarge?” kevin asked, wondering how they we’re actually going to pull this off. and get you home safe. dante now looking at the frozen image of you injured on adam computer.
“leave that to me.” was all voight said before his phone began ringing, looking down at the caller id he realised he didn’t recognise it. raising his finger to his lips signalling to everyone to be quiet hank answered the phone, holding it up to his ear.
“hank voight?”
“this is voight who am i speaking to?” hank said putting the phone on speaker and leaning against one of the empty desks in the bullpen.
“that’s not important. did you get the video?”
“i did, i want to speak to her before anything else.” voight reasoned trying to get more proof of life, time was ticking and in cases like this time is of the essence.
“i gave you proof of life. now i want my money and files. i want a lone unarmed officer to meet my men with the files and money at the warehouse on the corner of 34th and 3rd. at 7pm”
“or she winds up fertiliser”
then the phone went dead, bile rising in dante’s throat as he thought of every possible scenario and every way it could go wrong.
“i’ll do it” he volunteered, he had to be the one to save you. he needed to get to you. and you needed him, you really needed him. voight nodded, letting dante be the one to do the trade.
you were still hanging from your hands, pain pulsating through your body. looking down you could see blood covering your torso, you felt so vulnerable and exposed yet the whole time you’d remained calm and kept your composure remembering every detail of your police training and all you’d learnt being undercover. no matter how badly you wanted to cry or scream you didn’t. you wouldn’t let them break you and you wouldn’t tell them any of your CI’s names.
you just tried to remain hopefull that dante and your team would find you. you prayed you would be found and you prayed what you saw before you were kidnapped wasn’t true, jay had to be alive right? he had to be.
it wasn’t long before an unfamiliar man entered the room and took you down from your restraints holding you up and just tied your hands together, you kept your mouth shut as he dragged you to another room where a man was sat at a desk with a box of files infront of him. the man threw you down into a couch causing you to wince in pain.
“bring him through.” you barely had the energy to lift your head from the couch to see who walked through the door upon your captors orders. but catching a glimpse of the classic white t-shirt your eyes shot to the man who just entered. immediate relief flushing over you as you saw your boyfriend dante, a box and bag in his hand.
dante walked to the desk placing them both in front of the man sat there, only he was looking very unimpressed with dante’s delivery. he ordered another man to take the box full of files away.
“check them.” was all he said, you watched the interaction pushing the pain as far back as you could preparing yourself in case you and dante had to fight your way out.
“i held up my part of the deal. your turn. i’m leaving. with her.” dante spoke turning and walking towards you, the man who was previously sat behind a desk now stood, fear still running through your blood you shook your head at dante as if giving him a warning.
“not until i know those files are real” you knew dante wouldn’t have a gun, and with your hands and feet bound together you knew you wouldn’t be too much help if it came to fighting your way out, you’d given up on that idea hours ago even breathing causing pain in your torso.
one of the men now yanking you from the couch, causing you to since you could see the change in dante’s eyes seeing you in even an inch of pain. looking around the room you noticed one of the men reaching for his gun and suddenly your detective brain was back you couldn’t risk dante being shot. in that split second the eye contact you made with him became a signal and you both jumped into action.
your heart pumping as you managed to wedge you elbow full force into the man who was holding yous ribs, he doubled back in pain before attempting to charge at you. the only thing you could think to do was let him charge. he tackled you full force knocking the air from your lungs as he found himself on top of you. wiggling slighting you managed to get you bound legs between you and the man pushing him from your body giving you enough time to slip behind him to choke him out.
desperately looking around the room heart pumping adrenaline through your body you saw dante fighting two guys. your energy was running extremely low all the pain suddenly just felt dull as you fought the urge to pass out as the man dropped unconscious from your grasp. looking back at your boyfriend he’d stabbed one of the men now beating the other.
despite your efforts your energy was drained, barely managing to push yourself to the couch. your body felt numb, everything hurt, exhaustion taking over your body but no way were you going to fall asleep, your head spinning as dante rushed towards you kneeling beside you on the couch.
“y/n you’re safe now okay? you’re okay i got you” he spoke softly, dante held eye contact with you as he tried keeping you awake along with being respectful.
