An elite force of defective clones? What could be more defective than defecting to the enemy? Somehow more independently minded than Clone Force 99, this batch of clones are only loyal to the highest bidder, which just so happens to be the confederacy of independent systems...
From left to right:
Noman:
The brains and leader of the outfit, Noman can tell you the odds of just about anything. Unfortunately he's too much of a gamber, and will purposefully field subpar tactics for the thrill of it. For now, his squadmates tolerate his eccentricities due to his collaboration with the Techno Union to find a method of slowing their accelerated aging.
Brutus:
Though large and burly, none would suspect that this heavy weight's true strength is his mastery of psychological warfare, able to manipulate the weak minded with his knowledge of the psyche. If that fails, there's always chemical warfare.
Angel Eyes:
The pilot and sniper of the group, Angel Eyes had hijacked and Crashed just about every vehicle the Grand Army of the Republic has to offer. Get him out from behind cover though, and you'll find out just how big of a coward he really is.

Episode 2: Unpacking Defectors by Paola Ramos—Identity, Whiteness, and Afro-Latino Perspectives
Episode 2 of my bookish thoughts on Defectors by Paola Ramos. If you've been wondering about the book, subscribe to Saturday Reads on haveacupofjohanny.com
Diving deeper into Defectors by Paola Ramos has been a wild, eye-opening ride. First off, I didn’t even realize she’s Jorge Ramos’ daughter! I mean, Ramos is a common last name—I even have it in mine—but still, it caught me by surprise. One part that really shook me was her conversation with an Afro-Dominican salon owner in Washington Heights. As she shared her fears about walking home late at…

Happy Anniversary!
by Daniel Wolfert. As I was making some formatting changes to the posts on this blog earlier this week, I happened to notice it’s the one year anniversary since I began posting these articles! I was quite taken aback as it seems like only yesterday when I decided to continue communicating the consciousness expanding information that I began in MENTAGENESIS: Free Your Mind To Create Your Future!…

A rare picture of former North Korean Chengdu J-7 and MiG-19 in the Republic of Korea Air Force service (USAF F-4 Phantom in the background). Those are defector aircraft from the 1980s.

the first two episodes of She-ra are still so fascinating to me because we're presented with these two characters, Adora and Catra, and from design alone, you can tell Catra's the more rebellious one: with the lack of Horde red on her clothes, ripped leggings, and spiky hair; contrasting Adora's zipped up, clean cut red jacket and practical ponytail. The first scenes show us Adora diligently preparing for the day and arriving on time for training, and Catra showing up partway through, seemingly slacking off, and using an underhanded tactic to secure victory. Catra jokes around and Adora joins in, but Adora straightens up and salutes the second Shadow Weaver appears. Catra slowly assumes attention, then falls back into a forced relaxed position, notably neglecting to salute. Throughout the episode, we see Adora is deferent, always toeing the line, where Catra is "disrespectful" and clearly disregards and resents authority. Yet, Adora is the one to defect.
Though we know Adora is the main character and must become She-ra and join the good guys™, it's still somewhat of a subversion of expectations. It drew in my attention immediately. What reason would Catra, who seemingly dislikes the Horde and is mistreated by Shadow Weaver, have to stay? How could Adora, who previously seemed so dedicated to serving the Horde with all of her being, leave so easily? It's such a good set up for the series

I know it’s fun to extrapolate from Kallus’s cold, sterile room at the end of “The Honorable Ones” and imagine the Rebellion is his first experience with love and comfort, but having read the Kallus comics, I don’t think Kallus spent seventeen years lonely and friendless. The man had friends! “Kallus’s Hunt” is about his best friend from the academy; “No Sympathy” is about his favorite protege/student.
Of course, both comics are about him hunting down these characters after they defect. But Kallus’s problem is not that he never made friends while working for the Empire. Kallus’s problem, based on this sample set of two, is that the Venn diagram between people he respects and people who see through the Empire’s lies is a circle.
There might be a lesson here, Kallus. You’ll figure it out eventually.

🛡️ I AM FINN — THE JEDI WHO WASN’T SUPPOSED TO EXIST A Blacksite Literature™ Transmission (No master. No legacy. No mercy.)
Tumblr media
---
I was born a number. FN-2187. A barcode. A rank. A body assigned to die for a cause it never chose.
I wasn’t supposed to think. I wasn’t supposed to flinch. I wasn’t supposed to feel.
But the Force had other ideas.
The galaxy jerks itself off over bloodlines. Skywalkers. Solos. Kenobis. Names carved into prophecy like exclusive memberships.
But the Force? The Force doesn’t kneel to lineage.
It moves how it wants. And one day, it moved through me— a lowly stormtrooper.
I wasn’t raised in a temple. I was programmed in a bunker. Conditioned to obey. Built to kill. Stripped of self so clean they didn’t even give me a name.
And something still sparked.
Not identity. Not hope. Defiance.
You want to know what real rebellion looks like? Not blasters. Not slogans. Choice.
Raw, terrifying choice.
To stop. To disobey. To run with no plan but "I won't be your weapon."
And when I looked at Kylo Ren— that cloaked disappointment in Vader cosplay— he knew.
“That one doesn’t belong.”
Damn right I don’t.
I picked up a saber I had no business holding. And held the f*ck down.
I didn’t have training. I had rage.
I didn’t have a destiny. I had nerve.
I wasn’t knighted. I decided.
"I am a Jedi."
Not because a council approved. Because when the Force screamed— I screamed back.
---
You want inclusion? Go beg. This isn’t representation. This is retribution.
Tumblr media
---
I wasn’t supposed to survive. So I did.
I wasn’t supposed to matter. So I do.
I wasn’t supposed to feel the Force. So I became its weapon.
You erased me from posters. You sidelined me for toy sales. You turned me into comic relief.
But the Force? It never stopped watching.
I am not Skywalker. I am not Kenobi. I am not anyone you expected.
I was a stormtrooper. A cog in the war machine of an evil empire.
I am no more.
Now I am the disruption. The anomaly. The crack in your galactic bloodline fetish.
I am the Jedi without legacy. The Jedi without permission. The Jedi born from refusal.
And that’s why I matter.
Because I wasn’t born to continue your story. I was born to end its silence.
I am a Jedi. Not approved. Not invited. Not forgiven.
Undeniable.

Nonono but with the idea of Autobots and Decepticons being two separate product lines built by the quintessons it'd be so funny if only autobots could have sex
Wait that's G1 lore isn't it
But also
You're giving me ideas, because I think characters trying to have sex without genitals is gender as hell and really interesting, especially in a Transformers context
