Ex-Delta Deputy Gov Salutes Olu of Warri’s Peace Efforts On 3rd Anniversary
By Freeborn Abraye Former deputy governor of Delta State, Deacon Burutu Otuaro, has expressed felicitations to the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, on his third coronation anniversary. In a statement, Otuaro praised the monarch for his role in maintaining peace within the Warri Kingdom. He also lauded His Majesty’s contributions to the development of the kingdom, the state, and…

BB!Mistystar really does have the best arc in Better Bones, ngl
context below the cut:
BB!TNP is an arc that confronts a lot of the leftover ideas from TPB, one of which is an overhaul of Hawkfrost. Instead of being "The Tiger in RiverClan," he was groomed by the remaining TigerClan supporters to inherit his father's legacy
Mistyfoot realizes that he wasn't the root of the evil; he was a symptom. And RiverClan doesn't "go back to normal." After another clan discussion blows up into a huge argument, she looks up for help to her leader on the stump... only to see her gazing down with amusement.
The setting sun turns Leopardstar into a black shape on a dark, spiky hill, splinters and branches jagged like rotting bones. Her eyes flash, Tigerstar amber, Dark Forest red, and Mistyfoot understands that these ideas won't die unless they are killed.
She finishes Leopardstar by bashing her head on a rock in the southern delta, an inlet river, which is what causes the lake to run red with blood. Hawkfrost's death is now impaling himself on the stake by accident, charging at Mothwing when she pulls it out of the ground.
Mistyfoot then chooses Sedgecreek as her first deputy.

What are some head cannons you have for Country Branch? I loved the one you did for Classical Branch.
Amongst Country Trolls, most of his 'crazy preparedness' is seen as decent levelheadedness. At his worst he's comparable to the town eccentric who claims his cows can predict the future. Honestly homesteading comes with it's fair share of madness so he's really doing fine.
He doesn't have hooves and similar to Rock!Branch he needs protective gear so I like to imagine cowboy boots were invented for Branch! They might even have fake hooves (like Hickory wore) made for Branch so he feels like he fits in.
As a kid it was kind of like 'Bring your kid to work day' every day for him. He'd sit in the mayor's office and he organized stuff for Delta. He absolutely loves it.
Was jokingly named 'Branch Dusk' to match 'Delta Dawn' because he was her shadow since for years he mostly just followed her around, and he was kinda her opposite a bit.
He invented special crop coverings that helped stop harmful insects from eating their crops and help the soil retain water.
Candy isn't very common to the country clan, and there isn't a wide selection. Molasses or honey candies and licorice, along with candied fruit slices/peels. More common of a sweet would be baked goods like fruit pies, molasses cookies, jams and cakes. Not cakes like we know of, like vanilla or chocolate with icing. Look up 'composition cake' for an idea of what kind of cake they'd have! They also have ice cream, but it'd be more of a 'sweet cream' flavor, but maybe with fruit added! Branch is very fond of Country sweets, being considered to have an average sweet tooth amongst them. I like to think that most country trolls have trouble with Pop troll sweets, maybe even most other tribe sweets.
Branch loves canning, and he was already planning on learning about it. Canning is very serious business. Improperly canned food can kill you. Delta was very happy to see how seriously he took learning it, as kids attention spans can be... questionable. Most kids don't get to help with the actual canning process, helping out more with filling cans or prepping the vegetables/fruits.
One of his little body language quirks is he often grips his belt buckle when his hands are at rest.
He's sometimes frustrated by his lack of extra legs because the others can buck trees to help the fruit fall. He tried it and just hurt his foot and Delta Dawn was very clearly trying not to laugh while she iced his foot.
He doesn't notice that he gains a Country accent until he meets with Poppy and she points it out.
Holly Darlin thinks he's the cutest troll this side of the Kississippi.
He was really excited when his cousin Clampers was born. He helped Delta watch her egg and Clampers switches between his hair and hers. She likes how big Delta's hair is, but she sees Branch a bit like a big brother so he has that advantage.
Likes sitting on the porch in a rocking chair when it rains and looking at Delta and saying 'We needed that.'
Delta Dawn is both the Mayor and Sherriff, and Branch is her Deputy. Growley Pete is the jailer, but he's not very good at it. As Deputy he ends up having to deal with Hickory coming to turn in bounties.
Branch has not told his Ma that the bounty hunter who takes up most of the bounties flirts with him because the second he does there won't be any more bounty hunter who takes up most of the bounties.

A 20-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested for allegedly flying to Florida to attack a fellow gamer with a hammer following an "online altercation" that the pair had gotten into after meeting in the virtual fantasy world of ArcheAge, police say.
Edward Kang is now facing an attempted second-degree murder charge after the assault that unfolded early Sunday in Fernandina Beach, which left the victim with severe but non-life-threatening head injuries, according to Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper.
"I just want to let you know that this is a weird one," Leeper said during a press conference. "Some things make you say ‘hmm’. Some things you just can’t make up. There are some things that make you say ‘what in the world was he thinking’? And there are some things that make you say ‘you’re not going to believe this.’ Well, this case makes you say all four of those."
Leeper said Kang and the victim had never met in person but were "acquainted through an online video game called ArcheAge," which he described as a "fantasy-based, massively multiplayer online game, or an MMO, where players interact in an immersive, virtual world, similar to World of Warcraft."
"This video game is something where you can name characters, you can fight other characters and kill them – I don’t know what transpired between the victim and the suspect, but something made the suspect want to come down to Florida and injure that other individual," Leeper said.
The sheriff said his deputies were first called to a home in Fernandina Beach early Sunday to respond to a physical altercation and "upon arrival, they discovered a significant amount of blood in the entryway of the home and in the victim’s bedroom."
Police say the victim’s stepfather reported being awoken in the middle of the night by screams for help, and he went to investigate, he allegedly found his stepson on the ground in a physical struggle with Kang.
Leeper says Kang – who was wearing all black clothing, gloves and a mask – entered the unlocked home and waited in a hallway to attack the victim when he took a bathroom break during a late-night gaming session.
An investigation revealed that days earlier, Kang took a Delta flight from Newark, New Jersey to Jacksonville, Florida, before purchasing a hammer and flashlight at a hardware store – which deputies found receipts for in the hotel room that Kang had been staying at in Fernandina Beach, according to Leeper. Kang reportedly told his family he was heading to Florida to visit a friend of around the same age that he had met years ago on an online video game.
"When the suspect was asked why he did what he did, the suspect stated that he is a bad person online, talking about the victim," Leeper said. "In addition, the suspect asked our deputy how much time in jail do you get for breaking and entering and assault? And I would say Mr. Kang, it’s going to be a long time before you play video games again."