“i’m going to untie you baby, but to do that i have to touch you, is that okay?” you barely managed to nod but he took your answer untying your hands, he wanted to be careful, after the comments in the video dante had a feeling of dread deep in his stomach unsure of what they had done to you.
pulling the jacket from his body he wrapped it around you after he untied you, pulling the jacket tightly round your body he carefully helped you stand up before taking you into his arms and carrying you outside to the team.
a tear falling from your cheek as he carried you from the building, with the adrenaline wearing off all the pain from your injuries doubling in a matter of seconds.
“i got you, it’s going to be okay, you’re going to be okay”

Pairing: Hailey Upton x Single Father! Former FBI profiler! OC! Kristoff "Kris" Aller
Summary: here
Author's note: these are just some ideas I gathered until I can't come up with the first chapter. I hope you like it
First Stake-out
“You know, you can ask me anything” He seemed comfortable in the passenger’s seat, his voice was serene and low. The night was perfectly still, his slow-moving chest and words being the only proof of life in the whole block. Unlike her, he felt easy, and his breathing was silent and light. His gaze was on the streets, focused but unpreoccupied. Hailey, on the other hand, froze for a second, and her breathing stopped when he suddenly spoke. “It’s easier than following me around, you know.”
She quickly turned to him, and their eyes finally met. Her widened look found his cool expression.
“Why did you do it?”
"I'm uncomfortable with this partnership" Hailey admitted with a sharp voice
"This isn't a partnership." He replied almost immediately. "I'm here for a case. Only one. Then you don't get to see me again."
Hailey sustained their shared gaze — she analyzed his features as he grew unsletted before her light blue eyes.
"I don't think you mean that. Any of it." She stated. " It's useless to ask you anything if you're going to answer with lies."
Kris snorted. "Are you serious?"
"Everything about you seems fake." She argued back "So, yes, I'm serious."
"Hmm." His eyes were burnings hers; his annoyance was clear "Why is that?"
"You have a juvenile record, but almost none reports from the police academy. Several promotions, only compliments, even Platt likes you...On paper, you're a perfect cop, but—"
"I turned it all down." His semblance softened; he shook his head slowly as if her suspicions were perfectly reasonable. "Do you wish to know why?"
For a second, Hailey saw his eyes water, and she was ready to say 'yes' — but Kris turned his face away in reflex. "Someone's here." He whispered, now analyzing the empty streets.
They were not alone.
Context
• At first, Hailey didn't like the idea of Kris becoming her new partner; Technically, he wasn't even suppose to know about the case. For some reason, however, Voight trusted Kris — yet, it didn't mean Hailey would trust him
• "C.I Bishop" that's what Ruzek called him. No long after, Hailey figured out why he had this title: during his patrol days, Kris assigned more C.Is and got confessions for many cases. Suspects would talk to him as if he was a priest in the confessional. No wonder he was selected for the first team of the Special Investigations Unit. Few years later, FBI itself selected him and took him to N.Y
• Voight and Platt treated him with respect and warmth; it was unusual to see Trudy being chatty and asking about his daughters nearly every time Kris passed by; Voight would do the same thing, and worse: many times, he would take Kris to his office for some sort of secretive conversation. Hailey could only watch them
• Adam was willing to be his partner; Torres was making up theories Kris very often agreed with; Voight trusted him completely — and it was clear that Kris wasn't excited about getting a desk for himself. But the Sargent teamed him up with Hailey, and the man occupied Jay's former table with discomfort. They both had to admit, it was awkward
Partnership
• There was something off about him, Hailey could tell. No one could possibly be so balanced, light headed and calm as Kris . No true profiler or police officer could be so easy going while watching and analyzing the most horrible scenes she has ever seen. He looked like a pshyco, staring at the crime scenes and victims with a totally blank face. Another odd thing: he didn't come up with any theories on the first days, even though this was his only job
• He looked, sounded, and behaved like a lie, a fraud. And this case was too important for him to mess everything up. Hailey felt she had no other option: she started to investigate him
• It didn't take long until she figured out: his wife suspiciously passed away four years ago; he left FBI for unknown reasons; he has the guardianship of two girls: Amber, 6, his daughter, and Tessa, 14, his niece. She could find nothing about Tessa's mother. He had brilliant ratings and few complaints. On the paper, he was one of the best police officers Hailey has ever known — who suddenly gave up everything to work at a rehab center. He was either an angel or a demon running from his past
