Concept based off Daylight by Maroon 5: David and reader r childhood friends nd high school sweethearts. As time goes by David gains fame nd the reader has to go to college. So David has to go to LA the next day nd the reader to campus, but they spend tht last night together reminiscing abt everything nd crying nd being emotional. “nd when the daylight comes ill have to go, but tonight im gonna hold you so close. Cause in the daylight we’ll be on our own. But tonight i need to hold you so close
David was laying in the sand, his feet buried so deep he hoped that they’d cement there and he could never leave. When YN approached, he turned his head to look at her. “Finally, you showed.”
“Of course I showed,” she said, plopping down next to him. She tried to sound cheerful, but really, she was sad. “You think I’d blow off our last date?”
“Last date?” David sounded offended. As if you truly thought he’d never take you on a date again. “You know I will always take you on dates.”
“Not when you’re in California and I’m in Boston,” she sheepishly remind him. David’s eye went dark as he looked over at the lake. They grew up on this lake. Boat parties with friends they barely knew. Bonfires for the Fourth of July. It was where David kissed her for the first time. A few miles down, where the pier meets the water.
She had only ever seen him as her friend David. Nothing more and certainly nothing less but David always knew there was more. From the time they were pre-teens, making tie dye t-shirts in the backyard, he knew she was the one.
“I’ll buy you tickets to come see me,” he offered. She didn’t know when he got famous. It seemed to happen overnight. One day, he was just David and the next he was David Dobrik and moving to LA and everyone wanted him. He wanted no one but her. “And then I’ll take you on a huge date. One so big and grand, you can’t help but fall back in love with me.”
“You think I’m gonna fall out of love with you?” She asked. Her knees were wrapped in her arms, pulling too tight against her chest like maybe she was going to float away with the waves. David grabbed one of her hands and kissed the back of her palm, almost as if he was saying yes. “I will never fall out of love with you.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
“Even when you’ve made a million friends, better friends, and no longer care for my nonsense jokes and idiotic behavior?” He was baiting her now. Waiting for her to say something wrong but she just shook her head. “Even when you forget my name?”
“I’d never forget you.”
His face would forever be etched in her mind. His laugh would forever be in her ear drums and his fingertips would forever be plastered to her skin. She could never forget him. She could never not love him.
He was the first boy she ever loved and she was certain he would be the last. Who else would know her favorite ice cream and leave a pint outside of her door for when she got home from work? Who else would know exactly what her facial expressions meant when she was reading a book? Who else would love her even when she was at her worst? It was 15 years in the making. Their love. And it had only lasted 15 months.
“You can come to school in California, you know,” he had suggested for the millionth time this month alone. It was too late. Yn had already turned in her payments and made her schedule. Frankly, she barely considered it. She and David decided a while ago that this was going to be your last good night. And in the morning, she’d leave for the airport and never look back. Maybe she’d visit him. Maybe she wouldn’t. Either way, they owed it to each other.
Instead of talking, they sat in the sand and watched the waves crash on the shore. They watched the sun set and the stars come out and when it got too chilly, David gave her his jacket. “Wanna get ice cream?” He asked as she shivered.
“Are you crazy?” She laughed but David nodded and stood up, letting the sand release him. He brought her to her favorite ice cream shop and got her her favorite flavor. Triple scoop. He tried to steal licks off her cone but she kept it away from him, laughing hysterically as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. When she was finished, she pushed it into his nose.
“Not fair!” He exclaimed. “You wasted the ice cream!” Yn laughed and David let the ice cream fall into the trash as he pulled her into his chest and kissed her. The ice cream spread on her face but she didn’t care because she wanted to kiss her boyfriend. She wanted to kiss him until she couldn’t breathe.
They rented bikes and rode around town, weaving in and out of traffic and barely stopping at red lights. He picked her a flower out of someone’s garden and she smelled it, smiling behind their petals so he wouldn’t see. “Remember the first I got you flowers?”
She did remember. He couldn’t figure out what kind she wanted so he ended up getting her a bouquet of all of them. She had flowers all over the house. “After knowing you my whole life, I didn’t know what your favorite flowers were.”
“You know now,” she said. She didn’t care that he didn’t know her favorite flowers. That was the beauty of their relationship. They were never done learning about each other.
She didn’t want to cry. She told herself she would not cry tonight. She didn’t want her last memories to be of them crying and being sad but how could she not cry when he was looking at her that way and the sky had too many stars in them and the grass tickled the back of her legs.
“What are you thinking?” David asked. He was laying on his back, his hands folded on his stomach and he looked over at her. She was too busy counting the stars to know what she was thinking.
“That I never want these stars to turn into clouds.”
“I don’t think it works like that,” he tried to joke. She didn’t laugh. “I get what you mean.”
“Everything is perfect when the sun goes down. Everything is perfect now. We can pretend that I’m not going away and you’re not moving and that we’re gonna be together forever.” She spewed. That’s what she was thinking as she counted the stars. That he was her forever and she was leaving it behind.
“We are gonna be together forever. Just not right now,” he told her. Maybe that was true. Maybe she needed to go off on her own to find out who she really was and he needed to do his own thing and hopefully he was huge and successful, he wouldn’t forget about her. Maybe, they’d end up in the same city again.
“Can we just sit here until the sun comes up?” She asked. David nodded, wrapped his arms around her and that’s when she cried. She cried and cried and he smoothed down her hair and shushed her and she couldn’t tell but he was crying, too. But they did. They sat there until the sun came up.

design ideas - d.d.
plot: you and david disagree on the designs for his next merch collection
word count: 1150
masterlist
“Babe, come take a look at the new designs,” David shouted from the couch, where he had his laptop open to the new merch line and sample products.
You dropped the knife that you had just finished using into the sink and carried your plate of apple slices and peanut butter over to the living room. You set the plate down on the coffee table, eating a slice as you settled into the couch next to David. He wrapped his arm around you and pulled you into him.
“So this is the logo for the new collection,” he said, pointing to multicolored bubble letters spelling out Clickbait. “We’re going to put it as a small logo on t-shirts and a large logo on hoodies, and the words are going to go down the leg on the sweatpants,” he explained as he clicked through the mock up design ideas of pastel colored clothing, phone cases, and phone cases.
As he scrolled through the different pieces, you found yourself unimpressed by the line. It didn’t really feel personal or authentic to him or his brand.
A frown formed on David’s face as he noticed your lack of enthusiasm regarding the designs. “What’s wrong?” he asked, suddenly worried about the new line.
“Nothing. It’s just, I don’t totally love it,” you admitted, shrugging your shoulders and popping another apple slice into your mouth.
He leaned forward and setting his laptop on the coffee table so he could turn and face you. “Why not?”
You took a deep breath, not wanting to hurt his feelings, “It just doesn’t feel like you.”
