Of the Earth: A Brown-Eye-Centric Eye Default!

Hiiiii! I made these for my own game to compliment @eulaliasims's lovely darker default skin sets of @withlovefromsimtown's awesome birthday suit skins! I haven't seen a default eye set that uses these color choices yet, so I know it's not popular, but I've decided to share it just in case someone else would like to use them.

I used Oepu's Default Maxis Match Eyes textures, added it to a maxis match AlfredAskew sclera, and edited the colors using my own semi-realistic swatch. Full preview at the end of this post! Color-wise, this set replaces: •dark blue with black •light blue with amber brown •gray with hazel •emerald green with a earthier tone •light brown with a deeper shade Defaults come in two versions: Maxis match iris size or semi-realistic iris size. Only choose one.

Since there’s no blue eye defaults, I've included 3 as add-ons! Choose between custom or geneticized/townified (Very recessive! Genetic value: 2.75), and Maxis match iris size or semi-realistic iris size. They're labeled and packaged individually.

I like the sims 4 well enough, but there's always the question of 'is the fun i have worth the annoyance at how shitty it can be?' and often the answer is yes. If I'm building, or looking to make a character, or I want something easy to do a quick challenge in etc etc etc

but I remembered I have alternatives yesterday and booted up sims 3. omfg. It's so much more fun to just play if you care about gameplay over building or cas. There's so much more to do when it comes to what I personally want out of gameplay.

I'll take the zombies on the fullmoon over the welcome wagon and constant people walking into my house to ask me questions or vampire attacks every day.

ive got a mod that lets you select a new lifetime wish immediately after completing one, I'm going to see how long and how many generations it's going to take me to complete them all. I'm going to move to the worlds related to them as I go, leaving a trail of long distance friends in the relationship panel. I've got some more career ones but then we reach gold digger and that's gonna be fun to do.

#its not flawless or an all around improvement by anymeans im not up my ass enough to ignore that sims 4 has made a lot of good stuff #it did a marked improved job on a lot of occults (not all cause mermaids plantsims ya know) and whilst the gameplay elements #for toddlers and stuff are better in 3 - the toys and the interactions - I think the other elements of toddlers having skills and building #them vs a straight up 'teach to talk' yes no thing is good #i personally definitely prefer the more stylized cartoony look of sims 4 - with default eye and skin replacers though #the attempts at diversifying sims are well appreciated - even if they're often clumsy or shallow they're something and that's good!#the building is fundamentally better and it's also wildly improved on the sims 4 itself at release #at release it wasn't really a marked improvement over three #but now it just is #personally i wish they'd kept visual sliders alongside the push and pull but you can definitely get a better range of features in sims 4 to #but sims 3 is stil just more fun to actually play

Was in mood for some new eye defaults, so I've created some! These here are inspired & based on my Irene eyes, with a bunch of tweaks and changes to make them more expressive, cartoon-y, less muted, and matching to the original game's aesthetic.