PSO Timeline of the Profound Sadness (Detailed lore timeline regarding Episodes 1&2,)
There's also stuff about Phantasy Star 0 in here too because they take place in the same universe! But I'm trash and didn't beat it and it was years ago so idr shit I'll go back to it one day ok promise anyway
LONG LORE POST completely spoiler
Inhabited planet Coral is drained of natural resources. The government, organizations called "The Alliance of Nations" (includes 10) , and "Black Paper" initiate the "Pioneer Project" to find a new planet to colonize. They are gifted from a passing asteroid with Photon energy. They use it to backtrack where it came from to find a place to inhabit. After approx. 7 years, Ragol is found. Coral mentions; Shino: RAcaseal, purchased & passed down to Zoke Dr. Calus: was working on an AI, also named Calus, who developed his personality. Calus dies before the AI is completed. Dr. Jean Montague: 11 yrs. old approx, researches D-Cells brought back from probes with Dr. Osto, create MAGs* which are the beginning of the MOTHER/Delta program 7 yearsish later (travel is heavily disputed among sources apparently but w/e) The people on Pioneer 1 included; Heathcliff Flowen: Deputy Army Commander Rico Tyrell: Pupil of Flowen, Scientist, Hunter Dr. Osto Hyle: Lead researcher Mr. & Mrs. Graves: Photon Engineer, Geneticist WORKS (Government military) AI: Olga, Calus, & Vol Opt (meant to assist with Pioneer 1 research and step 2 of MOTHER) - AI Purposes: - Vol Opt: Security - Calus: Information - Olga: Contact, nearly identical specs to Calus (unsure if these two count as AI as they aren't mentioned much) - MOTHER: evolution & control - Delta: Caretaker of MOTHER Established buildings Gal Da Val Island - Research Facility (Houses Delta/MOTHER Vortex and will house Olga) Mines - Robot building plant (+All mine enemies) - Houses Calus (EPI)& Vol Opt - Dr. Osto's first lab (mines 2) Forest - Central Dome: supplies, communication center
Exploration begins followed quickly by construction. Animals are noted as friendly and docile.
Dr. Osto & Graves create a mutant life form for unmentioned reasons, it starts off small, but has the ability to self-replicate.
Ruins are discovered by Flowen. Military WORKS sends in investigation team. Everyone becomes possessed, then dies turning into the bad guys as portrayed in the quest: From the Depths. Flowen leads a second team in. Falz is unsealed and kills everyone but Flowen, leaving him wounded. When he escapes, Falz is sealed again.
Flowen's wound is infected with both D-Cells and Parasitic Gene Flow, causing them to be alive in their own. Osto calls this a "D-Type Factor". Flowen knows his time is short, and pledges his body to Dr. Osto for research under 2 conditions. - A letter is set to his family informing them of his death. - That pioneer 2 is postponed/stopped from reaching Ragol (Spoilers: Neither request are honored)
Flowen is unaware of the Central Control Area's existance until he is brought there.
Olga is moved to the SeaBed, where Osto had been working on developing a super soldier. Construction of the Cental Dome is completed. Flowen's body is merged with Olga in hopes of controlling it. In failure Olga Flow is dumped into the Testing Subject Disposal Area.
Scientists tried moving De Rol due to his size. De Rol kills the scientists and escapes through the ducts. Its tentacles that stab you during battle is what caused the mutation of the cave's dwellings'. (Barbra Ray is a speculated open or salt-water variant)
War continues on Coral and the 10 Nation Alliance is weakening. Instead of telling the Government to stop Pioneer 2, Osto calls Ragol a "Paradise World" and gets the approval to make bioweapons.* Pioneer 2 starts route.
Animals becoming violent and infected causes Rico to begin investigating. Rico activates the pillars upon investigating them, being under the impression they were built to commemorate the landing of Pioneer 1 from the government, however concluding this was a lie. Rico investigates until her demise and leaves confirming messages that: the ruins is a spaceship from the Algo star system of the Original Phantasy Star series to seal Dark Falz, the reborn Profound Darkness every 1000 years to reborn itself from hate as the seal weakens.
On Pioneer 2, Dr. Montague is working on developing Elenor/Mother 00 and Ult/Mother 01 and Elly Person begins contact with Calus.
Pioneer 2 reaches Ragol (approx 7 years)
Explosion caused by Dark Falz in Central Dome occurs when connection is attempted, everyone from Pioneer 1 is killed with the exceptions of Mutated Rico & Mutated Flowen.
Vol Opt's security system is breached due to explosion and corrupted due to unusual Photons & D Cells causing everything in the Mines to attack.
Calus reaches out to Elly for "help" but has been corrupted and craves a human body. Elly backs up & stores his data before he shuts himself down.
Military attempts to take over Ult following Dr. Osto's plans. Eleanor & Ult fuse to become MOTHER, briefly, as due to abnormal Photon energies, its too much for Eleanor.
Calus data is used by Pioneer 2 to begin development of the "CALs system." This is part of a navigation system any Hunter can access. (Like Rico's messages, the floating things that drop you info in episode 2, is part of "Calus".)
Natasha Milarose receives a message from someone on Ragol leaving the impression that someone from Pioneer 1 is still alive on Gal Da Val Island.
Going through VR testing with Elly before permission to reach the island, Calus has form of a FOmar. (techincally there are 2 one with red eyes and one with blue eyes, one loves Elly and wants to be with her aw the other is always basically on the clock doing what its suppose to. ((Assuming this is due to abnormal photons and having 2 of the same system on top of each other which is CAL system active in VR field as well as on Elly, the operator, but no info.)))
Flowen leaves messages using Olga AI through the terminals you use to unlock the Central Control Area. (all terminals in the Seabed belong to Olga)
Calus enters the MOTHER vortex in expectation of being evolved with a true physical form to be with Elly.
Delta admits Dr. Osto abandoned her and the MOTHER system. (though the "abandonment" could have been due to a multitude of reasons with how full his hands were getting.)
I think this mostly wraps up the timeline covering entirely episodes 1&2
Extra stuff:
Flowen's full dialogue
MAG* - "A mag is a core of D-Cells surrounded by metal plating. The D-Cells are kept in control by an "Emotional AI". This means any mag is actually a cyborg of some sort, because they are a fusion of living and mechanical tissue. This is also why spraying them with various medical items causes them to change their shape so drastically.
"This is also why they can do the Photon Blast. The mag is able to absorb the energy from your photonic attacks on enemies, and also to absorb the pain from hits and turn it into photon. They had mags doing PBs on Coral, where the blasts did not take on a particular shape. The things you see in your PBs on Ragol look the way they do because the abnormal photon count, and D-cell count on Ragol is really high. The PB animals look like dark enemies, but with light color bodies. This is the influence of Ragol." - Translated from The Book of Hunters (Eleanor & Ult also carry D-cells)
Bioweapons - The bioweapons scientists of Pioneer 1 were making included using D-Cells, Parasitic Gene Flow, and living beings. This extended from animals, to plants, to even the scientists themselves in efforts of creating a "super solder". The reason behind this is because Falz is seen as an eternal entity, and that's what the scientists want to harness for themselves. Montague does a similar process, but instead using monster parts and photon energy from the mutated creatures, as oppose to mutated genes, to create weapons.
