Alemania - Twin Shadows

Can't think of a track that embodies someone as free-spirited as Grey anymore than this one. This song has always sounded like a journey to me and a nomad/wanderer, nothing would fit her more. This is basically her entrance theme, her anthem and the song that'll play at her funeral.

This one is a lot more of an intimate reasoning from me. It all stems from when I originally made Asra back in 2018. I remember, vividly, the entire time I spent in CAS while making her I just had Syd Matters playing in the background. 😭

getting to this super late but tagged by @raiiny-bay <333

what common/uncommon fear do they have? he has emetophobia (fear of vomiting), its not severe but it's pretty bad

do they have any pet peeves? chewing sounds, when finny cracks his knuckles, excessive throat clearing

what are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? his bass guitar, his worn out notebook and an amateur dj setup finn got him to practice on

what do they notice first in a person? their outfit, more specifically their shoes

on a scale of 1-10, how high is their pain tolerance? i'd say 6 or 7, he loves getting tattoos and he's pretty content with his piercings (his mouth piercings are missing from the pictures for some reason, didn't notice until now)

do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? definitely flight mode. he's spent a lot of his younger years in fight mode but now that he's older he tries to avoid conflict as much as possible.

do they come from a big family/are they a family person? his family as relatively small (mom, dad and older twin sister). he cut off his parents but he's still really close with his sister and talks to/visits his nephew all the time. he's a very doting uncle

what animal represents them best? a lizard, a texas horned to be more specific

what is a smell that they dislike? gasoline

have they broken any bones? if so, how? he broke his leg in eighth grade trying to impress someone by doing a backflip and a couple of fingers when he was a freshman in high school

how would a stranger likely describe them? intially quiet and unsocialable

are they a night owl or a morning bird? night owl, he haaates waking up in early. it takes a while for him to actually be awake, most of the time finny has to help him get up

what is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? he loves strawberry flavored things, not a big fan of mint or anything mint adjacent (he uses flavorless toothpaste)

do they have any hobbies? he writes songs/lyrics, candy crush on his phone and he recently got into djing, so he watches a lot of videos about it

boom, surprise birthday party! how do they react to surprises? its a shock and then he's awkward for atleast 5 minutes afterwards.

do they like to wear jewelry? if so, what is their favorite piece? he has a bunch of facial piercings and ear piercings, his favorite is probably his septum. it was his first piercing and he got it when he was 15.

do they have neat or messy handwriting? its more on the neat side

what are two emotions they feel the most? nervousness and love

do they have a favorite fabric? cotton or crochet fabric

what kind of accent do they have? i'd say he has a raspy mexican-american accent similar to dante basco

As a fairy, Linette spent most of her time in the forest, away from society. So, she used movies as a comfort from being isolated for long periods of time. She became a big movie fan, especially since it let her spend more time around humans.

He's extremely picky with what he eats. He's a bit greedy, never lacking material goods but still very picky. He rarely ever settles for less.

Oriana knows shes stubborn but refuses to admit it. Despite her god casting her away, she still worships them. She listens to no one, not even herself at times. She refuses to go against her god's morals, even if it means ruining herself. She can't even admit her true feelings due to her stubbornness for her god.

⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ O4 ─ WHICH OC LOOKS LIKE A PUSHOVER, BUT COULD ACTUALLY KICK SOMEONE'S BUTT?

Really only a pushover for people he cares about. He's incredibly kind and will do pretty much anything if convinced. He's basically a dog... Which means that if you were to hurt anyone, he will fight back.

Usually, Tenebris is incredibly lazy and wouldn't mind not speaking but once you mention one of their hobbies, they can talk non stop. Music, video games, sleep, any of the sort. It makes it hard for them to make friends but some can tolerate their chatter.

3, How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?

I think Roo naturally slipped into homosexuality... I don't quite know how to explain it, but he attempted to embrace his sexuality when he was 16, and has been on a rocky adventure since then. Roo probably had a bunch of crushes on guys as a kid (like cartoon characters), and somewhere between 15-16 he was like,,, oh. So I'm. Gay?? And he's just always had this tendency to lean towards men/masc people. Roo's always been... pretty oblivious even to himself and his sexuality, so he never really questioned it, he just felt like it was normal to like the same sex, much more than the opposite sex (or in his case, literally never having feelings for the opposite sex), and it was kind of a sexuality-shock when he got older, realizing that it's not normal (to clarify: I mean how heterosexuality is like the "norm," idk how to explain it but i think you get what i mean,,,), and that not everybody is solely attracted to the same sex 😭

7, Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?

