Deeksha Bhoomi, Buddhist temple, Nagpur, India: Often referred to as the most peaceful place. Relatively a new one - built in the year 2001, Deeksha Bhoomi is a monument with huge whitewashed dome and is the largest stupa in Asia. It was erected in the memory of Dr. Ambedkar and his event of embracing Buddhism; wherein with him, 60000 others had also converted to Buddhism. The bronze statue of Buddha here, along with the sacred tree has made Deeksha Bhoomi one of the famous tourist places in Nagpur.

ఆషాఢ శుద్ధ ఏకాదశి తొలి ఏకాదశి. దీనినే దేవశయని ఏకాదశి అని కూడా అంటారు. ఈ ఏకాదశి అతి ముఖ్యమైన ఏకాదశులలో ఒకటి. ఇది విష్ణు శయనోత్సవం. శంఖ చక్రగదా పద్మాలను ధరించి లక్ష్మీదేవి పాదములొత్తుచుండగా ఆదిశేషునిపై శయనించి ఉన్న ప్రతిమను పూజించాలి.

త్వయి సుప్తే జగన్నాథ జగత్సుప్తం భవేదిదం! విబుద్ధే త్వయి బుధ్యేత తత్సర్వం స చరాచరమ్!!

ఈ ఏకాదశీ వ్రతం మూడు రోజులు చేయాలి. అంటే రోజూ శేషశాయిని అర్చించడం, ఏకాదశినాడు ఉపవసం, ద్వాదశి పారణ, త్రయోదశినాడు గీత నృత్యాదులతో అర్చన చేయాలి.

కొందరు ఈ రోజునుండే చాతుర్మాస్య వ్రతాచరణ చేస్తారు. కొన్ని సంప్రదాయాలలో ద్వాదశినుండి ఆచరిస్తారు. ఇవి గృహస్థులకు చాతుర్మాస్య వ్రతారంభ దినాలు.

ఈ వ్రతాచరణ ప్రకారం - నారాయణుని పూజించి ఈ శ్లోకం చదవాలి.

త్వయి సుప్తే జగన్నాథ, జగత్సుప్తం భవేదిదం! విబుద్ధే చ విబుధ్యేత, ప్రసన్నో మే భవాచ్యుత!!

చతురో వార్షికాన్ మాసాన్ దేవ స్యోత్థాపనావధి! శ్రావణే వర్జయేచ్ఛాకం దధి భాద్రపదే తథా!!

దుగ్ధమాశ్వయుజే మాసి కార్తికే ద్విదళం త్యజేత్! ఇమం కరిష్యే నియమం నిర్విఘ్నం కురుమేచ్యుత!!

ఇదం వ్రతం మయాదేవ గృహీతం పురతస్తవ! నిర్విఘ్నం సిద్ధిమాయాతు ప్రసాదాత్త రమాపతే!!

గృహీతేస్మిన్ వ్రతేదేవ పంచత్వం యదిమే భవేత్! తదా భవతు సంపూర్ణం ప్రసాదాత్తే జనార్దన!!

ఈ చాతుర్మాసంలో శ్రావణంలో శాకాన్ని (కూర), భాద్రపదమాసంలో పెరుగు, ఆశ్వయుజ మాసంలో పాలను, కార్తికమాసంలో పప్పును వదలాలి అని విద్వాంసులన్నారు.

ఆషాఢ శుద్ధ ఏకాదశి ఏకాదశి నుండి కార్తీక మాసం లో వచ్చే ప్రభోదిని ఏకాదశి వరకు చాతుర్మాస దీక్ష ను ఆచరిస్తారు.

🌻. చాతుర్మాస్యం: వ్రత నియమాలు 🌻

ఏకభుక్త మధశ్శయ్యా బ్రహ్మచర్య మహింసనమ్ వ్రతచర్యా తపశ్చర్యా కృచ్చచాంద్రాయణాదికమ్ దేవ��ూజా మంత్రజపో దశైతే నియమాః స్మృతాః

చాతుర్మాస్యాన్ని అన్ని ఆశ్రమాల (బ్రహ్మచర్య, గృహస్థ, వానప్రస్థ, సన్యాస) వారు పాటించవచ్చు. కుల, వర్గ నియమాలు కానీ, లింగ వివక్ష కానీ లేదు. చాతుర్మాస్య వ్రతం ప్రధానంగా ఆరోగ్యానికి సంబంధించినది.

🌻. చాతుర్మాస్య వ్రతం పాటించే విధానం 🌻

చాతుర్మాస వ్రతము పాటించేవారు. ఆహార నియమాలలో భాగంగా -- శ్రావణ మాసంలో ఆకుకూరలను భాద్రపద మాసంలో పెరుగును

ఆశ్వయుజ మాసంలో పాలను కార్తీక మాసంలో పప్పు పదార్థాలను విధిగా వదిలి పెట్టాలి .. వాటిని ఆహారముగా ఏ మాత్రము స్వీకరించ కూడదు. పాత ఉసిరి కాయ పచ్చడి మాత్రం వాడవచ్చును.

భాగవతం వంటి గాథలు వింటూ ఆథ్యాత్మిక చింతనతో ఈ నాలుగు నెలలూ గడపాలి. ఈ నాలుగు మాసాలు తాను నివసించే గ్రామం యొక్క ఎల్లలు దాటరాదు.ఈ కాలంలో ��రుణోదయవేళ స్నానం చేయడం అవసరం. వ్రతకాలంలో బ్రహ్మచర్యం, ఒంటిపూట భోజనం, నేలపై నిద్రించడం, అహింస పాటించాలి. ఇష్టదేవతలకు చెందిన దివ్యమంత్రాన్ని అక్షరలక్షలుగా జపించాలి. ఏదైనా ఒక ఉపనిషత్తును పఠించాలి. భగవద్గీతలోని కొన్ని అధ్యాయాలను కంఠస్థం చేయాలి. యోగసాధన చేయడం శ్రేయస్కరం. దానధర్మాది కార్యాలు విశేష ఫలాన్నిస్తాయి.