Links to information that helped me accumulate all this: phantasystardynasty PScave (I have dialogue with Flowen's text linked, if you want dialogue from another quest, just change the text between "script/" and ".html" to the quest of the dialogue you want to look out without spaces) Fandom Wiki (multiple pages from this one) This Tumblr post

Hii, sorry to bother you!
Im writing a little thing, and an OC that I made is a country troll who happens to resemble both an unnamed deputy of Delta Dawn as well as Clampers. As I try to figure out her background, I wondered about others headcannons, specifically around Clampers.
If you dont mind sharing your own headcannons around Clampers and her situation and/or the country trolls in general, I'd love to hear! Even just your opinion on people inserting OC's in main/side characters lives.
Obviously, no pressure to answer!
Thanks in advance, from a fellow troll fan starting out in the fandom :) have a lovely day!
Hi👋 No worries you’re not bothering me at all :)
An oc! How exciting, hope your writing project goes well!! Now about clampers hmmmm. I don’t have a lot on her but here’s what I can think of.
She strikes me as a less verbal but still feisty kid, it would take time for her to want to talk to you rather than bite lol. Another sign she’d like someone is to just straight up crawl into their hair. For sure she adores her aunty Delta, follows her everywhere, being her little helper. Though I have heard of some hc of delta being her main caretaker.
Hmmmm as for country trolls I think a very integral point of their culture is their sense of community. Everyone in some shape or form has their fair share of work to do, their settlement can only work if everyone does their duty.
Everyone knows everyone, just say a name and folks would know a trolls entire lineage. Also big believers in it taking a village to raise a kid, so don’t be surprised if a granny is watching a gaggle of kids play from the porch. Or an adult who isn’t even related, scolding them for being too rowdy lol.
Aaaand that’s all I’ve got! Hope it was helpful, and welcome to the fandom!!!! Hope you have a great time <3<3

Obviously noir cynicism is like 60% of the whole mood, but new Delta Green's post-2016 political turn is really heightening the contradictions here.
'In this operation, your team of corrupt feds and deep state operatives will use extralegal violence, intimidation, and blatant abuse of authority to fight...a deputy gang in the LA Sheriff's Department!'

A Bud In The Gun(1)
Gator Tillman(CC) X Fem!OriginalCharacter
Tumblr media
Enemies To Lovers
⚠️WARNING⚠️
Raunchy, angst, mentions of sex, heavy description of sexual events, Chrys worked at a strip club, character death(s), cursing, insults, Gator threatening Chrys and vice versa, slow burn, mentions of firearms and other various weapons, description of fighting, Gator spying on Chrys, character injuries, etc.
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Her last night. Thank God it was her last night at Pink Paradise. Her last night of tightening the ankle strap of her clear, 7 inch, platform sandals. Her last night of nearly getting dizzy from swinging professionally on a body glitter covered pole. Her last night of practiced ass jiggling to entice old clients and new customers alike. Her last night of g-string wedgies, sweating off her pasties, losing her jewelry, and fighting with customers and other pole dancers alike.
It would be her last night of dumping a duffle bag full of cash onto her mattress, from George Washingtons to Benjamin Franklins. It would be her last night eating pizza at 2:30 in the morning with her colleagues, paying for her tuition, and paying for an uber home. It would be Chrys's last night in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Chrysanthemum was quick to tidy up her apartment, packing up her washed sheets and blankets, her glass and ceramic dishes, and her silverware. She helped to load the furniture and 3 boxes with TVs into the moving truck. She'd boxed up her clothes, accessories, and shoes and bagged up her toiletries. After all of her belongings were packed and checked for, the African American woman headed for the airport. A simple procedure of steps.
Getting her boarding pass and plane tickect checked, wait to board the plane for however long, then get one the plane. Although, as she boarded, notions of despair infected her thoughts. The very idea of her being the official last Whitlock.
What made it worse was that it wasn't no coincidence. There were no such things as coincidences in Stark County, North Dakota. Especially with a law twisting, people fearing man who does the so-called "protecting" and "serving."
A man like Roy Tillman. Having his entitled, half-witted son as his deputy doesn't help this fucked town either. Chrys has always been suspicious of them. Ever since, Tillman Jr. decided it was a good idea to mow down Corey with a big ass car tire - OVER A MISUNDERSTANDING NO LESS - and Daddy Sheriff decided to cover it up, she's always been weary.
Ever since, her father conveniently became the prime suspect in some crimes simply because of his skin color. Ever since high school, the way Gator would come on to her in a disgusting way and then threaten her when she turned him down, just because of who her father was.
The way he made his friends pull on her hair when she wore it down or curly... flip up her shirt when she decided to wear it... The way he would back her into her locker and corner her... and then play it off as a joke. The guy had a sick fucking sense of humor. Just thinking about it had Chrys's blood boiling.
It was only a few hours before the plane landed, Chrys taking a refreshing nap before her eyes shot open when her ears focused on the sound of the Inner Call. Her back and shoulders stretched, and her hazel (green) hues scanned the area around her.
"Attention, Passengers. We will be landing in 5 minutes. Prepare for landing, remain relaxed, and thank you for joining us at Delta Air Lines!" The copilot would announce. After the announcement, Chrys began to relax again, concentrating on her breathing and trying to remind herself where she put her suitcase.
The landing was smooth. It's almost smooth enough to make her forget about the tombstones she has to go see later today. Chrys tightly clutched her cerulean suitcase. The sound of her 5-inch cowboy boots clicking against the marble floor where everyone could hair.
Her long, unruly auburn curls caught everyone's eye, but no one could see hers through her dark sun glasses. In true grieving fashion, she wore all black, a long coat on top of a fitted and lacey black dress. She didn't mind catching people's attention, but there were certain times where.. she wished she could've been invisible.
Like now.
It didn't take long for Chrysanthemum to notice someone who has owned the profession title of "scum of the Earth" she wanted to avoid. Dressed in his almost all black, law enforcement uniform with a brown hat that read "Stark County Sheriff" the stood Gator.. fucking.. Tillman.
Even with the hat on she could tell he still had that fuckass haircut. Their eyes met for a moment, but thank God for her black shades. The young woman would just keep walking, finding her boarding line and checking in before walking off again.
Chrysanthemum Whitlock was in the clear.. or so, she thought. Not a second later did Chrys bumped into someone, and it just had to be Tillman Jr. She had dropped her pass, leaning down to pick it back up, and he did the same. That was different.
"Aw jeez! My bad!," Chrys exchanged her apology, the officer grabbing her papers first. He took all of five seconds to scan her name on the booklet, eye all of her features and present that disturbing smolder she remembered him doing... although he grew into it. It was.. tolerable to look at now.
"Here you go... Do I.. know you lil' lady?" Gator questioned, Chrys immediately denying any relation they had in the past.
"Uhm, I don't think so. Listen, I'm kinda in a hurry. Thank you for your help, officer." And there she went, Gator's big brown eyes trailing her appearance and her ever move. He could've sworn he knew her from somewhere...
