4. favorite dish specific for your country?

Hrum hrumm. I actually went to some “Latvian cuisine“ lists to see what is there besides the traditional black peas with meat that is a rather heavy meal and I do believe that I love cranberry pudding/mousse (debesmanna=sky semolina, because it is so fluffy and cloud-like and floats atop a bowl of milk) the most. Or potato pancakes with smoked meat bits, tho I’m not sure how specific to Latvia that is.

10. most enjoyable swear word in your native language?

Heh, this one’s a bit tough bc many Latvians use Russian swearwords if they really want to swear, but I’d either say nice and mythic ones like “kāda joda pēc?“ that is my personal fave and is really nice to say, a variation upon “kāda velna pēc?“ that just uses a bit more specific mythological character (it translates to “because of which devil?” but means basically “why the fuck would [i do that, that happen, etc]”).

Or one that actually carries some weight for me (and that I don’t dislike using as much as other Latvian swears) would be variations upon “dirsa” which is, unsurprisingly “ass“ (which also appears in my two fave sayings from my late grandmother - tu izskaties kā izrdirsts krizdolis (you look like a shat out gooseberry) and vīrs tāds, ka dirsā var mietus lauzt (such a man that he can break sticks/posts in his ass).

Milda placed two servings of debesmanna on the small table. “I’m not sure if you would like it, but it’s Cranberry Mousse.” It’s quite rare for her to do such gesture for strangers... But Milda isn’t exactly stingy with her kindness. It’s been a few hours since they stayed in the room, so maybe the Bavarian would be hungry. Luckily there’s a small kitchen to make coffee or whatever.

What better way for a demon to spend his semi-retirement than as the pet snake of a particularly fascinating young wizard? With Aziraphale posing as Ron's new pet rat, Hell and Heaven are on their way to Hogwarts!