His eyebrows knit together, confused by what you meant.
“I mean, it’s super trendy and the pieces are cute, but come on David, you’re never going to wear anything from this collection after you take promo shots,” you explained.
David was still puzzled by your reaction, he had expected you to love the line. “Is that a bad thing? If the pieces are trendy then people are going to want to buy them.”
“It seems like a cash grab, Dave,” you shrugged, watching his face fall.
“A lot of work went into this line, babe,” he sighed, not sure about what he was going to do now.
“And I’m not saying that you can’t release it.”
“But you hate it,” he reminded you.
“I don’t hate it,” you groaned, taking a deep breath to gather your thoughts. “I guess I just don’t understand why you’d sell pastel hoodies when you basically live in black. You should design and sell merch that you would wear.”
“You’re right,” he replied. “But that’s all I’ve ever really released for merch and I wanted to try something new,”
“So ease into adding colors to a collection, babe. You can slowly change your brand but it comes across as really inauthentic if you do something just because it’s trendy.”
David nodded, listening to what you were saying. He appreciated how you explained your thoughts from both a business and personal perspective.
 ———
“I think I’m going to head to bed,” David said, getting up from the couch to grab water from the kitchen. You had spent the evening watching David stream and then put on a movie after cooking dinner.
“I’ll be in soon. There’s a few things I need to finish,” you said, tilting your head over the top of the couch as David leaned down to kiss you.
“Don’t stay up too late. I love you,” he whispered, kissing you again.
“I won’t, I promise. I love you, too. Good night babe,” you smiled.
You waited until David was back in his room to pull your iPad and apple pencil out of your purse. David’s laptop was still on the coffee table and decided to send yourself the rough sketches of his new merch. You had interned for a fashion designer when you were in college studying graphic design and advertising, and you wanted to come up with some way to redesign it that felt more authentic to David’s personality without completely changing the entire line. You opened Procreate and imported the logo. You didn’t care if he didn’t love your ideas, but you wanted to remind him of what he used to release.
You played around with different color palettes, trying to see what worked and what didn’t with the merch he had previously released. After a few attempts, you decided that the outline of the letters should be multicolored and the clothing pieces should only be sold in neutrals: black, light grey, and white. The line was still fun and appealing to the masses, but it was more grounded than his original design he had shown you.
You found the process both exhilarating and entertaining and you spent some time creating new logo designs and color palettes for future merch drops, although you didn’t seem to care if he didn’t want to release anything you created.
A few hours later, as you were putting the finishing touches on your ideas, you heard David’s bedroom door open and he shuffled across the hardwood floor until you were in his line of sight.
“I thought you said you coming to bed soon,” Dave pouted, his eyes half open as he sleepily rubbed them.
You glanced down at the time and realized it was nearly 3am. “I’m sorry, I must’ve lost track of time.”
“What are you working on?” he asked, sitting next to you on the couch and reaching for your iPad.
“Just a couple of designs ideas,” you said, before reluctantly handing it over and warning him that you still needed to tweak a few things.
You nervously chewed on your bottom lip as he scrolled through your art, your eyes flickering between the screen and his face. “You obviously don’t have to release anything I came up, but I had a few ideas on how to rebrand yourself, if that’s something you’re interested in.”
“My girl is insanely talented,” David grinned, leaning over and kissing your neck.
“Tell me more,” you insisted.
“She’s also insanely hot,” he whispered, his hot breath against your neck sent shivers down your spine. “And I think she should work for me,” he added, pulling you on to his lap.
“Oh really?” you giggled, wrapping your hands around the back of his neck and kissing him. His hands gripped your hips and he pulled you into him.
“I’m serious,” David said, ruining the moment. You pulled away from him, not sure what to say. “You’re talented, babe. And your designs are good. I want to release them and I want you to help with future designs,” he explained.
“David,” you sighed. “I appreciate the offer and I’m more than happy to help when you need me, but I just want to be your girlfriend, not your designer.”
“Are you sure? I pay really well.”
“I thought you said you don’t mix business with pleasure,” you teased, kissing his jawline.

Could you do one where, as we know David’s mom is super worried about him and thinks he doesn’t take care of himself, and then you come into the picture and get super close with his mom. And you gonout of your way to take care of him and David notices his mom calling you and gets all flugfy
Hey love! Hope you like this!! 💕💕💕
“Sweetheart, you need to start eating more vegetables! You can’t live on chicken nuggets and pizza!” Y/n scolded as she finished washing a lettuce plant.
“But baby.... I ate a salad like two days ago” He pouted.
“Dave, no... just try it, you’ll like it I promise.” She laughed, shaking her head.
He sat across from her watching her work her magic. He loved how she hummed as she cooked, it made him feel peaceful and she looked beautiful as the sunlight streaming in from the windows illuminated her features softly.
“Here, try this.” She said, feeding him the salad. He did as he was told, slowly chewing ready to say he didn’t like it but he ended up really enjoying the taste.
“Oh my god! It’s amazing! What is in this?” David asked.
“Well, it has lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese” She smiled watching him reach for the salad bowl.
...
“David! You can’t do science experiments in the house anymore! You are going to burn the place down!! It’s insane” Y/n complained shaking her head as she scrubbed the floors trying to get the dark marks to vanish.
“Babe, I’m sorry. I didn’t know it would catch fire!” David said, looking guilty and scratching at the back of his neck.
Suddenly her phone started ringing. “It’s your mom” Y/n gave him a look before picking up. “Hi Christina! How are you doing?... Yes, I know. I’m trying to get the stains off our floor as we speak... I’ve told him.... I know, he is so reckless... okay, I’ll let him know... I’ll talk to you later. Don’t worry, he won’t be doing that again.”
David looked at her cautiously.
“She said that if you ever do that again I should take away your COD controller but I can think of a more suitable punishment that I won’t be discussing with your mother and still it will be far more painful than not playing COD.”
“Baby” He laughed, knowing what she meant.
“David, I’m serious! One more experiment in the house and I will do my own experiment to see just how blue your...”
“Stop, stop... I give up! I promise! No more science experiments!” David conceded”
...
“Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you!!!” David yelled on his stream. Suddenly he heard the familiar clacking of Y/n’s heels against the floor approaching his door. “Shit” He muttered just as his door opened.
“David Julien Dobrik, you need to keep your voice down right now! We’re going to get a noise complaint from the neighbors! And you need to call your mom and apologize, I was on the phone with her when you decided to have a temper tantrum.”
“I’m sorry, babe. I’ll keep my voice down” He replied with a pout.
“I’m serious about your mom. She’ll be waiting for your call.” She said before leaving the room.
When David looked back at his screen every comment was a version of “simp”
“Oh, fuck you guys. She is scary.” David laughed before getting back into the game.

squishing their cheeks. I got a lot of requests for this one!!