November 22, 2019. 5:47 p.m. Chrys hasn't cried this much since her acceptance into college, although those tears were pure happiness. The tears she was shedding now were hot and gross, and they would not stop, no matter how hard she tried. Chrys wasn't sure, but she could've sworn, she could hear the sounds of her own wailing. It made sense.
She was weakly cradling her father's tombstone like it was his body. Her body curled up into a ball on her brother's. Several seconds.. minutes... hours passed by. Until it was 8:30, and it was dark. She had to leave. Chrys wanted to do anything, but.. and yet she couldn't stand being there anymore at the same time.
The rest of the evening saw only a few tears...then there was only anger. The woman's anger boiled to a low simmer as she cleaned up her new apartment. She unboxed and put up everything within the day. Three-and-a-half hours of setting up plates, pots, and pans, placing family photos in an orderly fashion, color-coding clothing accessories and shoes, and organizing toiletries, furniture rearrangement and bed-making... It seemed like all the time in the world. Three-and-a-half hours of planning and plotting her home decor.. as well as a fucking massacre.
The next day wasn't any easier on an emotional level, but Chrys was still able to get out of bed and get dressed. Today, along with black shorts and a pair of blood red, snake skinned cowboy boots, she decided to wear a greenish-beige baby t-shirt. She really liked her cowboy boots.
Over her baby T-shirt, she pulled on a fur jacket that matched the color of her boots. She headed downstairs, grabbing a designer purse she bought a whole back when she made a whole bunch of cash at the Pink Paradise. It was a blood red, faux snaked coach bag. Her father tried to send one just like it to Chrys for her 21st birthday.. maybe she should've let him.
Shaking her had at the pondering though, she headed out for the day, her dainty and slightly veiny hands fiddled with her silver hoops before she unlocked her silver Lexus RX. Her mind back tracked to the time where she was spamming Corey about a car to buy. Abe didnt have one at the time, but she had the money.
"I want to feel safe, but I also want it to look cool!" She remembered saying, only for her brother to call her up seconds later. Throughout that week, they were looking up cars together. She said no to a Subaru.
"Can't fuck in a Subaru. That's weird." Which got a laugh out of her. Chrys almost picked a Ford SUV, but then Corey ruined Fords for her when he decided to make a terrible joke about Roy Tillman. Something about Chrys being more attractive to him..? It creeped her out. They scrolled and sent. Scrolled and sent. That was until she found herself inseparable to the Lexus RX. She loved it. He loved her. It was a done deal. A week after she filed the paper work, and sent him plenty of pictures of her new baby.
She never knew what to name the God damn thing... well until now. Corey fit perfectly.
Chrysanthemum started the engine, backing Corey out of the driveway. Her first stop was the local diner. The 25 year old needed to know if it changed, even if it was just by a little. Chrys surprised herself when she remembered the route, the long empty road confusing her to no end. It had only been 7 years. What could she have forgotten in seven years? Just then the valedictorian pumped the breaks, her discerning pupils watching as the man on the horse trotted around her.
Oh yeah.. Goddamn. Not a second passed before she was cursing herself under her breath, making sure there were no more cowboys inside before she released the break and tapped on the gas. Soon enough, she was in the parking lot of the diner. As much as she hated this place, this was home to her. Chrys couldn't count on decent food and warm atmosphere anywhere else... except for maybe Jerry's Pizza at two in the morning back in Bemidji.
She noted the ring of the bell as she entered the place, picking a booth against the wall and setting her red handbag between her and it. A waitress was quick to come to the booth where Chrys sat. While her words and voice pitch were kind, her demeanor was not. She seemed perplexed by Chrys's style, which confused Chrys herself.
What was wrong with it? Did it look out of place? Apparently, it did to those around her. She didn't even notice the men from across the way stealing glances at her. Some amused, some intrigued, and some scowling. In time, she felt the scowling ones, returning the negative gaze with her menacing one. The more the young broad glared back, the more they got the message. Chrys was anything but afraid.
She was quick to order, getting the "Whipped Waffle Delight" and some cranberry juice. As she was waiting, she noted the sound of the bell again, it making her dark hair stand up on her maple brown skin. When she caught wind of who it was, she rolled her eyes to her phone. He had to have been stalking her at this point. And indeed he was. Gator to a seek on the opposite side of her booth, greeting her with an expecting smile.
"Well, haven't you changed?? Aren't you a sight for sore eyes, ey, birdie?" He'd say, Chrys noticing his balls finally dropped before she even thought to speak back to his condescending ass. She didn't say a thing for a moment, she looking at him with that wall built from hatred.
"How?" Chrys would finally respond with, his shit eating grin only getting seemingly more smug as he continued on.
"Took a peak at your boarding pass and thought your name sounded familiar, so I did a background check." Those dark eyes of his were watchful, taking in her incensed glare while she processed his nonchalance. Was he serious? He seemed fine with it, too, like it wasn't a big deal that he just invaded her privacy. He must've known why she was here and why she came back. If it was up to her, she'd become a domestic terrorist and burn this entire city to the ground.
"So why did you come back..? Not that I'm complaining. You look good." Gator added, watching his childhood crush tense up at his compliment. He didn't forget. He never forgot what he did to her all those years ago. How he made her feel, how stand-offish she was after the torment he put her through. But he wasn't sorry either. He wasn't sorry because of how resilient she was now. Somehow, she became even smarter. Chrys was always the smartest person in the room. That made his blood boil in the best way.
To see an attractive competitor wherever he stood was intoxicating. It was a fight to see who would be one step ahead of who. To see who could get the upperhand. To see who had a gun to whose head first. It had Tillman thinking he would find himself melting at her perfectly manicured feet.
Chrysanthemum wasn't thinking anything of the sort. Her mind was racing on the thought of ripping his head off of his body with her thin, metal plated noose she had for private shows. It made her extra money, and it had the potential to subdue - or even kill - someone.
"I'm back because my family is dead. Permanently until I can't stand the sight of you or your father again," The black woman hissed, Gator immediately becoming intrigued and a bit offended.
"There she is.." The deputy would say under his breath as she heard her lose composure. He was always one to eat it up when he got under someone's skin. He leaned in, looking up at the returning waitress that had Chrys's food. Gator watched Chrys thank her, realizing how glossy her lips were. When her mouth opened, he peeped her top set of teeth, her canines still as sharp as ever. He remembered bugging her about it sophomore. Called her a "predator that needed to be put down" for it..
When the server left, Gator already had a comeback ready for the complex flower while she sipped her cranberry juice. He kept it close for comfort, watching her eyes roll as he hissed back.
"I'm sure we'll get sick and tired of answering disturbances that you make. You've always been so loud and angry at that," Once again, those gorgeous, dangerous eyes stared daggers into Gator.
"Piss off, Gator," She'd say between sips, waiting for him to shoo like the infuriating waste of life he was. Obviously, he wasn't going anywhere until she asked nicely.
