One of the lesser discussed ways in which the Revenge is a safe space ship is in how the crew are given the freedom to express their cultural and spiritual practices without judgment or mockery.

Buttons is the prime example of this. Wandering around butt naked basking in the moonglow? OK. The crew are totally accepting of that.

In fact, when Buttons calls the crew out for being disrespectful during the whole 'whip the cup' incident, Ed's immediate reaction is to apologise and to ensure that Buttons has the peace and quiet he needs to do his thing.

Like yes, to the audience, Buttons's butt waving around is objectively funny. But Buttons' spiritual beliefs somehow never feel like the butt of the joke (pun intended). Just one more reason to love Our Flag Means Death

Is anyone else seeing a bunch of posts getting hidden behind those "content labels" for "potentially mature content" even though the posts don't actually contain anything that could remotely be considered "mature content" or is it just me?