I did take this to a different approach though!
It was something david has always done and you honestly loved it so much.
He’d be leaving to go film something at jonahs house telling you a quick bye and squishing your cheeks together to give you a big kiss.
Even when you guys are fighting or you are mad at him. He hated when you guys would be fighting so when you guys got into a argument before bed he did it again but before the sweet kiss he’d tell you “hey, I’m sorry okay? I love you so much and it won’t happen again” all while squishing your cheeks together ready to be kissed by your sweet boyfriend.
After you had just sucked his dick.... he’d love squishing your cheeks together seeing your mouth full of his cum and he love kissing you after too.
Or even just to make you laugh, squishing them together making you make the most adorable face ever kissing all over your face but your lips to make you giggle. He’d end it with a kiss to your lips telling you how much he loves you.

Panic Attack (David Dobrik)
Summary: David brings you to a party and you have a panic attack and he is surprisingly very good at helping you focus on him and calm down.
Tumblr media
“I can’t breathe. I can’t-”
“Just breathe... You’re okay, I promise, just breathe.”
Your POV:
You don’t go to parties. It wasn’t your thing. Usually when it came to David’s events or any type of party that related to your friend group you either told them you weren’t feeling up to it or go for about an hour then get the hell out of there. Parties always caused you so much discomfort and so much anxiety. And usually you could escape before a panic attack started. So the vlog squad just sort of stopped inviting you to things.
When it came to dinner with your friends you were always invited, but I think they picked up on the fact that you weren’t really a party kind of girl. And they accepted that fact. Well almost everyone. David didn’t accept it. In fact, every time he threw a party or knew of a party going on he immediately texted you and asked if you would accompany him. You knew he just wanted to get some bits for the vlog and see what would do if you were intoxicated but you never agreed to any of his invitations.
But this time you couldn’t deny the invitation as much as your mind was screaming at you to deny the offer, the look on David’s face was just too hard to say no to. You knew he was getting defeated at the fact you never went to one of his “wild” events. And maybe this time your anxiety would be okay considering you knew David and you knew MOST of his friends. Not all of them but enough that if you did so happen to panic you could stick to someone’s side.
You were so wrong.
David’s house was filled with so many unfamiliar faces. The music making the floor vibrate, people intoxicated with alcohol screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs, stumbling around bumping into you as you tried to find a less crowded area. David was somewhere amongst the crowd getting footage for his vlogs while Zane and Heath were the life of the party getting drunk off their asses. You tried to focus on one specific person but everything was starting to blur over.
The music faded as you started to hyper focus on your breathing. You could feel your heart beating in your chest as so many people bumped into you as you felt the room closing in on you. You searched everywhere for an escape from the living room but there were too many people around. Too many people screaming and dancing, drinks sloshing on to the floor.
You knew what was coming, you put two fingers against the side of your neck to check your pulse. It was racing. Your throat was all of sudden desert dry. You put a hand on the wall to steady yourself as the floor started to spin. Your breathing started to pick up as you felt your eyes gloss over with tears.
“(Y/N)?” You heard a voice. You couldn’t tell who it was. You just stared straigh ahead of you as you tried to focus on your pulse. But that only seemed to freak you out more. “(Y/N), it’s David. What’s happening right now?”
You turned your head to the side to see David standing there, he reached out towards you and put his hand on your arm. You looked around at the crowd then back at David.
“I’m, I, um, am having-” You stopped to take a short breath. “I think I’m having a panic attack.” He nodded and immediately pulled you into his side, snaking an arm around your waist as he pushed his way through the crowd. And considering this was his house, everyone parted like the red sea. He led you guys through a door and from what you could tell you were in his bedroom. He led you to his bed and sat you down as he crouched down in front of you.
“Do you need water?” He asked. You shook your head as you stared at his shoes. “I need you to look at me.”
Your eyes flickered to his.
“Tell me where we are right now,” He said.
“Your house, in your room,” you muttered. His hands were on your thighs.
“Very good, you’re okay. You are in a spacious area right now. The music is just a faded sound, you’re with me. One of your friends. A familiar face. Just take a deep breath. Can you do that for me?” He asked, his voice had a soothing quality to it. You shook my head no.
“I can’t breathe. I can’t-” you said as you started shaking your head as a few tears started to fall. David sat down next to me and pulled you against him, your head resting upon his chest as he stroked your hair.
“Hey, hey, hey, you’re okay. I’m right here. Just breathe...You’re okay, I promise, just breathe,” He whispered against your hair as he slowly rocked us both back and forth.
You guys stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity but your breathing slowed down and the tears no longer fell. The room was still and everything wasn’t so loud anymore. You slowly pulled away from David and took another deep breath. you sat there for a moment not really knowing what to say.
You looked over at him. “Sorry about that.”
“Hey, no need to apologize. I used to get panic attacks all time. I may not be the best at helping but I understand how you feel. I’ll always be here for you (Y/N),” David said as he placed a kiss on your temple.
You were so glad to have a friend like David Dobrik.

david finger fucking uuuu
Listen when David is in the mood he absolutely adores taking care of you first.
Watching as you mewl at his touch, body stretching away from him only for David to grab at your hip and pull you back.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He smirks, two fingers still plunged deep inside of you while his thumb rubs intently at your clit. His other hand is pressing deeply into your side, digits leaving prints on your supple skin.
“Dave..f-fuck.” You’re breathless, the electricity pulsing from your pussy into the pit of your stomach becoming overwhelming. And you can’t see it because your eyes are locked shut in pleasure but David’s bulging in his sweatpants, beads of precum dripping from his tip and dampening his boxers.
It wasn’t until he heard you moan for the first time, saw you writhe on pleasure, experience what your body looked like when you were lost in ecstasy that he realized he could find such total bliss in another person’s gratification.

When In New York City (Part 2)
Pairing: David Dobrik x reader
Song: All These Years - Camila Cabello
Summary: They meet randomly after a couple of years and decide to get a cup of coffee.
A/N There will be a part 3. I couldn’t fit everything into part 2.
PART 1
Tumblr media
A couple of months pass before you see David again. You get the occasional text from him but overall you don’t stay in contact. You’ve almost given up that you’ll see him again when your phone lights up.
“David is asking if he can come next weekend,” you say looking over at Melissa.
“Did he break up with his girlfriend?” she asks suddenly focused on the ground. You know what she’s thinking.
“I don’t know. But it would only be as friends. He’d find a hotel room.” You tell yourself that this means nothing. He’s always been a big fan of Manhattan and this was just him showing an interest in that.
“Okay, now say it like you actually believe it,” Melissa jokes but you know she’s right. You’re already putting way more into this visit than you should. He’s in a loving relationship and you need to respect that. So when Friday rolls around, you’ve managed to put your feelings into a little box hidden away in your mind. You and David are meeting as friends and nothing more.