• Another problem: he had a juvenile reccord, which required autorization to be accesed. He came to Chicago when he was 17, and got in trouble just a few days after arriving. The only thing Hailey could discover: Voight took care of his case
A bit more about the plot:
"I have a clue." He spoke out of the sudden as soon as the shift began. His eyes shone with an unsettling energy. "A theory, more precisely." He walked over to the board. "The animal-based accelerator, the abandoned factories and now companies. It's evolving, growing like a story-line." The whole unit looked at Kris with confusion. "I looked up the first arsons again. All the buildings once were public places, hospitals, secretariats, stations and so on." They asked how the companies buildings would fit into that, and he went on "They don't aim at the people, but at what the place symbols. At 3 a.m, they go to old community centers, lock whoever is in up, and set fires to it." Silence again. "Mission-oriented type of serial killers. I'm just missing their manifest." "Why you keep saying them?" The team asked. "It's a group. Probably white, young men, trying to make a statement for the whole town to see." Adam, Kim and Kevin glanced at each other, all of them confused and surprised. Voight, Torres and Upton stared straight at Kris. "I made up a list of possible next targets. They might act tomorrow." Then, without questioning, Voight said "So let's get ready."

Fight
Hailey upton x Rome Green-Upton
Summary: while Rome is undercover he get a call from torres telling him his wife was missing dropping everything he leaves and goes back to Chicago to help the team find his wife
Hailey was at her locker, packing her stuff, when her phone started ringing, making Hailey look at her phone with a small smile when she saw Rome's name. Rome and Hailey have been communicating, but sadly, not as much as they wanted to.
"Hey," Hailey said as she answered her phone. She grabbed her bag and walked out of the locker room. "Hey!" Rome said, sounding tired. "You sound tired," Hailey said, causing Rome to chuckle a little. "Yeah, I am, but how is the training going? Is it helping you sleep?" Rome asked, knowing that Hailey had been having trouble since he and Jay left. He felt guilty that not long after Jay left he had to go undercover, which he didn't really have a choice of.
"Not really," Hailey said with a sigh as she reached her truck. "I will be home soon, before you know it," Rome said. "I know," Hailey said. Rome went to say something but was cut off when he heard knocking on his door. "I've got to go," Rome said, sitting up. "Me too; I'll talk to you later tonight," Hailey said. "Night," Rome said, hanging up.
Rome didn't know that after that call, after a few hours, Hailey went missing.
~~~
A day later
Hank walked into the tech room, where the team was sitting. "All right, tell me we've got something we can use." Hank said, stopping behind the chair and looking at the screen. "The footage is too grainy to make out much, except for the stats of our offenders." Trudy told Hank There's no sign of the offenders' vehicle in the footage, and there are too many blind spots on PODs. I mean, I can't follow them." Kim spoke in a stressed tone. "OK, what about him, the victim?" Hank asked and pointed at the screen. Kim zoomed in, saying, "That's not enough, not for facial rec." kevin said
"All right, then her car, cell towers, witnesses, and forensics." Hank said he was walking to the other side. "We've got nothing we can use, boss." Adam said as Dante walked in. "I think I got him. I pulled Upton's cell records," Dante stated as he reached the others. "The last incoming call was from a phone registered to Lee Byers," Dante said, handing everyone Lee's file. "The duration of the call was two minutes, and then minutes later, her phone was off. Multiple priors for drug possession. He was arrested six years ago by Jay Halstead and Rome green. Two days after he got pinched, all three charges were dropped." dante continued
"So Halstead and Green flipped him." Hank said, "Guy's a CI." Hank added, holding the folder up. "Upton must have taken over as his handler; she was meeting him for a tip, and one of them was followed." Trudy said, putting the dots together, "All right, so get his phone dump, grab his CI file, run everyone this guy ever informed on, met, talked to, or ever walked by." Hank said, and the team started to move around. "We got an LKA on this guy?" Hank asked Torres. "He lives with his girlfriend, Jessica Owens, down on Humboldt." Dante answered
"Search her place. Bring her in." Hank said he was making the team, but Dante stopped. "Should we call Rome?" Dante asked, making the team stop and look at Hank. Hank turns around and nods his head.
