I really wish they did more with Darkley's Boarding School. Like, an evil school? Teaching kids to be evil?? That's so interesting and I wanna know how that even exists in the first place. And it should be way edgier. Like you get fucked up shit in NORMAL schools can you imagine how traumatizing a school full of booby traps and evil teachers would be??? Also in my headcanon Lloyd actually did run away because the whole "I got kicked out for not being evil enough" thing was so stupid. Why would they do that. That makes no sense.

Regrets

Shadow Garmadon watches over little Lloyd in Darkley's. He remembers FMS, Wu and Misako and the reason why he lost them all..

"Quietly."Garmadon was cutting himself, he did not want anyone to see him. In fact, he was a shadow, wasn't he?

But people could still see him and be scared. He didn't want to cause chaos.

Not tonight.

He quickly made his way through the hallways of Darkley's boarding school for bad boys. He was looking for the room where his son was.

"Aha!" He happily exclaimed when he found it. He snuck inside to see his little one sleeping.

"Lloyd." Garmadon cheerfully said and sat next to little Lloyd.

He looked like a little angel, with his tousled blue hair and slightly opened mouth.

Garmadon couldn't remember exactly how much time had passed.

He just knew he had been watching over his son almost all night... He loved doing that. He wished he could do it more often...

"Shhh..." He said when he saw Lloyd starting to squirm. "Just sleep." Saying that, he covered him better with a blanket.

As he watched him like that, he couldn't help but think about his past.

About what he least liked to think about. He looked at his hands and remembered what he used to be. A man...Yes, he was in the form of a man.

Father...

And he had a father...He closed his eyes and tried to remember those moments.

He was mostly angry with his father when he was with them. He was convinced that he favored Wu.

And now he thought the same... But he tried to remember the good times with him.

He could remember, what surprised him the most.

He smiled as he imagined how everything was good before, before the snake bite.

Brother...

He had a brother too.

"Wu." He whispered quietly in his dark room.

They were good to each other, before. Before he rejected him. They were good when they went on missions together...

They were currently not on good terms. His brother had banished him after all!

He made him what he is now, he is to blame for the snake bite...

Garmadon sighed, rubbed Lloyd's head gently so he wouldn't wake up. He couldn't allow himself to get angry, not now.

This was a rare night when he had peace. All because he was next to Lloyd.

Wu was good in the end. It's not his fault their paths diverged...

They had their good and bad moments. Tonight he decided to only remember the good ones.

Wife...

He also had a wife.

"Misako." He smiled when he whispered that name.

He still loved her even after everything that happened to him...

He remembered every detail about her. From the color of her hair to the color of her eyes, from the way she looked to the way she behaved.

How much he was in love and happy when he first saw her.

How much he was in love and happy when they got married, when they had Lloyd...

He could almost feel her next to him in his memories. He heard her laughing and talking to Lloyd.

He could almost feel her gently kissing him...

Then he opened his eyes and everything disappeared.

His father, his brother, his love...

"Everything except this little one." Garmadon smiled and continued to watch Lloyd.

He didn't dare to touch him anymore, he was afraid he might wake up.

How much he loved them all...

-But you didn't love them enough'a voice inside him reminded him. 'Not as much as you loved, as you love power. You sacrificed everything for the golden weapons...'

"Shut up!" Garmadon said a bit too loud. He covered his ears with his hands, but it was in vain.

That voice was inside him.

And it spoke the truth.

For a moment, Garmadon tried to imagine the golden weapons...

Yes, with their help, he could achieve everything he ever wanted. Create Ninjago in his image...Show his father! Show everyone...

All because of the Golden weapons...

It was worth it.

"Who am I kidding?" Garmadon muttered to himself.

He looked at Lloyd. It could have been like this every night. He could tuck him in, read him a story, watch over him until he fell asleep.

Misako would be there with him. Always giving him her hand and comforting him whenever he needed it.

And he would love them endlessly.

And Wu would sometimes visit and they would exchange good childhood stories.

And father would be proud.

That was what he actually wanted.

Garmadon's heart ached at that thought. A heart that didn't know it had any more.

And he gave it all up for the stupid golden weapons...All for power...

The happy images faded away.

As he watched Lloyd, all the good feelings,except for love,disappeared.

There was no more peace, happiness, calm, and good memories.

Only love and regrets were left.

Its been a year Also I read a Fanfiction where Cole is a Doctor HELLO THAT IS SUCH A GOOD CONCEPT AND EVERYTHING EJEBEJ.

Context: Cole Is still the leader of the team Lloyd has a kina -ish childhood he and the darkley kids turned into Vigilantes so when he turned 18 he trained to be the green ninja he isn't the leader so he is a menace COLE CAN EARTHBEND BEING A MASTER OF EARTH CHANGE MY MIND LET THEM BE BAMF-

Lloyd Darkley AU

In this AU, Lloyd was dropped of at Darkley's earlier than canon. Lets say, maybe two-three years younger than what you'd headcanon his initial age. He was too young to attend classes, so they gave him a room and let him wander until he was old enough. He was basically raised by students and teachers, and was taught tricks by the worst of the worst at Darkley’s. Lloyd was never bullied because he's liked by the older students

He doesn't know who the hell Misako or Garmadon are. Lloyd thought he just...spawned into life for a year. The bone sweater is the only thing he remembers from his early years-which he eventually sewed into a jacket.

He goes by the name Lloyd Darkley, and has spent his life carrying that as his name as he sees the school as his home.

(...Lloyd's life takes a turn when he steals stuff from certain people who may or may not be ninjas.)