Okay, originally I was gonna answer this for Roo on Fae's pride asks, but I swapped it to Leo, so here's the answer I did and saved for Roo!

Yes- being """genderfluid""" (using this lightly as I am a slight believer in Roo also not knowing his gender identity along with me LMAO), Roo will often experience,,, many little and big things that will make him wonder if he really does like being a man, or if he really does like being fluid, or if he even wants to lean on either the fem/masc side. It's kind of a messy and inconsistent list of "whatever makes him waver at the moment is what makes him question his identity"

Frances Dubois:

Something about the whimsical instrumentals backed up with the haunting vocals almost reminds me of someone stuck in a loop. There's repetition in the chorus that solidifies that feeling. I also like the juxtaposition of the French lyrics, like the second singer is aware and has a desire to change. When I think of Frances, I envision someone in limbo and part of that is the inability to make a decision. She finds herself stuck, in a way, her anxiety makes the decision for her because doing nothing is something. Whilst Icarus has helped nudge her into making decisions such as aiding her in graduating, speaking to Atlas, and supporting her in her audition. there's still this internal desire to make that move on her own. The first time we see her do that is when she decides to kiss Icarus, which in a way, pushed her back into her loop as it didn't end well. As of current events, she's avoided him since.

Daniella Álvarez:

This song to me encapsulates someone who has had to be independent at a very young age. The beginning opens with spoken lyrics, "She asked me who's taking care of me, I said, 'I take care of me'" and whilst incredibly empowering, there's always that question of how did we get here? Dan is the eldest of two younger siblings. In fact, there's quite the age gap between her siblings and if we look at Valeria, she also looks just as youthful. Dan is the product of an unplanned pregnancy as well as a bit of a narcissistic mother. The disorderly environment in which she's been given, learning to be a caretaker of her siblings and the constant pressure of success has lead her to have self-sufficient character. Whenever I think about her dynamic with her friends, I'm reminded of this scene, and she's the glue that is trying to hold the chaos together.

Kai Castillo:

Christ this song is so good. The instrumentals backed up by the vocals, feels a bit somber. Throughout Tessellate, Kai hides behind the fact that he has these feelings towards Atlas and they've started to bubble over into jealousy as Atlas's relationship grows with Kai's sister, Taryn. I also love that there are a lot of comparisons here to Lucifer Morningstar and religious elements. Kai's relationship with his religion is somewhat of a paradox as he is a closeted gay man to his parents, his sister and church. In fact, he does a lot of things that would bring quite a bit disapproval. He's unforthcoming, somewhat suspicious because his secrets have given him a reason to be. His story is of one that falls from grace.

Atlas Dubois:

While Paul Julian Banks narrates a song about struggling with addiction, I noticed there's a bit of a different beat in comparison to the rest of Interpol's songs. The tempo is much slower, as if exhaustion has set in and we're barely moving along. When we meet Atlas, it's at the beginning of a fresh start, not really knowing what has happened prior. Slowly throughout, we pull back minor details that entail his complex struggles with addiction. What initially started out as a bit of fun, became all consuming, allowing any given opportunity to be a reason why he should use. The bridge of this song also discuss the contrast between himself and his partner discovering his addiction for the first time. There's also a change in his tone during that that I find to be so neat! It does remind me a bit of his relationship with Taryn. I do know that addiction lasts a lifetime, and that love doesn't solve it all, but I also know that right support is the most important.

Last song: "The World We See", by C.B Moniker. this song was written and performed by my lovely friend Hannah, who recently passed away. i miss her dearly, and every day is hard, but my world is lightened up by her music. she was a person just brimming with talent that she should have had more time to make use of, but i cherish the beautiful music we were left with. rest in peach, my sweet Hannah </3

Favorite color: i can't decide between black or pink! especially together. but i think red is also beautiful, especially like, blood red and deep red.