~~~
Rome had been undercover for months, and he was starting to get tired of it. He missed Hailey and his team, and all he wanted was to be with Hailey. What sucked is that Rome was only 2 hours away, but he was dealing with a really dangerous situation and didn't want to put her or the team in danger, so he kept away.
Of course, they talked when he got to his apartment.
Right now, he was at the bar working to get more information when his phone rang. He saw that it was Dante. "I've got to take this," Rome said, not letting them answer, knowing that if Dante was calling something wrong, Rome would answer the phone. "What's wrong?" Rome asked with a worried tone, "Hailey is missing," Dante said, making Rome freeze for a few seconds. "I'll be there soon," Rome said. "Okay," Dante said, and they hung up.
1 hour later
Rome got to the district, rushed in, and saw Trudy waiting for him. Rome mumbled a hello before rushing upstairs to see the group, minus Hank, who was in his office waiting for Rome to arrive. "We've got anything?" Rome asked as the group turned around and looked at him as Hank walked out of his office. "No," Kim said, sadly shaking her head. Rome closed his eyes and sighed before opening his eyes and looking at Hank. "What happened?" Rome asked. "She went to meet Lee Byers when they were taken," Kevin said, making Rome look at him. "Lee Byers?" Rome asked, and Kevin nodded his head. "We have his girlfriend in interrogation," Dante said. Hank walked to Rome. "Let's go," Hank said, walking toward the interrogation room.
Rome and Hank walk into the room. Rome sets a picture down. "That's your boyfriend right there," he says, sliding the picture towards her. "In case you're wondering why you haven't seen or heard from him,He was abducted last night," Hank said, causing Jessica to look up at Hank.
"Did you know that?" Rome asked, leaning against the wall. "No, I did not know that." Jessica said, slightly shaking her head ."No?" Rome asked. "Then why won't you talk to my “officers?Hmm?" Hank asked, sitting in the chair. “You won't give them access.to your phone, your tech.You won't even answer a basic question.Why not?" Hank asked."Because I don't want to be involved." Jessica said, "You already are," Rome said.
"Involved in what?Do you know why he was taken?" Hank asked "No," Jessica said."Do you know who took him?" Hank asked "No," Jessica said, causing the room to be silent for a second."You're lying to us." Rome said, walking to the table, pulling the chair out, and sitting down."I'm telling the truth," Jessica said. "Then answer my questions." Hank started "What is Lee into?Why would he be followed?beaten, and abducted?" Hank asked Jessica, but she didn't answer.
“OK, let me explain something to you.Lee wasn't killed.He was taken.You know what that means?That means they want something from him. "Our guess?" Rome said. "They are going to hurt him until they get it." Hank started "Now, what is Lee involved in? You want him to be hurt?" Hank asked “I'm not trying to hurt him. I just don't know anything.Look, he's an addict. I got him clean, but this would not be the first time. Then he relapsed,and did something stupid. But that's not on me. I have no idea who would have taken him." Jessica said, causing Rome to glare at her .
~~~
Lee looked at Hailey tiredly. "You know, Rome always talked about you." Lee started, causing Hailey to stop what she was doing. "Yeah, I would ask how the wife was doing, and he'd just have the biggest smile on his face." Lee said with a small chuckle, causing Hailey to smile a little.
Lee stopped talking. "Hey. you still with me?" Hailey asked as she looked over, seeing Lee's eyes closed, "You've got to keep your eyes open." Hailey added that she was trying to break the other support bar but stopped when she heard the guys coming back, making her turn her head to the door.
"That can't have been an hour," Hailey said, moving to sit by Lee. "OK. We're going to do this nice and clean. OK? You got it. You know what to say?" Hailey asked, "Yeah." Lee said as the two men opened the door and walked in.
