Sorry, what issue is that comic book Miles & Peni scene from?

That was from "Spider-Verse Vol 3 #3" compiled in the "Spider-Verse: Spider-Zero" Trade Paperback, where Miles is getting shot through different worlds to help out random Spiders.

Making this post a twofer: finally decided to just sit down and read the spider-verse marvel infinity comics and yeah

despite the change in style/tone, whether Peni actually has a plug suit or just wears her school uniform while in SP//dr, and whether her classmates talk about knowing her "secret identity" or not: looking at it that way, I guess that makes sense?

I mean, I didn't notice till it got to it, but she noticeably didn't have a red hair-clip until towards the end, which she does have in ATSV but not in ITSV, while comics Peni always had a hairclip of some kind, so having this sort of wrap most of her canon events (hah) together to make it easy to jump into for movie goers makes sense.

The comic mentions taking place after the death of her Aunt, and it continues off of Uncle Ben having doubts about it being good for her to be SP//dr from her last spider-verse appearance (mentioned above): yet it still doesn't mention any specifics or any of the Spider-verse events at all, so I don't know what the idea was here.

To be honest, I think it's as simple as "didn't really think too hard about it" due to either being a small webcomic with not much room to go deeper or just the consequence of being a side character split between polarizing yet popular in their own right appearances and overall inconsistency among them.

What fucks me up, and I know I might as well just be satisfied that she got a role at all (and this event is kind of pushing it as is), is that

SP//Dr is not that big

but they're just a giant* robot here now because reasons

Oh, SP//dr was always a giant robot — the perspective would just change depending on the artist.

I think I just had a different idea of when I say "giant robot", because (and usually it's somewhat consistent) when I think of SP//dr, it's, like, the size of maybe a small building, or around as tall as two people

Like, by standards of "robot" vs "giant robot", it's pretty big, but it's not, like,

XBOX HUGE giant that you can just stand on its head, NOWHERE near the size of Leopardon, or the other giant(er) robots that show up in spiderverse

Granted, this is from the last issue of a very short arc and is being used as a joke about a character that didn't exist coming out of nowhere, but on the scale of giant robot to GIANT robot, it's usually pretty down there, so I'm mostly just nitpicking, it probably is just perspective