"You're just proving my point with that attitude, Missy," and he'd keep himself seated with that inconvenient smirk.
"I'd like to enjoy my meal alone, so if you don't mind.." They sat there in silence for a moment, her tormentor getting up and leaving her be, but not before sneaking in a threat.
"I'll be checkin' on you real soon, hun.." It ringed in her wars for a moment, and so did the 'clomp' of his boots as he left. She had time. She always did. Chrys was quick to finish her meal, checking the time on her phone a few seconds later as she left a generous bill. It was only 10:30. She sat two twenties on the table before leaving. She decided to lock her car, taking her purse and going for a wall through the town while she still could.
It was a peaceful, windystroll, Chrys appreciating the way the wind calmed her by blowing through her hair . Already, she was okay again, the multifaceted woman spending thirty minutes out before she realized she was being followed. It was by the men from earlier. One had a tattoo on his neck, another had a black cowboy hat while the other had a tan one..she wasn't sure what they wanted, but if she had to guess they didn't take a liking to the mean mug she returned to them.
Chrys was quick to slow down when they yelled, pulling out one of those longer tasers she had purchased a while back before she had decided to come back home. Before she knew it, she was being corned, then greasy men were already getting handsy, and when Chrys denied their advances, she found herself against an ally wall, the tat necked man's hand tight wrapped around her throat.
That was her queue, her reflexes swiftest as she held up the taser to his chin and shocked him until he let her go. He ended up on the ground, Chrys stomping on his chest before swinging at the other threats. She aimed at the groin of the black hat man as she watched him fall to the ground to falling to the ground as well. Soon, she was tackled once again, attempting to be choked out. She began wailing on the last guy, her scratching out his eyes with her sharp, black fingernails. With his screams came vulnerability, Chrysanthemum taking this time to knock him out.. until she was just punched his face and ruining his nose.
"Hands up in the air!!" A strong voice shouted, Chrys taking a moment but slowly raising her hands from the unconscious man under her. Her amber eyes glanced back, only to see the Sheriff himself. Roy Tillman's gaze softened, looking the lithe girl up and down until he realized who it was.
"You come back just to give us trouble, Whitlock?" He asked rhetorically, nearing closer as he subdued her. As he cuffed her, she quieted herself, only looking back at him when they were both standing.
"They were getting handsy with me, and that's no way to treat a lady. Are you gonna get handsy with me, too?" She questioned, also seeming rhetorical as his hands romed up her waist when they got his horse. He lifted her up on it, the girl shaking her head as she gripped the noseband strands. Chrys eyed Roy as he grabbed her purse and registered weapon. He was quick to get behind her, telling her to spread her legs and then lock them under his. Then was the young woman trapped, her mind circling back to her plans of gaining justice injusticely.
It took all of 45 minutes for him to get back to the diner. On the way, interrogating, asking questions, and only getting the same response. When she verbally took notice of Corey, Roy uncuffed the complex flower and sent her on her way. His tired dark hues lingered on her as she hopped in her Lexus and drove off. She sped through the clear path, her eyes darted forward, and her frame felt of unease. She could tell it was going to remain like that for sometime.
When she got home, she decided to try and disperse the heightened suggestibility she felt, pulling out a bowl of freshly but pineapple from the fridge she had bought from the market last night. She'd chow down, seeing how it was only 1:17 when she arrived home and began to eat her acidic fruit. Throughout the day, she'd clean her weaponry, starting with her silver 9 millimeter and ending with her pump action shotgun.
..Eyes. Chrys could've sworn she felt eyes on her. She was casual about it, thinking if she didn't make a big scene, whomever was watching her wouldn't notice she noticed. Like a black lazy cat, Chrysanthemum slowly emerged from below her left window, only to find a Stark County squad car. God, they just didn't know when to quit. She'd squint, her eyes dilating until she focused on the figure in the squad car.
God fucking damnit! It was Gator. Chrys was quick to slide back down against the wall where she couldn't be seen. If she was going to be watched, she thought she might as well give them a run down of her usual routine. She finished up her pineapple, Chrysanthemum rinsing out the tupperware before tossing in the recycling bin.
She tidied up the kitchen, adding a freshener to keep it smelling sweet. She loved sweet and citric smells. She then turned on the television, keeping her eyes glued onto it until it was 6 in the evening. In that time, Gator spied. He spied hard. He took a gander at the guns on the island in her kitchen, noting how resourceful she still seemed. She was always resourceful, even if it was too flee and not to fight.
Soon turned nightfall, Chrys taking the time to seemingly call it quits, walking around to turn off all the lights except for the one in the kitchen, having the habit to clean up until she felt it comfortable to begin to really unwind. The pretty 20 something began to undress herself, pulling off her baby tee and her cowboy boots with her back turned. Next was her high waisted denim shorts, exposing her thin red g string, leaving nothing to the imagination. Then there was the tattoo on her side and then the burn scar on her angel wing.
"Jesus.." Gator felt his ears start to sting, one look at deep caramel colored skin, and he remembered one of the heavy feelings he had for her in high school. It was a feeling that pulsed in him whenever he watched her smile or laugh, even when he wasn't on the one to do it. One day, he wanted to. He wanted to make her smile.. to make her laugh, blush, moan, grip him like the vice she was..
..He never really admitted it to himself, but Gator Tillman had deep, romantic feelings for Chrysanthemum Whitlock. He still wouldn't admit it, but good lord was she more than easy on the eyes. She confidently strutted in her own home without a care in the world and to the way she seemingly did any and everything with complete grace.
Gator clenched his jaw, his mind racing with thoughts and emotions. He knew he had a job to do, but he couldn't deny the attraction he felt towards Chrysanthemum. And as he sat there, watching her through the window, he couldn't help but wonder what secrets she held beneath her tough exterior.
Chrys found herself back downstairs, now wearing a pair of shorts and a comfortable long sleeve before she picked up her phone. God, was she already over this. "He needs to leave.." She said to herself quietly, caressing at the 3 ambiguous beauty marks on her naturally flushed face. She was quick to her March to her front door, raising an eyebrow at the suddenly shocked deputy. She was tapping her house shoe ridden foot as she leaned against her front door.
"It's 9:00.. You've done enough 'spying' for today! Now get hell out of my property before I start shooting!!" Chrys would shout, rolling her eyes before turning back inside and slamming her door shut. As Gator backed out of the drive way, she contemplated how over this Tillman bullshit she already was, but if they wanted to waste their time ogling at her it's not like she wasn't used to it. Except she used to get paid for that bullshit behavior. Maybe she should've start charging per hour again...

Allison sits down to watch and Mickey sits next to her closely so he could pull her rest into his chest as they watch the press conference. She moves a bit closer to him letting out a sigh so he rubs her back.
"Hello, girls. Enjoying yourselves?" Lois, Murphy, and a few of their sisters come up to the group.
"Hello, Sister Lois, Sister Murphy." Hallie smiles at them.
"Hello, pledges. Hi, Sidney. Hi, Allison." Murphy smiles so they just say hey back. "This must be flat-out hell for you both. How are you girls holding up?" She asks them.