"Hour's up. Where's my money?" Mark asked, "He's going to take you to it." Hailey said, slightly nodding towards Lee, "I hid it." Lee said, "OK. Where?" Mark asked, "He's going to take you to it." Hailey said, "That's not what I'm asking." Mark said, getting irritated now, "Where is my money?" Mark asked again. "I hid it in a safe place, downtown. I'll take you to it." Lee said it tiredly.
Mark looked at Elijah, causing Elijah to look at him. Mark pointed the ax at Hailey and said, "Grab her." Mark said Elijah walked toward Hailey and said, "No, no, no! He's gonna take you." Hailey shouted as Elijah came closer, "No, no! No, no, no, no, no, no!" Lee shouted, "He's going to take you to it!" Hailey yelled
"No, no, no! She doesn't know where the money is." Lee shouted as Elijah lay hailey on the ground, "No, no, no! Please! We're going to get you the money. We're gonna take you to it." Hailey yelled terrified, "Don't hurt her!" Lee yelled again. "She doesn't know where the money is!" Lee shouted, causing Hailey to look at him for a second before looking back at Elijah. "Please! Please! Look at me!" Lee yelled, trying to get their attention.
Mark walks over to Hailey, looking down at her. "So do you want to keep your right hand or your left?" Mark asked, "Please! Please! Don't hurt her! Look at me! It's my fault! It's my fault!" Lee shouted, "I have friends who have money. We'll get you the money." Hailey said loudly, "Do you want to hear her beg, Lee?" Mark asked slightly, looking at Lee, "I can't help. Please! Please!" Lee begged, "Chop it." Elijah said, "Let's go with the right." Mark said, raising his ax.
"No, no, no, no!" Hailey yelled as she saw the ax come down, but I was stopped when Lee got up and shoved Mark away from Hailey, causing Elijah to tackle him into the wall. Mark pins Hailey to the ground as a gunshot goes off, causing Hailey to look over. Lee slowly slides down the wall with wide eyes.
"What the hell? What were you thinking?" Mark asked as Hailey crawled over to Lee, putting pressure on Lee's wound. "He was going to shoot me!" Elijah yelled at Mark.
"You idiot!" Mark yelled, hitting Elijah's arm. Elijah hit Mark back. "He fell on me! He was going to shoot!" Elijah yelled. "He had one hand!" Mark yelled out as he left the bathroom. Hailey gazes into Lee's eyes and says, "It's OK. It's OK." Hailey said "I'm sorry." Lee said, meeting Hailey's eyes, "It's OK." Hailey reassured, "She spent it." Lee said, "What?" Hailey asked, "It's all gone. The money's all gone." lee said His head falls down as he stops breathing. Hailey stares at him.
How are we going to get our money back now, huh?" Mark asked, looking at Elijah, "You idiot!" Mark said, snatching Elijah's gun from him, "What did you want me to do?" Elijah asked Mark to turn to Hailey. "Get up!" Mark said loudly, "He's dead." Hailey said, taking her hand from his wound, "Yeah, I can see that. Get up," Mark said as Hayley slowly got up.
"I know where your money is." Hailey said, looking at Mark, "No, you don't." Mark said, "He told me. We were trying to both stay alive, so we were going to take you to it." Hailey said, "You're lying to me." Mark said, "I'm not." Hailey said, "Tell me where it is then, or..." Mark paused and looked down at the gun. "I'll shoot you right here, right now." Mark said, "No. You'll shoot me as soon as I tell you." Hailey said, looking at both the guys, "He stole it for his girl. I know where she lives. I'll take you, and you can let me go." Hailey said Mark walks closer to Hayley, towering over her. "How about I just beatt it out of you?" Mark said, "That's worked well so far." Hailey said, looking at Mark with a deadpan look.
~~~
Rome sits on the bench in the locker room, looking at a photo of him and Hailey. Rome blames himself for Hailey getting kidnapped. Maybe if he was still working here, it would have been him, and he was okay with that. He wished it was him instead of Hailey. He was taken out of his thoughts by a soft knock on the locker, causing him to turn around to see Kevin. "Hey man," Kevin said, giving him a nod. "Hey," Rome said softly "you okay?" Kevin asked, although he already knew the answer. "No, but I will be," Rome said as his phone rang, making him look at the contacts, then turning his phone off and putting his phone into his pocket. Rome looked at Kevin.