“You should’ve gone for the blue dress,” Melissa notes looking at your jeans and shirt.
“It’s not a date,” you remind her before grabbing your purse.
“Keep telling yourself that,” she laughs before walking away with coffee for one of the tables. It’s quiet for a Friday evening but even New York has to sleep at some point so you’re not that worried about business.
“I have to get going. You’ll be okay?” you ask Melissa when she returns.
“Go have fun, boss.” And with those words you hurry out the door to meet him at the corner of 68th and Columbus. The subway is packed with people just trying to get home after a long day at work. This is normally your least favourite time to take the subway because it’s the most likely time for people to get into arguments. Everyone is tired and on edge. The constant state of New Yorkers.
“Hi,” you smile when you see him already standing there with two cups of coffee.
“You went for a coffee?” you ask surprised. David’s never been a fan of coffee.
“I asked them to put a hot chocolate in their coffee cup,” he admits sheepishly making you laugh. Something’s never change.
“Cheater,” you laugh leading the way to Central Park. It’s beautiful this time of year with the lights and everything. One might say romantic even, but you quickly shut down that kind of thinking.
“Penny for your thoughts,” you say to distract from your own thoughts.
“Just thinking how glad I am that I could come. I had to get away from LA,” he replies looking at a couple wrapped up in each other on the bench.
“I didn’t think you’d ever need to get away from LA.” Ever since you met David, he’s been talking about LA like it was the only place to exist. When he got his first apartment in LA, he’d cried out of pure happiness for an hour straight. He loved LA like other people love their dog.
“I think I just needed to get away from one person in LA, if I’m being honest.” This sparks your interest. And foolishly your heart starts to hope that he might feel what you feel. But your brain knows that you’re getting way ahead of yourself.
“Do you want to talk about it?” you ask focusing on his hands holding the coffee cup rather than his eyes.
“I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable, I kn-” he starts but you cut him off.
“We were friends long before anything else, Dobrik. Tell me your troubles.” A catch phrase the two of you used whenever the other needed to vent. So he does tell you. He tells you how his work has been driving him crazy lately with deadlines and fans waiting for his next video. How he’s had trouble juggling everything and that’s put too much pressure on his relationship.
“You probably don’t want to hear about that part,” he says suddenly and when you look into his eyes, you know he’s thinking of whispered promises between the two of you. The promises broken in the light of day a long time ago.
“We broke up a long time ago, it’s fine.” A lie you tell him as much as you tell yourself. But it’s all he needs to go on. How he doesn’t know how to find time for her and she doesn’t understand it which he gets because she shouldn’t have to understand it. Everything seems to fall apart around him and he’s just trying to hold on to the pieces.
“You know, when I came to New York. I thought I’d never find happiness. I was working two other jobs while trying to get the business up and running. I was living with roommates that I didn’t even know. I’d just lost you. I thought life would never be good again and that I’d made a huge mistake.” You stop to take a breath allowing yourself to think back at how miserable that time in your life had been.
“But I pushed myself and when I felt like giving up, I pushed a little harder. Somewhere along the way I started to find balance. I quit one of the jobs, I got my own place,” you look over at him to find him staring at you already, “what I’m saying is just that it gets better. And I’m really sorry that it’s hard right now, but I know you can do it.”
“You always had such faith in me,” he says. The two of you has stopped walking altogether and instead just stand and face each other. He looks beautiful as his features are illuminated by the lights. His hair is a little shorter than last time. The circles under his eyes have turned darker though and you catch yourself wondering if he gets enough sleep.
“I still do. The whole reason for you staying in LA was because I knew you were meant for great things.” It’s a mistake to bring up the past because it makes your heart ache for him in a way it hasn’t for a long time. And with him standing so close now, you can hardly keep it together.
“I wish you’d stayed.” It comes out a whisper, almost like he’s scared to say it.
“Don’t say stuff like that,” you dismiss him not daring to let your mind imagine a present with you and David still together in LA. Is he leaning in? You can’t tell if you’re just hoping he’ll lean in or if he actually is.
“Why not?” He’s definitely leaning in. And you want to say that no matter how things are between him and his girlfriend, he still has a girlfriend at home. But his cologne is overwhelming making you lose focus on what matters. Your heart is beating hard in your chest. It’s been too long since David’s been this close to you. Mere inches from your lips and there’s nothing left in the world except you and David. His warm breath giving you chills down his back. At one point your hands has found each other and intertwined. There was something you had to remember. But then you can feel his lips meet yours and the world implodes. All the clichés come to life; stars, fireworks, you see it all.
“I’m sorry,” he says breaking up the kiss. He looks down at his ringing phone almost in shock.
“Who is it?” you ask even though you already know the answer. And you feel horrible about yourself.
“It’s my girlfriend.”

pillow talks - d.d.
plot: late night conversations with your boyfriend about your relationship and your future
word count:  1000
masterlist
this is something different from what i typically write, but i wanted to write a fluff piece. this is a series of short blurbs, each is separated by —, rather than one cohesive story, although it follows the same relationship
“What are you thinking about?” you whispered, nudging your boyfriend softly. David rolled over so he was facing you.
“Honestly?” he asked, and you nodded, curious what was running through his mind at the moment. “I’m thinking that I love you,” he smiled, reaching over and tucking a strand of hair behind your hair. "And that you're the best part of me."
You could feel your cheeks turn pink and a smile cross your lips. "David, stop it," you said, playfully pushing on his chest as you buried your head into the pillow.
"I'm serious,” he insisted, running his fingers down your back. “You’re my best friend and you bring out the best in me, you always have.” His voice was just above a whisper but you could tell he meant everything what he saying.
“I love you,” you smiled, leaning in and kissing him softly. “I’m in love with you,” you giggled as you ran your fingers through his hair, thinking about how lucky you were.
You had started dating David only a few months ago but you knew he was the one for you. There was something about him that was different from all the other guys you had dated and you never wanted to lose him. You were happier than you had ever been and it was all thanks to him.
“For what it’s worth, I can’t imagine my life without you. I’m so glad I get to be the one you’re in love with,” you confessed.
You curled up into him, the flicker of a candle on your nightstand illuminating his face. You rested your head on his shoulder and placed a hand on his chest. He wrapped his arm around you and pulled you closer to him, kissing the top of your head.
“Move in with me,” he whispered.
“What?” you asked, his words catching you off guard.
“You should move in with me,” he repeated.
“You’re serious?” You questioned, looking up at him. He nodded, wanting you to know that he meant what he was saying.
“I’ve been thinking about buying a new place and you hardly spend the night alone at your apartment. Besides, your lease is almost over and we’ve been together for a while,” he rambled, listing all the reasons he had for you guys to live together.
You sighed. “David, that’s a huge step.”