"We manage." Sidney tells her.
"It's really weird, isn't it? To think this fuss is because of you two." She laughs and Mickey rubs Allison's back more. "I mean, not directly, but in fine six-degrees-of-Kevin Bacon way." She smiles.
Allison looks at Mickey, who was staring at them then looks at Derek. They all had the same look on their faces about them. "Now, Hallie, Lia, are you gonna bring your friends to our little martini mixer tonight?" Lois asks so both girls say they'll all be there.
"You gonna start to dress like that once you get in?" Derek asks Sidney.
"That's not gonna happen." She tells him.
"The Delta Lambda are the biggest bunch of fuckin-," Mickey starts but Hallie cuts in.
"Hey, I'm pledging Delta Lambda, thank you." The guys share a look.
"Same here. But I could care less what you say about them just don't include me when I get in." Lia says then leaves the group.
"Oh my god." Sidney says and Allison sees who she was looking at.
Allison jumps up and runs over to Dewey, "Dewey!" She makes him turn around and open his arms for her to run into.
"What are you doing here?" Sidney rushed over and he hugged both of them.
"I was worried about you girls. I heard about what happened and I was on the next plane. Can we talk?" He asks and they say yeah and all go sitting in a gazebo. "Are you guys okay?" He asks.
"We were fine. Things were okay until now." Sidney tells him. "Theater's going great." She adds.
"And Film for me. Oh and Sidney got her first starring role. They open in two days." Allison adds making him congratulate her.
"We got great friends. I'm seeing someone. Nice guy. Premed, no apparent psychic tendencies." Sidney chuckles some.
"And I'm still single." Allison smiles.
"Oh please. You might as well say you're in one if you and Mickey keep flirting and hooking up." Sidney smiles at her and she roll her eyes at her.
"Hey, we talked about our situation so bud out of it missy. We're good right now." Allison makes Sidney laugh.
"I was just worried. Look, if there is some freaked-out psycho trying to follow in Billy Loomis' footsteps, you probably already know him. Or her... or them. They're probably already in your life. They get off on that. Or it's possible they're not dead." Dewey tells them.
"They're dead because they would've been back by now. I know Billy wanted me dead so he would have tried by now." Sidney tells him.
"I just want you two to be careful." He adds making her stand up.
"You think we don't know that, Dewey? But what are we supposed to do? Just cut everybody off? Crawl under a rock? What?" She asks as Allison walks over to her side.
"Just watch out. Keep an eye out. Watch each other. I'm gonna talk to Chief Hartley and local police. I'm gonna just hang around. I wanna make sure you're both safe, if that's all right with y'all." He tells them so they nod their heads.
As he leaves the group goes over to the two girls. Derek asks if Sidney is okay and asked who Dewey was so she tells him. "Deputy Dewey. Woodsboro's finest. What's he doing here?" Randy asks.
"He's worried. Our surrogate big brother." Allison tells him.
"Nothing like a funeral to bring the family together. I'm gonna go say hi." Randy leaves again.
"Chief Hartley said the girl was stabbed seven times. And with the knife wounds they know the killer is left-handed." Mickey tells the two.
"You're left handed aren't you?" Derek looks at him making him laugh.
"Yes, I am. But look, Hallie is also left handed." Mickey points out.
"Dynamic duo." Derek looks at Hallie as she glares at them.
"Yes, but you don't wanna leave out the other 10% of the student population and people who are ambidextrous." Mickey tells him. "Also-," Mickey starts again.
"Drop it." Derek tells him.
"Hello Sidney, Allison. How are you?" They turn around to see Gale.
"Hi. What do you want, Gale?" Allison speaks before Sidney.
"Well, I was hoping I might get just a few words with you both. Mostly Sidney." She says and has Cotton step up.
"Cotton." Sidney says and Allison looks at her.
"Hi, Sid." He tells her.
"Here we are at Windsor College where Sidney Prescott has just been reunited with Cotton Weary for the first time since she wrongly accused him of murdering her mother and Allison Elsher's father." Gale says while her cameraman films.
"What the hell are you doing?" Sidney snaps at her.
"We want to know how you feel. Tell us everything that's happened, looking back on the last two years." Gale says then Cotton talks to Sidney. "Have any comments?" Gale asks her.
"Bitch." Sidney steps forward making Derek get her.
"Oh Sidney share with us." Allison back hands Gale for Sidney because Derek was holding her.
"I'll share with you!" Mickey jumps in pulling her back now too.
"Did you get that on film?" Hallie asks the guy.
"Yes, I got that in film." He says as the group walks away.
"I wish I got that on film." Mickey said letting Allison go and she flipped him off walking away from the group. "Allison. Allie." Mickey follows her.
"Mickey, I just wanna go back to my room and be alone." She sighs.
"Are you sure you don't want company?" He smiles pointing his camera at her.
"I'm sure. I'll see you tonight at the martini mixer." She says in a pretty dumb tone.
"You aren't gonna join them right?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Do I look dumb?" She does the same as him.
"Well..." He gives her a playful smile causing her to hit him.
"Fuck you, Mickey Altieri. If I'm dumb you're psychotic."
"Why do you say that?" He smirks making her feel weird but she laughs at it.
"Well for one you have a fascination with murderers and how the media affects them." She says the main thing that stands out.
"What? People can't have something that's creepy to like? What about you? What's your creepy thing?" He puts the camera down stepping closer to her.
"I find Psychotic killers in movies and TV characters attractive. And not well known real life ones, let me make that clear."
"Well if it were real killers that would be a little fucked up." He laughs at her then sees her mood change, "You don't have anything to worry about. It's not Billy and Stu anymore because they're dead." He grabs her hand.
"No, now I have to worry about this new guy, girl, or two people working together."
"I'll make sure you don't get hurt." He kisses the top of her head.
"Maybe I do want a little company for a little while... till Lia comes home." She says nervously wanting someone to be with.
"Of course." He follows her inside the building and then into the room. "If you don't wanna talk about it it's okay... but what do you think this killers motive is?" Mickey asks, laying down next to Allison on her bed.
"A copycat looking for fun... Someone, who knows, wanting revenge... I don't know." She sighs then notices Mickey filming her again. "You and that damn camera." She laughs putting her hand out to cover the lease.
"Stop, we love you." Mickey sits up as she glares at him through the camera. "Smile while you give me that look." He says making her laugh and she tries to keep the glare but can't.
"What are you doing?" She asks as he sets the camera down facing them.
"I love when you smile and laugh so." He starts to tickle her. When she couldn't take it anymore, she grabs his face and kisses him making him stop, "I love that too." He smiles in the kiss.
Allison wraps her arms around his neck to pull him in closer to deepen the kiss. Of course, Mickey didn't have a problem with whatsoever and accepts it. In to time it was messy, teeth clanking together and tongues swirling urgently.
Mickey's hands were rough as he palmed her breast as he kissed her, groaning a little when he felt her teeth lightly sink into his bottom lip and her hands tug his soft hair.