"It's my handler trying to reach me, but I'm not going to answer until I know Hailey is safe," Rome said. "It's not your fault," Kevin said, leaning against the wall. Rome scoffed at that, not believing him. "That should have been me, not her; Lee is mine, and Jay CI," Rome said, standing up angrily. "If I didn't have to go undercover, I would still be here working in this unit, and Hailey would've been here and okay." Rome yelled, and Kevin knows he is not yelling at him; he is angry and worried, as everyone was. "It's not your fault," Kevin said softly, causing Rome to look at Kevin, but before he could say anything, Dante walked in with Hank behind him. "We've got something One of them popped at a traffic cam two blocks from an abandoned motel. He used to work there.” dante say as all four of them walk down the hallway
“The place is empty?” Hank asked “Set for demo in two weeks. She's gotta be there.” dante said as they walked into the bullpen Kim handed Rome his jacket and they set off.
~~~
The team gets to the motel, all getting out of their cars and jogging towards the motel. Rome, Hank, and Dante stopped at door number six while Kevin ran to another door. "Go!" Hank said into his radio. "Copy," Kim said, causing Adam to kick the door. "Chicago PD!" Hank yelled as he kicked the door open. All three of them stormed in to see no one until they reached the bathroom.
"Body!" Hank yelled, causing Rome to rush in, but let out a relief breath when he saw it was not Hailey Dante rush in. "It's Lee." Dante said when he saw who it was. Hank crouches down, examining everything. "Where the hell is she?" Dante whispered. Rome looked at the body; some caught his eye in the blood. "Home" was written in it. "Home!" Rome said, rushing out of the motel room. "She's taking them home," Hank said, standing up and leaving the bathroom with Dante behind him. "Get a BOLO out of Mark's other vehicle. Let's go!" Hank spoke into his radio as he left the motel room.
~~~’
Rome and Hank were sitting in Hank's car in front of the apartment building. "All right, everybody stay low. We got anything?" Hank asked into his radio "The back is clear," Kevin said, looking around. "All clear on the east end." Adam said "All right, just stay back. Stay hidden We’re going in." Hank reported to the team as he and Rome stepped out of the car, looking around, pulling down their jackets, hiding their guns and badges, and walking over the railing towards the apartment.
~~~
Hailey in a truck has her hand tied up behind her back and tape over her mouth she bends her knees toward her face getting her hand from behind her back to infront of her she takes the tape from her mouth and brings her hand up the metal bar inside of the trunk rubbing the zip ties on it after a few second the snapped apart. Hailey searches the trunk for a way out
~~~
Rome and Hank walk out of the apartment building. "Does anybody have eyes?" Hank asked into the radio, asking the team. "Still nothing. All clear." Adam responded, shaking his head. "Come on, Hailey, where are you?" Rome whispered to himself. Hank looked at Rome, "They should have been here by now." Hank said, as his other radio went off, "5021, you got your ears on?" the dispatcher asked.
Go for 5021," Hank said as Rome looked up. "Be advised of your BOLO hit. " The camera spotted the vehicle westbound on Fullerton at Ashland two minutes ago." dispatched said, "Copy you." Hank said, "That's only six blocks." Rome said he was picking up his speed. "That's only six blocks out, but they're heading the other direction. Let's go!" Hank said to the radio that his team was rushing to catch up with Rome.
~~~
Hailey feels around the trunk. She presses on a carpet panel. She rips away the edge to see inside the car. Hailey pauses, looking around, before looking down at her sweatpants. She pulls the drawstring from them and wraps it around her knuckles. She pushes the trunk access door down, crawling into the backseat.
There's an entrance to a park about five miles up." Eli said, "It's secluded." Mark said as Hailey fully got out from the trunk, wrapping the string around Mark's throat and choking him, causing Mark to let go of the wheel to the string. They drive off the road into a patch of dirt, barely missing a tree. Eli tries to reach Hailey, causing her to kick him. Mark still has his foot on the gas, making the car go faster. "No! No! No! No! No!" Eli yelled, "See the concrete wall, hailey ducks!" as they hit it.
