It is so annoying how Shinichi/Conan is making all the decisions in the relationship, and many see it as a romantic thing that he's "protecting her" and he "doesn't want to worry her."

That is literally why she is being treated like a token girlfriend.

Later: Just a reminder that every time that Ran suspects the truth, and he does an elaborate trick to make her think otherwise, that is called gaslighting. Gosho is having him do an emotional abuse tactic. And no! Being a teenager does not excuse that behavior, because teenage girls should not be treated that way.

Thinking about how Heiji was literally the reason Shinichi was able to come back in his body the first time they met. He was literally the key to a way for an antidote, without even intending to. Also, just thinking how every time he uses the antidote, apart from the London arc, Heiji is present in one way or another. Even the only movie in which we saw him come back a teenager, it was for Heiji

Not only do I want to see Ran temporarily break up with Shinichi for not telling her the truth, but I want to see her give full shade to adult Haibara/Miyano for thinking she can make decisions about her and Shinichi's relationship.

But we'll never see it because it hasn't even occurred to the author that Shinichi should be feeling resentment towards Miyano not only for that time she pulled a gun on him, but if I was him, I would suspect that she wasn't really working on a permanent antidote.

Something I adore about hakukai is the ‘gentleman’ dynamic. Toichi is portrayed as an upstanding gentleman, something he tried to teach Kaito to be for the short amount of time he was a father. But Kaito became more of a trickster than a gentleman, only really switching the two once he dons the Kid persona. On the other hand Hakuba is a gentleman first and foremost who could absolutely benefit from loosening up a bit and I just think that’s neat

The way Gosho has been destroying Heiji as a character is truly appalling to me. It's something that, as someone who has him as one of their favorite characters, I've been noticing and fearing for a long time now. Long time... Because the whole debacle with the confession has been happening for years and years (I'm not going to look up how many because that would be too depressing). But my god. It was funny when he failed the first couple times. I don't think I need to say what everyone thinks about it by this point right? We all agree that it's trash... Right? And another problem now are the excuses.

There were plenty of interruptions. Okay. Then Heiji forgot once. He just- forgot??? Somehow??? And you're telling me that NOW. In the latest file he ALMOST FORGOT AGAIN??? Shinichi HAD to remind him about it because he was totally going to forget AGAIN. He said it himself, that he almost forgot. WOOPSIE.

I'm sorry what. It makes no sense. The confession has been Heiji's sole purpose in the manga for years now. He's only been thinking about that all this time, it doesn't make sense that he ends up forgetting about it, not only once but almost twice???

And you know this time is not going to work either. We've got the perfect formula for yet another fail. The big surprise now would be if it truly ended up happening.

I hope that by the time the spoilers come out this week I can come back to this post and say that I was wrong. But yeah ... I don't think that's gonna happen.

Heiji Hattori deserves so much better. Kazuha deserves so much better. I'm honestly speechless 😶

You know those fics where the Kaito KID taskforce are so unbelievably fond of their thief and vice versa? The ones where it's not quite the taskforce letting him get away but more like "Yea, KID dropped this other, more dangerous criminal on our lap so surely this is much more important than catching him right? Also, I dont want him dead."

I love those (and if anyone have any pls send them my way) but I need a fic where it somehow came out that the KID they're chasing is the son of the previous KID (extra points for them realizing old!KID abandoned new!KID as a child) and now they gotta pick where their loyalties lie.

(AKA Kuroba Toichi bashing on his KID persona via the taskforce)