Sadly the mood was interrupted when the phone rang, "Son of a bitch." He reaches to answer the phone, "Sorry, Allison can't come to the phone right now and Lia isn't home. Goodbye." He ends the call.
"Seriously?" She laughs at him before he leans back in to kiss her but they hear the door.
"Lia's home." He rolls off of her as Lia enters.
"You're here... of course." She forces a smile.
"You're in luck... I was only here keeping her company till you got back." Mickey tells her getting up and going to the door. "See you later." Mickey leaves.
"So what are you wearing tonight?" Lia asks Allison.
"Jeans with a top. Oh can't forgot the shoes." She messes with her.
"I hate you. Try to look good." Lia whines making Allison laugh.
"Yes, ma'am. I can't embarrass a pledge!" Allison salutes her.
"How often do you let Mickey in our room when I'm not here? You know I don't trust him. He's creepy." Lia says going through her closet.
"As I said I get you are looking out for me but..."
Lia cuts her off, "A campus full of hot guys and you pick that thing? Fuck, I'd pick Randy before Mickey." She says disgusted.
"Well I'm not you. Lia, I trust Mickey. He's never made me feel off." Allison explains to her.
"Did Billy it Stu ever make you feel off?" She crosses her arms at Allison and she doesn't respond. "Exactly my point." She says as someone knocks on the door. "What?" She opens it.
"I forgot my camera on the dresser." Mickey goes over and picks it up.
"You and that damn camera." Lia rolls her eyes.
"I'm a film student so... bye again Allison." He leaves the room.

mmm would it be possible for Mistystar and Leopardstar to fight/met during the BOTTE? or was Leopard already fed up with Tigerstar, his batshit insane plans and her status reduced to 'Tiger's another lackey' (like Darkstripe and many others) to really care about revenge? if she ever thought about it, that is.. im assuming she would be pretty pissed about being killed (there was a post about Mistyfoot first trying to poison her and Leopard realized it and instead decided to take her on a solo patrol to.. deal with a rogue i think? and then Misty gave her a rock appointment) and might had thought about making Mistystar pay, but it's been soooo long before BOTTE that she might had.. moved on? or just decided she had better things to do, not sure.
I have a BIG rule for the BOTTE, an unmoveable object, which I will abide by like a solemn vow;
NO spirit will be killed by the same cat twice.
I already changed it so Yellowfang doesn't get Brokenstar (he's not even present) and Brambleclaw doesn't get Hawkfrost, so I certainly wouldn't have Mistystar do it to Leopardstar!
I have some ideas but first; context.
The Killing of Leopardstar
Mistyfoot was sloppy.
Leopardstar recognized the way that Mistyfoot had poisoned her food, because she'd done the same thing to Crookedstar before her. Not enough to make it quick, just enough to weaken.
The emotion that licks at her is frustration.
Is this what her life has come to? Dramatic irony? Is this some kind of cosmic joke? To die just like her predecessor, wasting away for a few seasons in the darkness of this musty den, before solemn mourning and empty platitudes from her underhanded murderer.
What should she even do about this? Reveal Mistyfoot in front of everyone, exile her, she plots against her from the safety of another Clan, some kind of rebellion, rah rah rah we just dealt with this.
It's boring. It's so boring it's offensive. This will be the state of RiverClan forever, deputies poisoning leaders and taking power quietly until the end of days. No honor, no nobility, just treachery until the sky dries up and its rich blue becomes a crackled pale-brown.
If she is to die, she will not go out in the slow and painful way she killed crookedstar without a fight.
So she smacks the limp fish aside and brushes past Mistyfoot with a snarl, not even caring enough to drink in the way her traitorous deputy's ears flushed pale, knowing she'd been caught.
Leopardstar calls for a rushed meeting, telling them all that there's actually 40 - 50 feral rogues on the border right now and she saw them all last night or something, so she's taking Mistyfoot to go confront them right now. Don't follow us.
(Something that the more astute members of the Clan immediately recognize as Leopardstar setting up cover for a death match, including Misty's brother Swansong. She snaps at him when he runs to stop her, Don't Follow.)
Once they're a fair distance away, at the southern delta that divides WindClan and RiverClan, where the cliffs will hide them and the wet stones will not catch the scent (and where Reedwhisker will die, someday), Leopardstar lays it out.
No more tricks. No more schemes. If one of them is to die, it will be with honor.
"You want my lives?"
(Boss music fades in. Misty sees the health bar appear lmao)
"Come and take them."
After she came and took them
Leopardstar is kind of obsessed with the final battle of her life. That fight was everything she hoped for, except that she didn't win.
She wants it again, and she will triumph this time.
Hawkfrost is easily able to twist it into, "You lost only because StarClan shone upon her with that stone. It wasn't real skill. Join our cause and we can get you that rematch, we will defeat Mistystar, win back RiverClan, and dethrone the Stars!" But at the end of the day, it's an excuse.
Same sort of excuse Leopardstar came up with when she believed she wanted an honorable battle, rejecting the guilt and fear that clawed at her to think about dying the way Crookedstar did.
She does this a lot. Dodging feelings of remorse or regret by substituting power fantasies, avoiding any hard lessons. She says she wants revenge, but what she's actually doing is avoiding taking an L. Shame is a vagrant in Leopardstar's heart; she will never let it stay for long.
But...
That's really hard to do when Tigerstar is actively using her and speaking over her in every interaction. Being here, in the Dark Forest, taking the SAME advice she once groomed into Hawkfrost to only look at the positives of Tigerstar's legacy and ignore atrocities, is embarassing.
It's HUMILIATING.
She had her starshine BASHED out of her with a rock and went to the hell she'd been downplaying since she "regrettably" tore down the Bonehill. Being Tigerstar's stooge. Reducing the proud, ferocious leader of RiverClan into a goon.
Towards the end, she will have a scene with Hawkfrost, proud warriors that they are as mentor and apprentice, and vaguely address this. As far as Leopardstar's ego will allow, of course... the shame of it.
It's an important moment, because it's as much about Leopardstar and Hawkfrost as it is about Hawkfrost and Ivypool.
Leopard is too set in her ways to change, even if she is capable of brief glimpses of self-reflection, of which this is one. Hawkfrost, however, is seeing his mentor and himself in a different light. How she'll let herself be humiliated over and over as long as she can cling to her ego... and how by doing Tigerstar's diplomacy work, Hawkfrost is doing the same.
And he's dragged his OWN apprentice into it, too. She accidentally double-killed her friend, Antpelt, but he killed him more by bringing all of these trainees here to begin with. How Ivypool gets pitted against Tigerheart because TigerSTAR is playing mind games, how it's destroying her bond with her sister, how much fun and joy in the Dark Forest he's missing out on by not giving the afterLIFE a chance...
How much he's thrown away for this, before and after his death.
I'm not sure yet if it's the LAST stop before the BOTTE, but it's close to the end of Hawkfrost's redemption arc. Recognition of self through the other. He is part of a cycle he has a choice to break.