Eli lays halfway out of the car hood covered in blood as Marl passes out laying on the steering wheel. Hailey stirs awake in the back seat; she crawls half of her body from the trunk, sitting up half way, groaning as she looks at the men unconscious. She reaches for the car handle. She struggles a few times before she finally gets it open. She crawls out of the car on her hands and elbows. She groans as she full-on reaches the ground and starts to crawl but is stopped when Mark pulls her back to the car, flipping her over. He gets on top of her, wrapping her hands around her throat. Haley fights, trying to get him off of her. She turns her head to the right and sees a broken piece of Mark's car. She grabs it and stabs it into Mark's throat, blood splattering on her face as he falls off of her. Hailey coughs as she finally breathes. A cop car pulled up. "Chicago PD! Ma'am, are you OK?" A female police officer yelled, "I'm police!" Haley yelled, still lying on the floor, looking up at the sky.
The team gets there to see Hayley on the floor. Rome jumps out of the car before Hank can stop it. "Hailey!" Rome yelled. Rome reaches Hailey, who crouches down gently, grabbing her hand and saying, "Hailey, can you hear me?" "Rome," Hailey said, closing her eyes.
~~~
Hailey was sitting at the edge of the hospital bed as Rome came in with clean clothes for her to change. "Hey," he said, which made Hailey break out of her thoughts and look at him with a small smile. "Are you sure you want to leave?" Rome asked, handing Hayley her clothes. "Definitely," Hailey said as she stood up, grabbing her pants and pulling them up over her gown. "I'm sorry, Hailey," Rome said, causing Hailey to stop grabbing her shirt. She looked at Rome, confused. "For what?" Hailey asked, confused, as Rome walked closer. "For not being here, I wanted to be here. I really did, but I couldn't. I should have been. This wouldn't have happened if I were just here," Rome said. "It's not your fault," Hailey said, pulling Rome into a hug. Rome hugged her back, kissing her shoulder, and they just stood there.
~~~
Rome took Hayley back to the district and said, "I'll be up in a few; I've got to call my handler." Rome said, leaning against his car. Hailey nodded and walked away. Hank walks into the bullpen to see Hailey sitting at her desk. What are you doing? I thought you were staying at the hospital tonight." Hank asked, "Uh, I had Rome bring me back here." Hailey said, "They didn't want to keep you." Hank asked, "They didn't need to. I'm fine. The team was crowding the hospital, and Rome needed to talk to you, so I just came." Haley said, causing Hank to nod, "Where is he?" Hank asked, looking around, "Outside, talking to the handler, but anything on Jessica?" Hailey asked, causing Hank to shake his head.
"Does the doctor say you're allowed to drink?" Hank asked, putting his finger up and showing a little bit. Hailey smiled, causing Hank to smirk and chuckle as he walked to his office.
Hailey and Hank sit and talk. Hailey rests her head on her hand. "The rest of the evidence we got off of Jessica's WhatsApp. She had multiple accounts. And Lee was hooked on one of them. But that's where they planned it. As far as I can tell, the robbery was her idea. She definitely pushed him to steal the cash. Hank explained, causing Hailee to scoff and shake her head. "Is she admitting to it?" Hayley asked.
hank scoffed "No, she lawyered up." Hank said, "But... I mean, we got her." Hank said, nodding his head. "Lee did it for her." Hailey said "Mm." Hank hummed "He wouldn't give her up, not even to me." Haley said, leaning against her seat, as Rome came upstairs with a sigh, rubbing his face. Hank looked over to see Rome. "Hey, want some?" Hank asked, raising his glass up. "Yes, please." As he reaches them, he leans against Adam's desk. Hank poured some for Rome, handing it to him. "He's mad?" Hailey asked, "Oh, he's pissed." Rome said, taking a sip, "When do you go back?" Hank asked, "I don't," Rome said as he drank the rest in one gulp. "What do you mean?" Hailey asked as Rome put the glass down. "They're coming here to Chicago," Rome said, looking at Hailey and then at Hank.