“And I think we’re ready,” he insisted, kissing the top of your head again. “Will you at least come look at houses with me?”
His hand softly ran up and down your arm as you thought about his proposition.
“Of course,” you promised, tilting your head up for him to kiss you.
“Where do you see us in five years?” you asked, your head resting on David’s chest. You had imagined your future so many times, and every time you pictured David by your side. Each version of your future included him, and he had made it clear to you that he wanted you in his.
“Obviously married,” he said. “With a kid or two already, and another one on the way,” he chuckled.
“Really?” you questioned, propping yourself up to look at him.
He nodded and you smiled softly at the thought of having a family, especially with David. He had always been great with your nephew and it made him so much more attractive.
“You’re going to be a great dad,” you said, playing with the rings on his hand. “I can’t wait us to have our own family.”
“I want a little girl, just like you,” he insisted. “I want her to have your eyes and I want her to have your smile and your laugh.”
“I want to be making pancakes for our kids on a Saturday morning while they watch cartoons in bed with you,” you confessed, smiling to yourself as you thought about this future.
You both could see it so clearly: married with twin boys and a little girl, living in Los Angeles while David worked full time and you stayed home and raised the kids.
 —
“Tell me about your dream wedding,” David said, both of you face to face as you laid in bed, your white duvet keeping your warm.
You smiled, thinking about all the times you had stayed awake at night scrolling through Pinterest trying to plan an imaginary wedding and how after you met David, all those plans changed. You absentmindedly played with your engagement ring as you let your mind wander.
“I want a big wedding, with all of our friends and family around to celebrate. I want the ceremony to be outside, overlooking a gorgeous ocean view, like the cliffs in Malibu. And I want it during golden hour so the light just our pictures turn out perfectly,” you paused for a second, seeing a smile on David’s face as he pictured the venue. “I want all of my bridesmaids in a really pale blue that almost looks white. And a stunning white dress that makes me feel like a princess.”
“You always look like a princess,” David whispered and you felt yourself blush at the compliment.
“I’d want a huge party for the reception,” you continued. “Incredible food and an open bar. I’d want disposable cameras so everyone could capture the wedding from their perspective.”
“That sounds like a pretty great wedding,” David chuckled, reaching over and tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
“But if we got married at the courthouse, it would still be my dream wedding.”
“What do you mean?” David asked, giving you a puzzled look.
“I’d be marrying you,” you smiled. “It doesn’t matter where or how it happens. I just want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you.”
You and David both leaned forward until your foreheads were touching. “I love you,” David whispered, giving you a soft kiss.

could you do one where the squad surprises her at work without david and they show up to her and david on a lunch date in her office? i feel that would be so cute! absolutely adore your writing!!
I might have twisted your idea a bit here but I just had to... I hope you still like it😉😉😉
“Hey what is up you guys?” Jason said talking to the camera on the dashboard of his car. “As you may see we have quite the gang here with me. We of course have Natalie, Jeff, Zane and Joe all here with me for a very special surprise. So since Y/n started dating David our lives have been pure joy, he is in a better mood, he doesn’t push everyone to go out till 3 am and we actually got dinners back didn’t we guys?” Everyone in the car cheered in agreeance. “So today we are going over to Y/n’s office and we are going to surprise her with a bunch of gifts and then we are going to take her out to a nice lunch.” Natalie clapped her hands excitedly as Jason mentioned lunch and then they started driving.
A few minutes later they were parked outside Y/n’s office building. Jason opened the trunk so they could get the gifts out.
“Wow, you really went all out for this one, didn’t you Jay?” Jeff asked surprised at all the different bags from Y/n’s favorite brands, from Sephora to Chanel there were like five or six different bags.
“Listen, I have never slept better in my life and David hasn’t called me a fat fuck in weeks, she deserves it.” Jason explained.
“That’s right baby, you tell him” Zane said making the group laugh.
“Alright, Nat you know how to get to her office right?” Jase asked, closing the trunk.
“Yup, it’s this way”
They all followed Nat till they were in front of an office door with Y/n’s name on it.
“This is her assistant’s desk, she must be out to lunch” Nat said pointing towards the empty desk.
“Should we just go in?” Jeff asked.
“What if she is having an important meeting?” Nat asked shaking her head.
“Let’s go in. I’m sure it will be fine. We’ll just open the door and look inside if there is no one else in there and she is not on the phone we’ll say surprise if not we leave without making a sound.” Jase decided.
Jason turned the knob silently, and opened the door to a very unexpected scene. Turns out Y/n was not alone, she was seated on her desk, her skirt hiked up covering only the essentials and her legs were spread out making room for David who stood between them. They were kissing and giggling against each other’s lips. His hands were on her thighs, pulling her closer (if there was even such a thing) and the top buttons of her blouse were undone.
“Oh my god!!” Jason exclaimed closing his eyes shut.
Y/n let out a small shriek as she noticed they weren’t alone and extended her arm to keep David from moving and fully exposing her. The whole group stood there with looks that varied from shock to amusement. She scrambled to button up her blouse and make herself presentable before pushing David of her and standing up.
“Sorry, I’m really really sorry. I... you all... what are you doing here? We... I wasn’t expecting...” Y/n tried to articulate, her face beet red with embarrassment. David was just standing there making his best effort not to laugh. Y/n shot him a cold glare but it just made him burst into laughter followed by everyone else in the room.
“I’m really sorry guys. We were just coming to surprise Y/n and take her to lunch.” Jason explained raising one of the bags he was holding.
“Aww that’s so sweet! I’m sorry we ruined it” Y/n exclaimed.
“Actually, I’m still recording” Jason said earning a deathly glare from David.
“Wait, hold up. Dave weren’t you supposed to be at a very important, top secret meeting? You’ve had it o your calendar for like a week!” Natalie exclaimed.
“I was! You just crashed it” He joked, making Y/n blush and everyone laugh.

---
“Holy shit. This is a shit ton of food” David chuckles as he moves toward the table where Josh has begun setting out the different dishes that he had picked up. Josh had arrived only ten minutes ago. David was just ending a conference call about an upcoming show when he strolled in with the numerous, brown paper bags from Chick-Fil-A.
“I just couldn’t hold myself back. This video will be legendary” People have been begging for this particular video since Josh’s first upload and the time was just right. Everything had fallen into place with the announcement of the couple’s engagement.
“It smells ready good,” He glances at the different boxes as he settles on one of the stools. “Did you get any drinks?”.
“I did. I got us milkshakes and a soda. You know — just in case” Josh shrugs as he throws the bag on the floor beside the table. “Now— where is your queen?” David chuckles as he looks down at his phone.
“She should be about to —” Her sudden appearance interrupts his words. They watch Y/N make an entrance from the viewfinder. She takes her sunglasses off her head, tosses them in the purse, and plops her purse on the bench by the entrance of the house.