But anyway... back to Leopardstar.
She wants to fight Mistystar, but I don't think I'll let her have that satisfaction. She has already gotten nearly everything she ever asked for and can't even acknowledge that she did.
I think it's most fitting for SWANSONG to finally get what he craves; a chance to take a burden off his sister.
Leopardstar allowed TigerClan to STRIP his brotherhood from her because they don't share blood. Forced him to pretend like Rippleclaw meant anything to him, as if Oakheart hadn't been his proud baba as long as he could remember. Stonefur, Mistyfoot, and Swansong are the kits of Graypool; and he's not gonna let this golden FART ignore that ever again.
So my idea is that when Leopardstar meets Mistyfoot in the Second Wave of the BOTTE, she pounces onto her for her rematch, but Swansong BURSTS out of the crowd in response and rips her off, allowing Mistystar to go back to defending their Clanmates
"I don't want YOU," Leopardstar spits, "My battle is with Mistystar!"
"Tough titfeathers! It's MY turn to get a hit in for Stonefur!" He bristles with equal parts fury and excitement, lunging towards a fight he's dreamed of for years.
Still subject to change, though! And I'm not sure if Swansong dies here, or in the 3rd Wave, or if maybe he succumbs to injuries after the BOTTE is over.
It would also be fitting if he got a whack on Mapleshade though... since Maple doesn't even consider him Applekin and won't curse him. It would be neat for him to get angry about that lmao. "What do you MEAN my siblings are haunted by a demon? But NOT ME?? What ELSE am I getting left out of???"
EDIT: I'm currently planning to kill him in the 2nd Wave
#better bones au#BOTTE#BB!Leopardstar#BB!Mistystar#BB!Swansong#BB!Hawkfrost#BB!OOTS#I say this about a lot of BB characters (because I love this project) but man I really like Swansong#Context btw because he hasn't come up in a while: Swan is the adopted brother of Stone and Misty. His biosibs were faders.#Beloved golden retriever coming up for his fake ear medicine to suffer as Part Of The Family#Oak was only going to ask Gray to suckle Misty and Stone for him but then they were like#''Hey wait. Ripple was only an honor sire anyway. This is super convenient wanna parent together?''#And BB!Oak is such a DUDE he was like ''Yooooo ABSOLUTELY I'd LOVE another baby with a friend!!''#Oak cannot walk 5 foxlengths without making a friend. He's just like that.#Sqweezy type grindset#They never really told the kits about Ripple because he wasn't relevant + Queen’s Rights anyway#But everyone else knew Ripple was Swan's biodad because he's the river's reflection of him. and the other two are literally blue.#The three of them were the last to know.#But Swansong is great because he's such a happy kind of angry when it comes to defending his family#He's like ''We have to hide a body? Girlie SAY NO MORE I have already compiled a list of top 10 places they'll never look''#''No we dont need to hide the body..'' ''Ah. Well. Ok that's fine too. Anyway. What is our cover story let's get the details straight''#She couldn't make him deputy because he's too aggressive and supportive lmao#He's actually a lot like a meaner and smarter Oak. He was super close to their dad.#Also he's the mate of Moss instead of Frog because I put it to a vote and we collectively said so#Fixing a minor inconsistency where Moss has more kits after Frog is supposed to be dead#Also Frog was a sleaze where Swankit from the Missing Kits was a blank slate.#Slaps the roof of the RiverClan this bad boy can fit so many blorbos in it#Between Hawk and Leopard and the entire Applekin family I really adore it

how would each of the branch's react to being upset at their brother(s)? like would they confront them would they act quiet would they be honest of try to play it off? like i get that you can't tell me if rock branch would throw down if john dory were to try and belittle him but like about about the others?
We'll assume that this is post Band Together and so is how he reacts to them outside of their behavior in those specific scenarios.
Rock Branch: Secret
Classical Branch: He struggles a lot to verbalize that he's upset. He knows already that the Classical way won't convey 'the depths of which his hurt has reached', as it's a common trend of his emotions being seen as not as serious or big because he doesn't express them as they think he should. I think while he worked it out he'd channel it into composing.
Funk Branch: One of the Branches who has the most communication skills. Brings it up immediately and explains why he's so upset.
Country Branch: Depends on the kind of issue. I think for small stuff he tries to let it go. Goes to the kitchen and leans on the counter, sucks in a breath and goes 'They're family and they're just here for the week. Yer a big boy Branch you can put up with it.' Big stuff though he doesn't let slide and he doesn't let anything pass in public that would undermine his authority as deputy. He gets better about letting the smaller stuff pile up, and Delta Dawn never lets those things slide in her house.
Techno Branch: If not for the laws of this land (Techno Reef) he would have slaughtered them. I jest but... he's kind of ruthless. If you are rude to him he will return it. He's trying his hardest to live life by PLUR but Pop Trolls test his patience, his brothers doubly so.

okay i will say that despite the like delta green isn't like bootlicky right but it does feel a bit like on the fence on the status of the us military and government and shit right like clearly they are bad in some sense but not entirely. but then everything ive seen of the one shots coming out with God's teeth, are all just like oh yeah the mythos is a much more digestible mosnter than us policing and it's great. like fuck one of the endings to God's Law, the one that the playtest actual play got, is like legitimately sickening because the pcs who are like fbi agents or whatever are able to finish the mission in the cleanest most effective way by working together with the leader of an lasd deputy gang that is a monster. it's like bleak and awful and all the oneshots are similar just like yeah us policing is insanely evil.

Character Spotlight: Watcher of the Flooded Delta
Tumblr media
Watcher of the Flooded Delta | Former BevyClan Leader | He/Him AFAB | 68 Moons at Death (died 12 moons ago)
A stoic and stern saber, Log that Floats down Stream was always a serious one. Smiles were reserved for worthy moments- he had work to do. BevyClan through and through, Log left the nursery and threw himself into work almost immediately. Some of the older sabers worried for him sometimes, when the young apprentice would rather train than spent time with peers.
Eventually Log that Floats down Stream loosened up, proving to be a good friend to those he became close to. His strict nature quite never let up though, that’s always stayed with him, specially as he went head on into the guardian role.
Log went on to train one apprentice before his deputyship- an apprentice that was voted in to be his very deputy when the time came, and he couldn’t be more proud. Log also trained another during his time as deputy, being voted in after the deputy asked to step down after a terrible hard pregnancy. When the Watcher passed away and he was renamed the Watcher of the Flooded Delta, he had finished training Leaf that Floats in River as a hunter and set them on their way to become a guardian.
He was known for his selflessness and work ethic, which led him to jump without hesitation to keep crocodiles from harming an apprentice. The wounds were too much for him, passing away way too young. He said he had no regrets, and would jump in again if he had to. The only lament he held was not being able to finish Leaf’s training.
The last Watcher is connected to Leaf that Floats in River! He would also have mentored the saber that will apply for BevyClan leadership, the leader position more specifically!
