Yippee concept time

(SATBK) Corrupted (King) Arthur concept I whipped up a few days ago (I just wanted to draw armor, man)

Inspired by this comment ⬆️ on this yt vid

It was pretty late at night so I was stRUGGLING to draw good faces and bodies😭😭 (First time drawing silver, forgive me 😭)

Oh fun lil note the armor design is different because the previous set got damaged and idk I wanted to try drawing a set that seemed more sinister

Also I may or may have not ended up writing 8 1/2 physical pages of story, character relations/relationships and worldbuilding until 4 am🤓

Story Concept: (Subject to change)

Sonic, known as Arthur here, is born into this storybook world. Similarly to the game, he goes on to fight and defeat the corrupt king, replacing the role. He rules happily and peacefully amongst his subjects and peers until one day, he must venture out to battle personally. (Accompanied by Lancelot, who insisted on tagging along in case anything were to go wrong.)

In the battle, Excalibur’s scabbard was coincidentally buried under rubble. In a lucky strike, Arthur became heavily injured, nearly reaching the brink of death. As his final moments approached, Lancelot quickly retrieved the scabbard, and placed it on Arthur. Hoping it would do something, anything.

It may have been luck. It may have been loyalty. But somehow, the scabbard infused it’s cursed energy into Arthur, therefore bringing him back from the edge, yet tainting his mind, and his body.

What saved his life had also rendered the king immortal. Yet with every day, every year that passed, that same energy began to slowly corrupt his mind, leading his actions and thoughts down dark crossroads. Eventually, he had become like the one he first sought to defeat.

Helloo!! If you're still doing the ship chart I have a fun one for you: arthurlot. And you may be thinking "wait, isn't that just sonadow?" but no. I mean the fake King Arthur, the titular black knight himself with Sir Lancelot - which is what I thought arthurlot was before I realised that people are cowards.

In terms of reasoning, well who doesn't love an evil king and a knight loyal to a fault? But genuinely King Arthur has more parallels to mainline Shadow than Lancelot does imo. Created by an older man with a granddaughter for the good of the world, a plan which goes very wrong - sounds familiar! King Arthur becoming corrupted by excalibur's scabbard is also reminiscent of the dark routes in shth05. So someone with a similar character arc to Shadow paired with someone who looks and acts like Shadow without that arc - it just compels me!

In actual Arthurian legends too, Lancelot is the one commonly known as the black knight, so it's an interesting switch to give Arthur that title instead. "The Black Knights" is the closest thing to a ship name I can give them that won't confuse ppl lmao.

Depending on the timeline, the knights of the round table in SatBK would have served Arthur since before he was corrupted. Lancelot was the one to stay the most loyal after that corruption, and isn't that a fun dynamic to explore? You're the king's closest knight, his right hand man, you trust everything he's doing even when your brothers in arms are expressing doubts and you can see the tyranny for yourself. If Sonic hadn't come along, I truly believe Lancelot would have been loyal to his king up until the very end.

Whatever the relationship, it's extremely unbalanced, filled with one sided devotion and no doubt manipulation. And what can I say, I'm a big fan of toxic yaoi!!

(Didn't think I had this much to say but I guess they've been very much on my mind recently afjgjfhfhdg. I filled this sheet out for them too tbh, so I'm curious to see how you do it!)

Honestly I have no idea what the Knight AU thing is that some people in this fandom are obsessed with and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

This is really well written though! But I don't know these versions of the characters at all, so I'll pass.

The Tails Squad find out that they can bring back "Souvenirs" from the games they went to (Basically anything they can hold onto/fit into a bag/some form of storage before going back to their world)

They immediately go to loot games like RaC, several RPG's, and Minecraft

And to think it all started when Sails forgot he was holding some random sword from an open world game they went to.

The Squad would be bringing overpowered artifacts and weapons when they battle someone. Bringing guns to a fist fight.

When they grounded from tech and get bored, they start LARPing with actual magic infused stuff. One of their friends asks to join and gets shocked to the core when those things work and now one of them has a chicken head (yes I'm stealing from TMNT SHHHH!)

"Tails, Tails, where did you find Excalibur? TAILS?!"

"Such a cool gadget."

The two foxes grin at each other. 15 minutes later, the so called gadget is missing and npcs are freaking out

Like mysterious cottages in the woods where you can get magic stuff or whatever, the Squad now has potions. From Minecraft. They craft it and then take it. Menaces. Absolute menaces.

Tails totally did not spike Sonic's chilidogs once with the slowness potion to win a race against him nuh uh no sir.

Something happens in Modern's world and they need a very particular vehicle very quick, no time to build it, need it NOW quick. All the friends freaking out over this and Tails goes, "Don't worry I got this"

He fiddles with Miles Electric and within 5 minutes, a hanger that had stood empty an hour ago opens to reveal the exact vehicle they needed, Boom giving them a casual wave as he drives it.

He stole it from GTA

GUN's systems go haywire with warning of unknown unlicensed unverified spacecrafts and rockets and shuttles and satellites appearing out of nowhere all of a sudden and the entire HQ freaking out when two get launched while giving off separate and opposite but very similar mirror like tragectories.

Team Dark goes to investigate and finds that Classic and OVA got carried away playing Space Flight Simulator

I'm making a Sonic system cause I can do what I want forever and always and I wanna talk about them cause it's not even been a day and I'm already emotionally attached

Most of them are all based on the different power forms Sonic has had through the games but there are moments in the series and other stuff I kinda wanna pull from too

So the ones I def have, again, are all the power forms. Super, Hyper, Dark, Shatter, Darkspine, Excalibur, Werehog, Starfall (Super Sonic 2 form from Frontiers), and Cyber

A part of me also wants to make something that spawned from Forces just cause like there is no doubt in my mind a situation that traumatizing wouldn't split a guy or two. The only problem is that these would be made fully from scratch since there's no special power ups to this game

I also thought about Extra Life from the Fleetway comics as a concept to base an alter around but I'm not fully sold on that idea tbh I have a lot of little thoughts and ideas with these guys and I'm kinda excited to play around with the concepts