“Hi, guys! I am sorry I am late” She bends down to slip out of her high heels.
“There she is! Please look at her! How do you manage to look so majestic every day?” Josh compliments her, turning his head to get a full view of her attire. She wears a white suit, with an oversized jacket and a grey spaghetti strap crop top under. At a simple glance, she doesn’t look like the fiance of famous Youtuber star — David Dobrik. She looks sharp, professional, elegant. The type of woman that only dates billionaires and travels to Paris on the weekends just to shop.
As David gawks at Y/N through the viewfinder, he thanks the universe for putting her on his path. After three years, she still manages to knock the air out of him with a simple look. He even gets butterflies in his stomach to this day and he hopes it never changes.
“It’s my job” Y/N works in the high fashion industry, rubbing elbows with fashion icons like Olivier Rousteing, Virgil Abloh, Donatella, and many more. “Do I have time to change?” She wraps her arms around Josh and gives him a warm squeeze.
“Why? You look great!” Josh argues as he hugs her back while facing the camera.
“White suits and greasy food don’t mix”  Y/N explains as she bends over and kisses David’s cheek. “Hi, babe” David clasps her hands as they slip down his shoulders and onto his upper chest. He turns around on his chair to face her, wanting to get a good look of her.
“How was your day?” He asks after he has pulled her down to a quick kiss. His thumbs gently stroke the front of her hands. His fingers run across the oval diamond-cut engagement ring that he has given her recently. A smile grows on his face as memories from that night swamp his mind.
“Busy. Let me go change. I won’t take long” She reassures the boys before ripping herself away from David and running back to change into a comfier outfit.
“How does it feel to be engaged?” David and Y/N had announced it to the public only a few days ago. Their social media platforms had exploded with speculation, opinions, and excitement. People had already started making assumptions about the date and the location of the wedding.
“It’s nice. It’s exciting. Well, you know” Josh nods as he remembers when he had just popped the question to Paige. Before Josh can add anything else to the conversation, Y/N quietly walks back into the living room, wearing a sweater that David can recognize as his and some biker shorts.
“The future Mrs. Dobrik, guys” Y/N’s cheeks flush as she jokingly bows and Josh claps loudly. She takes the vacant seat between the two men.
“Chick- Fil- A” She gasps at the sight of the mouth-watering food. “Great choice, Josh” Y/N says so, gently patting his shoulder.
“A little birdy told me it is your favorite” Josh winks at David as he starts opening the little boxes. “Now—I have a bunch of questions for you two while we eat this meal”
“Okay,” David nods as he doesn’t waste any time in digging in.
“You guys met back in high school right? Tell us about that” Y/N is in the middle of dipping her first nugget into a sauce whilst David has already taken three bites out his sandwich. “Y/N, I got you a vanilla milkshake”
“Thank you” She beams, reaching out for the cup.
“Y/N hated me in high school” David blurts seconds later.
“Babe!” She gasps, playfully slapping his chest. “That is not true and you know that!” David laughs lightly, his hand casually slipping under the table, giving her thigh a gentle squeeze.
“We met during our junior year of high school. Natalie introduced her to us” Y/N spent her days studying and taking part in extracurricular activities that mattered. Meanwhile, David spent his time fooling around with his friends.
“Oh, so Natalie was sort of your matchmaker?”
“Yeah. She wouldn’t have spoken to me otherwise” Y/N pouts at David, “and I don’t mean it in a bad way” He rectifies, “She was just really focused on her school work. She was way more mature than I was. Although I had a huge crush on her”
“That’s sweet” Y/N pecks his cheek making his face flareup. “We grew close, up until senior year when I went off to college”
“I moved here and we sadly drifted apart”  David even asked Y/N to move to California with him, and for a second she had considered it. That was until her parents found out about her plans and threaten to stop talking to her if she didn’t attend college.
“At least everything worked out at the end. David, when did you know that Y/N was the one?” David wipes the corners of his mouth, finishing to chew down his food, taking the time to answer.
“This is going to sound corny, but for me, it was when we ran into reach other after so long” David had traveled to New York for work and had run into Y/N. She had just started working and was fresh out of college.
“That makes sense. It was kind of a meant to be sorta thing” David nods along as he steals Y/N’s milkshake. “How about you Y/N?” Josh settles down his phone on the table after scrolling through his last Youtube video where people had asked questions for them.
“We had started calling and texting each other almost every day.  I got sick while I was in New York. I just felt like there was something seriously wrong with my health and I had no one around. I called him that night and told him I was considering going to the hospital. He took the next flight out and took care of me” She would never forget the feeling of relief and instant comfort he brought her the moment he turned up on her doorstep. She ended up having pneumonia and was confined to her apartment for almost three weeks. Having David around made it much more bearable.
“Why haven’t we heard this story before?” Josh questions, he had known about them casually running into one another in New York, but never about this. “it’s so romantic” he giggles.
“I don’t know” Y/N smiles. She can only guess why David hasn’t told the boys. It made him seem like a big softy. “I am so full” Y/N pats her tummy as her shorts had started feeling tighter.
“Amateur,” Josh says to the camera with a smile.
“ She is tiny. What do you expect?” David jokes earning a playful shove from Y/N. “She can barely reach the top cabinets with her heels on”  He always finds it incredibly cute when he catches her standing on her tiptoes with her arms fully extended over her head.
“You are very short Y/N” Josh laughs along with David.
“I know! You don’t have to point it out!” She pouts, reaching out for a water bottle. David drapes his arm around her waist from behind, kissing her shoulder to hide the goofy smile that she has managed to put on his face.
“What is something that David does that bothers you, Y/N?” David smirks at her as he waits for her response.
“I hate he won’t let me buy him clothes or style him” He throws his head back as he laughs heavily. ”he is already so handsome think about how good he would look?”
“I knew you were going to say that!” Y/N giggles, shaking her head at her fiance and his stubbornness.
“Why don’t you? Don’t you think our beautiful queen knows enough about fashion?” Josh frowns, teasing his close friend.
“It’s not that! I just don’t know if I can pull it off!” David loves how she always looks impeccable and out of a runway, but he isn’t confident enough to dress any differently. Comfort is also another thing he values in his wardrobe and most of the attires don’t look like you can nap with them on.
“David, what about you?”
“The AC” The couple exhales loudly, rolling their eyes at others causing Josh to laugh. “She is always turning the temperature lower. It feels like the north pole in here”
“That’s what is for, babe! To COOL the house” Y/N turns to look at Josh, “Sometimes is hotter in here than outside. I am not kidding”
“I believe you” Josh nods knowing from experience that David hates feeling slightly cold.
“Why are you always taking her side?” David points out as the three of them laugh at the way the conversation is going.
The teasing continues until both men are stuffed with food and Josh finishes asking all essential questions. Josh says his goodbyes, hugs each, and congratulates them one more time before departing.
--
It’s late at night when David strides into their bedroom after finishing some work with Natalie. The lights of their bedroom are off, she is tucked in bed with the comforter up to her chin. Y/N wears her glasses as she holds her iPhone close while typing an outgoing email to her assistant— reminding her to pick up a birthday gift for a photographer friend.
“I’ll never get tired of seeing that ring on your finger,” He remarks cheekily, closing the door behind him. She smiles, looking up from her screen to get a good glimpse of him.
“Good because I am never taking it off” His indecisive ass had taken five months to pick the ring. He had taken Natalie, Erin, Corina, Suzy, Carly, his mom, and sisters, on multiple occasions to look for rings. They were starting to grow tired when he finally found the perfect one.
“Good because you are mine” He jumps in bed, in search of a good cuddle. His arms wrap around her pulling her towards his side of the bed.
“I can’t wait” She mumbles as she nuzzles her face into his chest.
“Me neither” They had decided to wait for a little while before tying the knot. They want to take their time and properly plan their wedding. Y/N already has so many ideas including the design of her wedding dress. “Are you excited to start planning it?” David tugs his other arm behind his head.
“I am. We have to plan what you will wear too”
“Black suit. No doubt” He immediately answers without any hesitation.
“Thought so” She rolls her eyes, imagining how handsome he would look in an all-black suit.

this was a request but for some reason i can’t find it in my inbox🥺 so here it is if you see it angel!! some angsty jealous Dave for ya✨💓
Tumblr media
R U Mine? // David Dobrik
The jealousy is irrational, as David keeps reminding himself, the thought further echoed by Natalie’s scolding in his ear.
‘Stop looking at them like that before you freak her out.’ But he can’t help it. You’re his, or, not really. He’s fully aware you’re your own person, not even his girlfriend yet to further add to his dilemma.
But you kissed him only last night, tipsy and giggling as he dropped you off home last from a simple hang out in his backyard.
Your arms flying around his shoulders first in a comfortable hug that his body always eases into if it’s a hold you offer.
He expected you to simply pull away and walk inside but your face only got closer, eyes shining with mirth and lips pulled into an intoxicating smile that made his heartbeat almost as hard as your follow up actions of teasingly grazing his lips as if to ask for permission.
Which Dave gives you by reciprocating the kiss with dizzying speed.
It was good, so good, he remembers, eyes glazed over while he continues to stare in your direction where you’re still talking to that guy by the bar.
You know, the one you used to casually date when you first came around to the group, lips always pulled in a smile when you’d stare down at your phone before it all went to shit and David spent days consoling you while you took up his offer to stay at his for a while.
That was last year, an entire week spent sharing his bed when you protested his sleeping on the couch, sharing tubs of your favourite ice cream and uncovering things you previously didn’t know about each other.
The friendship grew stronger from that, each one of you inevitably gravitating towards the other in every setting: party, his home, your apartment, each adventure and trip somehow always spent side by side.
And you haven’t dated anyone since. The thought used to comfort him in the internal battle of eventually gathering enough courage to ask you out.
Now though, he can’t help but worry it’s simply because you’re still stuck on this guy.
Your shared kiss only the result of tipsy affection that sent his mind spiralling with hopes of finally taking you on a date.
David stews on in this thought process, bitterness spiking a wave of underlying anger and jealousy that’s tipped over when you stroll back to the table.
All smiles and ease as you inform your friends, ‘Here are the drinks! Sorry it took so long guys the queue was insane and you won’t believe who I ran into, remember Ryan?’
Your casual excitement dimmed when the usually happy brunet stands up and storms away, almost tipping over the tray in your hand in his rush.
Everyone is quiet following David’s dramatic exit. You look so lost, feel that way too, carefully putting the tray down as Natalie offers you an apologetic smile and others either laugh awkwardly or reach for their selected drinks to busy themselves.
‘I’ll..go and check on him’ you offer. David is stood outside the bar, back leaning against the cement and brows drawn together in flushed anger. You just think he looks fucking adorable like that.
‘Wanna talk about it?’ he ignores you at first, left arm growing warmer when you lean beside him, facing the street instead of analysing his face in the light.
The bitterness slips out, ‘Shouldn’t you be catching up with your friend inside? I’m he’s looking for you right now.’ You humm in reply.
Fuck that guy, David thinks. ‘Strong words for someone who used to like him’ apparently not, since you’re facing him now, eyes playful and lips pulled up in a teasing smile that makes him realise he must’ve said that out loud.
‘He’s here with his girlfriend.’ you finally clear up. It’s embarrassing how fast his shoulders drop some of their previous tension at this revelation.
You take a step closer, ‘Not that it matters, either way, I kind of already have my eyes on someone else’ his breath shallow at the increasing proximity of your face leaning up on the heels of your shoes, much closer to his height than usual.
‘Thought I was being obvious about it...after last night’ you add. David gathers his nerves, confidence growing with his hands finding their home on your waist, grip tight and fingers fumbling to pull you closer.
‘I might need a reminder’ it’s cheeky in the way that makes you giggle like a schoolgirl in reply before you’re finally kissing him again, hard and intentional in an attempt to finally get it through his head that its him that you like, a lot.
Has been him for a long time, maybe even since that time he approached you while you stood awkwardly by yourself at some random LA party, friends ditching you in favour of grinding against strangers when this cute boy invited you to watch his friends make fools of themselves while he records and continued to make you laugh the rest of the night.

tugging on the bottom of someone’s shirt
You guys had been at this party for at least two hours. Most of the night you stayed by davids side casually sipping on your water that is until corinna and Mariah pulled you to dance with them.
Parties wasn’t your thing at all so it was a big adjustment when you started dating david. So the dancing thing was just awkward. You stood in the middle of them awkwardly watching them basically grind and throw it back on you. You knew you looked so stupid but to david you were the cutest thing.
He knew how shy you were and he hated bringing you to big parties like the one you guys were at now but you insisted on going with him. You didn’t like the party part but just being around him was enough to convince you.
After the awkward dance you found yourself standing next to david. Your eyes searched the room looking for a bathroom but couldn’t find one at all so you looked up at your boyfriend and tugged on the bottom of his shirt to get his attention and he leaned his ear down to you so he could hear you over the loud music.
“Dave I have to pee” you said into his ear. He nodded grabbing your hand lightly and guided you to the bathroom.
You did your business and washed your hands looking at yourself in the mirror. “Why’d you let me come here looking like this?” He chuckled and shook his head at you.
“What do you mean?! You look good as fuck babe” you rolled your eyes and go on your tippy toes giving his lips a sweet kiss.
“Thank you, you look good as fuck too”

Could you write a blurb about running into your much older ex boyfriend (maybe famous) with dave and him feeling jealous and petty? maybe he gees super quiet/weird with him there and you have to talk him down from jealous rage afterwards.
Tumblr media
It was supposed to just be a simple outing together. Some lunch at a nice restaurant—away from the house, away from editing, where the two of you could get some fresh air, good food and a view that was a laptop or phone screen. But as you were finishing up dessert that instantly changed.
“I told you you’d like it here.” You gush, waving you finger across the table at David who was busy scraping at the last morsels of the chocolate dessert that the two of you split earlier. He could only respond with a snort and a show of his middle finger.
Rolling your eyes you grabbed at your clutch, “Okay well while you finish absorbing those crumbs through your skin I’m gonna settle the check.”
“Aht aht.” Before you could even pull out the cash to pay David (with a mouthful) was shaking his head and pulling out his wallet from his back pocket, sorting through it to find his card. Despite being well off due to your own career of acting for the past however many years David never allowed you to pay for anything. It led to lots of silly fights and arguments to the point in which you would have to sneakily find your own ways to pay, but, nevertheless, you found it endearing.
He stood from his seat and winked in your direction before darting his way through the array of tables to the front desk. Huffing a sigh you beamed brightly at him you went to close your purse but mistakenly over guessed the distance from it and your hand, knocking it over onto the ground.
“Dammit—“
Stretching down to grasp at it you were apparently beaten to the punch as another hand latched its way around the strap.
Brows furrowing together your eyes followed from the fingers of indistinctive hand all the way up its arm to the owner’s face. A face you knew all too well.
“Tom?”
Standing before you in all of his glory was your superstar ex Tom Holland of 3 and a half years—whom you hadn’t seen in 2.
The relationship was orchestrated by both of your managements after the two of you starred as love interests in an A24 film. And although it started off as a publicity stunt feelings truly did begin to blossom between the two of you—leading to said 3 and a half years when the original contact stated a year.
But as time crept forward things just slowly started to fall apart between the two of you. Between the extreme distance and opposite schedules it led to misplaced anger, which grew into unnecessary gaslighting Tom and resentment from you. The split was messy and blown even moreso out of proportion than you expected when certain details from your relationship got leaked by Tom’s team to the press and all in all, cutting off all contact from him was quite literally the least you could do.
You met David shortly after at an awards show and had instantly hit off. You were obviously hesitant to fall for anyone after your whole charade with Tom and made David extremely aware of that, so you simply started off as friends. But his crush on you from the beginning was apparent and the closer the two of you grew the easier you too fell for him. And the rest was history.
But now here you all awkwardly were.
“Hi love,” his tone and the use of the pet name urged chills all up and down your arms—the collection of them only growing more fervent as your eye line connected with his own. He had a smirk to his lips and a glint to his eyes. “Thought that was you, saw you from across the room and had to come make sure.”
The way he laughed so casually like you had been friends forever, or like he hadn’t smashed your heart and peace of mind one shard at a time twisted your stomach. You were worried that your big lunch wouldn’t stay down for much longer.
“Well..it’s me.” You simpered back hesitantly, “What..what are you doing in LA?”
Tom shuffled closer to you, his free hand now resting on the table top—blocking your view to the rest of the restaurant, only being able to see him.
“Oh I’m here filming a new movie for Netflix.”
He continued to drawn on but you could only catch so much. You were way more focused on trying to find David through what you could see over Tom, silently praying he was on his way back already.
“But enough about me,” Your eyes flickered back to Tom who was now sitting across from you in David’s seat, arms crossed over his chest looking all too comfortable, “How are you? Or I guess I should say, how are you and that YouTuber boyfriend of yours?”
If it weren’t for how inexplicably uncomfortable you were right now you probably would’ve cracked a smile at how the word ‘Youtuber’ rolled off his tongue with so much disdain. You could see it in the way his lips coiled and his nose scrunched—he was bothered, jealous even.
“We’re doing great.”
Both Tom and yourself whipped your heads to the side at the new voice, finding David stood at the end of the table. The red in his cheeks was apparent just like the darkening to his browns. Again—if the circumstances were once again different you’d probably be turned on right now.
He was staring Tom down with a look you hadn’t truly seen before; David was always, or at least more than not, collected. It truly took a lot to piss him off to the point in which he had to be physically defensive but if anyone could do it it was definitely your ex.
Before the conversation could even continue David had gently taken your hand, bringing you out of your seat and to his side.
“Thanks for asking.” His tone was clearly acidic, along with the daggers he was currently shooting at Tom who seemed to shrink a bit into the seat he had so graciously occupied. Tom’s face with filled with a series of emotions that you couldn’t exactly place but did’t care enough to anyway.
You were more concerned on how tense David’s frame was. His touch on you was gentle per usual but the rest of his body was flaring in red and flexed. Unconsciously you drew your free hand to back of his neck, drawing circles at the base of it with the tips of your fingers. He soften slightly.
Reaching down David wrapped his hand around your clutch, quite literally ripping it from Tom’s hold with a smile as bright as the one Tom himself appeared with prior to.
“Have a great evening man, don’t forget to try the chocolate mousse!” He cheered before spinning the both of you around and heading towards the exit.
“I fuck hate that guy.”
David was seething as the two of you stepped out the building. His face was a blistering red and shoulders shook with pent of adrenaline, whole body still just as tense as before if not more. Fists clenching in and out of his palms he staggered forward towards the car mumbling a slew of insults and other thoughts about Tom that were nothing close to pretty.
“Fucking smug British piece of shit, did you see the way he looked at you? The way he looked at me?! I could’ve just picked him up by his damn collar and thrown him god. And he was so fucking cocky, y’know what—I’d be a better damn Spiderman than him that’s for sure—"
Instinctively your hand found its way to one of his and clasped around it easily, knowingly. The gesture stopped him in his tracks, now glancing down in your direction and all over your figure.
A wisp of a smile crossed over your lips before you brought his balled fist to your mouth, pressing a kiss to his tired knuckles.
You noticed how much tension left his body the moment he could feel your skin on yours—an expression so simple to onlookers but so so sweet to him.
“Thank you.” The words trickled out at the volume of a whisper, only for him to hear, staring at him with adoration. His face softened before you, eyebrows falling and the wrinkled skin around his nose fading.
“For what?”
A giggle found its way out of the back of your throat before you shook your head and pulled him close, arms wrapping around his frame. He followed suit with his own arms, curling them round your shoulders to bring you into him.
“Nothing…everything.”
David’s eyes molded into all aglow, looking at you like you put the damn stars in the skies. But then again when didn’t he?
Pressing a chaste kiss to your lips he pulled back with a settled grin, shifting you so his arm was over your shoulder and your’s stayed tucked around his torso before you both carried off down the street once again.
“I’d totally be a better Spider-Man than him though.”
“Of course you would babe."
